The empanadas are amazing! The ordering and pick up is a lil inconvenient but if you live in the area and you are already accustomed to the procedure then I think it’s worth it. I wandered around downtown on a work trip. Found this spot. But had to order from a QR code and wait a bit for the food. I ended up spending much of my lunch break just waiting because it was busy. But it was totally worth it. Its atmosphere was only giving 3 start because well …you can’t go inside. But the outside is cute and has a modern take away culture for many of the spots here. I guess they pivoted during Covid and stayed this way. Not sure how this will help or hurt their profits moving forward because a small part of me wanted to walk away and find something else. I don’t eat fast food though and already dedicated 20 minutes just trying to locate it.

It has definitely changed. I have been going for years, and the food quality has deteriorated. It seems as though they changed the way they make their food. It was very greasy and disgusting. The empanadas also tasted very unhealthy. I do not plan on going back again. Don't waste your money on this place. It is not worth it.

They are covered in canola oil. Such a disappointment! I used to love Empanada Mama. I am unsure if the recipe changed or if I just noticed the strong taste of canola oil. They are promoted as baked with the assumption that they are healthier than a fried alternative. However, if they are doused in seed oil, they are no better than fried.

A take out place with delicious empanadas. We got the Korean and Argentinian beef and chicken salsa & cilantro with two dips. Everything was delicious but it is a bit hard to find a place to sit and eat them (just a picnic table in the back alley).

Love these empanadas! They’re so delicious, and they pair so well with the sauces. Personal fave is the Mexican Street corn, but there’s always a great selection! Honestly, these are always a win.

Food was good. It is a takeout, walk up window pickup only. I placed my order on line and was asked to leave a tip (defaulted to 20%) during the ordering process. Would have given more stars but was very annoyed being asked to give a tip before having any interaction or receiving service from any staff.

They are probably delicious when fresh however, I believe mine were microwaved. The pastries was soggy, and the empanadas were limp to the point where it kind of folded over in my hand. I am used to hot empanadas even after they heated them up for me. They were barely warm. However, staff is friendly and they have a good selection. I may have just gotten there at the wrong time. Seems like the sauces were all mayonnaise. Based, they should add chimichurri.

The empanadas are really good! I love that they have a wide variety of options. Plenty of vegetarian options as well. I recommend this place and we will visit again! There isn’t a place to sit on this location but regardless the food quality is great!

The food was really good , although on doordash it's 4.50 for 1. Also it did not specify quantity. Was really let down with how much for a single empanada . Needless to say I'm still starving and going to just eat cup of noodles now... 😥

My wife and I picked up some empanadas for the first time last night. They were very fresh and tasty. They even labeled the box so we knew what was what with the variety we ordered. The sauces are great too! The only thing I think would be helpful is to label the sauces so we could tell what they were without tasting them first . Highly recommend if you are in the area! Thanks !

Really yummy empanadas! I'll definitely be back for more!

First, used to be able to go in and order or even sometimes sit at the little counter to have a bite to eat. But they no longer even allow you in the building. Also the filling that’s inside the empanadas has definitely decreased. I have come here several occasions and there’s hardly anything in it. The prices have drastically went up and it doesn’t even include sauce. They never even give you a napkin with your purchase you have to ask for a napkin. What they have on their daily menu and when you arrive several times it has been different than what it will say sold out after it already says it’s available online. Also online it says the price is 3.75 for one but when you call if you order three it’s $12. Makes no sense. Definitely not impressed with this place anymore, Nor will I be returning or recommending any more. Also I noticed when someone makes a comment the owner always seems to justify And make an excuse for whatever instead of owning up to it.

Empanadas were good however they gave me a rotten dip that was clearly spoiled to the point where it had solid ring inside it... will not be going back.

The service was great! The food was good, just not what I expected when I heard empananda. Admittedly, I didn't do research before going, but I was hoping for some authentic flavors as well. I did enjoy the crust it was a little greasy but palatable.

