I stopped in, midday, and ate in-house.. Was my first time there, as I am new to the NE. I ordered sesame chicken and crab rangoon, witj pork froed rice.. The owners were nice and greeted me warmly.. They sat me down with a bowl of fried noodles and duck sauce to start. A nice touch, as I was starving! The food came out quickly and was piping hot. It looked beautiful and tasted delicious. I thought I had ordered the lunch combo, but the check didn't reflect as much. I didn't argue the fact, because the food was worth it. It had been a lonng time since I last had Chinese, and I will be recommending this place and be back for more. The only part of the experience that lacked was the decor, as it could've used a few new touches. But all in all, we'll done!

Everything I have ordered from here has been delicious and fresh. Definitely will go back and recommend you try it. You won't be disappointed.

The best Chinese food in Northeast Philly. Standard American Chinese food menu. Easy parking and takeout or eat in, although it appears most people get delivery or takeout. Friendly staff, excellent English.

This place WAS our regular spot for Chinese. Not anymore. We ordered tofu and got PORK. We are vegan. So I call to try and see what we can do to fix it and the lady is tryna say she heard pork, but then looks at our history and says we don’t ever order pork, my sister was heaving in disgust. She was more focused on trying to place the blame somewhere and when I tried to fix it she said she DOESNT do refunds and if we wanted to exchange we’d have to pay $2 MORE. So basically our options was either no refund or pay her more …. She says we were both in wrong but if that’s what you say you can’t call it even and just exchange the food!? It’s not gonna get eaten. Service was HORRIBLE, she was talking over me the entire time. They lost a customer for good. Learn better customer service. We don’t eat pork period. I never said pork. It’s your job to fix it! Not extort us for more on account of a mistake.

We order from Dragon Phoenix about two times a month and it's always strictly delivery. The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable, and the delivery is always quick. They have never gotten our order wrong. I appreciate that they take cards in addition to cash as well.

I dont know what happen to the food but last time I ordered was not as good as like a year ago. Fried rice was bad and no meat at all as you can see in the picture. Boneless ribs was dry and hard so that means is old. Service is awesome not going to lie but you guys have to fix the rice at least.

We LOVE Dragon Phoenix House. They always take excellent care of us especially since we order on the late-night. Our driver always calls us right before arrival which is so appreciated! The food is always perfect, everything exactly as requested, hot and fresh. Idk what these other reviews be talking about but they are for sure the BEST local spot for food around. And them vegetable dumplings are soooo, sooo good. We all fight over the last ones lol! My girl wasn't feeling too good and your wonton soup really made her feel so much better so we are really grateful for you guys! Much love ❤️

I've been meaning to rate this restaurant because they are excellent. The BEST local Chinese by far! I haven't had one thing off the menu that hasn't been delicious and super hot on arrival. Staff is always friendly and provides great service when ordering and during delivery. Delivery staff always calls before they arrive, which we really appreciate since we're on a busy street and upstairs most of the time when they arrive. We especially LOVE LOVE LOVE the Spring Rolls, Shrimp Rolls, Shrimp Lo Mein, General Tso's and last night I ordered the Fried Vegetable Dumplings for the first time and they were spectacular, I mean so so good! Slightly well done which made them extra tasty. The vegetable contents was WAY BETTER than any meat dumplings IMO. They are for sure a permanent order item for us. We fought over the last two lol. Again, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Give them a try, you WON'T REGRET IT and you definitely will become a forever customer as we are.

Do not ever order anything to the phone if the order is $52 they charge 65 and she told me that she didn’t know what happened. She didn’t wanna give me back the refund if you go to Chinese restaurant go in person do not order through the phone with debit card.

I ordered the general tso’s tofu. It was extremely mushy and squishy. The container was half filled of the sauce, which made it much mushier. It honestly felt like I was eating food that was pre-chewed. I don’t recommend.

I ordered from here 4 the first and last time, stuff was missing an order was a mess. I usually get 2 meals out of a lunch special, older and don't eat much. The portion sizes r so small to what other places give u. We got 5 lunch specials,(one was missing) nobody was the least impressed with their order. They didn't give crispy noodles with soups, almost no condiments on a50+$order. I called the restaurant to complain about the missing items, they blamed the delivery service, so nothing was done to correct the problem. I read all the bad reviews but still took a chance, boy was I wrong. I'll take the missing items up with my cc an dispute the charges. Over priced small portions, poor customer service an missing items they denied anything was wrong. Do yourself a favor eat somewhere else.

Hair in my food, black small hair. I have blonde hair and the owner tried to say it was mine. I didnt eat my entire meal and she said i’ll take $2 off because its a small hair. Then tried to say everytime i come I don’t eat all my food anyway.. What does that have to do with anything when i pay?? Im here all the time and this woman has the worst customer service ever. She literally argues and screams at people. And takes forever getting to the table. You wont see her for 15minutes. After her not dealing with this situation appropriately I won’t be returning.

