As always delicious food. Only one thing that they need to improve on is their nihari meat quality isn’t that great. It’s just fat and hardly any meat. Other than that thaye taste of nihari and there frontier is excellent. So is there grill item is very delicious

My recent visit to Delhi Darbar Kabab House was nothing short of an extraordinary gastronomic adventure that I feel compelled to share. From the moment I stepped inside, I was embraced by an ambience that exudes warmth and an inviting charm, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The culinary journey began with the impeccable service from our server, Abdullah, whose attentiveness and knowledge of the menu added an extra layer of comfort and excitement to the evening. The owner Asif, his recommendations were spot on, guiding us through a plethora of delectable Pakistani dishes that were both a feast for the eyes and the palate. The star of the show, of course, was the food. Each dish was a symphony of flavors, rich in tradition and bursting with authenticity. The chicken biryani transported me straight to the bustling streets of Lahore with its aromatic blend of spices and tender meat. The Bihari boti roll was another highlight, perfectly spiced and grilled to perfection, wrapped in soft naan, and bursting with succulent flavors. Equally commendable was the presence of the owner, whose passion for his heritage and dedication to his craft were evident in every bite. His warm hospitality and genuine enthusiasm for sharing the richness of Pakistani cuisine made the experience all the more enriching.

It’s really inappropriate to deduct tip on own. Its a basic thing that you shouldn’t be asking the customer for tip and disasters part is deducting tip on its own. They deducted $5 on own for tip. Have some basic manners.

Located half a mile away from the busiest segment of West Devon. Food is savory and spicy(Indian spicy not US spicy) . Reasonable price, ok ambience and service.

Visited them and ordered butter chicken ,tandoori chicken, paneer makhni and Naan! Overall the food was just ordinary and Butter chicken was pathetic, and it just didn’t tase like a butter chicken at all ,it was with loads of food colouring and just cream, I politely called the bald person who seems to be managing the place and informed the condition of the food which he agreed and never bothered to make amend of it and didn’t want me to talk more since there were other customers sitting next to our table, finally while settling the check to to my surprise I was still charged for the food that I complaint and not consumed fully , it was unethical ! I’m sure this the first and last time I visited this place and I’m sure I will pass my feed back to my friend circle !

Food taste and quality is good, gave onions on the side specially with daal, but didn't give rice with curry, which is common across Indian restaurants in the USA. We were expecting rice, so didn't order it explicitly, and in the end, couldn't eat dal as a meal after it was delivered. Also, even after mentioning to provide utensils, they didn't provide utensils, most probably forgot, but it ruined the experience further!

We had family over from out of town, went to DD...had a great time there and service was great. We always get to eat great food late at night.

Would not recommend. Ordered a dish based on the recommendation of the server and it was horrible. The meat had such an off taste to it, it was inedible. Upon informing the server, he made no attempt to replace the dish and he didn’t even apologize. Dismal service, bad food, there are plenty of other places on Devon that deserve your money, avoid this place at all costs.

first of all i recommend their rumali roti supersoft.. 2. tandoori chicken that is out of flavour .. 3. palak paneer it was just also not good have no spices ,,no salt ,,no taste.whereas their green chutney is like water that is not green chutney that they served! 4. masala papad is good overall,we were not happy to be there,, not good experience of the food!!

One of the most awful dining experiences I've ever had. We ordered malai kofta, veg makhni, and rumali roti. The veg makhni was an alarming neon red color that looked more like a chemical experiment than food. We were hesitant to try it, and when we did, it had no salt at all. The malai kofta was passable. The rumali roti? It was neither rumali nor roti, and it was uncooked in several places. Even the masala papad was a disaster: bland, with vegetables thrown on top and no masala to be found. The only thing remotely decent was the masala soda. The manager's behavior made the experience even worse. When we pointed out the lack of salt in the vegetable makhni, he arrogantly gestured to the salt on the table and summoned two staff members to "verify" that it was indeed veg makhni. This was not only unprofessional but downright insulting. And to add insult to injury, they still billed us for the inedible dish. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had in the US. Avoid this place at all costs.

You can't go wrong with Brain Masala and Kadhai gosht with rumali roti or paranthaas. They got the most delicious Brain Masala in Chicago and suburbs.

