Always call first, the hours are more of a guideline then a promise. Fantastic Eastern European cuisine made the way your Grandma would cook it. But just like Grandma’s, call first, or may you just be looking through the window instead of eating.

Not sure what happened. We went to eat at the Dvin restaurant and the whole restaurant was closed. Construction stuff everywhere. No info about there plans or a timeline.

This place is a gem of a place. A bit pricey but if you can control yourself it can be affordable. Just not for us, we go all out.

Not sure if it's the restaurant or Google at fault here. It stated restaurant was open. Drove there half an hour and it's closed, very disappointed.

Absolutely delicious! The food was amazing. Even my picky stepfather raved about the beef stroganoff and it's unique flavors. We all got something different and liked it. The hummus was simple, and yet some of the best I've ever had. The owner invited us into the restaurant, and she was very hospitable. The restaurant itself is not a marvel, but that's the charm of this place. It's comfy, friendly and delicious. Спасибо!

Amazing food. I will absolutely be eating here on a regular basis. The varenicky, the goulash, the baklava! Omg! My kiddos like the chicken kiev. The cabbage rolls are unbelievable! I mean I could seriously feast here every single day.

Should be one of the top 10 family run restaurant's in St. Louis! The food is top of the line. I have had 4 of the main items on the menu now and have LOVED each one. We usually get the Blintz entree as an appetizer, then get another entree as my main meal. Then for desert, the Meringue Cake is to die for! We will definitely be returning very often. :)

Small restaurant tucked on the main street of Webster Groves that serves Russian food. The owner stays open as long as she has customers so there aren't set hours. The food was flavorful and filling, the portions just right. I had chicken on a skewer while my husband had the goulash. The chicken was tender and not overdone. My husband said the goulash was filling and tasted great. The night we went there was only one person working so the service was a little slow. But it's a relaxing atmosphere and is quiet so it's easy to have a conversation.

A friend and I had dinner at Dvin on 3.6.15. The atmosphere is very personal and comfortable. There are very few employees so it does take a little time to get your food, but the wait is worth it. We were able to sit, talk, and enjoy a wonderful appetizer (Armenian Hummus - highly recommend it :). When our food arrived it was excellent. I had the Ukranian Goulash and my friend had the Varenicky. If someone is looking for an intimate dining experience with great food and the opportunity to relax Dvin is a great place to find it!

To start, this place is very difficult to find. There are lace curtains and house plants in the window with a very concealed sign and we passed by it several times before we actually found it. The restaurant is very small with limited seating which made it cumbersome for our group of 12. The restaurant is run by a mother/daughter and the night we visited the daughter wasn't there which made it difficult for the mother to take orders and also cook the food not only for our group but the other 2 tables of guests. Someone from our group ended up taking everyone's order and helping the mother serve the food. She was very grateful for the help as you could tell she was overwhelmed. They were out of several entrees so the choices were quite limited. This definitely wasn't a traditional restaurant experience but the food was still very good despite the lack of service. It is also a BYOB establishment and I would recommend you call ahead to make a reservation to be sure there will be seating. Like I said, a lot to be desired for the service but the food was still excellent.

We love this long standing 'hole-in-the-wall' spot in the heart of Webster Groves. The Eastern European/Russian offerings are very good, and eating here is a bit like "dropping in on mom." Not fancy, just good food and friendly service. (And a good value). The only issue: mom doesn't always cook for you according to the 'official' hours, so call ahead to make sure they are open.

This normally don't write reviews on restaurants but I had to for this place. Looks like a hole in the wall but this must be the most authentic restaurant that combines both Armenian, Greek, an Russian food. The workers are more than pleasant. The place is small but you can tell its one of those spots that tripe make quality meals. The deserts felt like I was in Eastern Europe.. Scratch that it was better

My family has lives in Webster for years and I have driven by this place hundreds of times. I happened to drive by a few month's ago on a Friday and finally stopped in for dinner. When you open the door it feels like you are sitting in this family's living room. The restaurant is tiny and you can hear and smell all of the wonderful things back in the kitchen. The menu is a mix of eastern european, greek, and other similar foods and was delicious. I can't remember what I had but I did lick the plate clean; it was honestly that good. If you get the chance I would highly reccomened stopping by for a meal, you won't regret it!

I've looked at this place for years but never gone in, finally did when we were looking for something new. Food and service are fabulous but it truly is a hole in the wall. We were the only people there, the owner looked startled when we came in but quickly had us yummy food.

EXCELLENT cuisine, interesting menu choices: Hungarian, Russian, Armenian... Beautifully prepared, if it's available, which it's often not. More often than not, the servers are unfriendly and make you feel unwelcome, but I will keep dining here because the food is incredible. When they have it.

If u like dips u should try homemade Armenian dip ( amazing kick of garlic and herbs) or Russian style eggplant dip. Best food in st Louis!

If you love home cooking eastern european style, you will love Dvin. It is BYPB so feel free to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy. Dolma is great with mild spicy beef rolled in grape leaves, Chicken Kiev, Salmon Bliny with delicately light crepes,Stuffed Peepers, Goulash, Fish Soup, Pork Tenderloin, Galoubsy, and terrific deserts are made by the owner, Lydia, with love and care. Don't miss the Plum Cake. Call ahead to be sure they are open on the night you wish to visit.

The prime definition of a hole in the wall.. The floral paper napkins and mix mash of dishes adds to the atmosphere as you watch your money help a local businesswoman. Excellent service and FANTASTIC food. Definitely the best stuffed pepper I've ever had (sorry Mom)!

I have the opportunity to visit my hometown, St. Louis, perhaps once or twice a year for a day or two. Since discovering Dvin, through friends who live in Webster Groves, I always try and include it in my visits. A week ago I had that opportunity again and I felt compelled to write this review, as I cannot think of another restaurant that is as special as Dvin in terms of interesting cuisine, homestyle atmosphere and price. A wonderful selection of what they bill as "Russian, Ukrainian, Armenians...and more", every dish was simply outstanding. Who would have throught of Gyro meat as an appetiser? It was crisply and marinated perfectly. Russian stuffed chicken, Armenian eggplant...we ended up eating more dishes than any stomach needed...just to sample the distinctive tastes. The prices range from $7.95 to around $13,00 for entrees, certainly a modest price range. Our server was Natasha, who was never without a smile, moving from one table to another (the restaurant only has around 20 seats) and describing the dishes, which only made us want to order more. For dessert, we ordered one to share, as we were stuffed and simply wanted to see how special they could make a dessert, after being so impressed by appetisers and the entrees. Natasha surprised us with a second dessert...and again, showed the Dvin is in a category of its own. Natasha's mother, Lidiya, is out of sight, staying in the kitchen cooking. Between the two of them...they are Dvin. With the interiors, you feel that you are eating in their home with the friendliest of hospitality. The restaurant seems relatively undiscovered, which is a surprise, but perhpas this special place and the novelty of being so small and special is what makes it one of the best places to eat in St. Louis. Don't miss the opportunity to eat there, but don't tell too many people on the same night...as you will not want to see Dvin lose its special character. Congratulations to Natasha and Lidiya.

Strange little (very) restaurant - about 10 tables. One waitress, one cook and the place was full. Food choices are Russian, Greek and Armenian with lots of off menu specials. What's available seems to be what the cook felt like making that day. Everything we had tasted fantastic. Prices are incredibly low. The desserts were not the standard restaurant offerings. Mango souffle pie, lemon mascarpone sponge cake. Delicious! We will definitely return.
