We went to check out this restaurant a few months ago as we were exploring Melbourne beach and the beautiful pier next to this restaurant. It was around 3:30 pm on a weekend. We go to read the menu on the front dining area patio and some rude hostess and waitress come charging out telling us that "they are closed and not open for business yet" Well we knew that. We just wanted to check the menu out. Arrogant and rude is what we encountered. We decided we will Never dine at this establishment. The owner and restaurant manager seem to be clueless to allow this kind of behavior from employees towards potential customers.

Wow! What a nice experience with my bride… almost elegant atmosphere, beautiful live piano music, perfect romantic lighting, excellent service and recommendations by our waiter Tom. The drinks were perfect. We both had the smoked old fashioned and D’mule (I would invest on buying some copper mugs for serving, this is just a suggestion and my preference, won’t take off anything from being a 5-star restaurant). We asked for them to be made without sweet flavors (our preference). They were truly delicious. We shared the escargot as an appetizer, and both had Caesar salads (made almost to perfection). My wife had the grilled sea bass, and I had the shrimps and grits. Both entrees were spectacular in flavors, texture, amounts, temperature and presentation. On our way out, we decided to make a reservation for happy hour for late Sunday afternoon, and again, no disappointments. Nice water view! We highly recommend it.

Visiting from out of town, we went for our Anniversary on the recommendation of a local. We ordered the Brie appetizer..brie was good but was served with fruit that was almost rotten, strawberries (3) were mushy & the grapes were on the way out. should never have been brought to the table like that. We let waitress know & they brought more apples, but should have taken it & given us new one. I had a walnut crusted halibut special, which was just ok, boring.. not a lot of taste, along with the rice & spinach. My husband had the filet that also was nothing special, a bit gamey. The service was ok, but it was not the best experience.

This was our first visit to Dijon's after living in Indialantic for 7 years. It's been on our bucket list...but just now getting around to trying it. We've hesitated and been reluctant to go based on recommendations and comments from people we know...they're comments were always that it was just "so so" or "just ok." Anyway, we tried it and let me say...we will not go out of our way to go back. The food was good...a little pricey, but good! I guess the price is competitive for a good entree ($48.00 for the 8oz fillet steak) but the sides were skimpy. I had the 8oz filet steak. It came with a dab of mashed potatoes and about 8 string bean (yes, I counted them...lol). The steak itself was tender and cooked right but very bland...it did not have that open flame grilled flavor...and they don't offer any condiments to go with it other than their house-made sauces and the two that I tried were very bland. I realize that most people say that a good steak grilled to perfection does not need any sauce. Although that may be true for some, some of us like a little zest with our grilled steak...no matter how good the cut or how good it's grilled! The wife had the salmon. She was happy with it, not ecstatic, but satisfied! However, the icing on the cake was the horrible waiter. I wish I could remember his name because I would post it here to warn other people to ask for someone other than him. To put it bluntly, he was very snarky, arrogant and just a plain jackass with an attitude! He should not be in public service...especially in the hospitality industry. My wife and I paid attention to the other wait staff and observed to see how they treated their tables...and they appeared very friendly by contrast. So, dine at your own risk! In my opinion, if your in the area looking for a good steak...try the Mansion. I've had their fillet steak twice and it was great. Also, if you're in Vero Beach, try Ocean Grill! I've also had their fillet steak twice and it's amazing! I'm not trying to plug these other two restaurants...just offering my opinion! So, Happy dining!

Great atmosphere. We had an amazing table… large party. Waiter was a bit irritated as it got close to closing time. Wait time was about an hour for the food, but we had a party of 8. The Health Department write ups made me nervous to try some of the foods but the steaks everyone had were great, only complaint I heard from our party was the gravy on top would have been preferred without it. Great photos and relaxing atmosphere though.

