Best "Mexican" Food I have had to date in Albuquerque

They were really rude and they add there own tips when the service was horrible

Their menudo is great most of the times we have gotten it. There have been times that it can be too salty but for the most part it’s delicious.

Delicious food I really liked it when I visit Albuquerque I will return.

Loved the Chiles en Nagado and the soup that came with it!

I had their Menudo and man it was so good as well with their horchata Superfresh super good. Their chips and salsa was so good as well very spicy but very good

Very bad food and old days...I don't recommend this place.

I've been coming here since it first opened. It used to be a GEM. Great food, great service, great prices and atmosphere. It is now a mere shadow of its former self. And never more packed than now. It's now a 1/2 wait for a table, which is a total mystery. The food is very low quality (Denny's level) and very expensive for the quality. Watery beans, undercooked eggs, overcooked meat. The service varies from server to server, but is usually okay. The wait in the crammed waiting area is a pain. This was our go-to breakfast place for years, but I think we are done with the overpriced, flavorless food.

Really disappointed in this place. Is this really the best Albuquerque has to offer when it comes to Mexican restaurants? Went it around 9 to pick up an order. The lady who took my order was not very polite and rushed me on the phone. When I got there, the restaurant was humid and smelled unpleasant. There was a cockroach on the floor by the door, ignored by staff as they walked by it. I picked up my food and found the bag to be very light, despite paying close to $22 for a combination plate that didn’t even include chips and salsa or a drink. The food was mediocre at best. Will not be going back any time soon.

To begin, the restaurant is decorated beautifully and so fun! That is a must see. The food is different and delicious. I highly recommend a visit, with assurance you will return. I ve been twice in 1 week

We had lunch: horchata drink, a small caldo de res, and a Suiza Enchilada for a total for $33 (they add 3.5% for payment with credit cards). The food was very good and the atmosphere great. See the photos.

Cócteles de camarones are one of my favorite indulgences. IMHO, those from Delicias Cafe are perfect. They're a bit sweet, whereas other places tend towards spicy. Filled with nicely sized shrimp, cucumbers, and other tasty treats, I like to crumble up the chips they bring with their flavorful salsa and then eat the juice soaked chips along with the shrimp. They have a complete Mexican menu from breakfast to dinner. And the decor inside is beautiful!

I called in an order for Caldo de Pollo, came with a side of spanish rice and corn tortillas. I will never order that ever! The caldo was a bowl full of thick chunks of dry chicken! The rice was worse, no salt no flavor. I can't believe how terrible it was. But, I do love the Menudo from there and the capirotada dessert during lent. Disappointed paying for something that was not good at all.

First time and last, the food was okay however the service was absolutely horrible. Our waitress was rude, ignored us the whole time, when she brought the food she slammed the plates. If you are having a bad day, please don't take it out on others.

today the food was bland and our waitress did not check up on us. We kept looking for her for a refill on drinks and she was sitting down looking bored talking to the other waitress. No one was in the restaurant either so it’s not like it was busy (except another man and he was trying to flag down his waitress too).

I’ve eaten here in the past and never had an issue. However I took a friend to eat there for her first time and the food lacked flavor along with tuff meat in my stew. My server was terrible. You can tell she simply didn’t want to be there.

The hangover cure is the bomb! Be prepared to wait in line as it’s a pretty popular spot. Place has always been very busy when I’ve gone but it’s definitely worth it, especially after Sunday hangovers hah!

Very disappointed not very happy with the service the waitress wasn’t even checking up on the tables all she was doing was sitting talking to her co workers.. right next to our table as we go and check out they charge already there tip lmao I think Tips should be to those who actually are taking there customers properly they don’t even care to take care of the tables because at check our they charge you there tip last time coming there ..

The waitresses no longer serve you because they automatically charge you 18% on the receipt plus they also charge you tax which is understood more separately for using the card another 3.44%. My food came out to $66.50 and I ended up paying 80 dollars with all their charges. which I understand but at least they served well and served the correct portion because they give their pittance of food as if one were asking for free 😠

Didn't get a chance to eat. We went in for a take out and 39 minutes later theist our order. We left and won't return.

Very disappointed!!! We arrived at 5pm for dinner. They stated they ran out of Caldo De Rez. I found a hair in my rice! The beens were grey and cold. The red chile lacked flavor and was bitter, no seasonings added. The green chile sauce was watered down. Also, the floor of the restaurant was dirty, hadn’t been swept. This restaurant used to be our favorite. It’s not the same!

