Only reason for 3 star is not their fault, power was out and they were closed, but I picked this place over from Scottsdale to eat at, needless to say I was kind of disappointed but again not their fault hope to try next time around. Gentlemen on the phone when I called was very kind and explained why they had closed that morning. Hopefully they give me the discount next time I'm in town to try them again.

First time here, and I had breakfast around noon midweek. I ordered chicken fried steak, medium eggs, and sour dough toast. My meal came with small cubed hash browns. My CFS was very good, and the gravy was on point with more than the average floor taste that a lot of breakfast joints have. The hash browns were just plain average at best and not as hot as the rest of the meal. My medium eggs were perfectly done medium! This is stunting something a lot of places don't get correct, and Diner 50 nailed it! I was able to place my second egg on top of the hash browns and got them with Tabasco and black pepper for a great combination. My buddy had steak and eggs with whole wheat toast, and we both finished all our meals. The server worked the counter, and so the tables. POS is done right at the table. The Diner is a retro 50's themed establishment. The 50's Diner is not what brought me here for breakfast. The location to my friends' work is, and because the food was good, I'll be back.

Pancakes are PHENOMENAL. The perfect amount of butter and they have crispy edges. So, so good. The atmosphere is literally 50s Diner, very retro and chic. Adriana was super kind. Definitely will be back.

Great vibe and friendly staff. The decor inside is fun, the music fits the era, and they had "I Love Lucy" playing on the cinema. Very nice 50s ambiance. I had the Steak Philly and fries. The Philly was delicious. The bread was fresh, with a steak filling that was tender and delicious. Fresh jalapeños added a nice amount of spice. Bringing everything together was a flavorful, tomatillo salsa. The fries were thick cut - tasty, but could have been a bit more crispy. For desert, I had the bananas foster pancakes. These were absolutely wonderful. The pancakes were fried nicely with an incredible crispy edge. The bananas foster sauce was well-balanced - not too sweet. This was a great place to have lunch (or breakfast, if you'd like). I highly recommend you checking it out!

A little piece of heaven, it’s a must go if you enjoy retro things and good food. They will treat you like family here and it’s a perfect spot to have a hangout, family outing or a meeting while enjoying the delicious dishes they will serve.

We had chilaquiles, biscuits and gravy, and iced lattes. Everything was outstanding! Not to mention the service! Our server was exceptionally friendly and offered great suggestions about the menu. I will forever add cinnamon to my hazelnut lattes now!

This is my top favorite of them all breakfast and brunch diners. The customer service from everyone here is on point. The food is Hot and fresh and ready to eat! Their Chilaquiles are my top fave, and their burgers and fries are also my fav!! Not to mention the environment is everything a diner should be. Highly recommend you try diner 50 with friends and family.

I am a repeat diner here. I simply love it. The atmosphere is simply nostalgic of the time period and the wait staff is fantastic. The owners are there everyday and greet me and my dad by name every time we stop by. It really does feel like going home every time we visit.

Came here when reddit suggested Diner 50 as best diner in Phoenix. I am not disappointed! Tastes so good! Authentic from scratch kitchen. Nice fusion of classic American with a Latin kiss. The wonderful family that runs the place has a heart for animals and runs a rescue as well. Highly reccomend.

This place is Amazing! The food the people the atmosphere. First of all, the food 10/10 everything is made from scratch and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is great nice music not too loud but good music choice. You have to treat yourself and come here they are also an animal Rescue! Resturants like this are a dying breed!

This small restaurant can take you back in time. Food was delicious and the service was great. I love Lucy was playing on the big screen and that was the top note for a remarkable meal. I recommend Diner 50.

This is a great little diner. We were looking for a breakfast place and this diner did not disappoint. The pancakes were delicious! Our family always likes to find unique places with good food to eat at. The owner wears many hats and does it with a smile. She is great, made our experience so nice we visited twice. If you like cats she has a room next to the cafe where she takes care of cats and finds them new homes. Great lady with a big heart.

I went here for breakfast yesterday based on the terrific reviews and I was not disappointed! My waitress was very welcoming, friendly and upbeat as well as very attentive. She made my morning! My order was delivered promptly and it was delicious. The coffee was great too. The diner is really fun with 1950's memorabilia everywhere! On top of that, they were showing nonstop episodes of "I Love Lucy" on a screen behind the counter, and that really warmed my heart. This diner is like a gold mine for those of the "baby boomer" generation like myself, but I trust that younger people will also get a kick out of it too. I highly recommend Diner 50, and I'll for sure return whenever I'm back in Phoenix again!

We were drawn to this location because of the decor and the reviews stated the pancakes are delicious. Well the pancakes, coffee, potatoes, eggs, salsa, EVERYTHING was delicious! The restaurant is 50s theme and the more you look around the more relics you find. There’s 50s music playing in the background while I Love Lucy plays on the projector behind the bar. There are live plants throughout the restaurant as well that add a nice touch. The best part though would be the owner Adri. She was a great hostess making sure we were well taken care of. We had the best time and ended up drinking the whole pot of coffee. I highly recommend Diner 50

Lovely family diner. Decor and environment make you feel at home, even on an out of town visit or cross-country road trip. Banana foster pancakes, chicken fried steak, and eggs were all delicious! Definitely come check out Diner 50! With close proximity to I-17 and good food at good prices, you would be hard-pressed to find a better breakfast in the area.

First let me say I was weary about getting this praised Mexican breakfast favorite because I have been burnt before. This place nailed it. Everything was cooked to order with fresh ingredients. The pancakes were fluffy and moist. Iced coffee is a must! Great job ladies!!

We found this gem while on our way to the airport. This is a family owned restaurant and it is a 50s style decor with some original memorabilia. We had Adrianna as our waitress and she was so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the best biscuit and gravy ever. What a treat.

5 star experience through and through. We were just passing through this morning to begin backpacking for the week in the Grand Canyon and this was the perfect last meal before moving on to camp meals. The green salsa and corn tortillas are to die for. I got the steak and potato bowl with tortillas on the side. I ended up asking for more of both the salsa and tortillas. The owner was serving us and provided excellent service. I rarely leave reviews but knew I had to to support this small business. If you’re thinking of trying it, do it!

I was a little nervous at first to try but my husband and I loved it here! I got the green chilaquiles, which is by far the best ever that I've ever had! So tasty! My husband got the build your own omelet, and he loved that one too! We just love the ambiance here too. The customer service was the best here too! The waitress was super sweet and just so personable! I usually take food pics but after that first bite of my food, I forgot about those pics lol. We can't wait to come back😁😁😁👍👍👍

We are visiting from Texas and stopped by for some breakfast. First, our server was amazing!!! Extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and plenty of it. They wiped and cleaned all the condiments after each use. We will definitely come back on our next trip to AZ!

I've been working in the area for years but somehow missed the fact that this awesome breakfast lunch diner exists! It's cozy and fun inside with a genuine diner feel. Brenda greeted me and was the friendliest server ever! She even helped me find a place to plug my laptop computer in while I waited for my food. I had the burger and I don't know why I bothered to put it down between bites because I just reached right down and picked it back up and devoured it. Love this place, will be eating here again. By the way they do close at 2 PM.
