We had Prime Rib, the food here is so good and service is great. It is great place for American food.

French style restaurant with lots of specials. Often fish or game dishes. The prime rib special on Monday is $30 as of August 2024 and includes a salad and one pound prime rib.

Filet mignon, T-bone steak, and casual wine

Definitely my new favourite in Hoboken! Had the Rockefeller Oysters and the duck from the specials. Food is really good, you can tell from the composition and craft that the kitchen know what they're doing I don't 5⭐ that often, but this place deserves it.

Very nice restaurant, I liked that we were separated from the bar where it could be enjoyable for a family dinner or date night like we did it. Really enjoyed the Monk Fish.

What happened to Court Street. Haven’t eaten here in a long time. Nice night so sat outside. The service was fine. Food pretty much waste of money. I ordered pasta primavera. It was pasta from a box with carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower. It had no seasoning and the veggies were undercooked. I sometimes get veggie burgers but the menu offered a store bought Dr Praeger’s burger for $14.00. My friend’s chicken parm was below average. It used to be a good restaurant. I would never go back.

This is hands down the best spot for a dinner with a loved one or when your family comes to town. The best food and service always. Great ownership. The place is just amazing and the prices are so good you'll be planning your next meal before you even finish. Look out for their weekly specials which are a super great deal, like lobster night and prime rib night. You cannot go wrong coming here.

I’m a return Court Street customer, especially love their beautiful salmon plate. I was really excited to order the Sushi Tuna special for pick-up. This was the presentation. When we called back and asked if it came with sides, they responded, “…If you had asked for it?” I’m posting as I’m hopeful to hear from the restaurant- Is this something you would serve alone on a plate at your establishment? I ended up having to cook up some frozen veggies alongside this tuna, which made for a disappointing $32 dinner.

Made a reservation for a party of 5 for 7pm on a Saturday. Was told that if we showed up a few minutes early, we may get seated. We showed up about 5-10 minutes early. We’re told they’ll seat us at 7. Hostess and wait staff made zero discernible effort to move the customers at the only table thst can seat more than 4 people (why they couldn’t push two tables together is beyond me but whatever). At 7:05, I was told the table we were waiting on had paid the bill and they were waiting for them to leave. 7:15, “a few more minutes.” 7:20, I see them getting their bill so at 7:05 we were lied to. Hostess gave no explanation, just acted like this was news to her. 7:30, still just wait and see is all she’s saying. 7:35, the wait staff is taking pictures for the people at the table we were waiting on. 7:45, we finally sat down. Food wasn’t served until 8:35. Zero apology from the restaurant, not even the offer of a free drink or an appetizer or even recognition of it from the waitress. The food was fine, although my own order was not done as requested (asked for medium well and got toasty and well done on the burger). I’ve gone to this restaurant before and have enjoyed it but I’ve never had to wait 45 minutes for a reserved table in my life, and there was zero effort from wait staff or hostess to say to the patrons “hey, sorry, but we have a reservation coming in and we need the table.” Instead they were taking pictures for them???? Off the rotation for a while. Sorry.

I had the filet of sole and a glass of Chardonnay and my wife had the burger. Sole with au gratin potatoes was excellent and loved that they have gluten free buns for my wife (she has an allergy).Food and atmosphere was great but it was a busy Friday night so just a hair slow on the service but still great experience. Reasonable prices, will definitely go back!

Great place for an easy evening bite, service was wonderful too! I got the hamburger with the seasoned fries and it tasted great!

Extensive menu choices, I had wild boar, and attentive wait staff. Excellent atmosphere. White table cloths and locally themed decor. Good choice for dinner with friends or a date. Reasonable prices for this area.

My new favorite street for an after-work stop, a couple of beers and a football game in Hoboken. The front part is an old school bar, and the back is the main dining area. The food was surprisingly delicious. Monday is the prime rib night. Everybody here seems local and friendly!

