Absolutely amazing! Dayville has only a few citizens and yet one of the premier restaurants in OREGON! We had some amazing Breakfasts and incredible dinners! Food is made by a honest to goodness CHEF! Should your travels take you anywhere NEAR Dayville do not miss this place!!

We had a wonderful dinner there, and of course we had pie for dessert. We returned the next morning for breakfast and order two boxed lunches to go. I wished we lived closer.

Got stuck in Dayville for a little bit, and got hungry. I ordered the Baja burger to go. The servers and cooks were quick and courteous, and the food was pretty tasty! Next time I'm here, I will spend some time to enjoy this lovely eatery.

This hidden gem in the middle of nowhere is a true delight in every way. The service is fantastic and sincerely accommodating. The menu has surprising depth and variety to it and everything was delicious. The star of the show is of course the pie selection! Highly recommend this spot.

A splendid morning feast amidst the vast unknown. The cost was but a trifle, the cuisine divine, and the ambiance and hospitality unparalleled. May all dining establishments aspire to emulate such magnificence. Verily, a hidden treasure indeed.

We had a wonderful lunch here. I had the cobb salad which was good and my husband had the Gorge Burger and was very pleased with it. The hand-cut fries were excellent. The service was excellent. We then purchased two slices of pie for later and OMG! I got the French Apple and my husband got the German Chocolate and they were excellent! On our way out of town the next day, we got two more slices, marion berry and cherry. I am a pie snob and the crusts were excellent. If you are ever in the area, you have to stop and get pie!

I was lucky enough to stop at the Dayville Cafe twice during a recent trip to eastern Oregon. So very impressed! Terrific food, amazing pies (we had cherry, marionberry and coconut cream. Every one a gem.) Add an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff and, well, you have a great restaurant experience.

Much more than you'd expect from a small town cafe.

Cafe was closed this Saturday. There was a note on the door explaining why but we drove on to the only other place in town that served breakfast. We were told the owners wanted a break before the busy season but evidently didn't bother to warn anyone else ahead of time.

If you're anywhere nearby before the late afternoon, stop here. Really charming diner esque vibe with very friendly service. Sierra was the best. Steak and eggs kept me full til dinnertime, and they have great pie from what I can tell. Coffee was excellent and hot, you won't be disappointed.

Great food and great service and reasonable prices. I had the North Side Sandwich and it was a really good combination of flavors, sourdough bread that was perfectly toasted with scrambled eggs, grilled chicken, grilled peppers, chipotle mayo, cilantro, pepper jack cheese, avocado. There is a huge variety of fresh baked pies daily. We got a couple pieces to go. Yum. I would recommend anything on the menu here and it will be a definite stopping place on our next time through.

What a great place! Warm welcome/excellent service. The food was just excellent and obviously homemade. French toast and biscuits are a must. Wish I had tried the pie as I am sure the crust is excellent as well. It is a little out of the way, but well worth the trip!

Stopped off here for lunch after visiting the painted hills, and we were not disappointed! We had their Hawaiian burger, and it was so delicious. Then, we had a slice of their homemade strawberry rhubarb pie. We highly recommend.

Food was terrific, generous portions, cute country decor. We weren't quite ready to order so asked for a few minutes, and the staff never came back to check on us. Had to wave at her twice to get her to come over. She was nice though.

Lad upfront who was our waiter gave us the best service we’ve had during our Oregon trip. He was on the ball, very excited to try our pies off the extensive lists of flavours. Meal was great and good big portion. Very fair price as well.

We had lunch here while on a camping trip in the area. My husband had a fish basket with slaw and fries while I had the soup+salad menu and we both had a slice of pie. And oh my... It was all excellent, but the pies were just out of this world. We saw a lot of locals leaving with boxed up pies so they must be the cafe's specialty. And with good reason. Absolutely recommended!

On a road trip across Oregon I stopped in for lunch. The wait staff was right on top of things. I ordered and had my food out amazingly fast. I ordered the Fossil Burger, and it was AWESOME! Huge and grilled perfectly. The side order of fries was enough for two people. I had a vanilla milkshake to go, and was very satisfied as I continued on my trip.

What a great place for homemade food

We've traveled alot,this was the best breakfast we ate from Oregon to Arizona and back. Large Oval platter plates, I got Ham and eggs they didn't skimp On the ham, and the homemade Biscuit was fluffy and good. My Hubby had chicken fried steak it was huge. We both needed to go boxes. The servers we're very friendly.

Lovely place to stop mid-Oregon! Extensive menu with dedicated chef-owner who offers top quality food. We had a French dip sandwich and fish and chips. Chef hand cuts the fish portions and they are delicious and crisp. The beef was excellent as well. We were absolutely sated so we didn't have room for dessert but the homemade pies are famous so we ordered a peach pie to go. It was boxed and we didn't realize until we reached our destination that they packaged the entire Pyrex pie plate with the pie! What a treat.

We are from Michigan and on an extended vacation. We left Prineville 0R early so we didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel. It was about 52 degrees. We were cold, on our Goldwing motorcycle, so we decided to stop and get some breakfast. I was not expecting the helping size we each received. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, 2 eggs and hash browns. The biscuits were the size of a coffee can lid! The gravy had to be the best we ever had, he gave me a bite! Eggs done perfectly sunny side up, and the hash browns weren’t overdone. I had the 3 egg, ham and cheese scramble. Hash browns and toast. It was all delicious. Coffee was great too! I had quite a few cups to warm up. We ended up taking a to-go box with the leftovers and had them for dinner that night! I highly recommend this little cafe if your traveling thru Dayville, you won’t regret stopping.

Great country Cafe, and the food was far fresher and well made than I expected! Not the greasy spoon that most small town restaurants are. The waitress was really friendly, and the prices were pretty common for the food offered. And it had a great atmosphere, low key country style.

I have been here twice; once just for pie while passing through and a second time for breakfast and pie to go when we stayed in Dayville. Both visits were awesome. The same waitress both times and she is down to earth and exceptional at her job. The decorations are fitting. The food was great. Chicken fried steak was massive, biscuits and gravy was savory and the biscuits were big, fluffy and hand made. The pancakes were typical flap jacks a little on the chewy side, which I prefer. They are known for their pies and when you buy a full one to-go you get to keep the pie tin or glass dish.
