Great food. We recommend it to everyone and their families

Found this gem by searching for BBQ near me. While it is not a BBQ restaurant, their BBQ offerings were fantastic! As was the fried chicken, all the sides, the cobblers (especially the strawberry rhubarb) and the complimentary pie with purchase. Our server was very attentive. I was only visiting my home state from Utah and venturing to Vincennes for the day, but have told all my So IN family that they must go and enjoy for me!

Every single item we had was delicious. The fried chicken is epic and the pulled pork was right up there too. A lovely salad bar and wonderful pie. Be sure to have some of the pasta salad and the broccoli/ cauliflower salad - bith are excellent.Thank you for joyfully serving us and lovingly making great food. We pray God's blessing on this business and each team member.

Price was cheap! Food was delicious! Also had pie's, bread and ice cream!!!! 1st time eating here.will be bring my wife back here to eat on a weekend motorcycle ride! Staff was pleasant!

First time trying this restaurant. First impressions staff was extremely friendly, location was well kept and very clean especially given how busy they were when we got there. The buffet price is very reasonable for both kids and adults and in my opinion is rare these days to even find a BBQ place that has a buffet. The taste of the food is definitely high especially given it's cooked for large amounts of people at one time. The temp of the food was also fresh and the seasoning on the meats (chicken, brisket and ribs) as well as the non meats is top notch. I was worried the fried chicken was going to be dry and tasteless when I first got it but was pleasantly surprised to find it was more of the appearance and the food was very fresh and seasoned like they were worshiping an ancient god with it or something. To top it all off the pies and cakes were amazing I got the coconut cream pie and my son got the chocolate cake and both were more than you could ask for both in size and taste. Top notch location, a place I would call a hidden gem for sure, we will be back and is definitely a place worth checking out if you love BBQ!

First time customer so didn't know what to expect. Amish style buffet restaurant with good food and cozy atmosphere. Salad bar was good, several types of meat, bread with the peanut butter topping various deserts. Servers were attentive and friendly.

2024: Great again! Lots of tasty choices! 2022: This place is fantastic! Normally my husband is not a fan of buffets, but my son really wanted us to try it because he went with co-workers recently and enjoyed it. My husband said it was the cleanest buffet he's ever seen. Everything we tried was wonderful and fresh! Pulled pork, fried chicken, ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad bar, so many pie options. Will definitely recommend this place!

This is my favorite place to eat. The only thing wrong with it is that it is a 40 mile drive to get there!!

Solid 4 stars here. We were pleasantly surprised. While advertising as a BBQ, they have many options- including fried chicken and frog legs! The buffet includes a salad bar and hot menu items, with a decent selection. We didn't go hungry. They do fried chicken right. The dessert selection was also nice - anywhere with strawberry rhubarb is in good standing with me. The brisket was decent. Prices were reasonable. The staff was super - 5 stars all around. The facility was clean and quite busy. Lots of noise and happy faces. Parking was free and nearly full. This is a popular spot. There is a 24/7 gym across the street for afterward. She's. We will be back.

Celebrated my son's graduation with Dogwood Barbeque. Chicken and beef brisket were top-notch. I was kinda disappointed that cheesy potatoes were not on the buffet. There is plenty of variety of food. If you go away hungry, its your own fault. Strawberry and rhubarb cobbler plus ice cream for dessert. I would recommend it to anyone.

Oh my gosh! Passing through Vincennes and stopped here for lunch. Really good food and service was amazing. AND homemade pie is included with your meal. And not to forget their homemade bread. Yum

We stopped here to eat while in town visiting the Red Skelton Museum! So glad we did. It's a small little Amish buffet, and with some of the best food we have ever eaten and we live in the South lol! Our waiter was pretty non existent, but they were busy. Only trouble we really had was after coming back to the table from getting food, the hostess had cleared off our table completely thinking we had left. So we had to get drinks and silverware again lol. We will def come back!

This Place is Amazing, the food is so so so Good, can't wait to go back.

