El Vallarta is our favorite Mexican food establishment in the Omaha metro area. The food is top quality and the few times ive order their house margarita it was pretty good as well. My wife and I spend more money than wed like to admit here, but its worth every penny. I always get their Tacos de Carne Asada, but I tried the Chicken on the Beach last time and it was amazing as well.

This is a very nice Mexican resturant with good food, friendly service, clean and beautiful dinning room area, and reasonable prices. You find a vast variety of Mexican food items on their menu and both the quality and quantity are very acceptable.

Ate here with a big group. The food and service were great! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Tonight wasn't great. Picked it as it has been good in the past and we wanted to sit outside. Service was very slow but it was not busy. Nachos were just soaked, no crispness to the chips due to all the moisture. Will come back as this is the first time with slow service and subpar food.

This is our special restaurant for my husband and me. I wish there were more stars to give--they deserve it!

Great place for Mexican food. First, the atmosphere is energetic. Credit goes to the welcoming staff and the wait staff. Second, the food is absolutely delicious. I had the beef burrito and two tacos with their hot sauces to add kick. Finally, they have great house margaritas, which will help you make a smart decision to stick around for more. I had Dos Equis green on tap for my delicious drink. I will return.

The worst Tacos al Pastos I have ever tried, tasteless $22.50 for 5 Tacos. Even the Michelada tasted like water with beer.

We love the fast friendly atmosphere at all of the El Vallarta locations. A local family owned restaurant.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Greeted, was joined by two others in my party. No wait, fast service, and the food really was exceptional. Can't go wrong if craving Mexican. A great experience.

Eat here often. Rarely have a complaint. Margaritas always strong.

Really used to love coming here but the food quality has gone down hill quite a bit. The margaritas were very disappointing and seemed like virgin margaritas. The ceviche came out semi warm which was odd and made it rather gross and unappetizing. The both of us feel ill after eating here. Doubtful we will ever return. For $75, there's a plethora of better options

I’ll start out by saying that I’m not goofing any of the exploited workers. The food here is some of Nebraska’s finest mayonnaise nutrient pill paste vaguely flavored with the chili powder found only in the back of an abandoned cabin with the brand being of unknown origins (did it get bought by a vacuum company? Who knows?). Whispers of flavor emanate in the restaurant, however this must be the work of a niche yankee candle imitating the atmosphere of the somehow more authentic tasting Taco Bell next door. I would rather travel to southern Texas next time I want a good burrito that is not textured like tile grout and salsa that doesn’t taste like fazzoli’s marinara. Prices are unfair for what you get but hey all good should be free anyway.

The food was good, they were very friendly, and the place was clean. I definitely recommend it!

Previously dinned in and food was ok for lunch. But service was not great. Just did carry out thinking that would help and instead waited 45 mins for an order of 6 dishes I had placed in advance. They didn't have it ready and 20 mins after we had been waited they apparently messed up and couldn't find our order so had to wait again, this time 25 mins. No apologies no credit nothing. Best part is that one of the 6 dishes was missing from the order too when I got home. Do not recommend.

This is a nice restaurant we have eaten here before and everything is always been good, so I figured tonight I will do a review.. They have an extensive menu, some people like that but I've always subscribed to less is more, have maybe 20 or so offerings and make sure they are perfection, but then again some people do enjoy having a large selection, if that's you, then you'll love it.. The restaurant is layed out nice, everything looks clean and fresh.. Steak burrito dinner was very good, excellent flavor, everything cooked perfectly.. Tamale was good. Chicken enchilada was good. For an appetizer we had queso with flour chips, this is something we frequently have here and it's always excellent.

Food is average .. nothing stands out to where I would recommend it over any other average place.

Typical Mexican restaurant menu items covers all the bases. Salsa was great, big chunks of fresh veggies. Food was very good, I had the Carnitas. Portions were large and filling. Service was quick and friendly, food came out timely and hot. Big place with nice atmosphere, pop music playing instead of a more typical mariachi style (which I like). Seemed clean and well kept. Has some TV playing sports.

I usually love El Vallarta in Gretna, but this location was horrible. We ordered lunch togo. I ordered the taco salad. Where was the salad? Basically a fried shell with sloppy meat, sloppy avocado and just a little lettuce. No tomato, cheese, etc. It was like eating soup it was so sloppy. No thank you!

