We highly recommend Restaurant Cotton! This restaurant consistently has great food and service!! We love the deviled eggs!! The chef, Nick, even came out, introduced himself and gave us some tips to making perfect deviled eggs at home. Rachel was our hostess and the entire experience was just so perfect. We will be back!!

My boyfriend and I went to Restaurant Cotton to celebrate our one year anniversary. It was my first time, his second, and we were very pleased. I had the shrimp and grits, he had the Nashville Hot Chicken, and we had the duck fat fries as an appetizer. I also want to give a shout out to our amazing waitress Sherie. She was attentive, polite, and pleasant. I recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a simple yet sophisticated vibe.

This seemingly hidden gem is amazing! The interior and atmosphere is phenomenal. The menu items and drinks are fabulous. I don’t know why or how it wasn’t busy - Monroe is sleeping on this rare and unique restaurant.

My husband took me here for a date night and they sat us in the most perfect table ! We had the most amazing time and the food was perfect! We ordered the gas station chicken and the pork chop with red beans and swapped plates so we could both share. The drinks were incredible , and we just really enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely come back soon

Ella met us at the door and seated us in a quiet spot. It was our first time there and she was great at explaining menu items and she pointed out the happy hour. We split the Cane & Leaf salad - highly recommend! The salad dressing was so good. I bought some extra to take home! We had the Creole catfish and the deer camp meatloaf. Both were very flavorful! I was especially fond of the cane and Red Mill gravy that came with the meatloaf! Met a man who said he orders the yardbird and biscuits almost exclusively. We will definitely order that the next time we come!

I had a big oopsie with the butter coated red fish, which was absolutely delicious, but my shirt was a mess. Heather was so very helpful and nice, and she cleaned me up with club soda like a champ! I'll look for her when I come back. You should too.

Traveling Texas-Florida we stopped here for a little break and wow! Absolutely love this place. The deco is really beautiful and cozy, food really good. We ordered shrimp wraps and devil farmers eggs, both delicious 👌🏻

My daughter and I stopped in for a late lunch while passing through town. We shared the duck wraps and roast beef poboy since we weren’t too hungry. Both things were excellent and we decided right then and there that we would need to drive an hour and a half from home some time to come back for such good food.

The food was outstanding. While the menu isn't large, it gives a perfect variety, and there is something that will please everyone. The vibe, was easy and laid back. Wish it was closer to home as it would become our local spot, we will definitely be back when we are in town.

Where to even begin..from the minute we walked in, it was a wonderful experience. Our server, Jess took excellent care of us, anticipating every need before we had to ask. Our cups were never empty. The food was to die for. 10 ounce filet cooked to perfection. The duck wraps and duck fat fries appetizers could've been a meal themselves. Everything we ate was exquisite, and we cannot wait to go back! Our dear friend Nick does a fabulous job managing this establishment. It's the best restaurant experience in the Twin Cities, hands down!

Absolutely the Best!! After driving from NC toward Texas, we stopped on a whim. Best decision ever. From the biscuits with cane butter ( OMG!) to the meatloaf, gas station fried chicken and sides, we thought we had died and gone to heaven. But the absolute best was Sherie M., our waitress, who pampered us the entire visit! WE WILL BE BACK!!!

This restaurant is phenomenal. My wife and I live in Southwest Florida, but I think we would actually travel to this area of the country just to go to this restaurant. Everything we ordered was flavorful and perfect. My wife had the redfish and I had the upside down Caesar salad. The redfish was cooked perfectly and the garlic butter sauce was delicate and didn’t overpower the fish. The dressing on the upside down Caesar was ‘gourmet room good’ and the duck fries that came with it were crispy, rich and savory. The cocktail menu is out of this world; second to none! Just watching the servers carry the different dishes and drinks past us made us order more drinks and dishes! For desert we had the amazing skillet cookie. Heaven in a miniature iron skillet! The rosemary pear cocktail was a show and a treat. Well done Cotton. Well done!

Heather was an absolute doll. She was friendly and made sure we knew exactly what was available, what was special and she provided phenomenal service. Best service I’ve had in a very long time. Food was great. She made a suggestion on the venison meatloaf and it was top notch.

I just want to say everything was pretty amazing. The chicken with the upside down chicken Cesar was over cooked and the portion of the duck wraps was very small although delicious. Those were the only negatives of our family outing meal. Everything else was fantastic and fresh. I especially loved the grits, the biscuits from scratch, and the very best meatloaf I’ve ever tasted in my life! Our server Heather was amazing!!! So kind, quick and attentive. Hands down, in my top of the best service I’ve ever had. She was great at explaining the specials, keeping our drinks filled, meeting our special requests. Just a great experience from the service side! The atmosphere was great. I felt like there was a lot of space. The restaurant wasn’t too crowded even though there were a lot of patrons and the artwork was really nice. The only issue was there was something going on in the men’s bathroom sink that was pretty nasty. This is definitely a place everyone should give a try!

