I was really excited about trying this place because of all the great reviews and you don't see sweet potato biscuits too often. Well, I did not feel good upon walking in and should have turned back around and left. I was not greeted in a friendly or timely manner, my waitress seemed like she had an issue with me and it took forever for my food to come out. I know my food must have been just sitting at the window for a minute. My eggs were not cooked to my liking so I did not touch them and I was not even asked about that. I was so hungry. And left unsatisfied. Well it's all on me, I should have left based on that feeling I had when I arrived.

Today was first time at Dixie Belles & it was an absolute delight! Food was yummy southern style that made me warm inside! Staff was amazing & so nice & welcoming!! I am definitely sharing this treat of a place with everyone I know!!

Got take out. Order was quickly made. We ordered the slam with pancakes and added 2 eggs and a full order of biscuits and gravy. They for got the eggs, called and spoke to Princess she said she would write our info down and tell them to make it right next time. The gravy is good could use a lil more sausage maybe. Pancakes, I wasn't a fan, Not much flavor. The were fluffy though. The biscuits were soft and fluffy even underneath all that gravy. Overall we will come back. It's hard to find restaurants in this area that aren't just a normal chain and charges too much for little food. Pricing here was good.

I love little Mom & Pop restaurants, where everyone usually knows everyone, as these places often have regulars that frequent the establishment, I happen to be one at Dixie. The restaurant is clean, staff are friendly but the quality of food could be better. It’s not bad but again, improving the quality would bring this place to a whole other level. For example, better quality ingredients, creating a few authentic staples for the menu selection, rather than this canned crap that taste disgusting. I understand cost but your customers won’t mind paying for quality. Also, update the menu occasionally and run specials. I’ve been a customer for quite some time, based on my experience, this place is usually quite busy but I’d contribute that to the very limited number of restaurant such as this one. A lot of the patrons are former customers of Carol’s Place, including myself, we were all relocated to this restaurant as an alternative. Breakfast items are better than lunch/dinner. Lastly, presentation matters, the food should look appetizing not slopped onto the plate. Update: Sorry guys, changing my rating to one star! Today, my food arrived with a black curly hair cooked into my egg. I was completely disgusted, wear a hairnet! I’ve ordered from your restaurant at least 2-3 times per week, for years. The butter you are using to either cook the sausage gravy in or to cook or butter the biscuits that accompany the sausage gravy, you shouldn’t leave that sitting out, it spoils! It taste nasty. This is not every time, so I’m guessing it’s only after the butter has sat out and spoiled. Food safety is extremely important, and why sacrifice safety and taste when it can be completely avoided? This isn’t meant as an attack, just constructive criticism with things you can improve on with little effort.

Very nice place, food was great, service was excellent, and a good value. I'm definitely keeping this place on my list when I am in the area again.

There is nothing on the menu you will regret having. Breakfast is amazing and the staff is super friendly. It's an old style diner and most often a seat yourself cadence. From the omelets to the really tasting fried chicken tenders, don't forget the sweet potato breakfast biscuits that they are known for!

Our food was slow because they were having a problem with their PRINTER. Printer? I have never heard that excuse. If you are traveling, find another place.

This is a cafe style diner. We got right in. Server was nice and kept on top of our order. Portions are HUGE! Tasted delicious! Great variety on the menu. Will definitely go again if we are in the area.

We drove over an hour to return to Dixie Belle's Cafe to grab those delicious sweet potato biscuits. The restaurant's food overall is 8/10 - A good Southern influenced breakfast menu. But the biscuits are a 9/10 - get them grilled with a lot of butter. We accidentally found this restaurant a few years ago while traveling through Orlando. We're glad to have it on our list of vacation eateries to stop at.

Great, fast service and food was delicious!

This was a fantastic place to have brunch. We ordered the eggs Benny but subbed the bacon with veggies, French toast, and a veggie omelette. We would definitely recommend this place and is going to make into our SABR Favs list.

My family enjoyed our breakfast at this cute restaurant. Kim waited on us and she was super welcoming. All the staff is super friendly.

