The definition of comfort food! Took the masala chai, moghlai porotha <3 and the malai kebab! The kebab came with naan! Would try out some other main course dishes when I visit again (def would)! Their keema paratha is also commendanble! But I gotta admit, this place has long service times (since I guess this is family-run and does not have official servers), but people are warm here. Just a heads up, that's all. PS: hearing staff speak bangla here, my native tongue, is an added bonus! Feels comforting in a different way altogether! :)

Worst food ever!! I ordered chicken karahi and it came with raw cut tomatoes and green pepper in the sauce. The chicken was not fully cooked as well! Dog food at best.

We came to dine in and order some food but waitress told us that they didn’t have anything we ordered in stock, so then what is the point of even operating a food business if you don’t have anything to sell. Also place looked very depressing and dark it needs some type of remodel and more light. The location needs a lot of work, it looks like the owner does not even want to invest into his own business.

Worst. Don’t waste your money . But Bangladeshis I would recommend you to visit once and meet the owner to get a feel of bangali paknami 😆,only if you missing that. Meet the owner once and ask him what about Dhaka university 🤣🤣🤣. Ask him we heard you are from Dhaka university .. and if so then what about it ? “ 🤣🤣. Food is fourth class … bangladesher fokinni marka low class elakar bosti type khabar … nothinggggggg is good …. Don’t go but go once if you are from Bangladesh just to see the owner .

Awesome Bangladeshi Restaurant in Boston,USA. On the way to return to Canada, we went there to have lunch. We ordered Kachi Biriyani and Polao Roast. The food was fresh and tasty, their behaviour was so welcoming. Highly recommended! Best of luck. :)

Best place ever ! Butter chicken is number 1 for me but I LOVE EVERYTHING!!

Edit(2024): I am downgrading my previous review. I have been going to this restaurant occasionally since 2015. Over the years, it has become bad to worse in terms of quality. Few days ago, I ordered food from them via ubereats. The rice they sent was stale and odor was coming out of it. I threw the food in trash. I feel ashamed that a restaurant representing my country provides such a poor quality and stale food. Simply shut down the restaurant. The quality is decent and I would recommend this place.

Finally found a Bangladeshi restaurant in Boston. Not just that, they actually have really good food there. They also have Indian and Pakistani food there, but I've never tried them yet. I can talk ab the Bangladeshi food there and it's freaking awesome!!!!! I wish they had more varieties of BHORTA's though. But overall it's fantastic. Bonus point for having a parking lot in that busy area!!!!! LOVE IT

Went for the buffet. Big sign out front "LUNCH BUFFET 11:30 - 3:00" Employee said they haven't had the buffet in a year. Take down the sign.

I Traveled 65 miles to go to this restaurant I called before hand and asked if they had beef Haleem the woman who answered told me they have so I drove all the way there and when I got to the restaurant and went in keep in mind I was very hungry and had a toddler with me and my husband and the woman who worked there told me it would be a hour to hour and a half wait . While waiting we were looking at the menu and we had no clue what to get the woman kept telling us it would be a long wait for our food and she kept saying oh we can cancel the food if you want and when the time came we ordered haleem and goat biryani the food was not what we expected it was poor quality and small portion the haleem was daal with a peice of goat in side and the biryani was very small and we asked for garlic naan and they brought us our naan at the very end we had nothing to eat it with the food was horrible and the service was slow terrible and I would never go there again

Its a Bangladeshi restaurant. Their combo platter is better. Biryani is also good. Nice service. Kheer you can try. But the best kheer in boston is Darber. Most importantly, they have off street parking.

I don't know what's wrong with this restaurant. They have stopped serving the buffet more than a year ago. However they haven't removed their buffet banner yet.

The food was top-notch, and the owner was extremely cordial! But getting cold behavior while enquiring about food items over the phone was disappointing.

Beef bhuna was good, Nan was good, biryani was good. Fish curry not so much. Fish was over-fried and therefore hard.

I orders lamb. 7 of 9 pieces of meat was pure bone. Dry rice from previous day. Never ever!

Our go to place in Boston area. Halal food. Lunch Buffet is convenient. They have Kacchi Biriyani, a Bangladeshi speciality, we rarely found anywhere else.

Chicken samosa- not good Vegetable chop - very good Shami kabab- bad Good service, nice and clean atmosphere but food was not as good as expected.

They have a giant "buffet" sign on the front of the building and then when you go in and they say they haven't had the buffet since pre-covid.

A group of us 8 adults and 2 kids visited this restaurant after touring Boston. They have ample space in the restaurant to accommodate this large group and their own parking space at the back of the restaurant. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helped us make an informed decision about what to order, especially since we one person in our group was vegan. I liked how their futchka (pani puri) had a restaurant made flavor rather than a store bought flavor that usually these kinds of restaurants have. We had daal, bhunna gosht, chicken karahi, butter chicken, seekh kabab, and bihari kabab. fried chicken wings and chicken soup. The food was really good but not wow. I liked how they were more not overly spicy and wish the portions were more. The Naan was freshly made and very soft and tasty.