Disappointing. We have been customers here multiple times and decided to do my 40th bday here. Made a reso letting them know it was a celebration. Was met by the usual snobby maître d who gives us attitude everytime we go. On top of that we are both recovering from severe food poisoning after this meal. It was on Tuesday and we both just finished being extremely sick from eating here. The waiter was great and very hospitalitable and the pianist created a great atmosphere. However this meal was overall quite disappointing and not what I’d expect from a restaurant labeled as fine dining with a $200+ bill

Took my wife to Djon's for Mother's Day Dinner. We weren't impressed and the experience certainly didn't match the bill. First thing we noticed was that there was No Free Parking. Either you paid to park or availed yourself of the Valet Parking (which means customary Tip). Secondly, we noticed that on a humid warm May evening in Florida the entrance door remained wide open welcoming gnats and other insects into the restaurant. As we continued inside there was a piano player. Our first impressions were "Nice". However, the volume was soooo Loud that once we were seated at our table, we could Not even hear each other talking. Then when we were served our dinners, our Filets ($45.00) tasted more like Onaha Steaks. We both asked for Bernaise Sauce for our Filets. Instead of Djon's bringing each of us an individual serving in a serving bowl, they covered our individual steaks in the Sauce. Additionally, we both ordered a Ceasars Salad which came void of only a mere amount of salad dressing Sadly to say, we were looking forward to our meal at Djon's. However, we will not be returning to their establishment!

Happy Hour specials are worth the visit, but sit outside if you have a sensitive nose and be aware of their prices if you order a bottle of wine for the table. Maybe it's from spending a few years in the restaurant biz, but I can't stand that "restaurant smell" that some places struggle to control. As soon as I cleared the front door I could smell it. But other members of my party didn't seem to notice, so I'm probably just oversensitive to it. Another friend of mine got sticker shock after ordering a couple bottles of normally inexpensive wine. Of course restaurants have a substantial markup, but just be sure to ask for a price list before ordering a "safe bet." That said the food is really good, and the well bourbon was spot on. The burger is amazing, along with the steak bites and escargot. Service was also super good. And I love the new tables and chairs. They should go all in and remove the carpet though.

I recently dined at Djon and had an extremely disappointing experience. From the moment we walked in, the hostess was very rude, giving us an unwelcoming look up and down instead of greeting us properly. As someone with dietary restrictions, we found the menu to be very limiting, with only two or three items we could actually eat. The menu is not inclusive at all. The bread served was very plain and tasted like it was store-bought, lacking any freshness. The house salad was another low point, containing multiple leaves that were clearly rotting and old. When our main course arrived, the vegetable entrée was utterly appalling. It was soggy, drenched in butter, and completely devoid of any flavor other than the overwhelming taste of butter. The service was equally poor. Our waiter was very slow in providing water, checking on us, and bringing the check. Overall, the experience at Djon was far from satisfactory, and I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I have wanted to go to Dijons for 20 years. Especially because I live so close and I have heard wonderful things about it. We decided that although our budget wouldn't allow us to spend $75 on a steak or even $36 on Lobster Mac & Cheese, we would go for lunch or early dine. We looked at their menu online in advance. I tried to call 9 times for a few days before our anniversary to find out lunch hours and early dinner hours. No one EVER answered the phone. It was always a recording asking you to leave a message. So the day comes to go, and we decide on Early Dine. We get there, and they ask us where we would like to sit dining room, bar, or outside. It was hot out so and we like quiet so we chose the dining room. We told them we were there for Early Dine, and they said "Oh we don't have that or lunch any longer." We said we had been looking at their menus online, and nothing indicated that it was no longer an option. I believe it was the manager who seated us, and he said that they needed to update the information online. I also told him I had called 9 times to find out hours, and no one ever answered, and he said nothing. We thought surely we could find something on the menu for around $30 each. We were hoping not to spend over $100. To us, $75 is just too much for a steak, so off to the bar we go for 'Happy Hour' . There were a few reasonably priced appetizers, and you could also order anything extra you wanted off the dinner menu. We were going to split a house salad and French onion soup, which they split for us, which was very nice. I had the steak tips on the appetizers menu, and my boyfriend had a burger, and we each had a drink. The food and drinks were good but not special. The service was excellent. Our server said she was fairly new. I wish I had gotten her name, but she was great. They did not do anything special for celebrating our anniversary, which I really didn't expect but is always nice. We left there spending exactly what we wanted to $100. But I must say all in all, we were both underwhelmed.