The dishes served are as authentic as being seated at a restaurant in Mexico City.

Sorry, the food was very bad with the family and I tried several things and had a terrible taste in my mouth.

Asado delicias for lunch is the awsome, is a plus that they serve a little portion of beef stew

Food is amazing! Service? Not so much. Waited over 35 minutes for the waitress to come back after we finished. We were going to get dessert, but decided to pay and leave instead.

First time i liked it could of been my favorite but this last time i went i had to go get cash cuz thats all they were accepting we ordered they brought us the food and a small roach was in the table n i killed it with napkin 🤨 so we tell a man that brought our food and he smiles n doesnt do anything then i see another crawling in the table so i get more grossed out lost my apetite cuz im not sure if it came off the plate from there kitchen or the table so we wait n let people pass to pay n ask to speak to the manager n she said nope not here there isint none i fumigate not till i see...good thing i recorded n she didnt charge us. By the way i had ordered barbacoa tacos cuz i couldnt find at another place near by ..but who eats that with rice and salad.$17.99 .i was only gonna eat the tacos by itself.

After talking this place up we ended up eating here just to be disappointed. We were sat right away and took our order, it took over 30 minutes and after it came out one order was completely wrong and the other was ice cold from sitting there so long. The second time the food came out they still got the plate wrong, their solution for the cold plate was to just their it in the oven and it still was cold. We just ate it out of fear of it taking forever to actually get what was ordered or even hot. I don't know if a second chance will be in the future.

It's a beautifully furnished place. The servers are fine too. My problem is the cold food! Cold beans, cold rice, half frozen shrimp. It wasn't even that busy to get a pass on the cold food being served! It used to be one of my favorite places but no mas!

Not really my thing. I went in blind looking to try a new breakfast place. I love NM food with green chili. This just was not that. More authentic Mexicasn food with jalapeño green sauce. The salsa was tasty! The Decorated over the top in bright colors . I appreciate this place, just not what I was expecting or what I wanted

The DELICIAS CAFE is almost hidden in a small shopping center at San Mateo and Osuna NE, but the authentic Mexican food is consistently fantastic for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is colorful and feels like you are visiting Mexico. You can see the open kitchen supercharged with busy cooks and rushing servers. Everything we ordered was delivered quickly and steaming hot from the kitchen - really great service! The food is amazing! The Deshebrada Plate was filled with grilled shredded beef, tomatoes, onions and jalapenos, and it was delightful, especially topped with eggs. The Enchiladas Suizas came with 3 enchiladas (chicken, in this case), rice, refried beans, and a side salad - everything was super tasty. The Enchiladas Verdes (with beef, rice, beans and egg) was equally mouthwatering, as was the side of beef stew (Caldo de Res) which had just the right balance of spices. And the Combo Plate of 2 Beef Flautas, Ground Beef Taco and Ground Beef Gordita was absolutely mind-blowing! Even the breakfast pancakes are large and thick, absolutely yummy with butter and syrup. Portions are quite big, and prices very reasonable. Very highly recommended.

Great Mexican food. Service is friendly.

This is the spot for the best Mexican style breakfast. Absolutely delicious and there are many options. The lunch/dinner dishes are great too and they come with a small caldo de res which is amazing.

The food was nicely prepared but unfortunately the place was a little short staffed so both preparation and service was slow.

This used to be one of my favorite places pre covid. Now it's just average Mexican food at a high price. Went as a family of 4 and got 4 entrées. A burger, flautas, tacos , and chille relleno. 4 drinks and it came out to over a hundred with tax and tip. Honestly id rather go to many other places for that much money. Pre covid, it was slammed in there, and now it's empty. Your prices are too high for average food. You used to have delicious food and it was half that. You can get away with charging this much, but it has to be tasty. This isn't it anymore, bummer.

This restaurant is more authentic Mexican than most places here in Albuquerque, the staff is friendly and helpful and the service is fairly fast. I will say I went at night and there only 2 other people at the at the time, it is a bit pricey so I would recommend going when they have the breakfast/lunch specials available. They did give a little bowl of caldo de res before our meal which was unexpected and very yummy! Fun little appetizer along with the chips and salsa. Overall 4 out of 5 stars

Delicious barbacoa tacos and soup but didn't like the green enchiladas.

Pancakes were cold, food was cold coffee was cold. Not gonna eat there again.

