The Mofongos and Alcapurrias are great. The food portion sizes are very good too. The natural juices are awesome, Tamarindo and Coconut were our favorites.

Just like eating at home , this place if full of love ❤️ flavors , we spend around 70 $ but it was because ones I test the food ,I could not stop ordering to take with me a piece of what brings me close to home 😍😍😍 1000%times recommended !

Authentic and delicious Puerto Rican food. Very reasonably priced. We did take-out and the portions were plentiful. In fact, it was so much that we weren't able to finish it. Less than a 10 minute drive from Great Wolf Lodge. By far the best meal we had during our stay. Our only regret is that we had it on our last day otherwise we probably would've had it a few more times. Everything we ordered we enjoyed. From the fritters, to the meals, to the dessert, it was all delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Looking forward to visiting again one day.

My lovely husband and I were in the mood for Spanish food on our visit to the Poconos so we decided to give El Rincon Caribe a try. We reside in Brooklyn and have grown up eating great Spanish food so our expectations were set high. I'm excited to say that we were NOT disappointed! The Oxtail with yellow rice and beans (Arroz con Gandules) was the real deal and authentic. Reminded us of Grandma's cooking. My husband and I had the opportunity to chat with the lovely owners plus their wonderful daughters and son-in-law which elevated our experience beyond the AMAZING food. This welcoming place will be our go to on our next visit to the Poconos.

The empanadas are delicious. Service is a little slow. Overall, pretty good.

As someone who is a Puerto Rican but is white passing (sorry?), the rudeness was absolutely ridiculous by all the staff. Racism? More than likely. Ordered pasteles and I couldn’t hear the girl behind the glass, asked what kind and how many. Asked for 12 and was instantly judged for this. Mind you, I ordered these for my family and I. The lady walks over rolling her eyes huffing and puffing about it. Then asks AGAIN how many I’d like, I told her multiple times. I said 6 is fine if they don’t want to do a dozen. I asked if she got my flan and Malta, ignored me, twice. Other older woman walks over to me and says you know the pasteles need to be frozen, right? I said I’m aware thank you. Last time I’ll give my business here. Your food is great but your attitudes suck.

Went on a mini trip with the family a couple months back from Long island, best food ive tried in that area yet cant wait to go back !

The oxtail and pepper steak were very tough, in fact my relatives threw them away. If the customer will pay with card it will charge $ more.

Have to say was pleasantly surprised when I visited this place for dinner. Awkward setup where you order food from the counter first, but once in the dinning room, the ambience was nice. The food was top tier with good flavor. Bravo to the chef as all the dishes were delicious 😋

I don't like to give a bad opinion about a place and even less about my own country, but the place really should improve in many aspects. The food was not at the level of a restaurant and even less than an inn, the meat was very salty, the rice was hard and the smell of the place inside did not inspire eating, the service was average since they did not explain themselves well in Spanish (of course in this language we They talked) but they didn't even know what plate they would serve us on since they showed us one plate and then served us on another. What a disgusting place, the attitude of the person who serves you is super stinky, we came from NJ and were attracted by the good comments but nothing to see, it is a super cold day and the person who served us told us that we should eat outside because they had an event inside but It wasn't like that, we told her that it was cold outside and that we wanted to eat there and she didn't care and kept telling us that they had an event, something that doesn't make much sense if you have a restaurant and it's cold outside you shouldn't schedule an event inside because where people eat people, The truth is, what a bad experience and the girls who serve told each other that they want to eat inside…. I came from NY to this amazing family owned restaurant. The food was amazing that I ended up leaving with frozen pasteles to cook when I get home. The pasteles de yuca was wow. The sorullitos brought me the best memories of my childhood in Puerto Rico. The mofongo de carne frita was amazing. The rotisserie chicken was great too. Definitely coming back. This place is really for take out. It's not really designed to eat in. Unfortunately the tables inside are not designed to accommodate to sit with your legs directly underneath. Perhaps for those who are short. If you decide to eat in be prepared for paper plates and flimsy plastic forks and knives but that's the only downside. The food was really good! The decor was very nice! I enjoyed the homage to the Puerto Rican Culture. They needed to place the waving flag to make it easier to locate. Got take out from here for the first time. The food was pretty good. Portions were great. A tiny bit overpriced for the area, but food was still fantastic. A little bit of a wait, which wasn’t ideal!

