We have been going to El Sol to see Maria for over twenty years. Seems like every customer is a customer for life, and every person been here so much that they can no longer count dollars spent in a lifetime at the green tables. Sometimes Maria is there, sometimes she is not. But the food is always amazing. Prices have gone up recently, as with the rest of the world, but the quality has always been the best. El sol for life 🇲🇽🇺🇸 3 steak tacos, on corn, with only cilantro and onions. Green Salsa for flavor, with an agua fresca to knock the spice back off. This is the most popular order

The service is top tier. This waitress, Diana, took good care of me and my family while we dined there!

First the air wasn't working and they had a fan in front of the table, I ordered a wacamole which was just mashed avocado, it didn't have any ingredients like it's supposed to be. The orchata juice was watery with no flavor and the flautas I ordered were as if they had been re-fried because the meat was toasted and the dough was very bad on the outside.

Very good authentic food. A little odd they serve French fries with your order. Overall, I would recommend. 5 star

Whoever said this place was good...was definitely lying because I order three corn tacos which DIDNT HAVE ANY FLAVOR, NO SAUCE, AND THE CHICKEN WAS VERY DRY I was highly disappointed I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to come here. Just stick to Chipotle and taco bell if you actually craving for tacos 🤷🏾‍♀️

I’ve been dining at SOL for years now and it has never once been a bad experience. They have a wide variety of foods that ALWAYS taste amazing. The wait times are short and the staff is always pleasant, especially Jocelyn! She always goes out of her way to deliver amazing service. I’d recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We love Mexican food and trying menu items not commonly available. We tried the Guatemalan tamale stuffed with pork, and it was delicious. I have had plenty of Mexican tamales, but this was my first time trying a Guatemalan, wrapped in a green banana leaf. Their tacos are served either traditional or with sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and onion. They have outdoor and indoor seating available and a take-out window. The chips and salsa were great, to.

A group of us stopped here after kayaking and it was delicious and affordable with sweet waitresses. I would come back here for sure!

Delicious food, like homemade. Good service, quick, courteous, andbilingual. Mexican ambiance. My husband had the mojarra which is a fish fried whole to perfection, it comes with refried beans, salad and tortillas. I had a taco salad with chicken. We were both very happy with our choices.

This is exactly what you can expect if you were eating in Mexico. Real authentic Mexican food. Stop next door and pick up some Corona and bring your own Beer! Dine inside or outside on the patio. And the best part, they are dog Friendly. Muy delicioso y Fantástico

Went there Saturday I am currently going threw the worst food poisoning of my life, don't eat here. Terrible! Then after we headed out I hear the cook, which was the owner! Say she didn't feel good. Unbelievable!!

Have been to a lot of Mexican places around the Tampa area, none compares to this very unique place in Wimauma. The BEST flour tacos for a great price that will have you coming back for more. Also not to forget the chips with salsa and guac that has the perfect ingredients. The family and I keep coming back as the service is WONDERFUL.

Very cute with outdoor and indoor seating, waitress was new but made no mistakes in our order and kept up with refills. Food was excellent

My first time in many years eating at a Mexican restaurant, this is a cute little place, we sat outside and we had such a good time with friends the food was very good and there’s enough for 2 more meals for me, prices great, will go back for sure

WOW. Tried this spot on a whim with the wife and kids and i was disapointed. I was disapointed bc i only discovered this place now. $$ is very reasonable. Portions are more than generous. Service is top of the line. Atmosphere is fantastic. Indoor and out door seating. Do yourself a favor and try it.

Huge fan of the Chimichangas but the eggs and chorizo are a hit too! Great portions, fire Jarritos and dank chips & queso. The staff is always nice and attentive super thankful to have come across this spot! 10/10

When it comes to quality and value, El Sol comes second to none. My experience was amazing, from being greeted with a warm smile to the quality of the meat, I will certainly make this a regular occurrence. The owner took the time to walk me through the menu and answered any questions I had. The Al Pastor was so good I needed to take some home. The prices are also very reasonable, would definitely recommend to large families.

They were out of alot of things when we went so a little disappointed.

