First time here and it was popping! The lot was almost full and the line was out into it; there were less people inside, though. The workers were friendly and as fast as possible considering the wait. The music inside was also great, as I'm a sucker for classic rock and pop. The ice cream (especially in the avalanche) was thick, rich, and creamy. I enjoyed my PBJ avalanche so much that I went back up and got a hot fudge sundae. 😂 Great portions and prices and so many options! I took ages to decide because I wanted to try almost all of them. It's easy to see why this is a Fairmont staple. Update: I can vouch for the Chips Ahoy avalanche too.

I’m updating my former 5/5 on everything review. The last 3-4 times I have been to DCC there has been something left out of my order. The hot dog sauce has 0 flavor. The girl who waited on us yesterday could not be bothered to do anything more than the bare minimum. We had to ask for the rest of our order 2 dif times bf she finally brought everything. And she’s the one who took the order. And we still got something that wasn’t correct. Disappointed.

Best ice cream and awesome portions! The staff do a really great job for the amount of foot traffic they get. You can't go wrong with any ice cream you choose and the dino nuggets are good! My favorite was the vanilla raspberry soft serve swirl, yum!

The soft serve sizes are straight out of an episode of Parks and Rec!!! The baby cone, only $2.12, was like a medium cone anywhere else. My husband ordered the medium (pictured) and it looked to be over a pint. I haven’t started in on how freaking delicious the soft serve was. It was the best thing I ate the whole week in West Virginia. Be prepared for the long lines, though. But it’s worth the wait.

DCC is a local favorite! Their cones are tall, and the line is always long. If you don't want to wait in line, go early in the day, on a rainy day, or wait till a cold day in the fall. It's not uncommon to meet travelers while standing in line deciding what to order. When asked whats good, the conversation usually leads to "Don't order the large"... lol. They have a huge menu and literally can't go wrong. My go-tos are a Peanut Butter and Marshmellow Sundae 🍨, Hand dipped Butter Pecan Waffle Cone, Funnel Cake Sunday, or a Reese's avalanche... I do with that the staff would wash their hands between taking cash and making icecream/food. There are a couple of servers who always have dirty shirts, shorts, and hands :/ However, there is almost always someone in the production area cleaning counters or sweeping the floor. They have added parking and seating in the last few years. I would love to see them really organize production and get customers moving along quicker. I'm sure that their sales would increase dramatically! We would stop in 2-3 times a week if the line wasn't so long/slow :/

Great ice cream and they give you a ton. Oreo avalanche is my usual but everything here is great!

Staff are rude and unprofessional, leaving a lot to be desired. Based on my experience, I do not reccomend this place.

Edit: I messaged the business and the response from management was great. If you want your order taken in a timely manner go inside. Do not wait outside. Me and another gentleman waited outside for 10 minutes with no one taking our oder. We saw 5 groups go inside and their order was taken before ours even though we were next in line. We then both go inside and wait behind two people that came way after us. A new group comes and waits outside. The server then goes to take the outside order. Me and this other gentleman have been waiting for 15 min now and they are serving the ouside within seconds of them arriving. I inform the server that we were just waiting outside for a very long time and no one took our order. She rudely cuts me off and says "we go back and forth taking order" and proceeds to take the outside groups order. I'm here with my baby in my arms and the man behind me has two young kids. We've been waiting 15 min and they are going to serve a large group of adults and teen kids ahead of us. Have more compassion and common sense. Came on Tuesday at 12 noon.

Dairy Cream Corner is electric! The atmosphere is super fun and their ice cream cones are huge! This is the quintessential small town ice cream stop that everyone has to go to when they come home from being away or have to stop by if they're just visiting. The large soft serve is so big that it barely fits out their service window!!

The ice cream here was great and the portion size was massive! Too big actually, our teens couldn't even finish theirs. I had a single hand scoop in a bowl and it was seriously the size of a DQ blizzard

This place is a GEM..Just a short drive from Morgantown. The ice cream was better than any chain I've ever had and the portion was HUGE. Price was more than reasonable.

The ice cream is great but can often be crowded in the evenings or after an event. Expect to wait at least 10-15 minutes.

Great price good ice cream. They need more than 1 casio cash register. We waited 10 minutes for the kids to change the tape for the 1 register.

