We loved everything about this place. Our server Misty was wonderful and the food was delicious. This truly is a hidden gem.

This place is an absolute gem! The food, the service, the beer selection and the atmosphere were amazing! We went there for lunch and Misty (who was fantastic by the way!) told us there will be live music in the evening so we came back! We had such a great time, we'll definitely visit again!

This place was awesome. If people in your party are reluctant to go in, have Misty come and get them. It has a great family atmosphere, staff is very welcoming, and the food is outstanding. I give it 5 stars.

EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING 👏 we were visiting from Oklahoma and wanted to try some true texas BBQ. Oklahoma is pretty decent when it comes to BBQ so our expectations are alittle high and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the sampler and when i say it was a lot of food for the buck I ain't lying fed 4 adults and 5 kids plus still went home with leftovers. When back in town this will be my only go to. Also the sides are enormous !!!!! Green bean and BBQ beans are wow !!!! The kids loved the Mac and cheese 🧀 and the meat was ...... yummy 😋 sucks I didn't take any pictures. We really dug right in .... wish I had taken atleast one picture. Anyways take my word for it !!! It's worth every dime

Everything has been great, from the food, service, waitstaff, and atmosphere. Our server Alex was very friendly and informative and did amazing taking care of us. The pit master knows what she is doing with the bbq. The brisket is perfectly smoked and tender, and the sides complement the meats perfectly. The atmosphere is top notch with local live music. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area! Thank you Alex and crew!

It's a really nice place with indoor and outdoor seating. They have live music on the weekends and the food is amazing! Very relaxed and laid back.

Exception Hospitality, Exceptional Food and an Awesome Atmosphere. We had the Sample plate for two and everything was cooked perfectly with so much left over for a midnight snack! Misty was incredibly kind and helpful and went above and beyond for us! Felt like we were family. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend Dead End Trading Post for a great night out! I’ve been here several times had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything has been exceptional, from the food to the service to the waitstaff and atmosphere. Misty, Chance and Alex did amazing taking care of me and the pit master princess Susan knows what she is doing with the bbq. The atmosphere is top notch with live music Fridays and Saturdays and they even have a playground for the kids! I highly recommend this place you gotta try it out if you’re in the area!

I love and can cook better BBQ than most of the restaurants in this area, so tired of paying the price for BBQ that most steak restaurants get! This place is a breath of fresh air, the service is wonderful and the barbecue and the sides are exceptional. So glad we found Dead End.

Rob the owner is a standup guy and deserves your business. There’s too many chain restaurants out there over charging for food, when you go to a mom and pop restaurant you are getting exactly what you put in and helping someone who supports the community.

Our server Alex was proactive, friendly, and thoughtful. The owner Robert stopped by our table and clearly cares about his customers and the quality of his restaurant. Unfortunately, the kitchen had stopped making nachos and several of the sides when we stopped by later Sunday evening but both Alex and Robert made up for it by explaining the situation and giving us free banana pudding. We had the 3 meat platter with ribs, brisket, and jalapeño/cheddar sausage with sides of salad and potato salad. Everything tasted fantastic! We will definitely be back when we visit Eagle Mountain Lake again. Even our dog Enzo loved it 😊. Thank you Alex, Robert, and crew!

Saw the sign for this restaurant from the road and gave it a try. Glad I did! Food is great and there was a playground for the kids to play on. Our server Misty was super friendly and very attentive. Would definitely recommend!

Loved this place so much I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend the loaded baked potato with brisket and the brisket queso. Did I mention the brisket?!? Woohoo.. so good I had to take dessert home! Banana pudding, yes please!

We definitely will return. Great place. Food, service and atmosphere. We had Rattlers, brisket queso, and sliders all fantastic. Then we followed it with horseshoes.

The food and music were great! They have the best area for kids and the waitstaff were so kind and helpful! They even took my girls in the back to pick out their own ice cream. I definitely recommend for families!

Just moved here 2 weeks ago from the North Country, and found a hidden GEM!! Food and Atmosphere was great but Misty our server was awesome! Great personality and went the extra mile to make us feel at home, will definitely be coming back again. Beer in a can is a major plus as well!!

