The food was delicious, love to see around the beauty of the Colombian culture, great service, 100% recommended.

Long time ago a friend of us recomended Don Matias so we have been visited the restaurant since that time. Don Matias is a good example of a Colombian tradicional food, however some times it taste a little bit different, not bad, just different. Every time we came, we enjoy a lot, the food is tasty, flavored and juicy🤤🩵 The music is awesome, and costumers are enjoying, a nice reminder of Colombian roots. The owner is soft and all employees are cool, but the white chubby waitress needs to be retrained, her attitude is not a respecful costumer service. Any posición she got, it is kind of the same, dry and not warm. Please remember, we not only comunícate with our words, our body, face and gestures talk too. The way to languaging is wide and infinitive. (So, se bonita cuando mires a las personas, por cierto el fondo verde con su nombre es para tomarse fotos, así que chicas sean felices cuando las personas lo hagan) Well the food today was awesome, tasty as always. Prices are affordable and the atmosphere is great too. We were so happy to see this gem full of costumers, hope the summer goes really good on Florida, in order to improved its small bussines' economy 😊😇 Our waitress was Andrea, nice, warm and so enjoyable little girl. A venezuelian girl full of energy, beautiful attitude and respect for what she is doing. So today I am going to take 2 stars, one for the waitress ( the one I talked bout) and one for the ague' panela, they didn't have any and I love it. Definitely a place to enjoy again and get some picts! 🙌🏼🫶🏼 Bueno my people, I stoped my reviews, but I Just come back to tell you the service was amazing this time, 08/03/2024, well, the server I discribed before was super gentle and nice, she did an awesome job, she was attentive and greeting all costumers, even more beautiful, the food was delicious like always and the atmosphere super! Definitely we are Don Matias fan, but now we feel great supporting this small bussines and our colombian comunity.

Every day I pass by here and finally decided to come in and try it. I was pleasantly surprised that everything is delicious, especially the tray paisa, which is easily the best in Miami. The flavors are authentic and every bite transports me directly to Colombia. The portion is generous, perfect to satisfy hunger and enjoy a complete meal. The atmosphere of the place is cozy and the staff is very friendly, always attentive and willing to offer recommendations. The service is fast and efficient, which is appreciated in a world where we are often in a hurry. In addition, it meets the 3 B's: good, pretty and cheap. It's hard to find a place where the quality of food and experience is so high and the prices so reasonable. It is definitely a place I will return to frequently and recommend to friends and family. In short, if you are looking for a place to enjoy an authentic tray paisa in Miami, look no further. This place not only meets, but exceeds expectations. Highly recommended!

The food and service were very good, located in a very bad shopping center, it smelled bad, and there was homeless people in front.

Terrible service from the person who takes the pick-up orders, I told him I wanted a bean casserole and he gave me a paisa tray. I call her on the phone to notify her that there was an error and she tells me that she had been working at that restaurant for a year and that they have always sent the casserole like this. I am a frequent customer and I always order the casserole, and they have NEVER sent me the beans in a container of small beans before! They do that when you order the tray paisa. The worst thing is that she was so rude to hang up the phone on me, it was my favorite restaurant but with this treatment from the staff it really leaves a lot to be desired!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, especially the owner who is incompetent. A few days ago we ordered two salmon and they arrived dry, burnt and hard. I immediately called the owner and she didn't even apologize or offer to give me a discount. He simply told me to give him the salmon back. Don't go to this place. The only good thing is the rib soup, but the rest of the food is horrible and of the worst quality. The attention 0/10 since not even the owner, who is the person who should keep her customers happy, cares about her customers or the quality of the food. Additionally, they charge you a fee every time you want to pay by card, which they don't even notify you about. And they charge tips in the to go, without any consent.

Super recommended with the bites to share. The seasoning reminds me a lot of Colombia.

Had not been here in years. Did not have breakfast and was looking for a soup. I ordered the big 🐔 soup, as I was craving a good bone broth. Service was great, and I was excited when I saw the bowl. It looked great, but It was a complete let down. The broth was lacking 🐔 bone broth flavor. Seemed like they made it with chicken breat and Caldo Knorr which is a chicken stock cube. On top of that it was $12. Not worth coming back.

The place was almost empty when we were there, and still, the service took forever to be in our table. The food was in a very low level of quality. We were only there people in our table, and they brought back the bill with a 20% tip already included. We will never go back.