For starters, the staff is very friendly and helpful even though it is a very busy place. It is cash only. The atm inside is cheaper than other atms though. They have a very extensive ice cream and topping selection. The portion sizes are very large. The baby size is too large for a toddler. The ice cream itself is delicious. The hot food however was very disappointing. The double cheeseburger was very sloppy, the burger patties themselves tasted unseasoned. The whole thing tasted like hot hamburger meat. The shrimp basket was inedible. The shrimp was overcooked and soggy at the same time. Breading falling off. The fries were soggy and limp. The spicy green beans were good.

Busy little place. Prices are good and portions are nice. Service was slow had to wait but again it's always a busy place to go to so expect a small wait it's worth it. Very large menu selection it's just not ice cream

This was my first time visit. Stop here for ice cream. Line was long and moved steadily. Portions are huge for the cost. Will be looking forward to another visit. Just a reminder for anyone reading the place is cash or local check only. There is an ATM inside though.

Of course their ice cream is delicious I got the Carmel sundae with nuts mmmm my friends got Pina colada shakes and a cheeseburger. The regular food isn't that great but ice cream use awesome so had to give food a 4. service is great they are just so busy and did not know they ONLY take cash didn't see signs for that.. Had to give atmosphere a 4 since so loud and confusing how and where to place your order etc.. the atmosphere is great for kids and teenagers, etc. this older people not so much.. Overall it's a good experience for kids and ice cream parking is rough. I would recommend!

This is a staple of the Fairmont Community! The long lines are more than worth the wait. We are always greeted with friendly smiles. Large portions, always. Service is great and the prices are great as well! You can’t beat the lunch specials !

Old time dinner feel with good food. The ice-cream is what is about though. In my opinion it's way way! Better than dairy queen.

Ridiculously long line at times, but the large variety of avalanches, sundaes and other specialty stuff make the wait worth it. My personal favorite is the strawberry shortcake avalanche. Also, do know that they only accept cash; there is an ATM inside, however.

The line is part of the experience. Enjoy it.

The Dairy Creme Corner while yes you had good icecream we had a family standing next to the no smoking sign chain smoking. I spoke loudly serval times about it even the other tables looked. I’m with my 3year old my 10 month old and my 9year old. I went to the manager as we were leaving I spoke to the manager who said well did you tell them? I said I spoke loudly about how rude and inconsiderate it was smoking around my kids. One it should not be my job to tell them. Then he says well do you want me to go tell them even though your leaving. I said yeah I still think something should be said he said to teach them a lesson I said yeah as he continued making ice cream I will never be back

My home town favorite. I have been going here since I was a kid. Best ice cream ever. Awesome food as well.

Highly suggest not trying to call or place an order for pickup. Cant get these people to answer the phone. And when they do answer, they hang up on you every single time.

There is almost always a line to get ice cream and other treats at this local legend! Remember to BRING CASH! Dairy Creme Corner is a local institution! Their portions are absolutely insane! Try finishing a large ice cream cone! They are only open seasonally. Typically they close for the winter around October and reopen in March.

First time experience there today I only had a small raspberry cone but for the price and the amount of ice cream they give you it was well worth it I highly recommend this place if you are wanting dessert and in the Fairmont area

Dairy Creme Corner is a seasonal delight! I always loved coming here as a kid because no matter which dessert I ordered, the portions were HUGE! Even as an adult, I stand by that perspective. Word of advice-- whatever size you think you want, order the next size down. You can thank me later (lol). If you have time for a meal, they have great burgers, hot dogs, and stuffed pepperoni rolls. They also serve pretty much any fried appetizer you could possibly want. Just make sure you bring cash!! They do have an ATM on site just in case you forget.

Had trouble with motorhome and owner let me parking until morning when I could get a service technician to repair it. Awesome place and people

A Fairmont tradition. This place is always packed and somehow they still manage to help everyone in a timely manner. It's busy because it's so good ! We are new to the area and we're really surprised with the amount of menu options for food and the desserts of course. Careful ordering a large ice cream it is a tower ! They are not kidding with the sizes. Everything we have tried has been good and recommend the pepperoni rolls. Only open for the season, will be closing first week of October. We look forward to next year !

