Went today. First time here. Got a spicy chicken sandwich. Comes out 2 tenders on a bun and some jalapeños. Terrible. I didnt eat a bite of it. $18 + tip. I talked to the lady and all she could say was sorry. No refund. Would not recommend this place

Fast service even at lunch time. Delicious food reasonably priced. Most expensive food is a burger at $9.39. Everything else is less than that. 1 scoop of ice cream was what I'd say was three scoops.

Service was good and fast. Restaurant and staff were clean and courteous. Food was hot and was prepared as explained. Will go back again.

We finally were able to stop for lunch and we weren't disappointed. I had the covered wagon hotdog and he tried the BBQ pulled pork dog. Both were absolutely delicious. The potato salad was also very very good. The only thing I could complain about is the price. 2 special hotdogs and two sides of Potato Salad was $18 and change which seems high to me, but with inflation I guess not too much.

The food was OK at best the brownies were dry and stale threw them away

We tried D&B this past weekend. Wow! Talk about a classic sandwich and ice cream parlor!! I pigged out with a burger and a chili-cheese dog--both were wonderful. The french fries were the best I've had in a long time--perfectly fried, crisp and tasty. My son sampled the ice cream and couldn't stop talking about it. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and patient with our long evaluation of the menu and helpful explaining what various items were. They were very agreeable handling my wife's food allergy and made us comfortable for a very enjoyable lunch. We're definitely coming back to work our way through more of the menu!

Everyday is 4th of July mural is great. So is the selection of dogs and burgers. Great experience!!

Love this place! Food and personnel are outstanding! Reminds me of a great dog "joint" in Chicago! I do wish the parking lot would get repaved and painted, however.

Came in to get a to go order and the woman with the short haircut at the counter was so snobby and rude for no reason. Would not recommend.

If your reading this review wondering if you should go. GO. This place is as authentic Americana as it gets. Some spectacular burgers dogs and ice cream. Folks are always friendly.

Way too expensive for a hotdog. It was good but I hated spending $30 for something so simple. The two of us got drinks and fries with our hotdog and spent $30 which definitely wasn’t worth it at all.

I love this place so much. They treat us like family (me + 3 little ones) everytime. Food is banging. Ice cream is banging. Come here and see for yourself.

We drive from Sevierville to eat at D&Bs. We haven't had anything. We did not love! The stuff is amazing and entertaining! I felt like I got dinner and a show! Covered wagon hot dog is my favorite! The banana split is so yummy! I can't recommend them enough. Hurry run! Go visit eat with them! Don't forget to try the onion rings!

Best Dogs and Hamburgers period Food looks EXACTLY like the menu, and they are quick to deliver the food and it looks incredibly appetizing. I don't know how they keep their prices this low as it's super reasonable. I always visit whenever I'm in the area.

This is the second time I have been here. The first time I had been here was many years ago and didn't leave much of an impression. Today, was completely different. I had the D&B dog, the chili cheese dog, the Rubén dog, a mushroom swiss burger and chili cheese fries. I didn't intend to order and eat so much food, I initially got the burger, the chili cheese dog and the mushroom Swiss burger. WOW!!! 👌 👏 they were so tasty, so full of flavor juicy, perfectly cooked. The burger was perfectly cooked with, being juicy, perfectly sautéed onions and mushrooms, and Swiss cheese perfectly melted all on lightly toasted bun and the hot dogs were perfectly cooked with just right amount of snap and perfect amont of toppings for all three dogs and ironically, didn't weigh me down at all. After the first 2 hot dogs and the burger, I found myself still hungry and eager to try something else. That's when I got the Rueben dog and chili cheese fries. Again, perfection in terms taste, and again they were not heavy like typical fast food fare. Chili was not overly acidic, so no heartburn or GERD afterwards. I am now a BIG fan, and will try to visit at least once a week. Thanks, guys for wonderful food.

My Dad & I stopped in for lunch today. I've had a hotdog there before & liked it. Today, not so much. Ordered the covered wagon. The cheese on top wasn't melted, the weiner itself tasted like it had sat in water for a very long time & the other toppings were not hot nor warm. The onion rings, however, were excellent, so we didn't leave hungry thankfully. I'm glad others enjoy it, but we will pass.

In the recent years, many local bests and favorites now are gone or have lost their luster...in my recent two visits...they are holding it down. I'm working on a documentary on it, and seen what's happening. Great job and thank you. Don't be scared of oak ridge highway and get the best chili dog around.

I had a very poor experience picking up a carryout order at D & B's Hot Dogs and Ice Cream this afternoon. Upon arriving, I waited at the counter for some time without being acknowledged or assisted by any staff members. I eventually noticed an order sitting unattended on a small table past the counter. The table had a hand written sign to delivery drivers. I stepped to the table and saw that it was my order. I turned to an employee and advised her that this was my order. She told me that her boss is "CRAZY" and would "cut me and make me look like a pirate" if seen there. She then said she needed to verify it was my order. I offered my ID, but she said that she need to see the phone that was used to place the order. I didn't have the phone used to place the order. Someone else ordered and I was to pick it up. She said again that her boss is "crazy" and that if she couldn't see the phone that it would appear as though they took "two hours" to prepare the food and she would be in trouble. While I understand businesses have policies, the lack of proactive service and the employee's highly unprofessional comments about her boss's violent tendencies left me very uncomfortable. I hope management addresses these issues promptly, as this behavior is unacceptable in a customer-facing role. The staff may also benefit from additional training on properly handling carryout orders and verifying customer information. With significant improvements to service, professionalism and order handling procedures, D & B's could provide a much better experience. However, I cannot currently recommend this establishment based on my interaction today.

