*Update* 2024 they got more pretzels and stopped being as rude about them still stressed out but hey it's a high demand store. I'd highly suggest better air flow for your workers it's why they're irritable and forgetful. Chicken is great and a frozen yogurt is always a good treat and it's a better alternative than ice cream rthat doesn't provide those lovely probiotics. And their "house ranch" is now good with just enough flavor. Well done. Still a crazy mainer willing to be out in the rain cold or sunshine for small that lick of that good cold stuff. Inexpensive and a great lunch option.

Ordered a last minute ice cream sheet cake. Asked them to just decorate it spring time. We were blown away. Whoever decorated that cake did a fantastic job. Thank you... want to post a pic. Met the new owner and they are very nice people and will do very well. Thank you, Joe and Jackie.

We drove by Dairy Queen and saw they were open for the first time (that we had seen) in at least 6 months and we were so excited. We ordered, we paid, and they didn’t have a couple things so they offered substitutes. They were so genuinely kind, great customer service and some good food! Can’t wait to visit again later on! Thank you guys!!

The taste is exactly the way I remember...drive INS dairy queen onion rings a malt killer bacon cheeseburger!!! It really took me back..long live dq!!!!

Changes since the last owners CLEANER machines // newer equipment and best but not least CLEANER TASTING BLIZZARDS while having this about a few months ago there wouldn't be consistent hours and the machines when mixxing blizzards was never cleaned in between and they layed off workers for no reasons The NEW OWNER is amazing went tonight and got blizzards fearing it wouldnt taste as they should be but i was overall thrilled with excitement and it tastes like the dairy queen im used to clean and fresh tasting blizzards with that nice sweet vanilla doesnt taste like the cheap vanilla mix icecream youd always get from mcdonalds kind of vibe really shocked and happy this dairy queen took a wonderful turn

Still not open, claiming to be open on their official site and here. Every time we drive past they're shuttered for the season. Please figure out a way to update your hours each season if possible.

Says it's temporarily closed but no reason to why and the page still says it's open at those hours are you open or closed

The place is closed by 6pm on a Friday, what a joke. Need to update service hours on the DQ app which claim to be open till 9pm (hahahaha). Maybe it’s the off-season but plenty of people are down the road at Dormans. I’d review the ice cream (always good) if we could buy any. :(

No substitutes on sides at the Rockland ME location where you can at others. Doesn’t take Amex cards.

Never open and even when they are they don't answer their phones to confirm one way or another.

Good food, fast and a reasonable cheaper price

Ordered an Ice-cream Cake from the Rockland Dairy Queen. I went to to speak with the owner. She helped me pick out the perfect cake for the date, I needed. I picked it up and it was perfect. Everyone loved the cake. Great job Rockland, Maine Dairy Queen.

They used to hold your blizzard until you were done with your meal. They don’t do that no more which sucks!

Line was alil long yet it's summer time. Same ice cream as before.

I would give zero stars for the customer service if I could. I was just here with my husband at 4:45pm, July 11th. We ordered a peanut butter sundae. When my husband brought the sundae to the car I noticed there was barely any peanut butter sauce. I was disappointed so, he took the sundae back to the counter and kindly asked for a little more peanut butter sauce (and showed the employee how little sauce was on it). She was a younger woman, who was just about to add more PB sauce when a woman who appeared to be in her late 40s shouted at my husband, said “No! no! don’t do that” to the other young employee, and told us the pb sauce is pre portioned and she would not be helping us. There was another employee present, who witnessed this and told her “you’re not being nice”. My husband then asked for a refund and she slammed the order window door in his face. Not only did she treat us like absolute garbage, but was extremely volatile and disrespectful in doing so. I’ve never experienced such horrible customer service in my life. That is not how you speak to people. At the very least we would have paid for extra pb sauce but after being yelled at, we do not want to give this particular location any of our hard earned money. I will never be back and recommend to those I know not to support this unprofessional business. I suggest driving a little further down the road to Dormans. They treat their customers with respect and make much better sundaes.

This place never has set hours, it's hit or miss and their website is NEVER right. If they are open...the icecream is worth stopping! Just not what is expected for a franchised DQ - they are all across the country.

Can't have an experience cause they are never open !!!!!! Wait I apologize , they only open when its 70° and above which here in Rockland isnt often

Very busy long waits and they can't get orders right

While the ice cream is good, it's not great considering the price. I'm not sure if they charged me double or what but 2 medium cones and 2 mini cups came to $29.. that's over $7 per ice cream..

this is a amazing facility. The owners are the most hard-working, sweet, patient, people I’ve met. I suggest getting your food and desserts here, because not only is it a Rockland Maine staple, but it is a place where you know the people making your food are doing their best to serve you.