Very nice loved the decor and the gents in suspenders was so great. Huge bar, plenty of seating. Mixture of patrons from business to couples, to girls night out and some gathered at the bar. Ladies group had a martini that they place a sprig of rosemary atop then burnt at table was a display to see. And the aroma was amazing. All this and now the food. It was great. Huge portions, tastes wonderful.

What a great lunch! First time ever here and it did not disappoint. The food was high quality, as well as the decor and service!! I had the po boy and my business partner had the chicken sandwich. We went here for a graduation. The food was good. Service was wonderful, and drinks on point. They made sure to keep our cake cold until we needed it.

We were on 2nd day of a 1200+ mile road trip from SC to Texas and rolled into Monroe, LA around 3pm. We were hungry so searched online for a place to eat. Cotton looked to be a good choice. It was! Husband ordered the double meat burger with a side of duck fat fries. I got the chicken and waffles. Both were delicious. Duck fat sounded a bit off-putting to me, but those were some of the best French fries I have ever tasted. Husband heartily approved of the burger which was high praise from him. The chicken and waffles were so tasty. They came with flavored butter, fresh strawberries, and cane syrup. We definitely recommend Cotton.

The food itself was presented, tasted and fulfilled me as I expected. What I did not expect was a high class restaurant smelling like I entered a porta-Jon on a hot summer’s day in the dining, foyer, and bathroom itself. The service felt like all she cared for was a monetary reward from me and did not genuine interaction.

In town on business and decided to try out Cotton Restaurant. Beautiful restaurant, fantastic staff and outstanding food. I look forward to returning to Monroe because of Cotton Restaurant.

*Edit- the owner did reach out and will be implementing some of the suggestions and does seem genuine about it. We had reservations for 15 at 7:45 but did not get seated until much later due to the party before taking much longer than expected with their meal and celebration. We were given apologies and a few free appetizers but felt more should have been done. When you have a space dedicated for large parties, you need to set a limit for the dining so that you are able to accommodate the next large party. The service on the top floor where we waited until we could be seated was nothing but smiles and excellent drinks. When finally seated downstairs, our appetizers were hot and ready and good. I ordered a basket of biscuits to tide us over until the food came thinking that would be comped but it was not, only the first few. It took a moment to get us drinks and then our order. We of course were the last in the restaurant, so not sure why another server didn't step in to help speed it up. All in all the food was good but it came out at different times so some were almost finished before the others got their food All in all it was good but not somewhere I would come back to probbly when in the area.

Very tricky footing when you first step in the side door, at the stairs leading up to Planters. Awesome atmosphere and decor. It was pretty hot the evening we went, but there were large fans running on the balcony on the back of Planters so that helped for those wanted to take in the views. Our bartender was a super nice fellow.. tall, short beard, smiling from ear to ear with every upbeat word he said. This guy truly is a national treasure for the food service industry. We arrived a bIt early to get drinks prior to our reservation at 7:45pm. Unfortunately, the existing party at our table lingered for a bit longer which delayed our seating until maybe 8:30pm. I think I know why. The chef came out and chatted with us a least 2 or 3 times while we were having drinks at Planters, but the scene got stale the longer we waited. They offered us some free apps while we waited which didn't come until we sat at about 8:30pm, so that was appreciated. There were maybe 5 other tables scattered throughout the main ground floor dining area, all were much smaller than our party of ~16, and it felt like our drinks and entrée order taking was a bit more prolonged than it should have. If a party this large was problematic, it should've been tag teamed with a second person. Food came, and my crawfish pasta's sauce was skinned over as if it was sitting in the window. It's a big party order, I get it. Flavor was very nice. The crawfish were incredibly small, possibly from frozen like you see in Costco, because the recent crop we've seen in the Little Rock (AR) area was enormous. So, a little odd for me. But very heavy with the sauce and noodles - I could barely eat half of a moderate sized portion of this very nice dish. Everyone else seemed to like their food. Once we were done and chatting, I was able to better appreciate the woodwork on the ceiling and the general ambiance. It's very cozy. For the price, not sure if we'll be back when visiting our niece at ULM. It was our first time in Monroe, so would be great for us to try other places.

Mediocre food and extremely poor service. PoBoy had unexpected spiciness and pulled beef instead of sliced. Fries were cold and soggy. Pork chop and red beans saved the day along with the salad dressing. Doubtful we ever go back
