What a great experience! I am an amateur roaster who needed ran out of beans while traveling and needed to find a roaster. Current Crop delivered a great selection of green beans along with a lesson on roasting. The staff was great about teaching and sharing their knowledge. If you have never roasted your own coffee beans Current Crop will introduce you to the process and you’ll be on your way to the best cup of coffee you have ever had.

Brilliant business model. We were drawn in by the sign out front claiming we could learn to roast coffee in 10 minutes. They have fresh, green beans from all over and washed in a multitude of methods that you can choose from. Once you pick your beans, you use a countertop roasting device to roast them to your preferred level. Rhea and Josh were so attentive and friendly, and the shop dogs Fletcher and Tucker were affectionate. Highly recommend.

Wow. What a cool, unexpected experience in NOLA. If you love coffee and have any interest in the bean to cup process, you gotta drop in. Huge selection of greens and processes. Thank you Rhea and Josh for the great customer service and the shop dogs for the sweet love.

We took the coffee cupping class which is a class that explains coffee and various varieties and types. This was a fascinating class and this shop is not like any I have been to. You purchase unroasted coffee and can roast at home or right in the shop. I am not a coffee drinker and I found this shop and class absolutely fascinating. The rest of my group are coffee drinkers and also learned a lot more about coffee. I’m sure my explanations are not doing justice to this shop but highly recommend visiting if not for a class to explore the shop.

Great staff and amazing coffee.

This shop is truly special and a rare find. They stock and sell green, unroasted coffee from around the world. The selection is staggering. After making your selection, you can roast it right in the shop. And the coffee prices are so inexpensive, $12 for a pound for my selection. Very friendly staff. I learned so much. Home roasting equipment also for sale. A kind of local heaven for three true coffee devotee.

We ran across this place while exploring the Garden District in NOLA and it was one of the coolest coffee roasting experiences I have had! They have so many varieties of green coffee beans from various regions and the associates educate you on the nuaces of flavors and how the roasting process works. You get to see your coffee be roasted right infront of you and you can taste the quality in your cup when you get home to brew it.

This place was pretty dope. Elaine was super helpful, very knowledgeable, and you can tell they love what they do here. The roasting processes was cool to watch and learn about. Definitely will be back!

The coffee roasting class was fun and educational. Super nice and helpful staff. Purchased and roasted 15 bags of coffee to share with friends and family. Looking to visiting again in Sept.

I wandered off the street one day into Current Crop. They fixed me up with some coffee which was delicious. Since then I have gone full into roasting my own. Katherine and Ezra are the best.

Had a great experience here. Took one of their first roasting classes months ago and was really impressed by the education, the fun of roasting my own beans, and how knowledgeable and friendly the owner was. Would definitely be a regular if I lived nearby.

I enjoy shopping at Current Crop! The quality of their beans are outstanding and the variety is exceptional. The staff is customer friendly and is very knowledgeable in the coffee roasting and cupping field! If you are interested in roasting your own coffee and enjoying what you roast this is your shop. They sell coffee roasters, green coffee beans and will help you find the right bean/beans that you will love! Give them a try you will not regret it.

My partner and I really enjoyed the roasting class here! A fun and different activity for the weekend. We also got to take the roasted coffee beans home. We can see ourselves becoming regulars here! I personally love seeing people turning good ideas into good businesses! Definitely worth checking out

Current Crop is a phenomenal place to get your coffee! Because they use green (unroasted) coffee beans, they are able to offer high quality for less. Plus, their staff can help you find the right roast profile to fit your tastes. 100% all round.

INCREDIBLE shop! We stopped in while walking around and ended up talking to Catherine for more than an hour while she walked us through the roasting process. We came back later during our trip to attend a cupping session. I’m not even a coffee drinker myself, but I learned so much and this made me want to start drinking coffee! There is so much knowledge and passion in this shop, and not to mention the prices are amazingly low. If you’re at all into coffee you need to come here!!

This place is pretty unique. It's cheaper for your beans than most other "decent beans" around. They have tons of different varieties to choose from, though they help you narrow it down so it isn't overwhelming. They are now where I will get my coffee for sure.

Love going here to get and roast my coffee. Everyone who works here is very knowledgeable about coffee and happy to teach you!

Great customer service! The two coffee experts there were SO friendly and made my friend and I feel so welcomed and they had extensive, interesting knowledge on their craft. Wonderful conversation and the smell off the freshly roasting coffee happening before your eyes is the kind of memory to stick with you for decades to come

This shop is such a fun experience for any type of coffee-lover! Doesn’t matter how much you already know about coffee, their team is there to answer all your questions and help guide you on your coffee roasting journey. Ezra helped us roast a delicious Mexican honey process coffee (you should ask him about honey process if you’re unfamiliar). We also took home some Ethiopian, Costa Rican, Indonesian, and Yemeni coffees to try roasting ourselves! My only regret is not attending a roasting or cupping class. Next time!!

Very impressed with the amount of time dedicated to education and to explaining the roasting process as well as the many varieties displayed in a logical and appealing way. We were able roast two of our favorite though somewhat difficult to find coffees. Tastings a regular offering as well. A local treasure.

I happened to find this place while shopping in the area and ended up staying for almost two hours. The staff was incredible and happy to share wisdom and insight on bean selection and roasting instruction. Such a memorable and amazing experience! Definitely on the road to roasting my own coffee thanks to everyone at Current Crop. A must visit for anyone who is passionate about coffee!!!
