100% recommended. Excellent service and the food, wow, delicious! I was looking for something with flavor and here I found it. If you're looking for something spicy, ask for the habanero sauce.

Food that is old and warm on the outside and cold and bad on the outside. If they offer old croissants, they will soon have no customers.

This little café is easy to miss if you're driving, but you definitely want to stop in if you can. The food is tasty, the owner takes excellent care of all her customers. You can sit outside (if you can stand Florida's heat) or inside. I highly recommend their hot sandwiches or burritos.

Arepa with pork was amazing. Beef empanada very good. I enjoyed my breakfast burrito. We took a nother pork arepa to go.

I have been coming here for years! Maybe once a year but when they first opened I was here at least twice a week! I personally know the owners and they are the absolute sweetest! It’s nice to come and see they have hired workers that mean things are going great for them! I had no doubt they will be still standing years to come in just happy to have a place so close to home as nice as black bean! The food and pastries and aren’t anything short of amazing! (If you’re in doubt get a burrito) but I promise you won’t be disappointed! Come support black bean if you love great food!

Delicious food in a friendly environment! Vanilla Flan to go .. creamy and light not sweet.. it was absolutely delicious!! The caramel nut brownie also delicious! Friendly service! Seating inside and outside.. They have a great menu with fresh soups daily!!! I highly recommend!

Delicioso! It's a clean and cozy little restaurant. I had a veggie burrito. It was crispy on the outside and gooey and fresh on the inside. Sometimes veggie burritos can get too soggy but not this one! There aren't a lot of vegetarian options but the staff is friendly and very accommodating. Be sure to ask for their house made salsa picante!

The El Black Bean restaurant is my favorite lunch stop when I lived in West Palm and remains to be my favorite when I travel to the city for business. Seyla (owner / proprietor) and her team are wonderful and provide fantastic service. The soups are to die for and the sandwiches and salads are good and filling. Everything is made fresh and the spiritual music that they play in the background is very relaxing and gives you a few minutes to feel the presence of God. The music just helps to take you away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives to a more peaceful place. If you haven’t visited El Black Bean please do so because once you do, it will quickly become a favorite.

I’ve come here twice while visiting my parents. The owner is extremely nice. The food is great. The homemade tomatillo sauce is delicious. They need to bottle it. The place is also very clean.

We were a group of 6. When we showed up, there was nobody . The place was empty. We ended up waiting till they served all the other customers that showed up after us. On our complaint about the wait time one of the cooking ladies said just give them the money back so they can leave.. we left feeling disgusted about the food and the workers.. cheap quality fast food. Horrible service. Racist women.

Delicious! I had the veggie burrito. It was grilled like a panini and served nicely with corn chips and a side of green salsa. Look forward to going again with my wife!

What a hidden gem, we had breakfast burritos one morning, loved it so much we returned for lunch the next day! It was also very good, hubs had the La Carne Burrito, it was huge & he said it was fantastic. I had the chicken quesadilla it was yummy, also ordered the flan OMG out of this world. Have had the cafe con leche both hot & iced Yummy! The Guava pastry is delish! Zayla is so friendly & makes you feel welcome. I’m so happy to have found them.

First time eating here. We were greeted with a smile as soon as we entered. We felt welcomed to be a guest. (I say this because we had gone to another eatery and was ignored by the waitress/server while standing at the front desk and even walked back to the cash register and still no hello. It wasn’t that busy at least to acknowledge our presence, as there were two people out front.) What a pleasant relief to know that we were appreciated at El Bean and will be bringing our business here again. The food was excellent. The tacos hit the spot and I loved the soup. Thank you for your service, good food and acknowledgement.

First experience, WOW! I was going to be safe, ordered the Cuban. The layer of flavors was outstanding. And the verde salsa... I could drink it. I know it was there for the chips but I dipped each bite of my sandwich in it. Yum!!! I will be enjoying this again soon.

I wanted to love it. Went for lunch there were a few customers. There’s a lack of enthusiasm and the cooler display with plants is not something anyone wants to see. I would Remove it or fill it with even if it’s with chips water or fruit. The day special “chorizo” sandwich was not good it was a hard to eat sandwich and the broccoli and cheese soup was watered down not cheesy at all. This was a good place with a good spirit, please get it back.

Friendly staff a delicious food

I ordered an enpanada with cheese and spinach(not much cheese). A colada (which as weaker than regular coffee)and a pastry with guava and cheese (it was very good). Very un organized, set up for people in a hurry but way to slow. Always saying sorry to every customer but seemed like the status quo. 20min By the time I got my food. Food was on par with a Spanish grocery store. So I would go there instead.