We love this place. We eat here several times when we are visiting in the area. The food is good and the staff is great. Prices are reasonably.

They advertise "Happy Hour" but once you get there and order, they tell you "we don't have happy hour! Service was slow, only a few tables with customers.

I’m almost speechless at how amazing this was. The service was IMPRESSIVE to say the least. From the time we ordered to the time we got the food is was MAYBE 10 minutes MAX. And the food!? OH MY GOD! It’s like a spiritual experience. Instant drink refills. Instant everything. Thoroughly impressed!

Love the food and atmosphere. Service is exceptional. A favorite for my Mexican food craves. Fajitas are meat over veggies. (The way they're supposed to be and rarely are.)

I went w a friend that was a regular to have their popular fajitas. The food was terrible, the fajitas looked like boiled meat no crisp and it was bland. We both returned our plates to have them take it back and bring it back salty. My friend said it’s not how it was, the iced tea was so watered down I could tell just by looking at it. We asked for extra napkins and got 3, a poor experience all the way around. The restaurant is pretty nice inside and clean.

Food just mediocre and a little disappointing. The ground beef is ok. The shredded beef lacks depth and flavor and seems like it's just been sitting in a crock pot for a while. Shredded chicken is the same but dripping in water so the enchiladas and quesadillas were soggy. Rice, meh. So, overall not very appetizing compared to other places that are nearby here in Omaha like El Rancho or a Estillo Jalisco to name only two... My wife said the margarita was like a sugary Kool-Aid drink. It's clean and new looking inside. Staff is very nice. The atmosphere is also inviting for large groups. Not interested in going again for the food, though.

I ordered a tostada toast a guaco normally it came with beef and guacamole. I substituted grilled chicken. And wanted extra cheese because there wasn't any cheese on it that I could see. The tostada beef was 550 with the substitute of chicken they added $ $1.99 and the additional cheese is a la carte and it was $2.50 extra. So for an chicken tostada it was about $10. You're better off getting the Nachos Supreme where they give you everything and don't charge you individually. The waiter was good could put Harley speak English

The new Coco Loco Margarita.....AMAZING!!!!

I was expecting better based on the reviews. I was disappointed in the quality of the fajitas. They did not live up to expectations. I had the beef and chicken combo. Not up to my standards. I grew up in South O And have a higher level of quality for Mexican food, this place failed those standards.

I've tried this place 2 or 3 times and I just don't care for it.

Very delicious food blended with excellent customer service & ambiance. The waitress & the restaurant manager were very pleasant people to interact with. Reasonably priced with a good quantity of food served. Would highly recommend this place if looking to have some good Mexican food.

Our server was very kind and attentive. The food was delicious and came shortly after we ordered. I didn't want beans with my meal, but our waiter informed me, they could do a double portion of rice instead. It was was delicious!

I think ELVallarta is one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. There is a lot on the menu but i have missed some dishes like enchilada suisas and they made it. My wife says the margaritas are average at best but i have enjoyed everything i have ordered.

Our service wasn't the best and somthing was off with the chorizo in the molcajete i about spit it out.

This is my Go-To spot for top quality service and I love taking my friends and family there for the first time! It’s always such a good experience and the food is just mouth watering every time! Never disappointed and HIGHLY recommended! Isidro is also my favorite waiter!!

For some reason have never eaten here before; maybe because of the plethora of Mexican restaurants in the area. But this one is well worth checking out. I loved my shrimp chimichanga meal. My gluten-free spouse enjoyed her chicken enchilada dish. She even could eat the complimentary corn chips (no gluten) and we both loved the sauce that comes with it. The service was very good & attentive: the chips & refills just kept on coming. Mice atmosphere, too. We will be back.

It was a bit loud but that's because of a huge group with children. Food was good and there was so much if it. Will have leftovers for 2 more meals

Great food, not great service - confused order, several trips to get the order correct. Good atmosphere.

Had dinner there tonight. Food was ok, service not so much. Then when the bill comes I get charged twice on my card and they claim it wasn’t paid. I have receipts for two separate transactions for the exact amount of my dinner. I hope they resolve this issue but I probably will have to dispute the charge. After how I was treated there tonight I will never go back.

