We have been coming to Emilio’s since I can remember. When considering a bridal shower location, we kept coming back to considering Emilio’s. It exceeded expectations for all guests!! Planning was very easy, the staff was incredible, and the food as delicious as always. Would highly recommend hosting an event here!!

Very good food and a very unique style of food I've never had tapas before and this was a great introduction to tapas. Many little dishes to share among people you go with and a decent selection of alcohol to have a good drink while you're there.

A large group of family members we went to Emilio's and it was such a good time. The tapas were all delish the desserts ausume. The drinks, too. The wait staff is quick & professional. I will be back again. THANK YOU 😊

We have been going to Emilio's regularly throughout the years, mostly for special occasions. Last time we went there was to celebrate our mother's 91st birthday. We were a group of six and had our meal, everything was tasty and we were having a great time. As we were wrapping up, the host came to our table to let us know that we need to leave. It was a Sat afternoon and almost the whole place was empty. We were taken aback by this request but we left the restaurant. The host followed us to the parking lot and told us she did not like our attitude, I think by attitude she was referring to us talking casually about politics at the table. The host's lack of professionalism and hiding behind restaurant policy to force us out of the restaurant was appalling. Sad to see racism still in action in a Spanish restaurant out of all places. We will not be back.

My friend and I have always wanted to try this restaurant. So incredibly happy that we finally did! It was FANTASTIC! We dined for dinner on Wednesday, did not have a reservation but I do suggest you get one. We were lucky. I have had tapas before but this was outstanding! From the waitress to the busboys and possibly a manager, they were incredibly helpful, kind, made great suggestions and helped us through ordering for the first time there. I can’t say how wonderful our waitress was. Above and beyond, from beginning to end. The FOOD, omg the food was incredible, it was hard just getting a taste, the garlic potato salad (Patatas Con Alioli) honestly I could have eaten that all night long and would have been drunk on how good it was. So incredibly creamy and flavorful, do they make their own mayo? As many stars as the heavens for it. We also had the Chicken Croquettes (Croquetas De Pollo) which were fantastic little balls of yummy chicken and seasonings fried in little balls, so good! We also had the goat cheese with a tomato sauce served with little pieces of garlic bread, soooooo good! And there was a special on the night that we went that was these little meatballs with served in a tomato type sauce with a special kind of rice, absolutely incredible. And for some reason, I was obsessed with the very creamy butter served with bread. Who knew you could be so obsessed with butter and bread, but that butter! We had this amazing dessert with berries and ice cream that was incredible, not surprised, so so so good!!! The waitress suggested a lovely red wine, so delicious! We can’t wait to come back and to bring others with us to share in the deliciousness!!!

Tables are placed too close to one another. The paella had sand in it from a lack of cleaning the mussels. When we complained they said it happens. Not if you clean properly! Will not return, do not recommend.

What a great evening! My husband and I chose to relax and enjoy an impromptu dinner here on a Sunday. We enjoyed our tapas- escargot, the chicken with cumin sauce, and a meat and cheese board followed up by a fantastic Paella Imperatore! Everything was so fresh and delicious. Plus I loved the Spanish Rose accompanying it all! We dined in the covered patio area which was beautifully enhanced by the many annual flowers in boxes and planters.

I’ve been coming to this amazing Tapas restaurant for over 15yrs. I can’t say enough good things about it! The food is top tier and quality always A+ It’s by far, the best tapas restaurant in Chicagoland! Definitely worth the drive no matter where you live!!

Paella is still the best of all, Chicago worked thirty years ago, and since then I became a frequent customer.

We went here for Mothers Day made a reservation for 4 that day my sister flew in and surprised us. When we got to restaurant they said they could not accommodate us . So we were like 2 will sit at the bar and 3 at the table . Ridiculous there were plenty open tables and many open tables until we left. Then they said yes we could sit there they smashed 3 chairs on one side of this table totally uncomfortable.really awful and we watched empty tables outside and inside that woul have accommodated us. Honestly treated poorly. Short staffed and will not go back. Awful and quite frankly humiliating.

Tapas are always such a great way to bond with others and share delicious food -- essentially sharing everything and tasting all sorts of flavors. The BEST seafood dish I've ever had! Scallops with ribbon red and green peppers, potato onions, pine nuts in a safron butter sauce. My hubby had the Strip steak dinner that was over the top. Tender as can be. Pairedwith aa Spanish Chardonnay. WOW!

Came late afternoon, got a seat right away. Food and service was amazing. The place was packed by the time I left.

