This delicious hidden gem is inside the spotted dog bar. The vegan options were fabulous: especially noteworthy were the mushroom poppers (which come with a very special barbecue sauce) and the vegan cornbread (probably the best I’ve ever had!)

The food was amazing! You must try the Fat Man Chicken; the sauce is excellent, and the chicken is perfectly cooked with a crunchy exterior. One cornbread will not be enough because they are addicting, and the spicy collard greens are perfection!✨

Consistently great food! The sauce over the fat man chicken is sweet and mildly spicy- my absolute favorite. Food never tastes greasy and the portions are filling.

The cuisine here is amazingly authentic! So rich in flavor, especially the greens. You can definitely taste the culture in every bite. It’s quite innovating what you can create without meat/animal products. Such a fulfilling experience.

I love Culture in a Bowl. I am a vegan and live in Detroit where they were located before moving to NYC. They have the best greens and cornbread. I hadn’t eaten cornbread in years because I am vegan. The greens are seasoned just right and the cornbread melts in your mouth. Luckily for me, my daughter lives in NY, so I will definitely visit them when I’m there. Our loss is their gain. Good luck & prosperity in your new location.

Potato pepper soup for the win! And you can't forget about the jollof rice. Overall, great food and customer service.

Culture In A Bowl is EVERYTHING!!! Hands down one of the BEST restaurants in New York....period! From the pepper soup to the spicy collard greens, you can’t go wrong! Oh and did I mention their VEGAN?!! Big ups to a City Girl with BIG DREAMS making it happen in NYC! If your ever in the city, be sure to stop by!

When I say that Culture In A Bowl is one of the BEST, please believe me. From the explosive flavor to the freshness of everything I've ever tried. I can honestly say that I'm blown away every time! I would highly recommend giving them a try.

I attended vegan love for a “Dreams Session” event and while I was there I tried the food. It was simply amazing! Very delicious! My friends and I needed up purchasing so many dishes to eat there and then some to take home. My favorite menu items were the greens and the vegan cornbread.
