This was my first time at this restaurant. The service is terrible. The waitresses are clueless. It took them 20 minutes to bring our drinks to the table and the place wasn't even full. What I observed is absolutely that they waste too much time doing nothing. I am not going to complain about the food. The chicken, yuca, beans, and the fries were great. But the horrible service I wanted to get another drink, but the waitress never came back to the table. When we finished eating, I had to ask another waitress to bring my tab. In the tab, I saw that they had already included 18% tip. Here you can see a picture of my receipt. This restaurant is a disappointment, the service is very bad. How is it possible that it takes 20 minutes to bring our drinks to the table. The place wasn't even full. The food was also very late. The dishes to eat were soup, they were not for eating chicken🤦🏻‍♂️. We had to ask him to change them. In the end I had to ask for the bill and to my surprise they had already charged 18% tip. How beautiful! Here I will give an image of the receipt.

This place has changed soo much and not in a good way, before the prices, food and servings were of high quality at great prices now food is bland, with the wrong seasoning that overtakes the flavors we got the ceviche and it tasted more like ginger soup the lomo saltado is way too salty and on top of that it seemed like they forgot to put our food in and my mom had to wait for her food while we were done eating, our server was ok but didn't check on us we had to constantly had to ask her for stuff and the place wasn't full and maybe I sound entitled saying that maybe if she had ask us how we were doing she would have checked on our food and making sure it was being prepared, hopefully they change the cook because the food wasn't good, very dissatisfied since we used to (past sense) love coming here to enjoy authentic Peruvian food.

Everything was fine, the food wasn't bad or anything but when they brought the bill they added something that I hadn't ordered, when I let the woman who was serving us know, she changed her attitude and when she came back with the "fixed" bill she literally threw it away. to the table and they had added 4 more dollars to us, I don't know if it was because we paid by card or what, we didn't ask anymore and we just decided to leave.

Maybe the first problem is, we went on Mother's Day for breakfast. The place was extremely crowded and felt like it had to be a fire code violation. The breakfast bar was very underwhelming and included things that even my Peruvian wife said really aren't for breakfast. Partially because it was so crowded, the service was lacking but I could see they were trying. I'd like to try again when it's not crowded for dinner but as others have mentioned, the 18% automatic gratuity and the issues we had before really makes me not want to go back.

The worst Peruvian chicken I have ever had in my entire life... horrible!!! 😤. horrible rice. beans that I didn't even know I had. I couldn't get through the food. vote everything. Don't eat here.

This place is the worst place I ever eat. Unfortunately the food was so bad no flavor, the service was terrible and on top of that charged automatically gratuity of 20% I do not recommend this place at all and Will never go back to this place.

I was really disappointed at this place. I went with my family and this is really not a family environment. The appetizer we had tasted like it was made two days ago. Their main entree was really bad I had steak a lo pobre. The steak was really thin and had no taste. The rice was super hard like it had been microwaved. I think the only good thing in that plate was the eggs. The food is terrible and really expensive. They also charge a 18% automatic gratuity no matter if it's 2 people eating. I would never recommend this place. This is good if it's drinking in a bar not for eating food. If you want real peruvian food I recommend. La limeña or Canela Restaurant. Very authentic and pleasant experience. Actually cheaper too.

"I recently dined at El Meson Restaurant and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The service was incredibly poor because the way they acted, at least they served the food very fast and I appreciate that but is not enough. To make matters worse, the food was excessively salty, making it almost inedible. Even with this, we had to leave a high tip because it's already included on the bill even when the service and food quality fell far below expectations. It's safe to say that I won't be returning.

This was quite disappointing, especially considering the restaurant's reputation for its cuisine. What puzzled me the most was the mandatory high tip that was included in the bill. This was despite the fact that the service didn't warrant it. It felt unjustified and only added to the feeling of being taken advantage of. Overall, I left the restaurant feeling let down and frustrated. I hope that the management takes note of these issues and works on improving the quality of both the service and the food. As a paying customer, it's disheartening to leave a dining establishment feeling dissatisfied. I sincerely hope that future patrons have a better experience than I did.