The special of the night was fried chicken and it was really good. I also like the cornbread and the sides as well. I took a peach cobbler home and it was delicious. But the star of that restaurant is the young lady waitress, she really is personable, friendly and I enjoyed her service.

Extremely disappointed with my recent experience at your restaurant. I waited for over an hour without receiving any food, while new customers were continuously being seated. It was frustrating to see no action being taken to address the situation for existing patrons. This lack of service is unacceptable and needs immediate attention.

Something went critically wrong in the kitchen, as the restaurant was full with no one getting their food. After 45 min, one table got served who came well after us. Understanding they had a major problem, staff flipped the open sign to closed but people kept coming with no one at front informing them they’ve closed. Throughout this whole ordeal, we got absolutely no updates or explanations for the delay from neither our server nor anyone else. We left at the 1.25 hour mark, with no food for us or anyone else. Lastly, the order we got was the coke, which was flat.

Just came in on an early flight from lax and found this gem of a place. Try the toasted sweet potato biscuit it is well worth the trip.

Diner - delicious waffles and typical American food

I'm from Philly, and I came across this gem 💎 5 years ago. Ever since then, every time I'm in Orlando, I have breakfast here 3-4 times during my week long stay. The food is great, the service is great, and the restaurant itself is so cute. I just got home from my trip today, and I even purchased one of the cute little coffee mugs they use there. I can't wait to go back. See ya again soon, Dixie Belle's!!

Place is delicious. Biscuits and gravy are on point. We've gone three times and now the waitress knows our drink order and that my coworker asks for jelly. Awesome place.

Unfortunately not as good as I had hoped but I would still visit again. I agree with the comments that some of the things seemed canned. i.e. butter and gravy

**UPDATED** A disgrace to small family-owned business and a disgrace to Orlando. These people are rude, disrespectful, and serve the lowest quality food possible. Then get upset when they are called out for it. Something tells me once the older crowd is no longer around this will be OUT OF BUSINESS. Check out some of their other 1 star reviews. This most certainly is not “an unusual review” for this restaurant. Disgusting food and Despicable behavior. Stop antagonizing locals and refusing to take responsibility for your poor service and food. **ORIGINAL REVIEW** I always try to support small business but this has to be said — the biscuit was soggy and tasted like soap, eggs were disgusting, and they give you margarine instead of real butter. This is fast-food quality at best. Very sad.

This diner is a little slice of heaven from the southern hospitality to the delicious food, went here for breakfast and was treated to a great experience. We were tended to like regulars and the price of the meal reminded me of the days of eating at those great mom and pop owned dinners after a long night of partying. The meat lovers omelette was amazing very well cooked and loaded with the perfect amounts of thinly shredded ham sausage and bacon. Will definitely go back when we're in the area again.

I read on Facebook that Dixie Belle’s has the best sausage and gravy biscuits in Orlando. I had to see for myself and I did! They do indeed, have the best gravy and biscuits, plump biscuits, baked to perfection with a generous helping of sausage gravy with large pieces of sausage, overall quite tasty. The service was pleasant and prompt. I felt very welcomed and was invited to come back. Breakfast was very reasonably priced as well. I saw some of the breakfasts ordered by other customers and they looked delicious as well. I definitely will return with family in tow.

I just had the BEST chicken and waffle I've ever tasted. Me and my family are from Texas and stopped here to eat today and it was delicious. If we ever travel to Orlando again we'll be back for sure.

Dixie Belle's is a great little place. Their breakfast is fantastic. Good menu, Lots of regulars go in there and the staff which is very friendly knows them by name. Not overly priced, order's are cooked just the way you want. If you're looking for a great breakfast or lunch check this place out!

