Expensive, Small Portions and Rude Service. Food had mixed reviews; I thought the food was good, some family members didn't like it. The portions are pretty small and served ala cart, so plan to order more if doing family style. Our server was okay, not the friendliest but got the job done. The thing that soured our meal and I can guarantee, prevent us all from ever returning is how my mother-in-law was treated when she acidentally spilled her soda. We asked our server for a towel. She didn't rush to get one, she and another woman who is the owner observed the mess and talked to each other discussing I don't know what. We asked for a towel again, and my husband cleaned it up. Meanwhile, the other woman (owner) stood at the table SCOWLING at my poor MIL who was so appologetic and embarrased. She told the woman she was sorry but the lady cold faced glared at her not saying a word the entire time we cleaned up. It was so awkward and rude. We were there to celebrate a special occasion and left feeling put out after watching our mother/grandmother get treated horribly.

We have been coming to David’s Kitchen off and on for about 20 years. We have never been disappointed. The food and service is always great. The pot stickers and the sauce are delicious!

A quiet week night dinner, service was attentive and food was yummy. I had the Dragon and Phoenix. You might expect the yin and yang of something like half sweet General Tso's Chicken and half spicy Veggies and Shrimp. Turns out it depends on the place. David's Kitchen does this up with chicken, shrimp and veggies stir fried in tasty white sauce. Dinner portion is enough for two, but I ate it all myself. Egg Drop soup also good. Go and enjoy.

We came here because it was open late. All of the food we had was great in my opinion. We got the pan fried noodles with chicken, bbq pork fried rice, and egg rolls. The veggie egg rolls were the stand out for me. So crispy and flavorful, though a bit expensive for the quantity, they were scrumptious. The main dishes we had were a great portion. 3 people shared our meal and we still have leftovers. I’ll definitely be back.

I love this place! Really good food! I could make a meal of just the ppt stickers. Good quality, fresh ingredients. The sauces for each dish are perfect. Oh and the fried rice is amazing! The owner and servers are so nice.

Food is SO good. It is exactly how you would expect Chinese Food to taste. The Sweet and Sour Pork is my personal favorite item. Sesame chicken is delicious, and the Ham Fried Rice is excellent! Got Take-Out and the food was still hot when we finally arrived home. Best Chinese Food hands down.

Way to pricey. Food was okay. Portions are pretty small for what you pay. Service was very weird. Felt uncomfortable the whole time. I'll go to ABC for now on. But it's always good to try places once.

Ordered 3 to-go entrees and received 1 rice. When I called they told me that the more entrees you order the less rice they give you. 1 order = 16 oz 2= 24 oz and 3 orders =32oz. No where in the description do they say this so you can at least order more rice. Basically they omitted an entire 16oz of rice for my order without giving me a discount at the end for the food they were not providing. Very dishonest and would not do that if they were serving to your face in the restaurant r.

Local Chinese favorite. Basically an institution. Lettuce Wraps and Dumplings are good, fried rice is amazing. Sesame chicken, orange chicken and lemon chicken all fantastic.

David's kitchen has a nice, and cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately that's where the compliments end. There's very little to praise about the establishment. Although the food isn't the worst in the area, it certainly is the most over priced for what you receive. Over $100 to feed 4 people who were only barely able to be considered full. Every item on the menu that uses oil reeked and tasted of disgustingly old oil. The service was sub par and the servers acted as if we were burdens rather than paying customers. I would highly encourage you to find someplace else to eat.

Great Chinese restauraunt. Good food. Great price. Fast service.

The menu is outdated and seriously lacking. There are two options, lunch specials or if you get there too late for that, la carte. When asked why the entrees don't come with the standard soup, fried rice, etc. We were told that it is family style dining and all à la carte so everything would have to be ordered separately. The food itself was just okay at best about the equivalent of what you would find at a buffet. The The lack of lighting in the restaurant is to mask how many tables are in that small space. Walking in, the theme is Oriental, but it has a worn out 1980's feel. If you're in the neighborhood already it's an okay place to stop, but definitely not worth the drive to try it out.

Good here was great, prices were kindof steep compared to other Chinese restaurants nearby but fair enough that I'll still go here occasionally

The server was a friendly chap, but that's about it.

Empty restaurant with a barely friendly smile from the hostess. We had combo for two. It was the worst Chinese food we have ever eaten. Spring rolls were luke warm. The rest of the meal was slightly warmer. Sezchaun chicken was overly sweet with random bits of chicken. The ham fried rice was greasy. The pork balls were ok but sauce was overwhelmingly sweet. The only positive was the young man who served us.

Me and my family have been loyal customers for over 10 years. The most consistent restaurant I will ever go to. The entire staff treats us like family and the food is delicious. I will always be a loyal David’s Kitchen customer. The potstickers are unbelievable.