My first time here and I was expecting to find it to be perhaps my favorite go-to tapas place in the burbs. Far from it. Be prepared to get hard cheese, stiff and cold bread and a shortage of shrimp and small clams in your seafood paella. All I got was 2 shrimp and 2 clams in a panful of undercooked and super pasty rice. Sure, the calamari was plentiful, soft and the only thing that seemed decent. I was very dissappointed in the quality of preparation of my Paella con Calamares, Almejas y Gambas that you have to wait for 30 minutes to be "done" in the oven. Not worth the wait and it is over priced. Stay home, the black bean soup I had while waiting is nothing special, just puréed beans, you can make it yourself. The waitress didn't even tell me her name but she did talk politely although was just short of asking me how was everything when I was done and more interested in selling me dessert. No thanks, I will not be back.

Came from out of state to eat here after hearing my mom tell me about it for years. It definitely lived up to the hype and I can't wait to come back again.

This was a great place for dinner especially if you have a group. We were a group of 6 so we ordered a ton of tapas to try out. Cost per person wasn’t bad since we divided everything by 6. Service was very good. They took care of us and food came out fast. There were way too many tapas to go through so I’ll just summarize it. Each tapa dish hit the mark, didn’t remember any that failed. I would definitely come back for dinner. Parking was sufficient, you can easily find a spot.

Been going here for many years , but it’s been a while and had the opportunity to go on Sunday Dec10th. As usual the food was excellent and our server was great. The only thing u was disappointed with was the amount I was charged for a glass their Sangria which was 98% ice. When I door with the manager she was very pleasant and asked to speak with the owner and she stated they were not in this evening. As I was leaving I asked the hostess for the owners phone number and she proved me with their card. As I was walking the hostess called me back to speak with the owner and when I told the owner I thought I was over charged for the sangria she offered me a complimentary glass to take home. The owner had an attitude before I even opened my mouth. She was not Avery good business women and could have care lees . Owner Ann-Marie was rude and who the heck offers someone to drive home with open liquor .

Delicious Spanish food, I recommend preserving

Super delicious Spanish cuisine, 100% capturing the authentic taste of local tapas. The service is also incredibly warm and courteous. It's my favorite restaurant in Chicago.

Personally was not a fan of the food. It’s tapas so naturally we ordered about 8 dishes. It’s common to not like a few dishes at a restaurant but there wasn’t single dish that was good. One chicken dish for extremely chewy and fatty. Even the classic safe papas brava dish just seemed like boiled potatoes with some seasoning. The place has great ratings and others have recommended and service/atmosphere was still great so give a try if you’re curious or by the area but it’s not the best tapas I’ve had. There are better places to try.

Thanks to Emilios there's some variety and delicious alternative for good food in the Hillside/ Westchester areas. Yummy Mediterranean style tapas and dishes. Service was excellent. Rest rooms clean. Just need to add salt and pepper shakers on the tables. Tiny bread for butter could be a bit more substantial. Over all, very recommended ! 😊

Dining here is a good experience. Wonderful attention. As for food, the paellas and tapas are made by gods.

My daughter & her husband took my mom & I for dinner, this is where they chose, I am so so happy they did! Inside it's clean, warm, inviting, plenty of room for all. The young lady who took care of us was so nice, explaining everything and making suggestions. We ordered three small plate items at a time so we each were able to taste different things. We ended up trying a variety of different things (my favorite was the garlic shrimp, calamari & the garlic potato salad)- from start to finish it was a delicious adventure! And the desserts we chose - flan and bananas foster.....ohmystars!!! The staff was very thorough and attentive, we truly appreciated that!! We will go back again to try another round of different things!! Try it, it was a very fun, delicious dinner, you won't leave hungry!!!

I made a random stop into Emilio's and was disappointed, only with myself, that I hadn't come here sooner. The food was delicious, fairly priced and my server Axel, was amazing and attentive. I could not recommend this place more.

This was my first time at a tapas place, and it was quite an adventure. Also I have a soy protein allergy so sharing food with a bunch of friends was a big role of the dice. Thankfully it went well for me, and the food was absolutely delicious. I did read the entire menu before I arrived, looking for any dangers, in the end I ate everything except a couple of items that had been fried. Generally fried food can be more risky for people with a soy protein allergy, I assume because the same oil can be in there for days thus increasing the chance it will get contaminated with soy.

Great service from servers. Food was good. Next time I'll try the paella.

We frequented the Emilios downtown location often until it closed. So it had been several years since we had been to Emilios, and Emilio did not disappoint last night, 9/2/23. Emilio, himself, came to greet us at our table and he thanked us for visiting from the city. They gave us a complimentary before and after dinner tapas. This place always makes you feel like family; you can feel and taste the passion that goes into this restaurant. Thank you Emilio and your team for what you do, it is unmatched in today's society!

A neighbor recently suggested we dine here and wow - so glad she introduced me to this place. Great vibe here - mosaics on the walls, floors - a nice little bar, an outdoor and indoor area.