I love this place but avoid buffets strictly because I dont eat enough. I do however frequent the drive thru line and my favorite meal is the #2, with a slice of either coconut cream or cherry pie; sometimes both. My only qualm is its a bit pricey for the amount you receive (one scoop of pulled pork, one scoop of green beans, one scoop of red potatoes), but it is tasty. I feel the portion is great for lunch, but at dinner you may as well eat inside to get your fill.

This is a great restaurant to find all of your favorite Amish recipes on a broad buffet. The food here is very good and you will likely overeat so use this as your cheat meal for the week. The servers here are very nice and prompt with drink refills. The restaurant is very clean. It us easy to find using Google Maps. Parking is easy in their large free lot. You will want to visit more than once.

There needs to be an option for above 5 stars. Just passing through and this place is mind blowing. Bad thing about this place, it's not closer to where I live so it's going to cut into my gas bill when I become a frequent customer.

Clean establishment and the staff was very friendly, but that's it. Food was bland & obviously "instant" or pre-made. Mac n cheese was equal to Great Value boxed shells in cheese & the mashed potatoes were soupy & not real. Meats were flavorless. Very disappointing and not worth what we paid.

You will not regret stopping here to eat everything I put in my mouth was absolutely delicious. Taste like sitting down to grandmas table on a Sunday. But don’t go on Sundays because they’re not open, closed Sundays and Wednesdays

Food is good but after being served our drinks the waitress never came back to check on us. No drink refills and was not offered dessert.

It’s one of if thee best restaurants in the city. So if you’re anywhere within the Knox county area you have to check them out.

Down home cooking, friendly staff, plenty of parking, and an affordable buffet price for salad, soups, entrees, dessert and drinks. They even have a discount night for teachers and police! You can be safe, smart, and 'fed' all in one local spot! ;-)

Drove from Philpot Kentucky to eat after we had Dogwood food at a wedding 2 weeks before. Well worth the drive, the food is amazing, the people are very polite and friendly.

I have not been here in a long time. Since the change of ownership. The food quality was good, but not as good as it used to be. There is no longer a senior discount. The meal was good, but it could be a little better. If you're looking for this cuisine and want to eat a lot to match your cost of the meal, by all means, go here. Had our mother sister lunch of the month there. Everything was very good. Big variety of foods on the buffet, several soup choices and meats and veggies. Waitress was good , seated right away and quick with refills

Went on a get-away out of town with several friends and enjoyed a great dinner at Dogwood. Jessica was a superb waitress and went above and beyond to make our meal enjoyable. Good variety of food choices topped off with delicious piece of pie. Love the scripture verse on the receipt. Will remember this place the next time we visit from the Indianapolis area.

Food was good & fresh. The buffet is limited & pricey for me because but it's all you can eat. And you also have the option to order off the menu. They had frog legs when we went and everyone at our table enjoyed them. The fried chicken was REALLY good! They were out of cobler but do bring your choice of homemade pie to the table, included with your meal. My family really likes it here.

Great place to get some good smoked pork, brisket, and ribs! The wait staff was super friendly and was constant on drink refills. The salad bar and buffet both had great options. I will certainly be returning soon!

We love going on Wednesday nights for the sour kraut and ribs they have. Went for a quick lunch on a Friday and I think I ate a little bit of everything this place is 5 stars all around

As a former customer from their opening, it is sad to write this. I went through the drive through and ordered the beef brisket. I opened the container and saw a medium piece of beef on top of a pile of fat. I called to ask about the excess fat and was told that it is marbled and beef/fat can't be separated. She said that I could come back for a couple of pieces. When I went back and showed the young manager the picture she repeated the marbled info with extra servings of snippy and extra rude...I was amazed that any manager would be so rude. She said that it was "interesting" that I had a photo and showed it to others for their opinion. I hope her rudeness plus the fact that they thought it was ok to offer a piece of beef with several of fat...doesn't take them out.