We decided to try David’s Kitchen after so many recommendations from friends, and the food did not disappoint. The potstickers were as good as we were told, and the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Cashew Chicken were delectable, although there wasn’t very much chicken in the Cashew Chicken dish. The service wasn’t too great, and we had to sit for nearly 15 minutes with empty plates to get our check, and never got refills on our drinks. UPDATE 2023: We ate at David’s Kitchen again on a Saturday evening right when they opened, and unlike the previous visit, the service was fantastic. The food was wonderful as always, especially the potstickers.

This is a family run business. They have excellent food and service. They are efficient and the place is very clean. Excellent pot stickers. Please patronize this place so we can continue to enjoy their fantastic service.

The food is sooo overpriced and has barely ANY flavor. We were so disappointed in our dinner and definitely won’t be trying again. If the food was worth the price we wouldn’t have minded, but it was so under flavored.

I've been coming here for over 12 years, and the food never disappoints! Consistency, ambiance, and flavors truly define this exceptional mom-and-pop spot. Huge kudos to the fantastic Davis Kitchen team! Today, I indulged in the pan-seared wontons and the wonton soup deluxe—both were phenomenal! I adore how the staff customizes your dipping sauce right at the table. It's perfection!

My husband and I have been coming here together for 18 years. He and his family has been going for almost 40 years. To say it is a family favorite is an understatement! The service is fast and friendly and the food is fresh and DELICIOUS! The BEST potsticker I have ever had anywhere and the generals chicken with steamed rice is to die for! We loved David and have enjoyed seeing his son Henry take the reins and carry his on his dad's legacy. I know David is so proud!

I want to emphasize the food here is good. However, you should get the take out--my party was treated very rudely. This may be some of the rudest service I've ever received. I won't go into specifics about how my party was treated rudely, but this is one of the first reviews I've ever written out of anger at how rudely I was treated. I was introduced to this super restaurant. With the name"David's Kitchen," you might just drive by not knowing this is the best Chinese food restaurant period anywhere. Even China itself. I could tell all the food served to me was literally prepared right before it was set before me. The food was so fresh. Texture and flavor of everything was perfect. The server helped me when I told her I didn't like plain rice. I told her when I eat plain rice, it has no flavor. She made suggestions to help my rice taste great. Then made sure that happened. By the way, the rice was light and fluffy. I've been to Chinese restaurants where the "scoop" of plain rice on my plate was in a ball because the rice was all stuck together. Rice shouldn't come in the form of a "baseball." David's Kitchen served their rice in a bowl. Perfect. This restaurant is like so many in the Salt Lake area. It's just is special because the owner and all employees care to make it that way. There are so many things that are right about this restaurant discovery. Please know I am 62 years old. Trust me. I've had plenty of time and experience to try several, I mean lots of Chinese restaurants around the country. This one by far is the best. People, treat yourself to a visit at "David's Kitchen." Stay away from those restaurants that just serve heated food from their freezer. I really can't say. But, I bet there's a high chance "David's Kitchen" probably doesn't even have a food freezer. It would be nice to have half and half entree options at this restaurant, with most Chinese places you get to taste a few options. The other reviews made me have high expectations, but the food is mediocre at worst and flavorless at best. Potstickers are 3/10, and that’s being generous. I didn’t save/want my greasy leftovers, and I wouldn’t choose to eat here again.

We LOVE David’s Kitchen! We come here as a family every year on Christmas Eve. We usually order tons of potstickers, and a variety of entrees to share. Everything is wonderful, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.

We were seated, ordered, and waited 15 minutes for our food to come. This was ok, when our food came one of the ladies put our bill on the table along with the food, this was ok. But not even 5 minutes after we got our food she brings over the card machine and said (Paid Now!) Goodbye and walked away, We paid and left, it was embarrassing. We did not eat the food we just got up and left. She was so Rude! we gave her $34 so she could treat us rudely. We went to a different restaurant. I didn’t believe everyone when they said David’s Kitchen has the best pot stickers!! BUT THEY WERE RIGHT! I have never had pot stickers as good as these!! There was not enough I could’ve eaten a whole pan-full! Absolutely unreal! I also got the sesame chicken and was very impressed! Did not get forks or chopsticks to eat my food like an animal in my hotel room is my fingers it was cold was not ordered to how I wanted it sorry better luck next time

The green beans with beef are amazing! The beef is velvety and the brown sauce is rich and delicious. Great fried rice too, very flavorful. Make sure to get a side of dumplings and dip them in the chili oil!

Ordered the Lo Mien lunch combo which for what it costs, could’ve been better portioned and tasted better. Overall not a bad restaurant. Clean, courteous and professional but not a “Big Bang” for your bucks! Willing to try again after lunch hours to see what that’s like.