The food was good, but the bathroom was dirty and couldn't change the baby's diaper. The server was not professional. The worst part, they don't even have cold soda and serve me a can of warm coke

The shrimp tikka masala and garlic bread were both tasty.

I ordered goat kacchi biryani for takeout, but what we received was not Kacchi biryani at all. They mixed goat kabab with uncooked basmati rice!!! The rice was 50% cooked!! I would not recommend this to anyone.

I went there for the iftar dinner. Nice little combo platter. When it gets too spicy, you can just bite on the sweets that are included. I like that they have plenty of parking spots. Their haleem didn't taste like the haleem I was looking for. But then, the haleem I want is perhaps only found in Hyderabad, India.

Great Kababs! The naan was fabulous. Our server was pleasant and took good care of us.

Cant believe we were the only people here when we came for dinner! Fast service and large potions for a good price. The cheese naan and lamb were standouts!

Went here today for the "lunch buffet." Why? Well, b/c there are 3 signs on the building, facing each direction, stating "DAILY LUNCH BUFFET 11:30-3" & also, their website states "DAILY LUNCH BUFFET $12.99". So I enter and ask for the buffet at noon, to which I am told "No buffet." No explanation, apology. I ask why there is a sign? They say, "No buffet! Done!" and so I leave. Never to return. I imagine they are about to close down.

Great home cooked Indian food. Would highly recommend. Amazing service, too. Not the fanciest food, but good prices!

This is the best place for tasty and healthy food seekers. The freshest ingredients! Creative and delicious food! And the staff is delightful, attentive and engaging. Try Tandoori Shrimp, Beef Bhuna, Mango Chutney, Raita, Garlic Naan, Saag Paneer, Aloo Gobi and many more dishes. It really is an amazing experience!

We order quite frequently from here, and enjoy the goat biryanis, goat curry, parathas, chicken soup, Kheer and other delicious dishes.

It was our first time here and after the experience, for sure our last time. we went there expecting to get good quality or at least decent quality halal food, but when the food arrived, the meat was undercooked meaning we couldn’t even eat it. when we told the owner about the food, he requested we take another item instead of giving us a refund. overall a horrible experience, never going back there again.

The fish curry was mild in flavor. They added new menu items and will try them again.

The incident happened to us was that we ordered our causal meal like appetizers and the drinks and the entrée nothing special by the name of the restaurant we were expecting south Asian cuisine but I believe Nepalis have slightly different flavors and the cooking style …. We ordered golgapas/pani puri/ I don’t know what was written in Nepali we did not get it but it said pani puri too ….. so the Gol gappas arrived and we were expecting pani too like some kind of sour liquid but after few seconds we realized May be Napoli eat gol gappas/pani puris without pani the sour liquid lol 😂😂😂 so we had to eat that without it lol it wasn’t bad the taste was good no doubt we liked it but it should be better with the liquid …. The entree was good not bad but it’s a NEPALI cuisine not specifically Pakistani

Seriously? Why this restaurant is constantly EMPTY??? do not get it. I was there last night and had an amazing meal full of flavors and character! The shrimps biryani was incredibly delicious mild but with layers of different aroma, my husband had the goat curry to die for melted in our mouth along with the garlic bread that also feasted so good and different from the usually…. As for the appetizer was the cauliflower soaked in this savory sauce that made me devoured in a minute like I never ate before. God knows how much I have dined all my life at amazing restaurants but this new chef they have is genius in what he does. He also wait on table when he has 2. Do not go there if you don’t want to wait for your diner prepared from scratch….. this place always got me in me but last night was a different story. Don’t take for granted your neighborhood restaurant and think it will Always be there! Tomorrow is another.

Bangladeshi restaurant in a walking distance from Harvard, MIT or Tufts university. Food quality good. During summer it was difficult to wait longer at this place without air condition.

Their rohu bhuna is top notch! However, their cooking isnt consistent. Went back the next day ordered same item, they served something different. Them i had to show the photo from previous night then they changed the food. Still miss their rohu bhuna!

With this post I am going to share an item that I got as a took asking you to guess what was it... P. S this place is highly overpriced to the quality and quantity of food provided. So let the guesses come-in. Remember this is a full order and this is what was served (minus one square that I ate before commemorating this amazing dish).

Really good Bangladeshi restaurant in Cambridge,Boston! We ordered the Daal Gost(Goat) and Lamb Jhalfrizi. Really got a taste of authentic Bangladeshi cuisine. The staff, including the chefs, were very friendly.