Absolutely horrible. Gave my family food poisoning. Called to inform them and they didn’t even give no genuine apology, just went straight into saying everything is clean and no one else has complained. They didn’t try to rectify the situation at all. After my order was nearly $40 Food went straight to the trash, had to go to urgent care, and spent the entire following day and a 1/2 in bed with excruciating stomach pain and throwing up. Beware! HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.

I made a Facebook marketplace purchase in wimauma and took a little drive through this unexplored area. There are mexican restaraunts, trailers, and food trucks everywhere. This one by far caught our attention of the others on Saturday so we stopped in. Totally authentic in every way. Between the music, the atmosphere, the decor, the menu....it was a fantastic experience. I had the chili rellenos and my husband empanadas. We received sooo much food. Everything arrived hot and was delicious. Huge menu. Professional and friendly staff. Clean. Indoor and outdoor seating available. It was a great experience and we will definately be back and highly recommending.

Love this spot! Delicious vegetarian options. Appreciate that the burrito comes with fries and ketchup already in the bowl, so you can make a California burrito. Fresh salad is a beautiful and fresh touch. Greeted at the outdoor window by a kind hostess who took good care of us. Cute, clean outdoor seating with good music (little loud by the road, but minor issue). Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a caterer in Wimauma do not use Sol Cocina. Working with them was an absolute nightmare! After a month of back and forth (which was a huge pain) and getting things finalized weeks before the event, they randomly reached back out to say that they would not be able to cater the event a week prior. They used a bogus excuse and left me without a caterer for an event with over 200 people. They would not allow me to pay with a credit card with an order of almost $4K and said that they would have to charge a fee but never provided what that fee would be. They simply said they would not be able to cater a week before the event. This struck me as strange and was reinforced after reading other reviews related to issues and potential scams related to credit card use. I could provide all of the terrible details of my experience here but just want potential customers to understand the absolute headache this was. Avoid the headache and find another option.

We ate in the other day, ordered tacos and they were horrible, the worst ones I've ever eaten, anywhere and food was served on disposable plates which I've never seen when dining in. We ate here a couple yrs ago before pandemic and I don't recall the food being this awful idk if they changed owner or what. I would not recommend at all based off recent experience.

I had the caldo de res here and it was delicious. Husband's food was super flavorful and the bistec someone else ordered was just as delicious. I would definitely recommend this place if you looking for savory and delicious Mexican food. Quick update, all the tacos are delicious and the Tortas are amazing.

Had the picadillo and a side of plantains. The picadillo wasn't as highly seasoned as I expected, but it was tasty and wasn't made with green olives which I don't like. The plantains were cut too thick, but otherwise they were good. I sat inside and the service was good. Inside is bare bones, but there were multiple TVs to keep your attention if you get tired of your cell phone. The appetizer nachos were a bit too deep fried for my taste, but the salsa was good.

I was so excited to try the food, I totally forgot to take pictures. I ordered the sopes , empanadas and tacos. Everything was average. The young ladies at the window were very helpful and nice. I took dinner to go, when I arrived home the food was still hot. I like the empanadas and sopes. The meat quality could be a little better. Overall I would try again.

Everything is SO delicious!!! Homemade, fresh, extremely flavorful. The vibe is 10/10, we even made friends with some chickens roaming around helping clean up the crumbs! Everyone is super nice and I can't wait to come back!! (Also, the prices can't be beat!)

Great cor tacos!! For me the best are the Asada filled, then the Carnitas. The green sauce is pretty spicy. Prices were good $2 per taco. The fixings were plentiful and presented beautifully. I will be back for more!

You can't go wrong at El Sol. Priced right and real Mexican food.

This was my first visit, and I have mixed feelings about this place. I had the taco salad. The shell was deep fried and put on to a Styrofoam plate and it burned a hole through it, but they loaded it up anyway. So, getting home and pulling it out of the bag was a huge mess. I don't understand how this is their everyday practice. The beans in the taco salad were more like soup, and there was not much flavor to the meal. I'm not sure I will go there again when there are so many other Mexican restaurants nearby.

Have always loved this place but you’d think raising the price a whole dollar per taco they’d be able to serve the same amount of meat, still season it and not leave bone in the meat. I had the last bite of my kids taco and cut my mouth on it. I’m so glad it was me and not them. Won’t be returning after being a faithful patron for the last 5 years.