This place is the BEST! Great food, large portions, reasonable prices and fantastic service! can't ask for more than that!

If you want delicious ice cream for a reasonable price. This is the place to go. There is usually a line out the door and at the window. But the wait is absolutely worth it. They have many options as well and only accept cash but they have an atm inside.

The cone serving size is HUGE! A small is more than enough. Order a child’s size for children.

Great portions BUT zero enforcement of smoking policy. They literally have signs that say no smoking and no loitering yet people were doing both. One couple was just sitting smoking and watching videos. Not a place I would want my children or myself for that matter. Told a staff member but they did nothing. Either have to take it on the road or not come anymore because I’m not going to sit there and breath in smoke the whole time.

This is where we end our trip when we go to the waterfalls or visit Fairmont. Ice cream is always good here 🍦 Staff were nice They only take cash here!

Local business . A little raggedy inside and out but huge menu with ice cream cones, sundaes, etc. Huge portions and great service.

I love most of what I've eaten off their menu. Their hot dog sauce is one of of the best around, i usually get a slaw dog and it beats the local competitors. My personal favorite is the Turtle Avalanche made with ice cream, caramel, pecans and chocolate drizzle and next fav is Srrawberry and Banana Avalanche made with chocolate ice cream. Their fried foods are great too but their Funnel Cakes are one of the best I've ever eaten notwithstanding working for a carnival many, many years ago and a guy that a t owned a corn dog and funnel cake wagon had an awesome recipe for funnel cakes too.

Ordered a mint milkshake and had the green color but not the flavor. It was simply vanilla. The parking lot is awful. There's a parking space that shouldn't even be a parking space. A car parked there and blocked our car in our parking space.

This is the go-to spot for soft serve ice cream if you’re in Morgantown or any surrounding areas! The ice cream cones are huge. Actually, the whole menu is huge. They have sundaes, slushees, blizzards, just about anything ice cream you could want. The food is also surprisingly good, I HIGHLY recommend the curly fries!

So excellent. A throwback to the good ol days. Bring cash. Do not order a large cone, it's insane! The folks there are so nice! Refills should be free, but other than that, this place rocks!

Great All-American Drive In (no curb service though). Handmade cheeseburgers, awesome West Virginia Hot Dogs and hand spun shakes! The food here is completely WONDERFUL. The soft serve is delightful and the portions are HUGE! Grand portions in food and deserts! Outdoor and indoor seating available. Outdoor seating is either covered or in shade tree. Bring your biggest appetite because it will be satisfied at the Dairy Creme Corner.

Okay I'm really depressed over this trip to Dairy Queen Corner. I have been waiting to go here and finally got the chance on Thursday July 6th and I feel it was a waste of money and time. I was excited to try their Hot dogs because everyone that follows me on Yelp and Google knows I love my Hot Dogs! I was surprised they weren't busy and I passed Woodys and Att's to go here. I went inside instead of the window (which I liked by the way, them having old fashion walkup window service) I owent to counter but cashier was too busy on phone to take my order. 2 girls were talking behind her all huddled up but finally the younger of the 2 came over to ask if I needed help. She literally looked 12!!! I placed order for 2 Hot dogs with chili, slaw and onions and she charged me $6.56. I paid but was surprised because menu says 2 Hot Dogs for $3.99 so it should have been less than $5 I stood and waited for several minutes, took time to take some interior pics and she brought me a small brown bag. I thanked her and left. When I opened the bag I was horrified! See my pics!! Both Hot dogs were rolled up into one small pieces of white tissue style paper. (They should have been wrapped separately!!!!!!) NO NAPKINS, NO SALT OR PEPPER! So, I went back in. All the girls behind counter were out of sight. I wanted to return the thrown in messy Hot dogs and get refund. To go means usually you are driving...no one likes freaking messy food when driving! The weiner were boiled tasting but had good flavor. The chili was extremely bland so I'm very glad I went back dor salt and pepper...it was needed. The onions were sparsely on there and that slaw was horrible. I had to take it off my second Hot dog all together. The slaw was very wet and tasted old. It also tasted like old store bought Walmart deli Cole slaw. It was bad! I really want to give them another try and update this review with better news. I will try them again a few months but definitely not eating store bought old Cole slaw!
