Love the atmosphere! Coffee is not strong and doesn’t seem to be the best quality. Still is the best place in Alachua for now.

As a busy realtor, I live on caffeine most days. LOL I swung in here because it's 3 minutes around the corner from my client's potential new house and I wanted to get her a cup of coffee prior to our showing. An absolutely wonderful vibe in this place and the mocha is out of this world! 😋

When I heard about this establishment I was excited. Alachua is known for many things, good coffee was not one of them. So to have a coffee shop open in this small town that wasn't a commercial coffee chain was a delightful surprise. When I first walked in I could tell something was happening. The chill atmosphere to the unique decor. It had it all, but to the powerhouse that they wielded was none of that but there coffee. Custom recipes to a traditional latte everything was intentional and delicious. Highly recommend and when you finally decide to try the magic that is Doxa, be prepared to experience greatness

I love visiting all the coffee shops in the Gainesville/Alachua area but Doxa is always my favorite. The coffee is high quality and their seasonal menus are always a hit! The staff is friendly and knowledgable about what they serve. I recommend the honey and cinnamon cappuccino!

Been here several times, but they were closed today due to Debbie. I decided to try out The Kookaburra down the street in Research Park since they were the closest coffee shop open. What ended up being a visit by chance turned into me finding my new home. Thanks Doxa for the memories

Customer service was non-existant and after over one year of weekly meeting on Tuesdays with a group of 5 or 6 ladies, my wife and her friends have had enough of the discriminatory service and now go out of their way to meet in Gainesville even though they live in Alachua.

Local ingredients including creamy delicious whole milk :) want and inviting staff. Always stop here on one of my trips ❤️

Too bad, I really liked this place but the service and coffee today really disappointed me. I ordered a vanilla latte w/oat milk as usual but the coffee this time tasted extremely sweet like corn syrup and I reached to to the girl that usually is in charge and she refused to exchange me the coffee even that I really did not like the flavor. It was extremely sweet! in other words, deal with it! She told me to get another one and pay for it. Where is the customer skills and customer satisfaction? I understand this is a small coffee place but if you don't have good service how will you survive, how is people going to support you? It's not that the coffee is cheap at Doxa. I paid $7.76 for a coffee, that I can't drink. I really don't think this is fair to the consumer. The business prefer to lose a customer than lose $7. I am a business owner and as a business owner, customer satisfaction should be number 1. I really feel disappointed because I really liked their coffee and the ambience and I love to support locals instead of a big fish like Starbucks. But it is very unfair that I have to deal with a coffee that it is not to my likings and no one would be able to even drink. I wish she would have tried the flavor of the coffee so she could understand how sweet it was. Not sure if it was more of a racist issue than a customer service issue but let me think it was just poor customer service. I though this coffee place was related to the church. If it is, it's a very bad impression. So you are a paying customer and you just purchase something that was made not to your liking and you are supposed to deal with it or buy a new one like the server told me? really????? is that how the food industry is managed?

Went here around June 2023. Great place to get some work done as someone who was doing some remote work and photo editing. The tables have plenty of outlets for your devices as seen in the pic I attached. The staff is friendly and the coffee is quite good. The environment also has different spots to work, depending on what you are looking for. Like bar style seating, more 1 on 1 tables, and large group center tables with comfy seating in a little nook area up the stairs.

DOXA is located in a shopping center next to a church. The ambience is top notch. I like the candles on each table. I also love the design of the shop, which is industrial and modern. Spiral staircase is a nice touch with a cool upper seating area. Staff is friendly and helpful and the menu is diverse and full of options. The pricing is probably accurate due to being local and natural. We tried the lavender infused honey latte which was not too sweet with a fantastic coffee flavor. We asked for extra hot, but it was not, which was the only downside. Overall it’s a beautiful shop with quality coffee, a good menu, friendly staff and a gorgeous design.

We stopped here briefly while on a road trip for a pick me up. We were just under the wire for closing time, but the barista kindly made our drinks and let us use the restroom past closing. Clean, airy atmosphere. Excellent latte and matcha latte!

An aesthetically pleasing and charming coffee shop on 441 close to downtown Alachua. Great for meetups with friends, or doing some work/meetings over a cuppa. Overall ambience is great, service was good but found the prices for coffee a little on the steep side related to the size offered. Also they do not carry any cane sugar as a sweetener option, which was a little off-putting for some people I was with...