Summary: limited Latin (Mexican, Cuban, etc) fusion menu in a clean but neutral setting, a bit pricey for a take-out place. Good food, but better local options for Latin food. • Breakfast > Went for the Breakfast Burrito, which is mostly scrambled eggs and sausage, with hash browns(?). It was very well packed and filling, with some spice, came with a mild green dipping sauce and a few superfluous chips. Ordered small American iced coffee with only sugar, well diluted and sweet. Almost $14 with tip lol. • Lunch> Ordered Cuban sandwich for lunch on a separate occasion asked for side of yuca or plantain, no such thing offered. I found the sandwich to be too cheesy (didn’t taste like Swiss either) I’d give it 3/5. 2022 = $15+ and 20% tip, close to $19 for a sandwich with no sides (not even the few chips provided with breakfast) and a medium drink. For that price point I can go to local Mexican joint lunch special with house margarita or the Cuban joint and get a Cuban sandwich and a side with a strong/sweet colada. So probably won’t be back. • The Place> Located in the same “plaza” as Eatalia and Grand Lake Chinese on South Side of Okeechobee Blvd just West of Skees Road. I ate breakfast at the location which is a hallway - clean, uncluttered, understated décor having clusters of black and white pictures on the wall from an old country. A bit beige/neutral for my tastes, expected bright color highlights which are more typical of Latin cultures. But I believe it is intended more as a pickup/take out joint. Men’s room very clean which is always a good sign.

Been going here for over 4 years. I dont know how its its possible but it gets better everytime I go. Today I had a chicken burrito and it was absolutely PHENOMINAL I treat myself to a chocolate cuisinart and it's as good as the cafe's in Montreal. I recommend you try it. My co worker recommended this restaurant to me and I must admit it was a wonderful recommendation. I ordered the chicken tacos and a cheese arepa and OMG did it taste so authentic and original. You can tell the person cooking it definitely puts a lot of love into the seasoning. The portions were great for me since I’m not a hearty eater. The tacos came with fresh chips and the sauce was amazing. Not too hot but very natural(unprocessed). The Cheese Arepa ( my favorite ) came with a well seasoned salad. I HIGHLY recommend this local business to everyone. It definitely exceeded my expectations. The saying goes don’t judge a book by its cover.

This was my first time ordering with this Hidden Gem. Let me tell you, the staff was very sweet and attentive. The restaurant is clean and organized. I had 6 orders to pick up, and they made sure to organize everything to take away the guess work. I was so happy. The food was very well seasoned. I had tried both the beef and pork burrito and each one had their own flavor. Portions are very generous and the food made me feel like i just got a warm and comforting hug. I will be going back!

I was looking for a quick bite to eat and saw the reviews. I gave this place a a try and I was not disappointed. My Carne burrito was tasty, filled with beef, rice, beans and much more. The red salsa was delicious. Prices are good and the owners were very kind.

Excellent food and affordable prices

I hesitate to write this review because I don’t want anyone to know about the hidden gem I have found. I am afraid that once everyone discovers this fantastic restaurant I won’t be able to get in and out for lunch! Can’t begin to tell how deliciously fresh and home made everything on the menu is! My co- worker and I have a mission to eat our way through every menu item . I have yet to be disappointed, and only find myself amazed that each item gets better and better. If you want a great meal at a very affordable price, served with passion try this place out, it will not disappoint! Clean friendly affordable fantastic!

Nice little place with very good service and flavorful dishes. I had the tacos and they were close to the authentic ones, a bit different but good anyway. Excellent service and friendly. They were offering today salmon chowder and liked it a lot. Will go back.

Awesome Stuffed Arepas and Chocolate Croissants.

I had a steak bowl (an alternative to the burrito) and a chicken tostada. My other half had the yucca burrito. I liked the steak bowl but was a little disappointed that it did not come with guacamole, like the menu description stated. The chili verde sauce was good but had zero heat. The tostada was a good size. The red sauce used to marinate the chicken was very sweet, which I did not like. The yucca burrito was a very large portion and the pork was nicely marinated (the yucca burrito did not have any yuca in it, sadly. The meal was named after the Yucatan Peninsula, according to the menu). The chocolate crossaint was not a crossaint and the chocolate filling tasted like the chocolate pudding Snack Pack. That's the only thing that I do not recommend. Another thing to mention is that the restaurant had Christian music playing so if you're uncomfortable with that it might be best to take your food to go. Otherwise, a good, locally owned business to try.

Small family restaurant excelling at customer satisfaction. Menu is full of options, food is tasty and abundant. Service was fast, waitress diligent and knowledgeable of the options. The only thing I’d like to point out is the lack of parking space but the plaza is small so be ready to park a bit rather than you expected This is a little piece of heaven inside West Palm Beach, you won’t regret eating there.

Very cool concept. Food is exceptional, ditto for the staff. I'm a regular here because I can eat Vegan. Now if they could only get vegan desserts lol.
