We went here for dinner. This place is purely indoors and very nice. The waiters were very attentive and constantly filling waters and checking in. We got an assortment of appetizers, such as the BLT sliders, scallop seviche, Tuna nachos, deep fried avocado, and empanadas. We shared them all around. the portions were a bit smaller for sharing, but we made it work. Then for dinner we got a variety of the entres. 5 of us got the burger, and everyone deeply enjoyed it.

Haven’t been back to the island in 16yrs and only stayed one night. It wasn’t even a question where to eat! The food was just as I remembered! It was so delicious! Everything was perfect!

First time visiting Eli's although we've been to block Island before and walked by it several times. Came in early June when less busy and got seated right away around 630pm. My wife and I shared the mussels appetizer, the arugula salad, and the halibut. Everything was really great, and plan to come back to Elli's next year. Highly recommend - one of our new favorites on block Island for dinner.

Tiny gem with limited hours and limited menu. The food is top notch, prepared and seasoned well. Everyone in our party enjoyed a different entree and was delighted with their dish. Our server was very helpful and attentive. By far, our favorite meal on the island over the weekend. Definitely worth it!

This review is for the service staff: Came in with my mom for dinner and was told by the wait staff there would be a wait which was no problem until two people who came in without reservations after us were sat. Would not give my money to a place that lacks professionalism.

We felt lucky to get a table at this charming little restaurant. Everything was delicious. And always appreciate dog art!

The food just seemed day old, pulled from the fridge and heated just before service type of feel and flavor. Under seasoned, over priced, and sort of rude staff…hostess in particular. Was toward the end of season so maybe they stop caring… The barn at spring house, and winfields had a way better meal and much friendlier staff!

Tuna Nachos! If you ever find yourself in this adorable restaurant on this beautiful island, try the tuna nachos. The wife and I prefer to sit at the small, corner bar. This amazing spot doesn’t take reservations. They open at 6pm and it fills quickly even in the off-season. The food is cooked with love and the service is great. Even the art on the walls is incredible. I look forward to every time I’m fortunate enough to have a meal in this Block Island gem.

We have been given this dinner recommendation many times and due to the fact that we like to eat outside usually while in BI we never have tried it. Until tonight! It was a rainy windy night in Sept and we decided to try it….and we were blown away! The beef poutine appie and arugula and goat cheese salad were amazing! So fresh and flavorful. The scallops were so perfectly prepared I almost did not want to touch them! My husband had the chicken and it was like a small thanksgiving dinner in my mouth! Everything was seasoned perfectly and prepared without missing a beat! And the pineapple panna cotta was the most refreshing dessert to complete the meal! We will definitely return!! Thank you!!!

What's not to love about Eli's on Block Island. Service and atmosphere is top notch and the food is unique and flavorful! Perfect place for a quiet meal that allows for conversation while enjoying some incredible food. Perfect place to meet the parents or bring a date and enjoy a nice selection of wine.

If your desire is to depart with as much of your money as possible for nothing, then step right in. Little to celebrate as the wait staff cannot wait to have you leave - it felt as if they wanted you to drop a $100 and just walk out. Then we move on to the food - over-seasoned does not do an adequate job to describe it. Inedible does a better job. Not sure who is handling the kitchen. Wine list is actually ok. So to sum up - over-spiced, over-seasoned, and I was oversold to walk in there. Avoid.

Very bad experience, we queued at the opening at 6 p.m. and our turn arrived, the restaurant already seemed full.... Not a hello, the waitresses walked past us 2-3 times without saying anything and acting as if we weren't there! We stayed waiting for 5 minutes, they all stuck their heads and gave a fake smile when they arrived at the tables, in short we left and were very happy not to have had a seat.

We have been enjoying meals here for years and we’ve never been disappointed. Tuna nachos were Invented here and they’re delicious! Perfect amount of jalapeños to spice it up. Any of their fish, typically the Block Island swordfish, are excellent. This Visit I tried the Impossible vegan burger over the arugula salad with feta and it was amazing. Never would have thought I was eating a vegan burger, it tasted exactly like the real thing and actually better. Our waitress recommended it and was always friendly with a laugh as we reminisce over the number of years we’ve known her. Do add Eli’s to your list when on Block just skip the crab risotto surf & turf, not one of their best.

This place was so cute and cozy! We walked in at the end of our night for a drink and were able to have one at the bar. Pictures of dogs everywhere and bartender was very friendly. Would love to go back for food as menu looked awesome and the couple next to us had delish looking dinners. But most importantly, my husband left his wallet by accident and they mailed it back to him the next day! We were so grateful for such an honest and wonderful staff. This place is really odd. The waitress was wonderful. The owner / host was twitchy and didn’t really want to seat us in a half full restaurant. Trying to save tables for groups of 4 I think. They keep the water full at all times! After that it was all bad. Tonic was flat in my drink. Entree was absolutely tasteless. All of it. A group of friends and I had a wonderful dining experience at Eli’s in the early spring at the tail end of off season. It’s helpful to know that the space is small but full of character! With only eleven tables sometimes is difficult to get in; but it was our last evening on BI and we decided to give it a try. We got there early and got a table for two by the front window. Cocktails were spot on and enjoyed while we reviewed the menu. Becky, our waitress, was very knowledgeable of any question we had about the menu items. We settled on the Surf “n” Turf (Sirloin Steak and Scallops) and Seared Tuna Steak. All the food items were cooked perfectly, making it a perfect evening. My friend and I had dinner at Eli's and everything was amazing. The Statler chicken has this fried chickpea cake that was unbelievable. My friend had the Lamb Ragu. Delish!

Had a memorable meal at Eli's and would return in a heartbeat. The menu isn't long, but it's innovative and the food is delicious. Plenty of vegetarian possibilities which was a big plus for us. Decent wine offerings. Cozy atmosphere. One local resident told us that it's too cozy for her to have an intimate conversation with her boyfriend, but we found the noise level to be pretty low. Eli's would do well in an urban setting, but is a real gem in the small pond of BI. Highly recommend. NOTE: The place doesn't take reservations, so be there when it opens or be prepared to come back around 8pm for the second sitting. The place is very popular.

This was an ok place. Honestly I expected the menu to be better. It is very limited and I didn't think the food was that great. There is always a wait to get a table here as it's small. Absolutely great meal on the weekend of July 13. All four of us had the "best scallops, striped bass, swordfish, etc" that we have ever had, which includes fabulous restaurants and chefs in many places.