My entire came with a salad and 2 sides so that was a plus but for the price not blown away. I chose the special for the night which was the grouper 4 out of 5 on flavor and texture, the rice was plain and bland and I needed more sauce which Alicia provided to me. My wife chose the filet which I gave a 3. Not extremely tender and the flavor was bland it needs the additional of one of there sauces. The moose’s for dessert was great. Went here on a Friday night with four others....Really cool vibe but being honest food was not anything great...Our server was nice but SLOW. Drinks, apps, and meals we spent over $650 for five ppl and like I said food was not worth it.

Went for our Anniversary dinner on a Saturday night, first time there. Had reservations. Was seated within about 10 mins. We went knowing it was expensive so my husband felt waiting like that to be seated was unacceptable but it didn’t bother me. But what I did agree with him on is AFTER we were seated we sat there for a solid 15 mins with no one coming to our table. No water, no menus, nothing. For the amount of money it costs to eat there, you should be treated with service to match. My husband gave them a 4 minute timer 🙄 or we were going to leave. I got up to get the Mgr to let him know no one had come to our table yet. They were quick to apologize and give us water and menus. Server was nice but he obviously was preoccupied with a larger table he had. We had the Mediterranean Octopus. It was good, but a little on the rubbery side. We both had the roast lobster tail….that was excellent! We didn’t stay for dessert cause my husband was irritated about the service. I only had 1 drink and our bill was still over $200. So I sorta understand where he’s coming from although he tends to have a short fuse, but that is a lot of money to spend on 1 meal and the service not add up. There’s 2 vibes going on…the front of the house is a piano bar. We were seated at the back of the house and it was a more trendy feel. I felt like it’s what SUR on Vanderpump Rules would be like. All in all would I go back? No….not on my dime cause it’s too expensive but if someone else paid I would try it again but this time I would request a seat in the piano bar area.

We came down from Daytona for our anniversary. Our server had great recommendations for drinks and food, she was so sweet and fun! The pianist was so enchanting, was surprised to see on a Monday night but made it all so special! The food was fantastic! Thank you so much for a memorable experience!

We have been going to Djon's for dinner, parties, and happy hour for years. Unfortunately, on our last stop for happy hour there was an extremely loud and boisterous group at the bar. They were so loud we could not converse with our guests at our table. I know other patrons were also upset with the commotion. The group, to my knowledge, was never asked to quiet down. Instead of enjoying the excellent food we basically ate and left with frowns on our faces. Management needs to know what type of clientele it caters to. Djon's is not a neighborhood Cheers bar.

Nice outdoor dining experience, but some covered seats around the edges aren't well protected from rain. Multiple other parties had to move when the rain started. Best duck we've had in Florida. Scottish salmon was perfectly cooked, soft and juicy. Creamed spinach was good, but far too salty. Exotic mushrooms were excellent. It was our third time there and we'll certainly return. We are happy to see that they now have Wagyu beef and dry-aged beef.

On Dec 22, 2023, Joshua B. took his grandmother & family to dinner to thank her for always supporting the family. It’s not often we get to give those their flowers while they are still with us. Mom (Mrs Lola) enjoyed the meal, service and the atmosphere. Staff and food were top notch. We will visit again. Marsha Ellison

Our waiter, Kyle, was so great. Very personable and engaging.Very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was unbelievably out of this world. Everything was perfect. My filet was huge and cooked to perfection. I actually got three meals out of it. I was sorry when took the last bite. I wish I was able to go back again tomorrow. I found that I couldn’t complain about anything.