We were stunned it was a buffet not just BBQ! Great delicious food! Our host threw our utensils on the table frustrated our son requested to seat elsewhere with his date. After driving an hour for dinner, and spending over $80 before two tips, it wasn't a far fetched request from 2 seventeen year olds. Aside from that it was a great dinner.

I was expecting maybe ribs or brisket. sadly disappointed. 2hwt was there was ok but it lacked true bbq atmosphere and selections. first time there. last time too

The food on the buffet was really good (BBQ pulled pork was my favorite), and there was a variety. My only complaint is that I couldn't taste peanut butter in the peanut butter pie.

Delicious Amish buffet. Full salad bar, and the BEST mashed potatoes! Homemade barbecued meats and fried chicken that are so good! Also the best cabbage!!! A lot of other great side dishes too. Drinks are separately purchased, and pie and dessert are included. Raychelle is a great server! All of the employees are nice!

WOW! Our first time eating at Dogwood BBQ, but DEFINITELY not our last! We can't figure out why we've never eaten there before, but we're sure thankful that we stopped in today. All the food was fresh and DELICIOUS.

Wasn’t expecting a buffet as I thought it was a barbecue joint. I was not disappointed. This place is fantastic, including the staff.

I've eaten here since the first day they opened my family was apart of the birthday club where the first so many to eat there were on the list, In the last 5-7 years they have been adding some type of MSG to the buffet. Everytime I eat here I legit eat exactly the same amount of food as I do everywhere else a small salad plate and a main plate no dessert. I get this pain in the middle of my chest the last 10+ times I've eaten here thinking oh its just a fluke but today it happened again pain in the chest absolutely sick full feeling like overstuffed, I feel 100% they add a filler to the sides this is the only place I've ever eaten in my life I get sick with diarrhea everytime I go those the foods great but if your like me just know they add msg to side dishes and possibly some main courses especially the potatoes. The service and good is awesome, you cant knock them for that just something is up at dogwood bbq

We had never been before. I thought it was the option of ordering a meal or buffet. If you go in to , at it's only buffet. Now I'm not a huge buffet person but all the food was fabulous! It was 72 dollars for all 6 of, us which I didn't think was bad! They were so friendly, and the service was amazing

Good price. Good selection on the buffet. Pie is excellent. Maybe it was because we came close to closing, but the only feedback is that some of the dishes were drying out from the heat lamps, so they probably just needed stirred more often.

This is the second time in a month that we have went thru the drive thru and they have messed up our order. The first one we callee ahead and asked for all legs in the family chicken dinner we picked it up and got home and had one leg. Then today went thru to get 3 BBQ rib meals and they gave us 3 BBQ pork meals. The food is great but from now on I gueas we will be going inside to make sure our order is correct.

The food was pretty good. A little pricey but right now it's kind of hard to do lower prices.

This was our first time here and everyone welcomed us like family. The service was great and everything that made it into my bowl, or on my plate, was delicious. If I lived closer I would have to up size my wardrobe (ha). Definitely a place to go if you enjoy a truly home-cooked meal!

Food was great. Their desserts on the buffet didn't look too appealing I tried one and it was hard I think it was a brownie could be wrong. And I knew that they had chicken livers but didn't know that they're only on Tuesday and of course I went in on Monday.

So good!!! Went for the first time last week and I'm thinking now this will be our new go to place! ❤️

We had our family meet here for dinner and celebrated my wife's birthday. Everything went very well. The waitress we had was spectacular. She was there to help us enjoy the dinner. We had the chocolate cake from here for her birthday cake. It was delicious.

Very rude manager! Stated that Correctional Officers were not first responders and was not getting a discount. She said like you work at the prison? We said yes and she said oh no your not a first responder, no discount and walked away. If my kids were not hungry we would have left. Very rude... we always get the discount. Again it's fine if they don't offer it but they have in the past ... its just the way she said it and how rude she was! If she would have said it nicer I may have taken it better, especially since we order catering from there ALOT!