Después de haber trabajado en este restaurante vuelvo casi todos los días a consumir porque me encanta la comida, me encanta la atención de mis compañeras y la buena relación con mi ex jefa ya que este es un negocio familiar y me gusta como ellos se relacionan con los clientes y los empleados. Las chicas atienden super bien pero la dueña es muy mala persona, vi como trataba a una de las muchachas, definitivamente no vuelvo, además me salió un pelo en la cazuela de mariscos, no dije nada pero a ese lugar no volveré

Yesterday I dined in with my boyfriend for the first time and I believe the food could’ve been better, but my experience wasn’t that great. By the time my food came out it wasn’t hot or even warm anymore. The prices are reasonable for the amount given but my only issue is that when I received my check, the highest tip (25%) was charged without my consent.. I’m glad I found this place, so I can know to never go back. Another complaint I have is that the server didn’t have a lively attitude attending us, hence it being our first time at the restaurant.

Realmente desilusionado, pedimos dos bandeja paisa, en el cual se les pidió cambiar los frijoles por un huevo más, la respuesta fue que NO , A RAÍZ DE QUE LOS HUEVOS ESTAN CAROS, realmente no lo pude creer, . Se le pidió que ponga un huevo extra y que se cobre lo que se tenia que cobrar, el costo del HUEVO era de 175 dollar. LA VERDAD INTECOMENDABLE el lugar y la comida. Para cerrar, supuestamente la manager no se encontraba trabajando. Mi pregunta es, y si viene una inspection??

Muy buen restaurante, aunque un poco escondido. Tuvieron una excelente atención y la comida muy rica! De verdad un buen sitio para una buena comida Colombiana.

This is a nice hidden gem in Hialeah Gardens serving typical South American food. I come here twice a month because it’s close to a meeting I attend. Dishes are a mix of either Chicken, Beef, Pork and Fish accompanied with rice, red beans and all of the starches, South American style. The interior is very typical of the South America small mom and pop restaurant vibe. Clay roof designs inside and wood art hanging in the walls. No glamour, just nice enough. Service is friendly. Portions are big. Prices are very reasonable. For $30, you’ll leave happy.

Familia, la cazuela de frijoles es el plato estrella para mi del restaurante. Jamás había probado algo tan rico y de tanta variedad en un solo plato, pero cualquier cosa del menú es ganancia. Pero solo les puedo decir. Hay que probar. Ambiente chévere. Servicio excepcional. Kelly es mi favorita!!!!

My husband and I stopped by to lunch, was really good, the food very tasty and the place well maintained and super clean bathrooms. Four stars because the parking is very limited, otherwise we will be back Whalen around the area. Prices are reasonable.

Vine a desayunar con mi esposa acompañados por nuestro perro de servicio. El lugar estaba vacío y desde que entramos en la puerta nos comenzaron a acosar y preguntar por documentos del perro. Muy respetuosamente les dije que ella era de servicio y que por ley no debían preguntar por documentación… ordenamos la comida y mientras estábamos esperando se acercaron una vez más a preguntar por los documentos del perro una vez más lo cual nos hizo irnos del lugar. Terrible atención no solo con nosotros como clientes por el acoso pero también altamente ignorantes con la ley. He sido un cliente constante de este lugar por años hasta hoy.

Al fin encontre un lugar delicioso de comida colombiana, Kelly nos atendio con la mejor calidad, muy amable y servicial! Los recomiendo!!!

Mi primer vez he Don Matias Restaurante y la verdad deliciosooooo, soy adicto al chicharron asi que me pedí un chicharron, viene picadito y tostadito y acompañado de unos bienos patacones y la presentación, la porcion y el sabor muy delicioso! Conoci a la dueño Doña Angela una mujer muy amable y siempre esta ahí procurando que todos los clientes siempre se sientan bien en su restaurante! Les cuento que llevan 14 años como restaurante osea que nonestan improvisando con el sabor. Lo recomiendo a ojo cerrado si esta por Hialeah no dude en entrar y si están por cualquier lado de miami, o del mundo no dude tampoco en pegarse el viaje y les aseguro que no se van a arrepentir de su sazón, comida colombiana exquisita! Pésimo costume services pedi un ceviche y el camarón tenia gusto a agua y la salsa era agridulce los tostones estaban sueves solo lo probe le dije al server que no tenia la calidad y me dijo que no podia devolverlo solo cambiarlo decido pedir una bandeja paisa(la cual estaba buena)y a la hora de pagar nunca me descontaron el dinero por orden de la dueña y ese plato solo lo probe y lo regrese NO LO RECOMIENDO SI KIERE PASAR UN BUEN RATO