Coffee was absolutely superb! Some of the best espresso and cold brew. Very nice space, a perfect pit stop if you’re headed north from Orlando. Barista was very kind and knowledgeable of coffee offerings.

Had a hot chocolate and plain bagel toasted with cream cheese. Atmosphere is great and was able to sit and chat with a friend for a couple hours without feeling like we were over staying our welcome. Batista very friendly and even knowledgeable about local diary. Very pleasant experience .

Their syrups are house made, which is a treat. They feature crafts and gourmet treats from several area artisans and the space is open, bright and inviting for those dining in. Many people clearly come here to work, it seemed like they have a solid group of regulars. There is ample seating in the loft space and outside as well. If you are a pour over fan, they offer that too. Will be back!

The campfire mocha was just as delicious as all the other drinks I’ve had here! 10/10 recommend Doxa as your coffee shop of choice! Great atmosphere with great coffee and friendly staff!

Revisiting my initial Doxa coffee review that had 8/10: 1/1 for customer service, 3/4 for environment, and 4/5 for coffee. With more visits I'm changing my review to 9/10, with an additional point to coffee, making it 5/5. The Residents Coffee I had was simply off the charts. Every. Single. Sip. had me going nuts. Also, without adding points, I'd like to mention that the customer service is exceptional, even better than initially thought: very knowledgeable and friendly. Only missing one point (and its not their fault), but the space, while used very well, is still simply a box. If they changed their location to something homey it would be a perfect coffee shop!

What a hidden gem! I was on a workation trip and dropped in here to just use their Wifi, but I had the best pumpkin spice latte and salmon toast ever. They must have really figured out their coffee and plating. It was such a delight running into this place in the middle of nowhere.

I had a lot of expectations based on various feedback but it was disappointing The coffee is very mediocre ( try opus instead ) through the food was flavorful I am giving it a three rating because of the poor quality of the coffee Also the customer service was not so great My wife was asked to pay extra for steamed milk! Some positives - great setup for a morning relaxation with the various options of toasts. There is a lot of parking and outside seating

Absolutely love this place the coffee is great. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their product. The atmosphere is one that cannot be beat. Always on point with their seasonal flavors! Love spending time here and studying or eating or just hanging out and grabbing coffee with a friend perfect atmosphere for any of the above love my Doxa coffee co.

Who can imagin the most delicious coffee and waffles are in this small town. Every time I come back from a business trip, I must visit this favorite coffee shop. Love it sooooo much! This coffee shop is filled with my various wonderful memories.

Surpringly cool coffee shop for the location. The coffee was good, and the vibes were great. There were quite a few people there for the middle of a weekday, it everyone was quiet and respectful. It seemed like the baristas knew a few regulars. Great place to work or study.

Alachua, FL. While on the 75 this was a quick stop that turned into a restful interval. Doxa has an impressive reputation for its baristas and craft coffee but the ambiance is what captivated us, especially the upstairs part with its seating areas. Doxa’s main daily fans are college-age and thirty-something’s dressed in hoodies and jeans studying, working remotely , or hanging out. I got the craft tea which was tea brewed by the baristas: today’s choice was a delicious flower blend. My husband got the Turmeric Latte. If we lived here we’d probably be by every week.

Great little coffee shop! We stopped by on our road trip out of Florida and it was 10/10! Coffee was great and the food looked amazing I wish we got the ricotta toast the people next to us got! Unique and flavorful coffee and syrups and very friendly staff!

$10 small latte "1 size only for latte" last time visiting this place. I guess charging huge amounts for a tiny coffee makes it "specialty". Too much 🤔 I suggest driving just up the road a mile and go to Ellianos ☕

Lovely coffee shop. Bright and uplifting ambiance. I split the panini (delicious and perfectly grilled) and ricotta toast (fantastic blend of flavors) with my partner. Might be the best London Fog I’ve drank anywhere. Ever. As a fan of the drink, I’ve tried it dozens of places. Doxa’s blend is lavender heavy, which I prefer. The merch they have (greeting cards, journals, chocolate, candles and coffee) is a curated selection featuring a few local small businesses’ products. Lots of love and care put into this spot! I’ll be back many times while I’m visiting.

Delicious latte, ridiculous price. I was stunned when I paid $7 ($1) tip for a 12 ounce cup coffee. Absurd. The only saving grace was that it was delicious. Everything in there is overpriced.