We went for our wedding anniversary. My 10yo really wanted us to go somewhere "fancy," and my husband wanted a good steak. Let me assure you, it was delivered in spades. First of all, let me complement the staff on being accommodating and very friendly. We were given our pick of places to sit and when my daughter had questions about server life, they were all answered and discussed. Additionally, when I mentioned "No dairy," our waitress understood, and the kitchen staff made slight changes that were very much appreciated. The atmosphere is very cool in this old Florida house. Chandeliers, wood/tile floors, fireplaces, and a piano bar. The chairs in the lounge were all puffy and eclectic, while the main dining areas were white linen and high backed dining chairs. We ordered drinks and some appetizers to start. My daughter was thrilled with her Shirley Temple, and my husband said it was the best Mule he had ever had. The ginger was very sharp and delicious. The bread came out and I was given oil & vinegar due to my dairy allergy; however, I was informed that the butter was AMAZING and tasted freshly made. My husband the had his French onion soup arrive along with my octopus dish. While his was good, mine was divine. Chard octopus with micro greens, olives, capers and a vinaigrette. Yum. The salads, both house and Ceasar were quite tasty and we were ready for the main course. We each got a bone in ribeye and my daughter got the roasted chicken with fries. She declared the fries very good a d the chicken excellent. The steaks were perfectly mid-rare and the greenbeans, potatoes and rice (for me) were very nice. But the steaks in particular rank within the top 3 easily. The seasoning, cook, presentation, trimming and flavor were all perfection. I may have shed a happy tear. And although we were stuffed to the brim, we still had desserts. I was so ecstatic to see a dairy free option, mango sorbet. My husband got a NY Cheesecake that reminded him of our neighbors back in Seattle and the kiddo ordered the Chocolate meltdown (lava cake w/ice cream). Everyone was very happy....oh, and my cup of coffee was quite a nice way to end everything.

Classy Beachside restaurant. Fresh oysters, perfectly prepared Veal Chop, excellent octopus appetizer also cooked perfectly, tasty roasted chicken moist with crispy skin, creative cocktails and salads. It is a much needed restaurant in this food barren area.

Our experience at Djon’s Steak and Lobster House fell short of expectations. Despite making reservations well in advance for our 20th anniversary. I even mentioned or 20th anniversary and we were seated in a less desirable area. The quality of the food didn’t align with the price; the scallops were undercooked and the lobster was chewy. Additionally, the service lacked proper etiquette, as our waiter repeatedly reached across my wife, disrupting our dining experience. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t meet our hopes for a special celebration, and it’s unlikely we’ll return to Djon’s in the future. We would not recommend this restaurant.

TLDR - this place is straight up excellent. Had Waygu strip and Hamachi crudo - amazing. Steak was perfectly seared - no charring. Crudo was well balanced. Finished up with tableside Bananas Foster - what a treat! Classy atmosphere and staff is very friendly. 11/10 would recommend.

Not an acceptable experience. My wife found this restaurant online and made reservations for New Year's Eve 3 weeks before our visit on New Year's Eve. At no time did their website indicate that the menu would be prex fixe. No one said this when we called to make the reservation, and no one called us after we made the reservation either (....despite the waitress claiming they did call some people). And, NO, it was not just us that were deceived. As the waiters went to each table, each one of them tried to awkwardly spin the situation with the obviously disgruntled and disappointed patrons. Some were better at this deception than others. But it was apparent that many knew the owners were making them party to a money-grab devised to take advantage of the holidays. Perhaps some people got up and left. We didn't see any. However, imagine you've had reservations for New Year's Eve for three weeks and you drive an hour to a restaurant way down a little street for your New Year's Eve meal. Are you now going to get in your car (which was parked by the valet) and try to find another restaurant on New Year's Eve??? Good luck. Pretty clever of them I guess...(?)...Fortunately we can afford to be hit with a $500 dinner bill for two and not be stressing about it for much or all of 2024. However, I am sure others who were there were shocked at the base price of $150 per person plus additional fees for anything deviating from the prex fixe (& these deviations were carefully written in infinitesimally small letters on the prex fixe menu-- see pictures). Yes, we had looked at the menu and knew it was a high end restaurant. This was actually something we had planned on. But we had also anticipated being able to pick and choose what we spent our money on and what exactly we would be having for such an expensive and special meal. There's actually more sad detail I could share about how disappointing this experience was, but I feel this is enough. Except maybe just this: I hope these owners realize that the holidays are supposed to be a time where we all share in celebration, and taking advantage of others at this time of year to make a quick buck is disgraceful.
