Abajeno burrito is HUGE! and the best in town!

Great food love the Pozole but my only problem is that I don't think the cooks know what a taquito is Everytime I ordered it I get a taco

I remember the dark-skinned Secury... Very good people 😂 I worked there in 2003 and the owners were very good people. The daughter helped me a lot in my learning. Not what it used to be at all. Smaller portions and higher prices. And you have to go and get your food when they call your name. Indoor walk through. Not drive through, walk through, and hope you don't drop your order of $78.00 you just paid for your family of 3. Fuera! Out! Let's go somewhere else.

Lots of space to sit, food is ok. Definitely can grab a quick meal here, tacos, burritos and quesadillas are some of the options.

This review is meant for the individual that is looking for a great Mexican cuisine and uses the ‘top rated’ filter like I did, this place isn’t it, sorry… I could only guess why this place is so high rated because my family of 6 with individual taste felt the food was only decent in quality and flavor. I had the beef enchiladas plate: beans were yummy though. My Tía’s had the chile relleno and thought it was watery. My mom had carnitas tacos and it lacked flavor. My sister had the flautas/taquitos and it had no flavor and had to douse it with their salsa. I believe people who rated this higher than 3 stars is probably because it’s their idea of comfort food and familiar to the style + taste. Good thing was they have mexican coke in glass bottles. If you like a full plate of food and a hefty amount of meat in your dish, you might like it here but just bring your own salsa and flavoring. There are definitely better Mexican restaurants in LA.

Traditional Mexican food and I like yummy food

Lester and the manager are sweet people. Kindness shines through. Food was delicious but we will be back because of the customer service more than anything. Horchata was perfect. Carnitas burrito was yummy. Kids love their bean and cheese burritos. Will be back. This restaurant has been a staple of Culver City since I was a kid.

The food is always full of flavor here, sadly over the years they’ve been getting greedy. The prices went up but the portions went down along with service. I asked for lots of extra sauce and the lady gave me a tiny cup with the comment “I’ll have to charge you if you want more” next time just charge and give what the customer asked for. If I couldn’t afford it I would not ask for it.

After all these years it is still a very good restaurant. The food is excellent

I've been going to this place for over 30 years. Unfortunately the service has gone down a steep and rapid hill so don't expect good service or atmosphere but go for the food. It is the best Mexican food in town.

I been coming here for over 20+ years and they never disappoint me. The food is excellent its always a must for me to come here when I'm in the West Los Angeles/ Culver City area. By far one of the best Mexican food establishments in The Los Angeles County. The Super Tostada de lengua and Nachos de asada are delicious!!!!!

Working in the area so called in order for lunch. 4 burritos, 58 dollars! Now ok i get, there are 15 dollar burritos that are worth every bite, but not here! Mostly rice and beans burrito that was barely heated. The locals must support and keep this place running beacuse when you get service like i got, you are a one and done consumer.

Food is bad. Menudo sucks burritos are not that good meat too s over cooked tostada is not even hard shell I asked for one and the skimmed me on the creamy guacamole I asked for some and they said I had ate it already probably the worst Mexican food I had even the Jamaica is bad only thing good are the glass bottle cokes worst customer service I ever had too my family and I will never be coming back again save yourself your time and a bad experience and eat elsewhere

My family and love this place. It’s one of a kind. We have been enjoying the food (tacos de carnitas) since before it was a formal restaurant. Now we bring visiting relatives and friends.

I used to come to this place a lot as a kid, and they never packed the food to-go, but now they do... which is kind of disappointing. The food is still amazing but there is kind of a fast and annoyed atmosphere amongst the workers and staff.

I brought my family to the restaurant, and I was highly disappointed that the food was served on plastic and prepared to go regardless if you are eating on the place. Prices increased from the last time I ate here, so I don't see why the quality of service decreased. The experience of coming to this restaurant is not worth it anymore.

I used to come here since I was a kid but we moved to another city and we always missed this place. We finally came back today and they serve all the food in foam plates, everyone seems annoyed and in a rush, they are understaffed, the food is still good but I cant enjoy it like I used to. I used to split my food in different plates with my sister but now we are eating from the same cup. The food prices are still going up even though we can't even eat from a decent plate. It doesn't feel like a genuine Mexican restaurant, the sauce bar is missing and they only give you one little cup of sauce to go. Overall I will not come back.

Yummy comfort food with very reasonable prices. Ordering online is convenient and easy. Customer service is excellent. There was a power outage on the day I was supposed to pick up a catering order, but Ramon called me early enough in the day to let me know so I could make other arrangements.

They could liven it uo with some music to reflect the culture. We all like to sit down to a good mariachi or ranchera playing in the restaurant.

Great Mexican food at decent prices. Quality was solid and portions were generous. I got a lengua burrito wet and it was pretty filling. Could have eaten half and saved the rest for later but just didn't stop. Lol. My kids got the chicken quesadilla and the chicken taquitos. The quesadilla was "not bad" but the taquitos were not what you'd expect. They were not fried in hard shells but more of a basic, smaller burrito. Still delicious but not what they were expecting. Will definitely be going back to try more things and see if I can hit maximum density.

Their website menu forgot to out the decimal point on their prices,so it looks like a burrito will cost $750 instead of $7.50!

The ordering process has changed, and the lineup against the wall is eliminated. The ordering counter is in the middle of the store at a counter. Some tables are removed. The food is fabulous and the seats are plentiful for the time of day I went in. The service is great. Love this place and will return soon. The parking lot for the restaurant also.

Was in the neighborhood so wanted to try this place, the food is good but the inside was little dirty and dark. You have to order in the window, then your food is packed togo, then you grab a seat and sit down to eat or take it togo with you. The food is good, nothing anything special. Wish the interior was little bit more brighter and cleaner.

This place was recommended by a local. He told me this where the local Mexican and other Hispanics eat. What a pleasant surprise !! To begin the place is very clean, you are able to wan in keeping social distance and all the employees wear masks. Now to the most important part the food. I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of the food. I had the cow’s tongue burrito (wanted something I never had) it was deliciously prepared, with rice and beans it was huge two people honestly can share but had all by myself. My stepson had carne asada burrito came guacamole, picked jalapeños, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, and a good portion of guacamole our order came with chips and green salsa. I had a large horchata drink and he had a medium coke, all of that $34.58 tipping not required or expected lol. We definitely going back

Nice place, delicious food, but the food it’s not balanced, I ordered an El Abajeño burrito and was filled mostly with rice and vegetables no much meet for the price ($16.99) I won’t come back again.

Thought about 3* for the flan because it was quality not amazing but good, but the torta was ordinary with day old bread, and the taquito was straight trash… not a good spot for Tortas Or taquitos… $25 total, over priced

Food is always so good and the staff is constantly on the go making magic happen. Do yourself a favor and order the largest bag of chips and salsa. My husband and I snack on that for a week if we're pacing ourselves.