Update: upon going there a second time, the food is still great, I like their presentation. Compared to all the other dishes the Steak was a bit boring perfectly made but it was plated bad. The chocolate parafait was really good, a bit too chocolaty but very delicious. I wanted to go here for a while now. I loved it there. I had cow liver and it tasted awesome. The food was good portion and beautifully served. The staff were polite and friendly and very responsive. Overall I really liked this place.

Old school joint. Love this place. Wasn't too noisy, and the food was exactly the kind of mid-century style we were looking for. Go with the Clams Casino.

I was visiting from out of town and chose Court Street because of the Wednesday Night Lobster Fest as I'd been wanting lobster for a while and hadn't found it. I will say up front that the lobster I had was, indeed, delicious. I went with my adult daughter, and from the moment we walked into the restaurant we knew we'd made a good decision to go there. The ambiance is chic with old world charm. The reception was friendly. The menu had many wonderful options. My daughter chose a butternut squash salad and duck. She said both were wonderful. My lobster was accompanied by soup or salad. I chose salad which was very good. It also came with a potato and other vegetables. All were very good. The service of all who waited on us in any way was also just great. I plan to visit my daughter again early next year and will definitely return to Court Street when I do.

Wait staff was very attentive. The brie puff pastry appetizer was delicious. All of our entrees had sizable portions and were beautifully prepared, not to mention tasty.

Initially we were given the table in a dark corner. So we moved to the bar area tables. Our waitress was difficult to get so we relied on the busboy and another waitress. It had been about 20 years since I last visited and I don't think we'll be back anytime soon. Yellow lettuce...tore off the rusted edges

The service and atmosphere were great. I had much higher hopes. We ordered off the bar menu so maybe that’s why but the food was lack luster. We got the chicken sandwich that was honestly pathetic, the thinnest possible piece of chicken with dull colorless lettuce and tomato. Also the “medium rare” roast beef sandwich which was probably more well done than anything. The bread was soaked in butter and extremely greasy. The waffle fries were also disappointing and tasted frozen and greasy with nothing really in the middle. Sadly would not go back.

Not worth it for the price. Food is just ok, and cheeseburger came without cheese, and when asked for it they just put a slice of cold cheese on the burger. Burger was very dry with no condiments at all and there was miscommunication also with the side. We wanted instead of fries, some salad and instead there was a full side of salad we got charged for. Lamb was alright but wasn't anything amazing. I don't think we had an assigned waiter, had multiple people serving us and getting the check, not sure where the guy who took our order went. I get that was altered the meal but this wasnt anything crazy so I was disappointed they had a hard time getting cheese onto a burger.

The food here is ridiculously GOOD, we’ve been here couple times now and the service is great, by far our favorite restaurant here in Hoboken.

Very sad.. walked in to a full bar as always went with 3 others looking for a table for 4. To my surprise on a Friday night there were 10 empty tables, the hostess looked me in the eyes and said sorry "our next opening is 830" I looked again counted the empty seats and said are you sure? The hostess with this expressionless face looked at me and said nothing. I would of excepted "sorry there's a party coming " but nothing!! Did I mention there were people eating in there...Well good luck Dan, after going to your establishment for 30+ years, family parties, baby showers and all other celebrations we will no longer give you and the friendly hostess the time of day..

I may be biased as I live 20 steps away, however, this place is my go to. Not to mention, it’s everyone’s go to spot as well. Solid food time and time again. Amazing wine list. Never upset with an order either in the restaurant or for pick up. Coming from the suburbs of NJ, I feel like this is a hearty American Italian spot with amazing prime rib and lobster specials. Every entree to even desert is great. I don’t know what else I’d eat in Hoboken if it wasn’t for Court Street.

10 open tables but couldn't be sat for dinner service. Was told they were all reserved for within the next hour and a half.

Was there for birthday celebration. There were 12 of us and all were happy with their meal.

Cozy atmosphere, accommodating for families with young children, and great comforting flavors.