They messed up our order - we ordered six empanadas. Three vegetarian and three with meat. Instead of one of the vegetarian there was chicken pot pie and I ate half of it before realizing. This is NOT GOOD. We didn’t even order a chicken pot pie. Be very careful of this place if you have dietary restrictions. I DO NOT eat meat and feel sick now. We’ll have to cut open each one to check now. Not how I wanted to spend dinner time today! DO BETTER!

Super cute pickup window for tasty fusion empanadas! Staff were great at walking us through the options, and we found a nearby seat to chow down. We enjoyed the dessert pumpkin caramel empanada and couldn't pick our favorites among the Mexican corn, Thai curry chicken, and Argentinian beef ones... The sauces were flavorful and fantastic as well! It's fun watching all the kitchen activity too through the window. Will definitely be back!

The ladies up front, Ali and Zoe were very friendly and helpful for a first time empanada mamaer. Although the food was slightly dry but overall service is up there for Daniel’s top 10 customer service at restaurants in Doylestown.

Great quick snacks. Would be good if there were some ready you could just grab. It's a hatch in a parking lot so low for atmosphere

So good I almost don't want to tell anyone, but they deserve the props! Always fast, friendly service, and the empanadas are so amazing I've actually bitten my tongue and fingers in my haste to get them in my mouth. I'm vegetarian [mostly] and there's always plenty to choose from. Also - Girl Power!

The sauces/dip makes these protein packed little pastries amazing and unlike any other you've tried elsewhere. Small edible treats that will make your belly smile and appetite satisfied.

Good empanadas. I like how they are baked and not fried. It is only for take out. A little pricey for the size of them, but they are a novelty in a historic town.

Good empanadas but they should not call themselves an Argentinian restaurant. Their flavors and type of services are not argentinian style. They are “American empanadas”, if a label is needed.

Empanada Mama was a nice lunch. Easy to call in our order. We chose a box of six with two sauces - heated for pickup. It was organized and labeled well. They are not heavy or over filling - most of ours had a large air pocket. 3 would be a decent lunch, 4 wouldn’t make you a bad person. We saved room for the Cocoa Carmelita bars… this was the correct choice, because they are right tasty.

Found this gem 5 years ago on a visit from Boston. Returned today and it’s just as amazing as we remembered. The fillings are so flavorful and the pastry is light and flaky. Highly recommend the Korean beef and the BA beef. 💯

We did a take out order of the spinach and feta empanadas and were pleased with the fast service and fine food. Simple store on a back street serving really good food. Staff members are friendly and helpful.

This is my first time, and I'm kicking myself for not coming sooner. Fantastic!! Light, flaky crust, delicious fillings, and the staff suggests the best sauce for your empanada! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Tried the Korean Beef and Chipotle chicken, they were alright definitely a little dry. Will have to try with dipping sauce next visit. Other than that service was good from the ladies at the door!

A quentissential neighborhood favorite is what I consider Empanada Mama to be; consistently friendly, personalized, and warm service. Even when you phone in an order, they are genuinely pleasant which reflects on their food items. Baked empanadas that comes in varying flavors and all of them are pure delight. Although i am partial to their Korean Beef, Argentinean beef, and Chimichurri chicken. Always a guaranteed winner for me! When you order multiple flavors , they take the time to label the inside flap portion of the box lid to help you recognize which empanada flavor is on a designated section in the box. Minor details is appreciated. Parking however can be a hassle since they're in the heart of the borough..so bring quarters! 😄

The Korean Beef empanada never disappoints!

I drove 1 hour each way to get the empanadas ,,, it was so worth it. The pastry is so light & flakey. We reheated them at 400 for about 10 minutes- next time I’d do 11 or 12. We took them to the Eagles football game with friends - they disappeared !!!! Go ahead - give’em a try. I’ll be going back unless she opens in Haddonfield 😉

They lost my business when there was an additional charge to use a credit card. When you inconvenience customers to have to get out cash, you'll lose people who find doing business with you to now be a hassle.

