Fast counter service with superb food choices at a reasonable price!

Edit: Had to change my 5 stars to 1. Lately my orders are ALWAYS wrong. It's awful when you've paid 12.75 for a burrito that someone decided to fill with lettuce, it's not supposed to have lettuce, no chili, very few calabacitas, and is cold. Nothing better than a warm lettuce burrito in stead of the calabacita you ordered. I always tip well for my to go orders, at least 18% so I would have expected better service. Old review: The food is great! It can take a while to get your order but it's worth the wait!

Their chicken tacos are easily my favorite. A reliable place for burritos and other stuff, too.

Pork tamales are EXCELLENT. Also tried the shredded beef taco which was really good. Didnt see any alcohol for sale (sigh). But they took my order fast and food was ready quick. The dining area is fine, just more like a cafeteria. This is way better than the 4.2 rating I am seeing. And way better than Blue Window Bistro.

So this was an accidental find while in Los Alamos. Everything we ate was delicious! Their green sauce is the bomb!

Popular place with great neighborhood vibe. Lots of good menu choices. The frito pie was excellent as was the pork tamale combo.

Good food!! It can take a little while to get your order, especially when it's busy, but it's worth the wait. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Clean tables and restrooms. This place always has people and a great atmosphere! There is a drive thru as well!

Had the steak burrito. It was more beans than anything. Also very messy to eat with your hands.

Great breakfast burritos! The green chili had a nice bite to it today.

My favorite is the chicken taco. I think they dip the entire assembled taco into a fryer briefly to solidify the whole taco into a unit. My wife loves the green chili hamburger. Our grandson (age 6) likes the chicken burrito (lots of chicken). Our granddaughter (age 4) will only eat the breakfast burrito, but they serve those only until 11:00. The homemade cookies are really yummy.

I particularly love the chicken tacos. I think they dip the assembled taco briefly in a fryer so the whole taco is a solid unit. My wife's favorite is the green chili hamburger. Our grandson (6 years old) prefers the chicken burrito, which has a huge amount of chicken. Our granddaughter (4 years old) likes only the breakfast burritos, but those are not served after 11 am, so for dinner she just nibbled off our foods, but she wasn't very hungry anyway. Homemade cookies that our grandchildren love. [The Wednesday evening we were there they were fulfilling a huge catering order, yet still managed to fulfill our order quickly.

Good food but not sure what's up with the people ordering food and going to the drive through a minute later holding up the whole drive through line for 15 minutes. They should be told to park and come inside if they are to early for their order.

I am not a fan. Their burgers are always wet with what I can only describe as thawing green chile, I imagine they pull from a container sitting around all day. They also put mustard on thier burgers which is totally prefference but I keep forgetting each time. This place is an institution however and thier other food is better.

Delicious, authentic New Mexico meals. We had the posole, and tacos. Both were superb. Nice bite to the posole. Comfortable, simple dining area. And great value.

I’m not sure why this place is so popular. I ordered each of the three different kinds of tacos on the menu. The tacos were a little better than Taco Bell and four times as expensive.

Have eaten here sporadically and recently started picking up breakfast every Saturday. Really incredible food and friendly folks. Even if you don't plan to dine in, the online ordering is user-friendly and very convenient!

Pretty good food for a chain restaurant

Stopped by for a lunch while visiting Los Almos. Reasonable pricing, great food. I got shredded beef and chicken tacos and didn’t get disappointed. Red sauce made everything taste even better. This place is one of few I found to be open on Sunday. Would consider visiting again when in the area.

Ordered chicken tacos i had a combination of beans gr chili diff meats very sloppy like they mixed it all in the taco taco tasted like fish never again will i eat there again rodrigios tacos is a better choice

Save tour time your better off going to rodrigos for good mexican food i ordered a burrito was greasy leaked all over in my car and tasted awful also the chicken taco i ordered tasted like fish was dry you can tell they cook in dirty grill found chili potatoes green chili in my taco never again burnt food

I was there for second time! Maybe I’m just spoiled by Houston food! But this place don’t have a good flavor I’m sorry we order burrito,burgers and menudo I pozole and just no flavor at all

At this point, how are they in business? They close at random times, they put you on hold for 10 mins and then hang up, they're rude, they don't want to be there, why are they still doing business? I'm consistently disappointed in the service, which sucks because the food is really good. I just want some tacos, but it feels impossible! It's to the point that I drive to the Pojoaque location instead!

Excellent one of my favorite places in Los Alamos

Bernardo and Alejandra were amazing! The staff stayed open to serve and seat a team of 30 and parents a whole hour after closing! We got great food and awesome service! Thank you so much

I ate here a little while ago when camping at the Bandelier National Monument and came into town to see the sights a little. Burrito was substantial along with chips and I was happily full afterward.

Nothing like paying $14 for a breakfast burrito so I can eat out of styrofoam. Green Chile is bland and boring. Get real

Go to El rigobertos. Breakfast burrito order was completely wrong, they don't know how to wrap a burrito. And they use solid potato chunks. I asked for extra bacon and got one strip.

The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. It's a very clean place too. I had the Carne Adovada burrito smothered in green chile. It was the best one I have ever eaten. Unbelievably good!

No table service. All food served in Styrofoam take-out containers. Food was tasty, though. The Green Chile Stew was especially delicious!

This is one of the best tamales I've ever had. There were four of us and everyone's food was amaaaaazing! This is a MUST stop if you're in the area!

