Love the chimichurri fries! Served hot, fresh, and tasty! Plus the owner is a joy to talk to, so it’s a great option at the Aborlook Beer Garden.

Best Cubano sandwich I’ve ever had and his green sauce is amazing! The overall cart pod is a hidden gem. Great atmosphere, great beer/wine/cider selections, and Pee Wee’s big adventure playing on the projector was perfect entertainment.

Wow! This place is incredible. It’s so hard to find Ecuadorian cuisine and to have such authentic and delicious food here in Portland is a steal. Found this place by chance and tried it out the same day. The food is so delicious and flavorful and you can truly feel like you’re getting home cooking, and the hospitality and service is unmatched. I cannot wait to come back and try more off the menu, this is definitely going to become our go-to spot! Gracias por todo!

I ordered the El Ñaño sandwhich. The savory steak / sweet fried plantain combo with the fresh baguette is perfection. It’s very apparent that great care has been taken to procure quality ingredients to craft this amazing sandwich!

Came here to try out some new food carts and found El Naño. They're one of the only places I've found in Portland that has an authentic Lomo Saltado. Super friendly chef and great food, highly recommend the food if you've never tried it before.

The owner is so friendly and accommodating. I don’t eat meat and while it may not be super apparent, the menu has lots of vegan and vegetarian options. I love their vegan sandwich and the chimichurri fries, and my absolute favorite is the lomo saltado with tofu. That dish can be hard to find in Portland, let alone a vegetarian/vegan version. Really great flavors and lots of unique South American dishes!

Truly the best sandwich I've ever eaten. A symphony of flavors. I ordered the salmon chimichurri avocado sandwich. The bread and sauces are homemade, salmon from indigenous fishers. Grilled to perfection. The cook is a world traveler, will tell you the story behind the food you're eating, and if you're lucky play you some music. Arborlook food cart pod is a cozy neighborhood spot. Has a spot to lock bikes.

This place is a gem. I get el Argentino Vegano and it's so incredibly tasty! The owner is so kind and makes their own mayo which is a perfect touch. The fries are always on point as well. Very fortunate to have an Argentinian place nearby.

Food was amazing!! The meat was seasoned perfectly and the rice was amazing! I cleaned my plate ate every grain. Don’t even get me started on the grilled vegetables. Do yourself a favor go meet this man and taste his food you won’t regret it!!!

I loved the food here. My family and I are Ecuadorian and are so happy to know there are Ecuadorian restaurants around. The encebollado and the salchipapa are so delicious!! The encebollado was hot and soooo good! The broth/soup is so flavorful. The portions are really good and I had enough to take home. The owner is very kind and made all our food fresh. We also got the maduros and patacones. I highly recommend coming here if you want authentic Ecuadorian food and a nice atmosphere!

Great Ecuadorian food-truck while visiting Portland. We found ourselves lucky to find some Ecuadorian food which is not easy to find in the States. I had the menestra de frijoles (beans). Friendly service.

On our way to Downtown Portland, we wanted something meaty. We were looking for some Argentinian parrillada place, and all the places we looked at were opening after 5 pm. Ñoño Parilladas came up in our search, and we decided to try it out! Cool spot, cold beers, and yummy sandwiches. We bought the Pan con Chicharron and El Cubano. The pork was terrific in both sandwiches; marinated onions and a spicy-not-so-spicy salsa enriched the meat flavors. Locals were also friendly and told us they had good music throughout the year. Sorry, no pictures! I was enjoying my sandwich.

Food was absolutely amazing and the chef was so friendly and kind! The El Argentino sandwich is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Cannot wait to come back again and try everything else!

Out of all the places that I usually stop for food when I sit down in this lovely beer garden, this one is the most frequented. I love the way that they combine south american cuisine with north american standards, The chimichurry fries are my absolute favourite, Though if you're feeling the sandwiches I can't recommend them strongly enough, The people who work this stand have always been friendly to me and I'm always happy to see that they're here. Ten out of ten stars even though the rating system only goes up to 5. Definitely give them a try!

The owner of El Ñaño is incredibly kind, gives amazing service, and makes some incredible food. The el ñaño sandwich is one of my favorites and puts other dishes to shame. Come to North Portland and give it a try. You won’t regret it.

Yo the bagel sandwich is the best I’ve ever had. Just a ridiculous amount of flavor, every bite was amazing and his special sauce takes it to another level. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu. Excellent Food and Top Notch service. Nelson is a fantastic and devoted chef. The Media Noche was my first meal and incredible. The Pan Con Chichaaron was on my second stop and equally impressive. Very unique and flavorful offerings, El Nano is a must try.

Absolutely delicious! I got El Argentino Vegano and it was just about the perfect sandwich. Made with Impossible meat, it was succulent, flavorful, just a little spicy, and perfectly textured with a little fried-potato crunch on top. The bread was especially good, and the owner told me it is his own recipe made with organic ingredients at the bakery down the way! You can really tell how much passion goes into this truck's food. I'll be back!

