This place is so good! They know how to smoke their meat - and their servings are generous. It is family-run and they care. Give them a try.

We appreciate having an option in Valley Center where we can get a gluten free lunch. We haven't even tried their GF waffles because my son fell in love with their loaded nachos the first time he tasted them, and never tried anything else. I've had their loaded baked potato and it's delicious. If you want it GF you need to say so, so they don't put crispy onions on it. I thought they overdid the cheese sauce on mine, but that's my personal taste. We would go more often if it didn't cost so much, but I understand it's a small restaurant with probably a lot of overhead. They've been very sympathetic with my efforts to spend less (I'll split a giant plate of nachos with my son) and occasionally even given me more drinks than I ordered so we didn't have to share.

If you complete the scavenger hunt, you get a sweet treat as the reward for completing the scavenger hunt correctly. Very cute place! Service was great, super friendly! Pulled pork nachos is my absolute favorite, although I should try some of the other items but I really like the nachos and the serving size is enough for 2-3 people. Everyone needs to go and try out the pulled pork nachos (I get the pulled pork without the bbq sauce).

When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and friendly faces. The décor makes you feel like you are eating with family. The food is phenomenal. I would recommend everything on the menu, it is all amazing.

When I stopped in, they were super busy. Ii took quite a while to order, but it was understandable considering how busy they were. The owner and her son run the place and are both very nice and were apologetic it took so long, but I feel everyone there understood. When I did get my food, it was hot and super good! I ordered an extra sandwich for dinner and a dessert as well. I had to reheat the sandwich after it had been in the refrigerator for several hours and I have to say it was delicious and as good as if it was fresh. I forget what exactly the dessert was called but it was oreo/whip cream topped cinnamon roll I believe and it was the most delicious thing I've eaten in some time and it had set on my counter for hours! The roll was super soft like a cloud and the flavors just exploded in my mouth! Unfortunately, due to the heavy business they were having they were out of some of their usual menu items, but this just gives me one more reason to visit again. I highly recommend this place 👌

I love the unique and fun atmosphere and decorations at E&J's! You get to sit at your own unique table and they have varying sizes of tables depending on the size of your party. The staff is incredibly friendly and is very good about talking with and interacting with their customers! The food is delicious - try the Mac Cup with pulled pork and you won't be disappointed! E&J's is a cute, local eatery, so be sure to stop by and shop local!

If you haven’t tried this place, you should! The people are so nice and everything tastes so good! Highly recommended the Lasagna Special! The side salad is unlike anything I’ve tried!

If you haven’t been, GO RIGHT NOW. Was driving by and saw the Mac cup on the window. I just happened to be craving Mac and cheese and decided to turn around and give it a try for a late lunch. I ended up getting the Mac cup with shredded beef to go. Let me tell you, it was SO DELICIOUS. Barbecue had great flavor, and that is coming from someone who typically isn’t a barbecue fan. The place was pretty quiet when I walked in which it allowed me to be able to talk to the owner, Erica, and the cashier. Both were absolutely wonderful, friendly, and told me about their food truck. The place itself is adorable with a comfy atmosphere, plus it looks like they were selling local crafters items! Ultimately, the food was scrumptious, but the interaction with the owner and cashier sold me on the place. I will definitely be going back to try more, and adding the white sauce on top of my Mac cup next time (per their suggestion)!

Went here for dinner with my parents. Really cool, local place in an old building in downtown Valley Center. Friendly staff. The food was absolutely fantastic. Unique flavors and combinations and the smoked pork was extremely tender with outstanding flavor. The hot barbecue sauce was great as well. I’d come here once a week or more if I lived close by. Very quick and attentive service too. Well worth the drive from wherever you’re coming from.

Made my annual pilgrimage home and stopped in for a taste of the stationary version of Snack Shack. Service with a smile and a touch of sass. Food is super yum. Adding this gem to my list of 'must visit' while here. Go get ya some.

A wonderful place with a unique menu. With the meat choices being from the smoker and the carbs from the waffle iron, this was a great surprise. Quite a few Mac cups to choose from as well.

Had lunch here for the first time spent 10$ on Nachos and a bottle of water, Erica is kind and makes her snack shack feel welcoming and makes you feel at home the nachos felt luxurious compared to other places that sell them 100/10 rating love this place!!!! ❤️