Best biriyani and kebabs in town! Don’t understand how they got such low ratings! Tried lamb kebabs, chicken kebab, fish curry, and lamb biriyani! All dishes were excellent! Service was great! Free parking right behind the restaurant!

Went to Boston just for one day and was looking for a Bangladeshi restaurant. Fish, mix vegetables and chicken tikka masala were awesome. The service was just okay. Overall food quality is good.

This place Darules! I've been passing by for years and finally stopped in for lunch. I tried the lamb, chapli, and bihari kebabs and I each one was fantastic with unique and prominent spice blends. They all came with fresh naan that was perfectly crispy on the bottom and tender through the crumb. The raita is also the perfect consistency and pleasantly tangy. The food is superb. Do yourself a favor and try this underrated gem of a restaurant.

Ordered their kacchi biriyani and to my surprise it was actually delicious. 9/10 recommend.

Taste of Karahi Was good but Small portions for their high prices Bryani was very tiny portion and was not fresh and full with bones no meat.

Great place for West Bengal and Bangladeshi foods, and of course good for other south Asian foods. A bit expensive. Jachchi Biryani, Mixed Vegetable, Milt Tea and Naan are my best picks here.

Staff are nice and friendly the chef came out to greet us and we got to meet the owner all very good people 10/10 food and 10/10 restaurant the food was amazing!!!!

Good place to have Bengali food in the Boston neighborhood. We had the ilish bhuna which was quite good. The malai kabab and kacchi biriyani are highly recommended.

Biriyani done perfectly..Every order!! My one stop shop for mouth watering chicken/Mutton biriyani..Love it so much.But just biriyani..nothing else.

Super over priced for moderate food

Everything I have ordered from this place in the last 6 months was perfect. Although I have never been to their lunch buffet, the dinner meals I ordered were delicious and addictive. Everything was fresh, hot, and exactly what I wanted. I try to mix up what I order every time now for the sake of adventure, and every time I am satisfied. Please check this place out, definitely worth it!

Finding Pakistani specialties isn't easy but they had what we were looking for and it was delicious: Chapli Kabab. Not a kabab on a skewer, Chapli kabab is a patty, similar to a hamburger, crispy on the outside. They can have tomato, onion, chili, and other ingredients along with the minced meat. Our beef chapli was pretty spicy, but not overly so. You're given excellent pita bread to grab it with, and be sure to have plenty of lime to squeeze on the burger. For a desert we got kheer, a rice pudding with generous natural vanilla flavor.

The food at Darul Al kabab is excellent. The dishes are well seasoned and beautifully presented. I really enjoy this restaurant.

A great Bangladeshi Restaurant with uniquely delicious eth I food to eat.

Ordered for the first time with scepticism during the lockdown due to the other mixed or bad reviews. But I was really impressed how tasty the food was. Ordered the goat biryani and fish curry combo. Both were terrific in my opinion. The servings were large too. Coz I am familiar with east Indian cuisine and Bangladeshi food is similar to that. The spice levels are high but food was bursting with flavor. I have never dined in here but will definitely do takeouts when I make the trip down gluttony once in a while.

I love the meat at this place. This place is never filled up, you will find a place when ever you walk in.

I do not find the buffet good enough. Food not tasty and Desserts were not of good quality. Their mutton biryani is very good though but is not in the buffet. Service is very poor. Had to look for and call waiters for anything we needed. I definitely will never go back for any buffet there !

We're here for their $12.99 lunch buffet. Nothing special; the chicken tika massala is very good. No samosas, no lamb dish. But they heated up our nan bread, which was perfect with the chicken tika.

Authentic Bengali food. They don't water down the spice, my Bengali girlfriend and I love the place. Lunch buffet guarantees you won't have to make any hard choices about what to order.

Darul kabab was fine but there was nothing that particularly stood out. The vegetable and chicken samosas were good, I particularly liked the flaky crust on the samosas. The lamb kebab was also quite good, but the lamb korma was not my favorite. I'm not a foodie, but it tasted a little bit mushroom me to me which I've never encountered before in a korma. The service was great but the place was completely empty when we were there at 6 p.m. on a Friday.

I was in Boston on work and I decided to check this place out. I ordered a fish curry combo. For about 21$,this gave me a machher jhol (fish curry gravy), a musuri daal(lentil soup), a aaloo bhuna(mashed potatoes) and a plate of rice. The amount of food was easily enough for two adults. The quality of the food was excellent. The folks at the restaurant were very nice and friendly and threw in a begun bharta (eggplant mashed curry) for free,when they heard i was from out of town and had followed the internet to their door. I recommend this place strongly to all Bangalis without reservations. I also recommend this place in general with the caveat that Bangladeshi cooks tend to be very enthusiastic about the use of chillies. Place your order accordingly.