It was the best food I have just tried, and their workers are so friendly, the service was very fast, I literally sat down at their table and within a minute I had the food in front of my face. I would literally come back again and again.

Yummy. Great hot dogs and a huge variety. Will def visit again when I'm town. Wish we had something like this back home.

Food is great. Although some of the staff make it very clear with their tattoos they are anti-god and probably woke. Doesn't make it for the best atmosphere here in the south.

Stopped by for the first time. I was amazed by how good the food was. Staff members were super friendly and brought the food out pretty quickly. Menu selection was broad but not overwhelming. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely be coming back.

What a fun find, and folks are super nice here! I just got a dog with kraut & mustard but that is exactly what I wanted. They have fantastic sides and dogs and burgers at all levels of tasty. Also an ice cream side, cookies, and cookie sandwiches! Yum. My only complaint is that it's right by a highway exit and really hard to turn left out of the parking lot. I went out of my way to eat here and I don't regret it!

It was amazing. I had the "I'm only one man, hot dog," and loaded fries, and it was amazing . We tried some of their ice cream, which was just awesome, my family, and I loved it.

This place deserves 5*. Has to be the best hot dogs I’ve ever had. Ambiance could be better, I guess, but it’s a casual place, plenty of seats, clean, and with friendly staff. Two hotdogs and a drink was around 12$ and it was the perfect amount of food.

I had the Covered Wagon hot dog. It was delicious. The staff was friendly. The place was clean with a small town atmosphere. I would highly recommend.

Had to pick up a door dash order and I could smell the fries they ordered, they smelled hot, like jalapeno hot. So on my way back I decided to stop there, the first time in the 4 1/2 years that I've driven past them. I went in, ordered the fries, they had jalapenos and cheese and I believe chili, but boy were they good, a bit soggy due to the sauce they put on them, but they were good.

Best hotdogs in Knoxville. Burgers and ice cream as well. They grill the buns and the choices of toppings are plentiful, but I love the chili cheese dog and the slaw and onions dog. Just be careful getting in and out of the parking lot, they are in Solway which is the starting line for the Pellissippi Speed Way heading south to Knoxville.

The food is good here. It's a bit expensive for hot dogs but anyone should expect to pay more eating out, it's a choice you make!

This place is worth braving Solway for the service alone. The owners a great guy who's working along side his workers every time I'm in there. They also have the best hot dog in town. Plenty of options for toppings. The burgers are great, especially the Alamo burger. Definitely try the rattlesnake fries. All and all one of my favorite places to eat.

This place is always busy. Service is friendly. Food is delivered to your table hot and fresh. Just watch one of the workers go through their complete selection of chips to someone on the phone. I personally would have just said we have potato chips, corn chips and Cheetos. She patiently went through every flavor. That is service above and beyond as far as I'm concerned. We had the megladog and the chili cheese dog with bacon and mustard. With rattlesnake fries and seasoned fries with ranch on the side. The food was out almost as fast as we could sit down. It was hot, fresh delicious. They are so very generous with toppings you really need a knife and fork.. or lots of napkins. I love their split top buns grilled with butter. If you like hotdogs, you will love the dogs they have here! They also have hamburgers, bbq and chicken sandwiches but the hotdogs are why we come. Highly recommend!!

Me and my uncle had lunch. Both mine and his burgers were hard and dry. Large servings. Has an older soda machine without Coke Zero. More expensive than I thought it would be. The full service ice-cream area was surprising.

This little award winning hole in the wall is a great place for a regular hotdog or a crazy hot dog. Great pulled pork and great sandwiches. Whenever we are nearby we make it a point to go here and stuff our faces. Their fried Bologna sandwich is ridiculous. If you like Baloney, you'll want to try this super thick sammy!

I recently went to D&B and was delighted with the food I received. Even though I am local, I have heard of their hot dogs but the family and I were in burger moods so we got burgers. They were MASSIVE as was the super large Banana Split! So expect large burgers and large ice cream servings. We were all happy so I put this on my recommend list and its worth traveling to from either West Knoxville or Oak Ridge areas for sure!

There food is amazing, little pricey

First time here and we’re glad we did. I got the covered wagon hot dog and onion rings. My wife got the slaw dog and loaded fries. All of this was delicious and the sweet tea is great. It was a little pricey, we paid $27 for all this but it was really good. We will be back soon. We ate it so fast that I didn’t even get a picture.

For a side of the road diner, this place delivers what is supposed to for the customer. The dogs and pulled pork were delicious, and the customer service was on par. It's nothing fancy, but it's good eating.

Always had their hot dogs before, today tried hamburger and it was great also!

Atmosphere seemed nice, hot dog ideas were interesting, and I was not a huge fan of the actual hotdog they use, but I would try it again.