I love the vibrancy and simplicity of this joint. The Dead End Trading Lost has and old soul kind of atmosphere. If you want to socialize and have a great time, then this is the place for you. My servers name was Misty and she did a fantastic job at taking care of me with her many tables. And the rest of the staff does just as good. The live music was a fantastic treat to have and listen to. Thanks to the Dead End Trading Post off of Silver Creeks road.

From the waitress, food, friendly ownership, to the laid back atmosphere, it was outstanding! Our friendly waitress, Misty, was very understanding with our four puppies and was an amazing waitress! Recommend all the food but you HAVE TO GET THE BANANA PUDDING 💯 You’ll become a fan on the first bite😍 They have a lovely patio with a stage. Even got to hear CALVAN BELL sing, we had the best afternoon! A great place for live music and the best service!

This is a nice place kinda out by itself. Good food excellent service and to top it all off they had a great live band playing the night we went. They were called The Discords

We had a birthday party on a very busy night and Kandace kept up with us! She was attentive and friendly, and kept our squirt guns filled for toddler fun! Thanks for making a birthday party fun!

Fun location if you're good with an outdoor venue. Food was great, wait staff was very friendly and attentive, and our server Kandace was awesome. There was live music in the open air bldg, but we were to far away to hear it properly.

Misty was an amazing waitress who had to deal with our highschool skibidi toilet nonsense. The food was amazing the pulled pork sandwich was great with a side of Mac and cheese. Kadin got banana pudding he says 9/10 I believe him. Vary nice atmosphere.

We had a big group at this small venue and they did a great job working with us. It is a little overpriced. The people are fantastic, waitresses are very kind and work very hard. As long as you don't go on a night when the dump down the road smells terrible you will enjoy your meal very much

This place was great! The music, atmosphere & Food was on point! We got the sampler that fed 3 grown men with food left over. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Will be back for sure. Can’t wait to try what else they have on their menu. I think we will be making this place one of our regular stops for BBQ.

A great family friendly place and their sampler platter fed our family of 5!

We just picked up some bbq today for lunch and not only were the portions smaller than we received the first time we came (about a week ago), the food is not fresh. The meat was dry and you can tell that it was microwaved and the potato salad was made two days ago (which leaves me to believe that the meat was old as well). We had a really good bbq place that we used to go to, but they went downhill over the years so we were looking for a new and regular bbq place. When we first tried the bbq at this place about a week ago, everything was fresh and delicious, and the portions were bigger. They also did not provide the fixings for one of the baked potatoes that we ordered. Just when we thought we were going to become regulars here, this had to happen...I'm very disappointed. <See picture>

Came here for music left with a huge smile. Food was great, people were great, music by Freddy, Larry and Steve was amazing. Definitely will be coming back, Lindsay was so friendly along with rest of the staff. Bonus it’s dog friendly so we will be bringing our pups next time.

We will be coming back. The food was good. We enjoyed the very laid back vibe and our waitress, Susan, made sure we were well taken care of. The chips and queso are top notch, my daughter loved her kids cheeseburger, my barbecue was good (not great but not bad), and my wife took a bite of the banana pudding and then did not want to share. The wife and I will be coming on a Friday or Saturday night for live music with dinner and again, we will be coming back with the kids.

We have stayed at the RV park for the last month and were able to try this restaurant a few times. Each time the food was excellent and the service as well. Some of our favorites are the burger sliders with brisket, the breakfast Burrito and the burgers. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely return!

Today it is cold and raining the Texas way. Kids (11, 13, 15) wanted bbq. They like small local establishments and enjoy trying new places. First time here. Nice hometown type environment. Staff were all super nice. Food (brisket, chicken, jalapeno cheese sausage, Ceasars salad, potato salad, mac n cheese, slider with bologna) all tasted fresh, well cooked and super enjoyable. Definitely a good time with good staff and great food. Too bad band was rained out, that could have been super cool. Highly recommend!!

The brisket sandwich & mac and cheese was amazing! I also loved the cobbler and banana pudding desert! It’s dog friendly and we brought our buddy. They had a very cool patio with a great aesthetic! Our pup loved the homemade treats they offer! y’all gotta try this place out! It’s a beautiful drive to get to it and they are very friendly and it’s very welcoming! :-)