The food was bland. I had a breakfast sandwich with sausage on a biscuit . The biscuit was soggy, the sausage was typical Jimmy dean type breakfast sausage patties. Honestly, the breakfast sandwich at McDonald's is better, as is the coffee at McDonald's. My husband's hash browns were dry, likely kept warm of the griddle for awhile. The sweet potato biscuits were awful. Soggy, dense, likely Microwaved to warm. Our server was abrupt and not at all social. Overall, plainly awful. Save your money. McDonald's is better

Great atmosphere and people. Lots of Choices for both Breakfast and Lunch Menus. In my case and for my Experience. I ordered 2 Biscuits and Gravy (4 halves) with 4 over easy Eggs. I peppered the heck out of it and layered Eggs. It was super duper delicious 😋 Thank you for this absolutely amazing comfort food 🙏✨

Cute little place. After receiving a recommendation we stopped here on our way home from the parks. Very personable staff and a nice local business. The dish my spouse ordered had so much gravy if was challenging to enjoy but that can be resolved by just ordering it on the side next time. Definitely give them a try!

Clean, modern, modest look. Fresh food, cooked correctly, tastes good, good portions. Good menu selection, priced as it should be for 2024. Extremely friendly staff, made us feel welcome. Would come back again when in the area. Might sound simple, but they should teach a class on how to make toast....absolutely Perfect!

We had a late breakfast/ basically was lunch time and they were busy! It was worth the little extra wait! Best over medium eggs Ever! Hash browns were also very good...I usually have to ask for them to be crispy! Our server ( I forgot her name 🤔) was awesome and even got a to go for my yummy sweet tea!

I’ve been coming to orlando for 21 years why didn’t I know about this place? If you haven’t been it’s a must!! Dixie cafe is a comfy , homey, southern cafe with a mom and pop feel. The pancakes were tasty but the chicken was to die for crispy, juicy and so flavorful. You know the homemade sweet potato biscuits are excellent when you order them and they’re out! With our luck they were making more batches we had them and they did not disappoint. Our waitress came around and checked on us often from the beginning she informed is the wait was going to be 30 min as every table was full, at no point did we feel rushed when our food came out. Instead we had what I thought was a hostess come around making sure everything was ok I later come to find out that she’s the owner what a nice and humble woman. You can tell why her business is thriving wishing them only the BEST. From Westlake Florida we will be back!

We had been looking forward to trying this place for a long time. Strongly disappointed. Tried the famous sweet potato biscuits (which I would compare to French toast more than biscuits.) They were dense. They looked gross on the plate, it almost felt like we got the reject ones. The biscuits and gravy while good were not spectacular, felt like I could get the same at a different breakfast food chain. Our server didn’t mention the menus were incorrectly printed until we asked about the biscuits and gravy which were missing from the menu. The menu prices directly from their website didn’t match the prices in the restaurant. Our server after taking our order didn’t check on us again until we were basically done with our meal. She handed us the wrong check twice, once after charging our card, which was quite unsettling. We requested a to-go box and the one brought to us was busted. We tried to get any servers attention and they ignored us or were so focused they didn’t see us blatantly waving for assistance. We normally believe in giving places two chances, but I don’t foresee us doing that for this establishment.

What are you waiting for? Get a sweet potato biscuit grilled and thank me later.

Recommended breakfast spot. Ordered a staple (Western Omelet). Very good biscuits & gravy. Will definitely go again. Learned that they serve dinner a few nights & plan to go back to try that too. Update 2/28/24 - Found out Wednesday is "Chicken Day". Chicken & Waffles!!

I was in the area on the way to the airport and decided to stop by to get takeout. I had a classic southern breakfast of grits, eggs, smoked sausage, and a biscuit. I was mainly excited for the smoked sausage, but it was just okay. The biscuit turned out to be the standout of the meal. It was fantastic. The service was efficient and the staff were friendly.

Took over 30 minutes to get our food and that was after another party arrived 15 minutes after we ordered and they got their food before we did! Pathetic.

Our family was visiting the area and decided to stop at Dixie Belle’s for breakfast. The food was delicious and our waitress, Victoria, was so bubbly, kind, and helpful. At her suggestion, we tried the sweet potato biscuits, and what a treat! The hashbrowns were also loved by the whole family and the portions are so big we had some to take home. Great breakfast!

This was a quaint dive. It rained heavily that day, but we were covered on the patio. My lab enjoyed being outside and watching people. The food was good and the service was great! Husband thought the bacon was too crispy. He liked my bacon in the florentine benedict so we swapped.