There is free parking available in the lot behind the restaurant. The lot is small, but there is usually enough parking available as I was able to find a space every time I have visited. The inside is decorated in a traditional Mexican style. The walls are adorned with colorful murals, and the tables are covered with red and white checkered tablecloths. The chairs are large, wooden affairs that are well-worn but look good and are comfortable. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere. You order at the counter and they call your name for pick up. The menu items are traditional Mexican food that includes a variety of dishes, such as tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas. The food came out quickly and was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very pleasant. I am told that the restaurant has a full bar, which serves a variety of Mexican beers and cocktails but I did not try anything from that part of the menu. Please be aware that they have limited hours and may be closed “early” for people visiting from other cities. Please check their hours and if they are going to be open when you arrive. I definitely recommend this to my fellow travelers for a good meal. Enjoy.

Got the chicken and beef taco combination plate. Chicken taco was dry, beans were bland and had a weird texture, and rice was also bland and soggy.

Sadly the tortilla burger I got today was disgusting. Mostly lettuce and very sloppy no seasoning or flavor on the meat and also very greasy. I couldn’t finish it due to the mess and for 16 bucks with no drink I think I was better off going to McDonald’s or Sonic for a decent burger at a fair price.

I miss eating chicken tacos. Must try for sure when ever in this beautiful part of New Mexico.

Cashier had a horrible attitude. Rather than being kind and earning a tip, she earned this one star review. The original Parasol still has my business. I won't ever come here again.

Went back today and the food was only average when it used to be great.

I don't know why everyone thinks this place is so great. Their burritos have a weird smoky taste like they were made on a dirty grill, and the bacon is always overcooked and chewy. I won't even eat their breakfast burritos when they're free (boss buys breakfast annually.) Somehow their chicken tacos manage to be the greasiest food I've ever eaten while also being dry in texture. Gross. All I will be getting the next time I have to eat here with my co-workers is a Mexican Coke.

Possibly the best Tacos I’ve ever tried. Food quality was great as was the portion size. The green chili sauce is excellent. Very friendly staff. Definitely a must stop if you are in Los Alamos.

Incredible Mexican food — vegetarian options are outstanding. Salsa is spicy and delicious. Right next to the Manhattan Project visitors center. Highly recommended.

For fast food it’s excellent, hence a 5. Tender tortillas in the burritos, flexibly will adapt food for vegans, fast, very tasty to out-of-towners, and right across from Los Alamos History Museum and lodge- so convenient. Try a calabacita burrito- zucchini, onion, potato or a frito pie. Outdoor seating. Yum!

I was really disappointed with my visit to this location because I have been to both of the other locations and am always satisfied. The first thing that I noticed was how I was treated at the service counter, the manager helped the customer in front of me, then saw me, rolled his eyes and walked away. After that, the woman asked another male associate if he could "deal with me". His name was Miguel and he was incredibly rude to me, snatching my credit card from my hand, putting it on the counter instead of handing it back to me, and then slamming my receipt and pen for signature on the counter. The food was also incredibly bland, the chili had absolutely no flavor, and it was an extra $5 to top my burrito with said bland chili, cold lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. Skip the visit here and go to the one in Pojaque instead.

Greasey meat, shells were soggy. Could only take two bites and asked for my money back. Manager/counter guy argued with me about whether it had been sitting in the window for 10 or 13 minutes. Will never go back

Not too enthused about the place. This was my first time ordering from here. The burrito I ordered was a ok, just a little bit greasy.. Staff was ok. Not much of a greeting.. I like the store in Santa Fe & in Poquque... They have a very Friendly Staff...

Delicious vegetarian burrito, pork taco, and super fresh guacamole! I was shocked by the stuffed sopapilla. It was larger than my face yet I finished it. That’s how amazing it is!

WORST TORTILLA BURGER I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE!! messy and was made like a taco, burger had no flavor whatsoever, fries were hard and tasted old...only good thing about my experience was the tamales...although small and pricey was very delicious....love eating at parasol restaurants but never again will I eat from here in Los Alamos...tortilla burgers are made properly and are delicious in both Espanola locations

The breakfast burritos are HUGE and absolutely delicious! They have a great selection but will make them how you want too. Definitely choose the red it's mouthwatering. But the greens pretty awesome too!!!

El Parasol is amazing. The food is great, the service is friendly and the prices are very affordable. Try the Frito pie with Xmas style chile. Take home a quart of posole to share with a loved one. Breakfast burritos served until 11am. Fun, community-oriented atmosphere. You'll be glad you stopped in.

Friendly staff and great New Mexican. The tacos and tamales are delicious. Great burritos for breakfast or lunch / dinner as well. Highly recommend. Just don't show up right at noon because there is usually a line!

This restaurant is pretty wheelchair accessible. Wide sidewalk and doors, no stairs, and the staff were helpful. I stopped by for lunch and really enjoyed the combo.

Worst “Mexican” food I’ve ever had. Lady taking our order named Mayra was very rude and got upset because I couldn’t hear what she was saying to me. I asked for a cup for ice and water she gave me a bottle of water which I refused. She finally gave me a cup I filled up my cup with “water” only to find out it was soda water not regular. I walked outside and my boyfriend stayed inside waiting for our order. He heard the lady and the man in the counter talking about me calling me names so he called them out, and of course they denied everything. I don’t recommend this rude place to anyone. Spend your coins somewhere else!

Great authentic new Mexico cuisine. Well balanced chili heat and flavor. Unfortunately my smothered burrito wasn't heated, due to still being served in a take out box.

First timer here! A bunch of people in town told me I had to check it out, so I did. I’ll be honest, having lived in Mexico for years I definitely am a bit picky with my tacos. The food here was okay. It wasn’t anything to die for but I’d come back again. The staff were friendly, the establishment was nice and clean, and the food came out quick. Overall, not too bad.