This little hidden gem is definitely worth a visit. Overall a very nice experience, from the service to the food to the ambiance.

I enjoyed the classical vibe with great jazz background music in this restaurant. The food was great with unique menu and the servers were nice! I also enjoyed the bread with black olive sauce before the main meal. Great place for social dinner!

One of the few places on Hoboken where you can find fairly priced meals

I had a birthday there and worked with Cassandra who was very accommodating. The brunch was excellent. Every course was good and i am a picky eater. I look forward to going back.

Great place to visit if you're in Hoboken

The last time my husband and I visited our daughter and son-in-law, we decided to go to Court Street for dinner. We've been there before and always find the food and the service to be excellent. My daughter and I had Duck Confit which was a real treat! My son-in-law had Osso Bucco which he said was very good and my husband went "light" with a Portobello Mushroom sandwich which was very meaty!! The desserts are decadent. I don't think you could go wrong with any of their dishes. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food and service.

We can’t believe it’s taken us so long to try this place! Wow! What a find!! The bar area is great - lots of seating at the bar and high tops near the windows. The restaurant area is also lovely with table cloths and linen napkins. Very extensive wine list with amazing prices! And the FOOD…so much choice and absolutely delicious! I think we’ve found our new favourite place in Hoboken!

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious. The prices were reasonable considering the quality and portions. The server was accommodating and friendly. The only suggestion I would make is to make a reservation ahead of time because this place seems pretty popular. We went on one of the coldest days with terrible weather but it was still packed.

Great place Lobsterfest Wednesday is awesome!

Court street is the perfect local spot, it never disappoints, and Jeff is the best bartender in Hoboken. Bar none.

We sat outside on the sidewalk and enjoyed a lovely summer evening.. Artesian bread and olive tapenade made reading the menu even better. We both had signature summer salads followed prime strip with summer vegetables. We have our new hoboken favorite restaurant.

Food is great, but they will not deliver outside of Hoboken, otherwise I would order from them once a week. When asked, they say its because they will only keep one delivery person on staff and do not want to send him outside of Hoboken.

First time here and I've lived in the neighborhood like 34 years. Had the skate and it was made to perfection. Place is all right.

Veal was great. Was there for a private party, buffet lunch. Traditional restaurant setting.

My partner and I had the lamb and steak entrees and they were amazing! It's a cool low key bar and they have a stack of trivia cards at the tables next to the bar to play while waiting for food. Staff was great. Nice place for a date. Could use some more classic bar food on their menu

Went for the lobster fest on Wednesday.. food was good! Salad/soup, 1 1/4 pound lobster, au gratin potatoes, corn on the cob, some beetroot mash for $28! It’s a lot of food! Lobster was really enjoyable! Definitely would come back for the food. Service was not good at all though. Nobody asked us how we were, how the food was, anything, the waiters were quite cold.

Never a bad meal here in all of the 6 years that I have been frequenting this establishment. Their olive tapenade is outstanding. Their daily salads, entrees and desserts are too delicious to mention. Monday is prime rib night and Wednesday is Lobster however any night with any of their fish, pork,or chicken specials is a good choice. The cheesecake is awesome.

We went to Court Street for the first time last night and we were blown away. The service was efficient and our server was friendly. We got the chorizo and mussels appetizer and it was phenomenal. For entrees we got the halibut over risotto and the lamb shank with potatoes au gratin and whipped beets. Both were to die for. We will absolutely be going back. This was our first time dining inside in almost a year and we felt safe the entire time. The staff were all compliant with masks and there was hand sanitizer everywhere. All the tables were adequately spaced for safe dining. We cannot wait to go back.

Food was delicious! The coconut shrimp and the surf & turf entree are a must try. We’ll probably swing by again just to get these again. Thank you!

Food was okay noy quite what one was expecting.

First time eating here and was impressed. Great food and service. The menu had some nice and unique offerings. I went with the short ribs which fell right off the bone. Highly recommend.
