Check out the view! The wine was just as mindblowing. The patio was nice and shady, and stayed cool too, even with temps in the 90's. The owner, Steve, chatted with us about the wine and his life, and we wrapped up with a spontaneous barrell tasting! All in all, an AWESOME experience!

1st stop on our wine tour was Ecluse Wines. Established in 1996, they've grown into a lovely winery estate that has a robust choice of wine varietals to choose from. My favorite was their Zinfandel and a Cab/Malbec blend. They were very generous with their tastings, with a few off menu items, or library wines, to taste. The kicker for me was the 18 month aged tapped barrel tasting of one of their wines. This gave you a taste of how the wine is maturing in the barrel and the direction the wine is going in its fermentation! Wow all the way around. I recommend you go for a tasting, as I believe its a great experience. In closing, you'll find the estate is gorgeous, with its wide and lustrous rolling hills of vines. The staff is well versed in wines and the owner is a great story teller. Check them out! Carmen approved.

We have belonged to Ecluse a few years now. Membership at other wineries has come and gone, but Ecluse always remains. Their wine is supurb and the staff is wonderful. Please experience this winery. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely winery and delicious wines, particularly the reds. Incredible views of the vineyards with multiple vistas. The owner and folks working there are super duper friendly and informative. The tasting room is spacious and very cool, which should provide some relief from the heat if you're visiting in the summer. The winery does appear to be dog friendly, with a party showing up with 3 dogs.

Oh if you find yourself in Paso Robles you really must stop at Ecluse Winery. Everything about this winery is amazing. Loved their wines and the staff is amazing. We brought our own picnic and had it on their patio in the back, just beautiful.

If you like hearty red wines and boutique wineries you’ll love Ecluse. Our hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable. She introduced us to some great Zin and blends. We’re sure to return on our next visit to Paso

We visited today and the staff and owner (Steve) where very friendly, conversational, inviting and informative about the wines. The wine purchase offset the tasting fee and we were pleasantly surprised with the high quality from this small winery. Dog friendly and the staff was awesome with treats and water for our furry family member. Highly recommend to include in your tour of Paso wineries. P.S. Steve played under John Wooden if your a basketball fan and has great stories.

Excellent wines & nice that wine club shipment is only once a year. Fantastic 360° views. The Terrace is great for events, tasting & having lunch.

Wow wow wow! The wine was good & the people were even better!! Steve & Morgan were SO NICE and even offered to help us with our current situation (broke down & stuck in town for a bit). Wine was great, the view was great, and the staff was AWESOME. Had such a great time here and made some friends! ❤️ Oh and they are super pet friendly. We brought our cat in a backpack and everyone wanted to meet her. Such a great place!

One of the best wineries I’ve been to in Paso Robles. Every wine we tasted was delicious, and every member of staff went out of their way to make us (and our dogs!) feel welcome. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Ecluse was absolutely phenomenal! We were able to have a tasting with Anthony, the winemaker, and he made our experience wonderful. Plus, all of his wines were amazing too. While all of the wine was impressive, their 2018 Improv (red blend) was absolutely outstanding. We can't wait to go back!

Had a wonderful time visiting. The view off the back patio was beautiful. Had the opportunity to have a conversation with the owner who was great to speak to. Reds were great, particularly enjoyed the 2018 Zinfandel and 2018 Syrah. It was my birthday and was treated particularly well. Looking forward to our next visit.

Best winery in Paso hands down. They don’t shove their marketing down your throat because they don’t need to. The owner is on site and will have a conversation with you as if he has nowhere else in the world he needs to be, which obviously he does because he’s running a small, family-owned business. We learned so much from him and enjoyed the wines very much. No wonder our neighbors have been talking this place up for years.

This is the best wine experience I’ve ever had. Theresa and owner Steve spent lots of time with me. Great story with exceptional, award winning wines. Beautiful views for miles from the patio, even in early March. I rated every tasting at 5 stars and joined the wine club. You must visit this small, family owned winery when in Paso.

Awesome Boutique Winery. Steve and Pam Lock have created a small fun winery close to town you need to see. All their wines are a cut above and priced right. The tasting room is inside the barrel room. But a pleasant breezy tasting patio is also available if going inside makes you nervous in these Covid-19 times.

So many different delicious wines. Each tasting pour was delicious. I would highly recommend!

So glad we found this hidden gem! They have about 8 barrels set up as tasting tables and the owner comes around serving tastings and telling you about the family vineyard. They also provide a few tastings directly from the barrel, young wines not yet bottled. The hospitality and the great wines make this place worth the stop. There wines are only available at the property and through their wine club.

An absolutely amazing winery. Beautiful outdoor space. Exceptional staff with absolute knowledge on their products and an amazing atmosphere!

Small and uncommercial. All the wines were wonderful; no tasting fee; very informative staff. GPS takes you down about 1.5 miles of a dirt road but it's maintained so not a problem. Absolutely worth a visit. Their cab, zin and port are my favorites. We'll be back.

We've been a wine club member for years and their wine is absolutely fabulous. Pam and Steve and the staff are extremely nice and welcoming. If you haven't visited their winery, make it a must go to in Paso!

A modest sized winery in a bucolic setting which offers a selection of superb, award-winning wines. After two days tasting in Paso, the winner is: ECLUSE, hands down. Great people, very casual, very generous (with barrel tasting).. got to see them work the grapes in the tanks too.. The wine here is unreal and compares to the best wines in California.

Continues to be one of my favorites in Paso Robles and one of the few that I'll repeat. Always friendly service and a very low key tasting room experience. Makes it a real charming find. They have a great viognier and GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre). Those are my favorites but they have a lot more. Today they had a barrel tasting of a Merlot set to bottle in the next year. Very tasty. Will be back soon.

We recommend Ecluse to people visiting Paso Robles Wine Country. It is the only winery that offers barrel tasting and insight into understanding the role and importance of selecting the right barrels. We tasted the distinct difference imparted by the French oak barrel versus the Hungarian oak barrel. Awesome education. Wonderful wine. We purchased 2 cases.

One of my favorite wineries in Paso for the great wines and excellent staff. We visited with our extremely shy dog and a 5 month old baby, and both were welcomed so warmly outside the entrance (dogs can go into the tasting room). The barrel tasting comparing different types of oak was very fun. We enjoyed our visit very much and would recommend this winery especially to those wine tasting with their furbabies.

We had a great time. Maddie was fantastic and we were able to meet and talk to Steve. Fun and very good wine.

We visited about 7 wineries on our Paso wine tour. Ecluse was definitely the most personal experience. Someone took us through each of the wines, gave us a little taster of 2 of the future wines that are currently stull aging. Explained to us the effect the difference the types of wood of the barrel makes on the wine, etc etc. The wine itself was lovely. Not the best we tasted of the day, but there was a nice range of prices which helped and best of all wine tasting was FREE!! I would actually give this a 4.5 star as the wine wasnt the best of the day, but the experience was well worth the drive.

I love this place. I've been here twice, the people are so happy to see you. They treat you like family. I love their wine. Their blends are so delicious.