Excellent empanadas! Vegan options. Lovely service. There's no seating though, so best to order ahead for pickup, especially when it's cold out. Still worth freezing my butt off though 🥶😁

They were okay , my in laws are from argentina so i knew going in it wouldn’t taste the same . That being said the meats are good . Buffalo chicken was on the dry side . The dipping sauces are weird to us only Because we don’t use dipping sauces to eat empanadas. 6/10 overall

We found this location after reviewing the great reviews and it was right. The empanadas are delicious and you can't just have one. Definitely will come again and will recommend it!

I never had a impanda until last 10/22 22 Thursday, my coworker Lindsey brought in Korean beef,Mexican corn,Buffalo chicken, they all were delicious well worth the money thanks for a great experience can't wait to get more the sauces we're amazing also

Was in Doylestown today looking for lunch. EmpanadaMama popped up as a suggestion on Google. Me: These photos and menu items look like really great empanadas, but surely they can’t be as good as my long-favorite empanadas from Kearny, NJ. Empanada Mama: Hold my beer! These empanadas are the best I’ve ever had. Flakey, buttery crust. Tender; not chewy. Creative combinations of quality fillings. Really solid crema and sauce offerings. Friendly service and they take the care to arrange the items in a box with clear notations as to which empanada is which. Must try if you are in Doylestown. Definitely worth the trip from points beyond. Plus, it’s much closer than Kearny!

I’m upset to live so far from this place, I was in Doylestown for the day and someone recommended I try them. The empanadas were so flavorful and delicious. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area!

Empanada Mama is tucked into a little alleyway/parking lot between State and Oakland Streets, I'm glad I found it when i went earlier this week, but disappointed in its execution. I will be back, but my first and only visit thus far left a lot to be desired. While there was a good variety of empanadas, asking any question about them and the variety of sauces was met with confusion and discontent. I realize its 2022 and I probably should have just ordered online like normal people do, but it was a place we stumbled upon, and I didn't think it would be such a hassle to interact with a human for a change. My only important question was whether there were eggs in any of the empanadas, to which I got a response "probably not, i don't think so". Ok, I guess... I wasn't gonna push it, but not wanting to risk it, we didn't feed any to our son. Fairly certain there was a good amount of egg wash on the empanadas, but I honestly do not know. Your staff was more interested in hanging out with their friends than they were in serving their growing line of customers. I asked about what sauces go well with the 7 empanadas we bought, but the response was brushed off, again, because the priority was hanging out with the non-employee friends. All in all, the food was mostly tasty, some of the empanadas were dry, but I did enjoy most of them. I'll try it again, but at the risk of sounding like an old curmudgeon, I'll have to go when the adults are working.

Holy Empanadas, Batman! Do yourself a favor and try an assortment of empanadas. The staff is friendly and extremely detail oriented, providing helpful sauce suggestions for first time guests as an order add-on. There isn’t any indoor or outdoor seating, but we took our little one to the nearby (Burpee) park, where we ate our hot empanadas on a picnic table. So good we ordered more for the road. Our favorites (of the ones we tried): Bacon Date, Korean Beef, Honey Sriracha Chicken, Mexican Street Corn, and for a fall dessert, the Caramel Pumpkin Pie 😋🎃🥧! Highly recommend!

So good, and freshly made! The empanadas were hot and the shell was soft and flaky. We got the traditional beef as well as the Korean beef, which has onions and is a bit on the milder side in terms of spice. We went during the Doylestown Arts Festival so there was quite a line and wait, but it was totally worth it.

The empanadas are good but service is not. We ordered 5 vegetarian empanadas and after waiting 1o minutes they sent one chicken empanada by mistake. We had to get back in line and when we asked them to replace it , they did not apologize and they gave us a cold empanada as replacement and sent back the chicken empanada in the same box.

Highly recommend! I had three of the vegan sweet potato black bean empanadas with the vegan chipotle sauce! Very very good. The crust is nice a light and doesn’t over power the filling in either taste or texture. My one mild complaint would be that I’d like more beans in the potato/bean mixture. Was overly sweet potato like.