Sign says “due to staffing issues. The grill will be off at 6 PM”. It’s 5:50 on a Saturday night and DQ is close. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!! Pull it together.

Everything was hot and delicious, was disappointed there was no gravy! Great spot to stop for hot eats and cool treats!!

They discontinued the salads and the sweet and sour sauce was very disappointed

Decent ice cream, good service. Though I wish they made their seating, or at least some of their seating non smoking.. made it difficult to sit and enjoy the company of our friends with a cloud of smoke blowing towards us

I always love dairy queen but this time around I was even happier because the owner (I presume) was so nice to me and was flexible with my silly request I had for my ice cream. She also took some time to chat with me since it wasn't too busy when I was stopping by. I got the spicy burger they have on the menu along with a Reese's extreme blizzard without chocolate syrup. I had no complaints with anything I got as it was hot and fresh where it should be. Along with nice and cold where it needed to. Definitely pay them a visit while you're around!

It was the place open on a Monday night in Rockland so I didn't go hungry. It is what it is.

That is very tasty peanut butter crunch blizzard. And also help a motorcyclist pick up his old rest Holly off the road a young girl pulled in front of him to pull into the ice cream place causing him to walk up his brakes and his bike went down. Everybody at the ice cream place gave her heck she drove off didn't even stop to see if the motorcyclist was okay. Fortunately he was the bike only got a few scratches. He got none. That is a dangerous intersection where that Dairy Queen is.7

I have to always give Dairy Queen a top review. This location served food and ice cream. Burger and chicken were up to par and fries are always good. Of course we had a Blizzard!!!

My son decided at the last minute that he wanted an ice cream cake for his birthday. I called and spoke to a very nice woman whom was super helpful. I picked the cake up just over an hour later and she even wrote on it for me!

I enjoyed having lunch there with my daughter as well as the blizzards we had. Never a disappointment going there. We love it!!!!!

It's a Dairy Queen, you know the deal. But the woman who takes the orders is a sweetie, and the guy who cooks the food is fast, and they even have ice cream cakes there despite the small size of the place. Oh, and I love cheese curds now thanks to DQ. Recommended.

Very busy but the line went quickly. They had four tables to sit at, but right behind some parking spaces so not much privacy. It's right on the main road at a stop light so there are always cars idling right by you. Try to get a table furthest away from the road if you don't want to small fumes while eating.

Dairy queen always has great burgers and fries! Plus ice cream you cant really beat that!

No indoor seating but outdoor seating great for summer time!!

I love getting a vanilla cone at the Dairy Queen when making a quick stop. When I have a chance to get a banana split blizzard, well, then, I'm in heaven!

This is one of the cooler looking Dairy Queens with no pun intended! It is a take out environment so you can't go inside but it is a nice spot to get some ice cream especially during the summer because it isn't too far from Main Street. Dairy Queen also offers food not just the cream ice!

Easy in and out, everything you remember as a kid. Chocolate ice cream machine was out of order most of our visit last year, fixed for this visit. We are happy!!

People eating flamethrower burgers and blizzard ice creams like tradition. This place has been here so long it must have a trillion memories and experiences. Nostalgic and delicious. They should invest in grass fed beef and free range chicken. Innovate and adapt.

Great place to eat from Burgers to ice cream we have a pretty good menu the only problem I have is the parking hard to get out of when really busy

Had a burger and it includes fries and ice cream. It was good.

I ordered vanilla ice cream with peanut butter topping on 2 of the scoops, and chocolate on the other. Covered with whipped cream and nuts and cherry. I had a difficult time finding the chocolate, but what I DID have was very good.

As good as any other Dairy Queen and consistently so and that is why people go here. Fairly "fast food" and "ice milk" service with a smile.

This DQ has had nice lunch meal for $5 for a few years! Have not raised price, FOOD is not a 4 course dinner but is really tasty and they give you an ice cream snack for dessert! Nice folks!

Busy time. Quick service, good product and good price. Tables outside on a cool evening made for a pleasant after dinner ice cream.

Love the chicken strips however the white gravy makes the meal. They did not make it there anymore. Hope they start. The strips are good but not as good without the gravy.

How can you go wrong with Dairy Queen?! It was a popular place too- always a line but fast service. Only wish they would have stayed open later

Great Lunch - Best Burger I have had a long time!!

Being from Texas, we searched out the local Dairy Queen (known as the Texas Stop Sign) to order a refreshing Heath Blizzard. The staff was friendly (conversant) and the Blizzard met our 'back home' expectations.

Visiting on vacation here. Had a large lunch so not very hungry for dinner. Stopped by here and the gal nicely said I could order from the children's menu. She was friendly and helpful. The burger and French fries were served hot and were very tasty. The chocolate dalry ice cream for desert topped it off!! All hit the spot. For fast food it was a great buy for $5.29. Higher quality than Mickey Dees.