Took a trip to Portland and mapped out the best food places to go to but this hands down was the best place. The customer service is amazing and we were told the owners story and how he came up with his menu of recipes from the places he’s been to. He makes the bread fresh for each sandwich and all the ingredients were very fresh as well. Would 100% come here again

El Nano is the closest thing I've eaten to my mother's cooking it's the best

Such a great mix of Argentine, Peruvian sandwiches, stir fry and potato dishes with tons of sauce!! He makes his own organic French bread and sources everything with great care. Salut! Lomo Saltado and pan de Chichorron were both fantastic!

So refreshing to find South American food in Portland that isn't white-washed or $35 a plate. 10/10 chicharron and excited to come back for some lomo saltado next! The owner is Ecuadorian and as a Peruvian it was really exciting to discover his business as he is not only a kind and charismatic soul but a fantastic chef. :)

This is one of the most slept on food carts in Portland… 10/10. You can’t go wrong with the El Ñaño sandwich, it’s incredible. The steak, fried egg and sweet fried platano work so well together, and the bread is perfect. I’ll be back asap to try everything else! This is the only spot in Portland that does South American street food the right way, and the owner is the nicest guy. Please go here asap, they deserve your patronage!

This is our absolute favorite food cart for multiple reasons. Reason one, the guy that runs it is super nice and friendly, and we always have a great conversation while he makes our food. Reason two is the food is absolutely amazing. He’s been to multiple different countries and learned different recipes throughout his travels and the food is absolutely worth it.

Wow! What a great experience I just had! After spending a year in Portland, I've been trying as many food carts as humanly possible. This was easily and by far the best one! The owner was absolutely incredibly professional with very warm energy. His stories of how he acquired his recipes were complimented by motivational morals. I will be returning asap to get another Media Noche, which, by the way, was heavenly. Thank you for everything you do, and please keep playing beautiful music.

Absolutely delicious! El Ñaño parrilladas, small truck, BIG menu! There are many choices to choose from. Their salchipapas and sandwiches are great if you want to grab something small. If you have a big appetite, go for the menestra. It tastes homemade and it brought me back to Ecuador. Recommended place for all!!!

Great authentic Peruvian flavors!

Was a late night and my Ecuadorian friend wanted to try the place out as it was closed early the night before. She called and caught Nelson just before he was going to close shop and was going to stay open for us to drop by. Got a steak and chicken menestras platter which were good but also got some chimichurri fries and a choripan and that was the highlight with the chimichurri having a great balance between fresh herbs and tangy lemon and onion juice. And Nelson is a awesome guy that is very friendly and excited about what he serves and wants you to have a great experience.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had — and this was my first time. Im more excited to go back here than to any other restaurant in Portland.

The South American cuisine at this cart offers a range of dishes not found many other places in town. The owner is vegan and also prepares attractive veg options. His care for quality is evident in his food.

The only reason I don’t have pictures is because I couldn’t even wait to start eating from how good it smelled and looked. This food was legit!!! I married into an Ecuadorian family and missing the food is one of the downsides of being away from them. But this food truck is the only Ecuadorian spot in Portland and it made us feel at home. We got the salchipapa fries and the carne asada menestra plate. You have to give this a try if you want to taste authentic Ecuadorian food. Nelson is so sweet too and told us his story of how he ended up here. He told us he gives the same love his mother gave while teaching him how to cook because he wants people to feel comforted and at home while eating his food. Gracias Nelson, estaba riquísimo la comida buena suerte con todo.

The El Americano is the best bagel I’ve had in years. I’m from Houston texas and it’s hard to find good food. Worth a trip, try the Papicarne!

Only reason we drive to downtown Portland; tried the chimichurri fries, median noche, Salchipapas, Maduro frito, menestre. Each plate is full of flavor & the sauce that comes with the media noche is amazing! The owner is very down to earth and knows how to make a bomb sandwich. Run to this food truck. Not only is Nelson the owner the coolest guy but his food is delicious. I split a pan con chicharron with my sister, it was sooooooo good we bought another one on the spot. He makes his own bread, mayonnaise, sauces!!! Epic food. Run to this food truck!!!!

As a long time connoisseur of Food Carts this place is the real deal - everything is super tasty and made to order. So far I’ve had the Choripan, Media Noche and just ordered the Pan Con Chicharron and so far nothing I’ve had has been anything less than excellent.

Huge fan of this cart! The food is delicious, the owner is really nice, and the whole experience of getting a meal here is one I enjoy. The Pan de Chicharron is a favorite of mine, as well as El Ñaño. The bread is always fresh and the sandwiches hold up well as leftovers too. Highly recommend!

Here at El Ñaño the food is delicious and made when you order it, the Cubano Leo was delicious perfectly toasted bread with just enough give to compliment everything on the inside! The chimichurri fries were amazing with a nice crispy bite! Come and show support, I’ll definitely be back for more!!
