Fantastic restaurant with amazingly delicious food. If you are looking for an authentic taste of Korea, the grilled Mackerel is fantastic.

Food and service is really good

I love this place so much!!! It is very traditional Korean style Korean comfort food with grilled fish and soup with complementary side dishes. People there are also so sweet and caring and the place is so clean. P.s. it doesn’t smell fishy bc it has lot of fish but not in a bad way but if you’re not used to Korean grilled fish smell this place not be for you. If you love grilled fish on the other hand, this might be the best place bc their fish is so crispy and just juicy!!! YUM!!!

Seating is tight, service was excellent, the food was large portions, but not my taste. The appetizers were bland to me and kimchi very sour, but might be suited to someone elses preferences.

My family and I stopped by while traveling thru town. We ordered Bulgogi and Dak Kalgooksoo. Their Banchan were flavorful with the right balance of spice and heat. Entrée portions are generous. Our server was helpful and very nice. We were pretty happy to find this restaurant.

Had a fantastic experience at Danji. The food was great followed by top service. They were friendly and checked up frequently. I recommend the bulgogi and jiggae here. They captured the essence of real Korean cuisine.

The only grilled fish restaurant in Centerville. I feel this every time I stop by for lunch after playing golf, but when I open the door and walk in, there is a strong fishy smell, but the stewed cutlassfish is heavenly.

I missed dinner today, the stewed cutlassfish smelled stale, the rice was undercooked, and the service wasn't that great, so there weren't many customers, so what's the rush... I came from far away... .I regret it!!!

I love all the Korean food in here. But my favorite is the seafood and green onion pancake - Haemool Pa-jeon. It's so big that I always take some home to ear later. It's sill delicious even when it's cold. The crispy texture and the flavor are amazing! just try! highly recommend it!

I love this restaurant for several reasons: Food is authentic. Staff are efficient, friendly and work well as a team. It's cozy and even thought it's often busy, I've never had to wait for a table (at lunch). They remember me every time I come in even after a few months, including what I like to order and what I'm not able to eat (allergies). Every visit has been better and better. For a real Korean food experience, visit this place or its sister restaurant in Annandale, VA.

Before that, I really liked this place because it tasted good and the food was prepared with great care. I went there with a friend a few days ago and I was really disappointed. In short, the food was really crappy, and I could see it was a shallow marketing tactic to only increase sales. I guess the person in charge of cooking in the kitchen has changed. I ordered the kimchi jjigae and it was delicious, however I was with friend's and they were not happy with their order. The service was terrible. My friends aren't familiar with Korean food and asked the staff for recommendations, the staff were very standoff ish, gave room temperature water, did not check on us, could clearly see my friends were happy not with their order and did nothing to fix the situation. When we asked for to-go boxes, they weren't going to give us to-go boxes to pack the side dishes. SO when it came time to tip, I tipped for my soup personally because yes, it was good but my friends genuinely felt the service didn't deserve a tip so they didn't give one. The server brought the receipt back and caught an attitude with them and said "it's not my fault you dont didn't like the food". After never making an attempt to check to even see if they were satisfied with their order once!. Not sure what's going on with the service there.

This is where a Korean family would go on a weeknight if they were busy, knowing they would get home style meals at a reasonable price. This is not a birthday/date/prom type Asian place so don't expect glamorous interior, but you will get family style stews and entrees with familiar ban chans and super friendly Korean ladies who just love to feed people. Food again, is homestyle, not fine dining and the prices are right. I'd go back for casual Korean supper anytime. There were 2 of us and we ordered the BOSAM PLATTER, KIMCHI STEW, HAMUL JEON. These are all shareables and the stew and bosom was for a family of 4. They kindly packed up all the leftovers but eat your banchans, they do not pack those. :)

All the food I ordered today was too salty. The meat of Jeyuk-bokkeum was too thick and chewy. Danji is no more as the very popular To Sok Jib in Annandale has taken over the space previously occupied by Danji. The Annandale TSJ is a hole in the wall with about 8 tables and a line out the door. Since they acquired this location around July of 2018, a similar buzz has made its way to Centreville. The menu cover says 'Danji', but the inside of the menu is clearly the same as TSJ. As for the food, it's some of the most authentic Korean food you will find. This may turn off some, as the pungent smells will hit you when you walk in the door. We ordered the army stew (budaejiggae) and yellow croaker (jogae gui). Army stew was full of sausage, pork, and kimchee. One order can feed 3-4 people. I ordered the croaker for my two boys, and they loved it! The skin is crispy and the filet inside is soft and flaky. Be careful of the small bones, though. Service isn't great, but that's to be expected at many traditional Korean restaurants. Who cares? The food is good. Our family of four ate here with friends who frequent the Annandale location and they reported that the food was the same quality. Here you just have more space (but still a line to be seated).

Restaurant isnt easily noticable as a Korean restaurant unless you know what your looking for so not surprised. Even the sign says Asian bistro but it's 100% Korean food. Friendly service and staff that speaks English. Fried fish + soup is very popular so it will also most likely smell like fish in the restaurant. I like the chunggookjang 청국장 stinkier daenjang jigae. The kong biji 콩비지 (grounded up soybean's with kimchi) is also quite popular but has no meat and almost too finely ground. Overall recommend this place.