Quality has deteriorated since my first visit in 2019. It's ok but it was much better before. I always order the same thing.

Family gathering for my adult daughter’s birthday which El Vallarta has been her choice of places to eat on her special day for many years, so this is not our first time here; but I can not say that we are regulars to the establishment. Another thumbs up for good food and the restaurant gave off a cheerful/homey atmosphere. Servers were polite and prompt and seem to know when drinks were needed refilled. Total of 7 people were at our table and everyone really seemed to enjoy their food except for the Arroz con Mariscos, scallops were a bit too salty. Other than that, food was good and would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves Tex-mex food.

The molcajete was the best I’ve had in Omaha. Wow

This food here is AMAZING! The service is not so much. We went for a birthday dinner, we’rea family that LOVES Vallarta’s food. Our server was there long enough to take our order and run off. They had a large party so we figured once they got their meals things would get better. NOPE. Or server was MIA for the next 15 minutes and the whole table had no drinks. We had ordered a cheese dip that came out quickly. We didn’t receive chips with it though. We had to get up and ask the chip runner to fill our basket. Not his fault. He does the first basket and the server should fill as needed. When we got our food, we had to stop him from running off again so we could get drink refills. We were finished eating for 20 minutes before he asked if we needed boxes and brought our check. Unfortunately he received my record low tip as I used to be a server and never tip poorly.

Service was terrible. It took us a hour and 30 minutes to get our food. People that sat way afer our table were served before our table. The manager keep making up excuses and said that they order before us. Will not go back La masa has a lot better service

The service is awesome and the food is amazing.

Our first time coming here and it was okay. The customer service was great and the drinks were great. All the employees were very friendly and happy. We ordered the shrimp tacos, the steak Vallarta, and a kids cheese quesadilla. The shrimp was really good and had a lot of flavor. Our son enjoyed his kids meal. My husband didn't really care for the steak that came with his meal. It was really plain, no flavor at all. The shrimp and the veggies he had were good and so was the rice and beans. To drink we had the blue margarita and a Mechelada.

One of our regular ‘go to’s. Always good food and good service! A beer and Mexican food = a perfect meal!!!!

Best Mexican restaurant that I've been to in La Vista yet! Great selection of dishes, prices are not out of control, and *starry eyes* FRESH ingredients. Loved that they had some hot sauce on the table I rarely see anywhere else. Servers were attentive.

I was craving Mexican food for dinner. My boyfriend and I decided to try our El Vallarta. For a Frieday night, it was packed. Which is always a good sign. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, not bad at all. I ordered the chimichangas, and he got a buritto dinner. The food is what you would expect for a Tex-Mex restaurant. It was good. All tables are served chips and salsa. The portions are huge! I had enough to take home. Over is it was a good experience.

Had the Chicken (grilled) on the Beach, very delicious. Chicken was moist.

The place has a relaxed family atmosphere where you’re quickly greeted and seated. Our waiter promptly gave us the menu and took our drink orders. Shortly afterwards, we placed out main order. The food came out fast and hot! The queso was good but had too much bacon. The fajitas were delicious but would have been nice to have more tortilla. Also, the horchata is massive! Over all the portions sizes were large for one person but the food was nothing to write home about. The biggest let down was the horchata as it was watery. We’d recommend eating her if you’re in a pinch or happen to be in the area. The prices are reasonable and has options for dietary restrictions.

It is my team goto place. I have been going to this place over 3 years, consistent in taste, economic and best quality.

This was our 2nd time that we've dined here. The first time the food was good w We stopped for lunch last week and we both thought the food was tasteless. Also the higher pricing does not match the quality of the food

Hostess was rude, asked if there was a booth available her response was, not a clean one & walked off. Cheese dip was not hot, was actually cool before we finished it, service was very slow in a half full restaurant. Ordered mixed tortillas got only corn, asked anther server to grab some flower & they never came back, our original server only came back after we were done eating, food was Taco Bell level Mexican. Save yourself some money, this place was AWFUL!

My go-to place for Mexican on the south side

Normally the food is pretty decent, and we have been here many times. But our last visit was very disappointing. The fajitas were not sizzling or hot, and the veggies in it were hard. The cheese in the enchilada was cold and unmelted, and the taco shell was burned. The best part of the entire meal was the French fries in the kid's plate!