Wow! Just wow! I have been wanting to try Empanada Mama for years and I finally got the chance to grab lunch there this afternoon. I tried the B.A. Beef de Argentina, Chicken with cilantro, and the Mexican corn empanadas and had them heated up to order. Every single bite tasted fresh, and the crust was beautiful, shiny, crisp, and golden-brown. I recommend trying the poblano crema dip! It paired really well with all three flavors I tried. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu, and to grab some to bring home for family dinner.

This place is amazing! Great empanadas and great sauces!

They provide an overwhelming variety of flavors in such delicious wrapping. Our particular favorites are the Korean BBQ and the Mexican street corn, but every single one of the options is delectable, and the sauces pair so well and support the flavors and textures in the warm, crispy, flaky puffs.

First time trying empanadas. A little smaller than I expected but delicious. Very flakey and buttery.. Highly recommend the Korean Beef.

Who ever complains about this place needs to stop. Was doing a build and this place was recommended by the home owner . Shame on me for only buying 2 . Definitely would go back and ordering a few for the road. Update : 4/23 on the way back from Warminister had to stop in ! got 4 for the road this time (added pictures) We need one of these in Allentown

I loved all of the different flavors they had to offer, I honestly wish I could have tried them all. I got four flavors and the only one that was a little lack luster was the buffalo chicken. It felt a little too dry for my liking. Outside of that everything was great, even the staff working was friendly.

Highly recommend! Everytime we visit Smoke Shack in doylestown I make it a point to visit Empanda Mama!

Korean beef filling was so good!

We had my 30th birthday celebration and they catered! Pretty sure they only stayed open for us to pick up our food yesterday. There was a snow storm and they weren’t open to the public! Not to mention the food was amazing

Today was my first time ordering from Empanada Mama. I ordered 3 different empanadas for delivery: Korean beef, Buffalo chicken, and spinach & feta. All three of them were perfectly delicious. The crust was just the right amount of flakey and the contents were very flavorful and well spiced. I also ordered the recommended sauces to go with each empanada and they complemented each one so well. They were kind enough to label the empanadas and include heating instructions (which was not needed as they were still hot when they arrived). I will certainly be going back here often. Thanks for the good food!

Finding a good empanada spot around this part of the state of Pennsylvania is like finding a needle in a haystack, thanks for the resource of my of my worked we able to find this one. We were running against the clock went we call and they told me they were closing in thirty minutes, good that we made on time. Staffs are very nice and kind, they welcome us with a smile even though they were almost closing. I order there empanadas: Pepperoni & Mozzarella with Roasted red peppers, mozzarella cheeses with pepperoni. Buffalo Chicken Shredded a chicken with MAMAmade buffalo homemade sauce, gorgonzola, and mozzarella The B.A. Beef Seasoned ground beef with peppers, onions, garlic, cumin, paprika, and scallions All empanadas were delicious, a bit small and baked with make it more healthy. I really recomend this place. They also offer side sauces to dip on the empanadas

Delicious. The empanada is crusty and flaky. You though the. In an air fryer, over or whatever for a few minutes and they come out crispy and delicious. Great variety to please any taste. We had the Korean Beef, Chicken Chipotle and Street Corn. All very good in their own way. Two free sauces since we paid in cash stood on their own. Siracha and Cilantro. Stop in quick and bring them home for a great meal.

I ate here once years ago and loved it! But then I came back this weekend, had to stand in the freezing cold to wait for my food. Went to eat it and it was cold. I didn’t see any warm up option online as read in a response to another review. So maybe make that more noticeable somehow? I also got sick from them this time around. For 11.00 for 3 empanadas and 2 very small sauces, wasn’t worth it.

We got the some chicken, some corn and some mushroom empanadas with a couple of sauces. They were all excellent.

Really good , but $3.50 each.... expensive for what it is. You wait for your food on the sidewalk, Not enough parking spaces, very expensive. One time is enough....YOU HAVE TO TAKE OUT. NO THANKS.