I got a chicken wing platter with cheese fries, chicken was burnt and the cheese on the cheese fries tasted weird, my boyfriend got the garlic beef and the sauce was terrible, my egg roll was ok, I think that they need to change their oil or something 😕😕😕

I ordered through Seamless. Second time ordering, first time food was decent. Decided to give it another chance. Eating my food when I feel something weird it was one hair. I felt disgusted but I thought it was mine so I keep eating, I noticed something weird again there’s a second hair. This time I turned the light on and it was a very long hair (I have short hair and I live by myself). That was it for me, I investigated the food and I discovered ANOTHER damn hair!! 33333 hairs on my food. That’s so disgusting. I called the restaurant and an old lady very rude btw asked me to send pictures of what I was claiming which I did. I sent the pics and the messages were marked read but no one answered my texts. I contacted Seamless and received full refund. I was still upset so I called the restaurant again and the old lady was yelling at me telling me that it was impossible, that I put the hair in my own food. I hung up and decided to leave this review instead. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS DISGUSTING PLACE. Save your money!!

Do you see all these bad reviews? You’ve been warned!! They do not care about their customers. Not only is their food below average they have the customer service to match it. I order a simple cheese fries and chicken wings and even that tasted awful ! second time i ordered here to give it a second shot but man !!! even the cheese didn’t even tasted like cheese, it was sour and old tasting. burnt chicken wings aswell ! Disappointed

Not going to lie… very disappointed: this used to be the best place to get Chinese food in the NE. Now… it’s sloppy and over priced. $63 for 2 combinations platters with old egg rolls , a two liter FLAT soda, Lg bourbon chicken & a large veggie rice. That’s crazy! Must have charged us $20 for delivery too!

These people are thieves, how do you charge almost $20 for a platter of Chicken and Broccoli and 2 shrimp rolls. the food was nasty and the shrimp rolls were burnt and tasted old. I order for this place a month ago I kind of like it they have the rising the chicken they were very nice b u t. The second time I went to pick up my order I have who are those of the chicken fried rice I thought it would be good when I brought it home it was very greasy I eat very little and then I throw it in trash very disappointed $20 two orders of the chicken fried rice too much money okay I will never go back there again but I noticed the lady is very friendly and her husband to I hope they can make the rice less greasy and more tasteful

I had my first date here almost 20 years ago The food was delicious. Just stopped back here for the first time in about 8 years and it's just as delicious as it was the first time I was there. Service is always great with a smile.

Their food is always fresh. However I only gave 4 stars because of their fried wings. They've definitely missed the mark on their chicken wings. They do not even LOOK appetizing and taste awful. Everything else we've tried has been delicious. Favorite: General Tso chicken.

I live in the area however I wanted to try a different Chinese restaurant. I ordered the shrimp egg foo young. My sister ordered shrimp and broccoli garlic sauce, 2 shrimp rolls. Somehow our total was $26. Wow. Anyway, the white rice was disgusting, it resemble the taste of caroline white rice. It certainly was not jasmine white rice. I ask for cabbage in the shrimp egg foo young and the restaurant charged me $1 to add the cabbage and another charge of $1 to not add onions. I was not satisfied with that. Overall a disappointing experience, I would never go back nor recommend anyone. Also the food packaging was a disgrace. Instead of putting the egg foo young in a sealed container they put it in the Chinese fold out container that the rice belongs in. It was a gravy mess.

I’m so surprised at the negative reviews on here. I ordered off DoorDash and loved everything, especially the vegetable lo mein. Easily the best I’ve ever had! I also ordered chicken and broccoli and chicken noodle soup. Will definitely be ordering from here again soon.

I usually don't do reviews HOWEVER, I noticed a few of the most current reviews are stating that the food wasn't good nor the portions sufficient. I HAD AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE HERE! I ordered via GRUBHUB and the food even came 30 minutes EARLY then the estimate. I ordered beef and broccoli over white rice and the portions were huge. The food quality WAS EXCELLENT! I even had enough food for 3 entire meals! The won-ton soup was PHENOMENAL and I eat Chinese food all the time and this was one of the BEST!!! I will DEFINITELY be ordering from here again!!!

Ordered from this place because our usual was closed. General Tso was too saucy and it only came with one small broccoli floret. Boneless spare ribs had no extra sauce, but the taste was okay. Pizza roll was good. The food showed up a bit cold, even though I don’t live far away. Price range was fair. They respected the no-contact request (due to COVID-19), which was a plus considering other places are ignoring the request. Overall a good option. Not my #1 choice but I’m not disappointed that I tried it.