A la comida le faltaban muchos ingredientes, no se diga de los chiles en nogada 👎 cocktail de camarón amarillo en lugar de rojo, sin sabor. El tip 20% se agrega automáticamente y la mesera dormida, muy mal servicio, restaurante muy bonito

This place has amazing food. My husband loves the Caldo de Rès and I love the green chilaquiles here. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place.

This is the second time I’ve ordered lunch with the office from here. The first time I had to throw away the meal as it was flavorless, dry and unseasoned. Today I ordered the Sopes. Again, dry, flavorless, extremely disappointing. Rice is bland, beans are runny with no seasoning. I took 2 bites. Had to spit it out. Threw out the entire meal again. I don’t understand how this place stays in business.

Food is good. Waiters/waitresses could be better. Like be more attentive to customers rather than conversing together and being on their phones and removing plates and cleaning areas. Tried to call in an order as I was going on break from work and had me on hold. I hung up. Took forever for someone to get my order when I walked in. Not happy at all.oh yeah and I agree with all other people who have left reviews. Everything is on point. Word for word. Food is overpriced for the muy poquito que te dan.

It's over priced mexican food. Honestly you can get cheaper and better quality food at a food truck. I had the milanesa de res comes with beans tortilla and French fries (my French fries were salty) $17 they offered tortilla chips and salsa but the tortilla chips were so oily and not crunchy at all.

Upon entering, we were greeted by a L-O-N-G line of patrons waiting for tables. The furniture was great - carved and painted wooden chairs and tables give this restaurant a festive atmosphere. We were seated in the left portion of the dining room, which put us furthest from the rest rooms, which was fine. We were close enough to the kitchen to hear the bustle and voices speaking Spanish. We were surrounded by tables of Mexican families, with multigenerational groups eating at big tables (several tables put together). I ordered the menudo, because I always order menudo when I go to a Mexican restruant. My dining partner ordered the steak fajitas. My menudo was a large bowl (and I didn't order the large size, thatnkfully, or I would not have finished it!) of deliciousness, served accompanied by some diced white onion, cilantro, and a small wedge of lime. The fajitas were great. It was a meal to stuff any carnivorous desire! I watched as my dining partner tried valiantly to eat it, but had to stop about two thirds through. We took the remaining home for a snack later. Everything tasted great, and the atmosphere is light, noisy, and friendly.

I would come here at least once or twice a month. The food reminds me of home, and the menudo is great. But the service is awful 😞. They don't even acknowledge you when you walk in. Everyone just stands there and looks at you. I placed a to go order and when I got there 20 min later they hadn't even placed it in the system, I came during my lunch break and that just ate into my time...I'm sad to say it but I will not be coming here anymore, service is not good enough to justify the food and the prices. I

We came her for brunch on a Wensdays. To have a sit down meal. Their was only a few tables and service was really pour. After our meal we order a plate to go, after being prepaird it sat in the counter for a good 15+ min. And took it home cold. It appeared that the waitress wear more in to gossiping than attending the customer. 🤷 This is just my humbled opinion.

The servers name is Crystal on my receipt but the service here sucks PERIOD across the board and if they think you don't speak Spanish they will talk about you in Spanish, I heard then while I was waiting on hold.

The absolute best, hands-down! Traditional Mexican food is hard to find here in Albuquerque compared to Las Cruces and Delicias is VERY consistent for the price.

Bright colorful place. We made the mistake of going during the busy lunch service. Our waitress was really backed up and just ran from table to kitchen putting out fires. (She had no assistance and the restaurant is poorly designed to get hot food out). My food was tepid and flavourless (it's telling that the refried beans were the best thing on the plate). The waitress forgot my tortillas and didn't bring one of our plates out for 15 minutes after the others. When it was time to pay the bill, no one but our waitress could check us out. (One of the reasons the restaurant is poorly designed). I stood at the register for 10 minutes and finally sat down again and just waited for her to make a moment. Nothing about the three meals that were served at our table would have made me recommend this place even if we had a good service experience.

Es uno de mis restaurantes favoritos recomendado al 100% Su comida. Wow mi platillo favorito chiles en nogada super deliciosos, el ambiente siempre familiar, el lugar bello y limpio todo el tiempo, su servicio de meseros (as) me encanta son demasiado agradables te tratan como si fueran de la misma familia, amo este lugar.

The breakfast burritos here are amazing. They're quite large too! Well worth the price!