Overall experience was ok. Would definitely go again for rumali Roti. I m not sure about other items. We ordered the following items: Rumali roti (5/5) Matar paneer (2/5- I had specifically asked for this to be mild, but even their mild was super spicy, and I couldn't eat it. As per the person working there, he showed me the bill to prove that he added a note for mild curry, but it was super duper spicy. Dal tadka- (3/5) After eating matar paneer, I barely got any flavor of dal tadka because my mouth was already on fire. After coming home, I heated to have this, but this one also was definitely not mild as I had asked them to make it. Chicken tandoor - the overall flavor was good (3.5/5) Masala papad- (1/5) it was more of an onion papad. Just for name sake & to show color , one or two pieces of tomato and bell peppers are added. But other than that, it was filled with onion only. Plain papad (5/5) - nothing to go wrong with this. Yogurt(5/5)- plain yogurt, nothing to go wrong with this either. Apart from the above listed, they decided side of onion, cucumber, and plain raita. We had ordered plain rice on the side, which never came. After washing our hands, we saw that our table already had a small cup of dessert. Based on the quantity, we assumed that it was for tasting or maybe complimentary. But while we were paying the bill, we realized that it cost $6 dollar for only 2-3 spoons of dudh dulhari. The songs that were playing in the background were good. The staffs were very friendly.

We are from Texas, while are cross the chicago download we found this restaurant, First i have to thank Delhi Barbara uncle for wonderful hospitality he really suggest the best dishes for any difficulty in choosing the selection of food here I have taster chicken korma, catfish combot and panner keema which taste.

Came here for dinner with my cousin. They were hosting a private event in the party room but were happy to welcome us in! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and made us feel right at home. We ordered the aloo samosas, palak paneer, chicken korma, garlic naan, and a mango lassi! The korma was so flavorful and nice and spicy! The server recommended the palak paneer and it ended up being our favorite dish! Looking forward to trying more items on the menu next time we visit!

Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! The Naan and garlic Naan were especially yummy here.

Mixed reviews on the food. Had a bunch of items. Palak paneer, chicken seekh kabab, beef nihari, lamb curry, catfish fry. The kabab, nihari and lamb curry tasted good. But the catfish was not evenly salted and the palak paneer did not taste at all like its supposed to be. The staff was friendly and the ambience was decent.

One of the worst Pakistani/Indian Restaurants in the entire USA. Everything that we ate was horrible. Worst! Will never go again! Not recommended, they should just close down!

Update. Management did apologize and they have truly taken the criticism in account. Since this review I’ve gone back loads of times and have received nothing but great food and service. I have been coming here for years. What’s stayed consistent is when the owner is present the service and food is amazing. Arguably the best on Devon. But when the owner isn’t there I’ve constantly dealt with orders forgotten(you call and arrive to find out the slip was forgotten) or employees claiming they don’t know how to use a register for you to pay for your food. Just today dealt with an employee who said the “owners the only one who knows how to use it” after countless chances I just give up. If you want a good experience better hope the owner is there. The 3 stars are from the times he has been there. If he had never been there it would be zero. .

I ordered Rumali Roti to go, the rotis tasted good, but the rotis were way way too thick and dry in some spots. Can improve on the fluffiness, if your Rotis are going to be this thick.., will try again.. to see if they can improve after reading the review...

Service is not good. They snapped at us, they flirted with customers, and the food was extremely bad. We asked for spicy and it was the most bland food I have ever tasted. I got the punjabi lassi but instead he gave me straight up buttermilk. Then I told him and this wasn’t what I asked for but he said this is punjabi lassi. However, I am an Indian and I know what it’s supposed to taste like.

The food was tasteless. Butter Chicken is drowning in excess red food color with no taste of butter in it. Same with tandoori chicken in excess red food color. They charged 18% gratuity in the bill and expect cash tips also. The first question they ask you when you go to pay is “ are you paying cash “

Chicken tikka masala is the best (Personally). 1 out of 10 time they mess it up, probably main cook now being there. Otherwise its good place to go with friends, Not with family.

The Food was absolutely amazing!!!! Staff was friendly and made sure we were completely taken care off. Very clean environment and definitely had a family feeling!! We came on a Tuesday at 9pm and it was packed!!! Definitely recommended this place!!!

Their butter chicken looks like they took tandori chicken put in some red sauce. We ordered a few other dishes as well and nothing was appealing enough for us to go back here. It was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I have ever had.

wow they don’t even make fresh butter chicken, they just take the tandoor chicken and put it in their “butter chicken” sauce. (it was red, looked more like chicken tikka masala). Very disappointing experience. Not having any luck finding decent indian food in Chicago. if you’re gonna be this bad of a restaurant at least let your prices reflect that. too expensive for how bad it was.

So this happened yesterday around 12:30. We went into the restaurant. God. What a bad idea. Me and my 3 friends we ordered 1 masala chicken and 2 chicken biryanis. The masala chiken was with shredded chicken so we asked them if we could get chicken pieces. They could have simply said no. They agreed and came with just chicken bones in the curry. We told them that this is only bones. Then we were waiting for the chicken biryani. They told us that the biryani is over. They didn’t bother to tell us untill we asked them when will the biryani order come. Worst experience.

Food takes a while to come out, but that's what you can expect with fresh food, had the best Chai that I've tasted in a long time while I waited on my food. Samosas were not oily at all and nice and crisp, definitely gona be my go to place for chai and tske out.
