First, they moved the location so the address on google is wrong. I had to dig through the reviews to find the new location. Second, they were closed. Save your time!

Daygos moved over to the little food truck court by Blue Owl. In pursuit of a Cali burrito craving, I tracked them down and I'm so happy I did. They make the best burritos in town. Hands down. When you see how big the burritos are, not to mention how delicious, you realize it's worth the price.

JFC the california burrito is insane! Would highly recommend. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their other stuff.

I hate when businesses do not respect their operating hours schedules. It makes me not want to take the business seriously. Also, it is the WORST impression for first-time hungry customer. We heard great things but will not be coming back until the business takes itself seriously.

We drove over an hour to try this place out. It did not disappoint. The Cali burrito was on point! Wife says…”these are the best nachos I’ve ever eaten!” Will definitely be back!

yummy! the taquitos were covered in cheese yet still crunchy, and the burritos are huge, i highly recommend. the salsa is also delicious:)

the burritos here are legit and have yet to see anyone execute this style in Austin besides daygos Would recommend and can eat food at dark horse so it’s a good spot to eat and chill.

My guy here puts together a solid California burrito and the Daygo fries were on point! I will say this has been the best California style burrito in Texas thus far as we’ve tried many from San Antonio all the way up to Austin. Daygos Taco Shop for the win!

Was blown away by the flavor and quality of their dishes. The carne asada in the burrito mixed with fries were tender and juicy, with a perfect balance of spices and a crispy texture. The tortilla was warm and fresh, and the salsa on the side gave it a nice kick. The service was also top-notch, with friendly staff who were happy to answer questions and make recommendations.

If you’re truly from Cali then you’ll 100% love EVERYTHING off the menu. The meat is cooked to perfection, seasoned properly, and VERY flavorful. The combinations of everything put together will have you going crazy on how it’s that good. The burrito made me have to pull over and savor it. Must try EVERY TIME!!

Amazing food. Mexican and Southern California transplant I can vouch this is legit. I wish I would have taken pics before this review but I ordered the chicken taquitos (big serving). They were amazing and I didn’t ask for spicy salsa but if that was an option they would be even better. I also ordered the CA burrito I took one bite cuz I was already full from the taquitos but equally as good. Definitely coming back.

Amazing food and service!! We’ve had at least 1 of everything on the menu and can’t pick a favorite (but if we have to, go with the daygo fries…or the massive burrito!). I highly recommend you check them out!

Best taste of San Diego style Mexican food outside of San Diego! Don’t waste your time anywhere else. This is where it’s at!

Look, you have a choice here. You can stay at this location or go across the street to the other taco stand. Here's the deal... This place has no seating. The tacos are expensive. They're only, okay. Compare this to across the street... Those are cheaper, much more authentic, comes with limes, wrapped in tinfoil, have seating, and overall a much more legitimate experience. I was frankly disappointed here. There was no one here when I ordered and it took 15 mins.

Great location with even better food. We got the burrito and some street tacos. The sauces were authentic and delicious with the plates of food. Definitely will be back!

Just like the rolled tacos I ate in San Diego. The rolled tacos tasted great, fried perfectly and plenty of guac and cheese! Worth the drive and wait at their trailer. Also, has the California burrito. Hope you are hungry 🤤

I opened a hefty burrito to a bunch of fries. After taking them off i found no pico. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time since I’m from SD. It was so spicy i couldn’t eat it. 3 bites it was in the trash. But I’m sure some might love the spice. I was blown away by the price but laughed it off that it might truly reflect SD, price and all. I feel like i paid 20$ for a bunch of freezer fries. Well, i tried and i won’t be back. 2 stars instead of 1 because I’m not wasting any energy going back and forth to resolve this and who knows maybe they would maybe they wouldn’t.

You out here doing God’s work. The rolled tacos were perfect and I love the fries taste just like back home.

You’ll never have to visit cali to have authentic San Diego street tacos. The California burrito is a game changer. 1 If I could rate 10 stars, I would just for the service alone! Great vibes in the area & outstanding food.

Since moving to Austin from SD, I've been craving non-TexMex Mexican food and Daygos did not disappoint. Definitely going to become a staple for me. Dre, the owner, is super personable and good people.

Eating the Quesadeyaya as I write this review. It simply couldnt wait! I am very impressed with the quality of the food. Bought this meal through our lunchdrop system and usually the food is a bit cold but not this quesadilla. The torilla has a homemade taste to it, the meat is nice and tender and both green and orange salas were so tasty. I cannot wait to take my partner here and try the flautas and California burrito.

Came on a Saturday and worker Dre told us that they are closed for an event and to place an order for the next day to pick up. Was disappointed but just waited for the next day to try the food. On Sunday, we arrived back at the truck and the they were closed once again. If we would have placed an order, we would have been out of money. VERY unprofessional and a big let down.

After paying these high prices, you get just one napkin to go along with your food, which will be on the messy side. Just a cheap look, gives you bad vibes. The food was pretty good, not worth the price.

Daygos is AMAZING 🤩 Had the California Burrito and I’m blown away. I told my husband I was even that hungry, but ate half his burrito. The spices are perfect, it’s a great amount of food- burrito was HUGE! Could have drank the green salsa by the gallon. Can’t wait to come back!

I got a California burrito from here and the thing was both massive and probably the best one I’ve had in years. Growing up in San Diego I got spoiled with good Mexican food and this place is every bit as good as the places I used to go growing up and most importantly he gets the meat right. If you’re in south Austin this is the place to stop no question about it

Quesadilla was pretty burnt and fairly bland. Didn’t even come with salsa, guacamole or any crema. San Diego got nothing on south Texas

Ordered the chicken burrito. Size was small, the burrito was very dry and flavor was non existent. The only saving grace were the salsas, which were both pretty tasty. Overall, very expensive for what it is. Would not order again.

How is anyone charging $16.00 before tax for three STREET tacos I don’t know any ma and pa Mexican / Latin restaurant that would dare go so high, and it justifies people getting stuff like Velvet Taco and Torchy’s which kills smaller more fair priced businesses. Also this is a prime example of why people hate the Austin small food business and food carts because unless you’re living in downtown making enough income unlike the other 95% of us, I would go to chipotle or free birds every time for a burrito at half the cost, or support another food truck that DOESNT CHARGE $16 FOR MINI STREET TACOS. Quality is there but I’ve been to places in New York with actual Michelin star chefs that don’t charge this for Baos or other hand food. Am I crazy to think this is the most blatant overcharge for three tiny tortillas and a handful of protein I’ve ever seen?

This food truck was so delicious! We had the carne asana fries and chicken taquitos. The food and service was incredible! The carne asana was phenomenal! Also, I had a chance to spend time with the owner and his passion for his business is infectious! For me, a good taco/burrito spot starts with amazing sauces/salsa and they definitely have that! Anyways, I could ramble on forever. Cone get some large portions of amazingly good food at Daygos!

A burrito with fries? Are you kidding? Worth every penny and I’d do it all over again. My wife originally got one for us to share and I ate it all, so she had to buy another. Honestly, I have no regrets. The guys were incredibly helpful & super nice. Can’t wait to come back!

I’ve never had a California burrito before so I didn’t know what to expect but it was so good! So much unexpected flavor. We were able to wait in our car and have the food brought out to us. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try!