Food is good taste like the island. I had the pepper steak very tasty. Wife had the beef stew which she said was very tender and tasted like back home. We also had pernil with rice/ beans. The side order of red beans was amazing ! The portions I expected to be more for the price. We would go back and have again. The dining area is small kind of cramped. But if you like Puerto Rican food you have to try it.

I ordered from this place many time before and have always loved the food but when I ordered today and received my food through door dash I was very disappointed….the empanadas are half the size they use to be and when I say the Maduros were dry there was absolutely no moisture to them…..

I ordered a Cuban sandwich and it was good but very small for the price. Overall it tasted good the pernil was a little dry but I just wish it was bigger and not so small.

I ordered Chicharrón Monfongo and they gave me a fried pork chop cut up pretty much chicharron should have the crispy skin on it and this was a fried pork chop if I wanted a fried pork chop i would’ve gotten that I’m so disappointed I’ve been to this place many of times, and I waited over an hour for this And I’m so not happy

Food is decent but they are overly expensive and cheap w/ their meats. Their customer service sucks! The female cashier attitude is disgusting & rude. Honestly the Spanish food place on 611 is way better and worth the time & money.

The only good thing about my order was the pernil and the chinola juice, the rice was debride 😒 and the beans smell like burn, I didn't like the food at all, I don't know how they have a 4.4 review 😡😡

Amazing food and amazing service! My family and I are staying near by and were on the search for Spanish food and we had originally found a restaurant around the corner that should not even be open. This place is amazing not only is the food delicious and authentic but the service and attention have been great. We had the sanchocho, mofongo and pernil with rice and a few chicken empanadas. It was super tasty and perfect. Recommend to everyone and will come again.

This was a wonderful find and great way to top off our trip. We went to Great Wolf Lodge for a couple of days. It’s a great place but they lack interesting food options. A little Google search Led us to El Rincon. We started with a couple of Alcapuria’s which were a perfect starter and tasty treat. Then the main meal. The mufungo is excellent! Go with the added chicharon inside for sure. I had Pernil with beef gravy and my 12 year old had the shrimp version. Both were excellent and a very generous portion. My wife and 9year old shared the Pollo Guisado and rice which was also wonderful and plenty for them to share. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the owner was a great guy who gave all credit to his wife’s amazing recipes! El Rincon is absolutely worth Visiting anytime you’re in the area and in need of a wonderful meal. We’ll be back next time we’re in town for sure!

I happened to be in the area for business. I was immediately greeted with smiles and great service. Had the escabeche de pescao and zurullitos de queso con jugo de piña mango. Absolutely the best I’ve had in years. Reminded me of my mother’s cooking when I was younger. EVERYTHING was delish (fish, rice, zurrullito and the drink). Highly recommend this spot. I even ordered another jugó de parcha and a coconut flan to go. I’ll definitely return with family even though it’s a distance from where I live. 10 out of 10 in my book.

El rincon caribe had the best pasteles we have had ever since my abuela passed away over 10 years ago! The gentleman that helped us out was wonderful and very friendly! Wow! After reading several wonderful reviews, I decided to visit El Rincon Caribe. The wait staff person was extremely kind and welcoming, and I asked her to surprise me with a dish she thought was worthwhile. In short order, I had an amazing fresh plate of steak and peppers with rice and beans. I am not a steak and peppers fan because the meat has always been a cheap and chewy cut. Not this time. The beef was tender, lean, and delectable. I'm not sure of the seasoning they used, but it was definitely the perfect balance that enriched the flavor of the beef. The rice and beans were equally delicious, thanks to tasty black beans over moist and flawlessly cooked rice. I wanted to put down my fork because I was full, but I couldn't stop. The meal was simply too amazing. Unfortunately, I had no room for their homemade desserts, which included homemade ice cream. When I return next week, I will definitely pounce on one of their after dinner creations! (Great for takeout, they do have a wonderful little dining area in case you'd like to stay a little while longer.)