Pésima atención el día de hoy (final del mundial Qatar) de la mesera de nombre Ana. Me obligaron a comprar buffet aunque yo solo quería un café y pan con chicharrón. Me dijeron que solo había venta de buffet. Igual acepté y cuando pedí un container para llevar lo que dejé en mi plato me dijo la mesera Ana que no se podía que esa comida se iba a la basura pero no me lo podía llevar. Me hizo pasar un mal momento, me sentí maltratada. NO les recomiendo este horrible lugar.

The food, lomo saltado was not bad, but not great, the tallarines verdes was horrible. The service was absent from the beginning to the end. The ventilation system should be better, the whole place smells like soup and that’s not appealing when you open the door, the soup smells more than your own plate in front of you.

Hoy fue terrible, después de unos meses que regresamos a este restaurante. La chica no tiene la menor idea de cómo tomar una orden mucho menos de Servicio al Cliente . La verdad fué decepcionante. Espero puedan corregir esto, uno gasta más de $100 en comer por lo tanto esperamos un buen servicio y una muy buena comida , especialmente si están representando nuestra comida peruana .

A really nice, clean comfortable space with a varied menu. The service was quick and very friendly. Just visited for lunch and had one of their chicken meal combos (as did everyone else at my table), which was really well seasoned and a reasonable price. Definitely am glad I got the fried yucca as one of my sides.

Excellent, authentic Peruvian food, but inconsistent. I come for the ceviche de pescado in particular and order it not spicy (no picante!) which they do well - sometimes. Yuca side often comes undercooked - yet still I eat it, with their delicious non-spicy dipping sauce. Very casual environment. Communication is sometimes tough, as I don't speak any spanish. Depends who's working. Overall, it's hit or miss. I give it 4 stars because when done right, it's amazing. *NOTE: Added gratuity on every check, regardless of party size or total.

La comida buena, lo MALO es que NO esperan traerte la cuenta para que según su atención aplicar el cliente pueda voluntariamente poner el TIP, ya que son ellos aplican directamente el 20% y lo que es peor sacando el % sumado el TAX ósea que al final resulta al 25%.

This was a great lunch spot. And after dining I. I'm sure the night life here is amazing. Lots of big TV's for futbol and great Peruvian food. Generous helpings and good price. I tried something other than chicken for once and was pleasently surprised. This fried pork was amazing. Can beat fat juicy pork bites fried up fresh. Yucca was a great side as well. Highly recommend the chicharones y yucca. Filled me up and had leftovers for dinner! Ohh and do not sleep on the onion salsa that really was the best part. Secret amazing sauce. I would eat a bowl of it on its own.

Authentic and quiet. The staff were very kind and polite, willing to jump through hoops to provide superior service as it was there pleasure to do so. Food was amazing. I eat quesadillas and always need sour cream and guacamole, but none of that was necessary as the quesadilla was so tender, and juicy, with the ingredients making it's own sauce. Superb restaurant. I will return and make it a regular habit. I owe it to them anyway since I had such a nasty attitude my last visit. They didn't care. They treated me like a valued guest regardless of my attitude. Great people, great restaurant, great food.

Located in a small strip mall on S. Frederick Avenue, El Meson is a small restaurant offering typical Peruvian favorites. I stopped there at 10:00pm on a rainy night for a quick take out and ordered a quarter chicken with Yucca fries and salad. Since it was not very busy, my order was ready in less than five minutes. After a half hour ride, I got home and my food was still warm. The chicken was very good, the Yucca fries were delicious (still crisp). The salad was small and plain but fine. I used all four sauce packages (two green, two yellow), which were very good. The final tab was less than $10. Recommended. The restaurant is small, but it is clean and pleasant. It has seating for about 50. There is a bar and several large screen TVs. The clientele, a family and four ladies on a night-out, all looked Peruvian. The menu was extensive, and it seems they will prepare all items for take-out. The service was pleasant and efficient. Look forward to sampling more of the menu there.
