the food and service was good, what i didnt like its they charge for the service 18% plus they ask for tips my order was around 85 and end up paying 99 something almost 100 they never ask for refills but other than that food was delicious.

Good food and setting. Just wish they had a happy hours on weekdays and that parking was better in the area.

This was our first time eating at Empire of the Incas. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, the service and the food. There were several families with children having dinner, while we were there. The ambiance was casual and very pleasant. The service was good and the food wa simple and tasty. The portions were big. My husband and I both ordered a pisco sour before our meal. We liked it a lot. We also enjoyed the papa a la Huancaína we shared as an appetizer. For an entree, I had bistec a lo pobre, which consisted of a steak with two fried egss on top (the eggs were overcooked), sweet plantains, rice and French fries. My husband ordered the lomo saltado and he loved it. The tres leches we had for dessert was OK. Our servers were always attentive and polite. The restaurant is spacious, clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We ordered the house salad, ceviche and mariscos and it took about 20 minutes for our food to come. When it finally came, they gave us the wrong order and we had to wait for another 15 minutes for the right order. I wished they brought out the salad and ceviche first and the cooked food last. The waiters never came to apologize or explain the delay(we had to ask and then they apologized) nor refill our water or ask if we needed more drinks. The food was good and the portions were large. We hope you improve your customer service - For the price you charge, service needs a lot of improvement.

Great service and delicious food! Large food portions, tasty drinks! I recommend ordering the passion fruit mojito, you wont regret it! They recently renovated inside with beautiful murals I was in awe. Cant wait until the tables are placed outdoors.

First time trying this restaurant about a week ago. I saw all of the great reviews and was truly excited to try. Service and atmosphere was 10/10. The food was not and the only reason for 2 stars. I'm not sure if we went on an off night for the chefs, but it was not what we expected it to be. The bandeja paisa was definitely under salted. The meat was cooked all the way, but in all honesty, we weren't sure if it was possibly boiled first. The beans were not tasty, the eggs had so much oil and again under salted. The only good thing were the plantains. The lomo could have been way better if it had salt and less fries. You can't really tell from my picture, but I promise it was alot of fries. I filled up the small appetizer dish of fries I couldn't eat. I did have an empanada that I enjoyed, though. Unfortunately, I don't think I can give it a second try. There were too many things that didn't taste good. I am happy that others feel the opposite!

The food is good, what I don't agree is when you order takeout they give you 1 small sauce and if you want 1 more you have to pay extra money, prices are not cheap enough to charge you for a sauce. In truth, of many, too many Latin restaurants that I have visited, this has only happened to me here !!

Food is amazing here! Only bummer is communication is kinda difficult because of the language barrier but that doesn’t mean I’m going to knock off a star. They are still so amazing!

Definitely not my favorite spot for Peruvian food. I have had better. Ceviche mixto was below average and the parihuela soup was flavorless.

Unfortunately I didnt have a good experience, being peruvian myself i was very disappointed, i order arroz chaufa and it look like it was old rice with big chunks of it, the chicken was over cook, very hard to eat and no flavor at all. The prices are also so high for what you get, and the gratuity for 2 people is also included!! When with my sister for a quick lunch from work and end up paying so much for food we didnt even enjoy. Is sad because the food was so much better in the past with reasonable prices, probably under new management.

Stopped in for lunch on our way north. The restaurant had a few people inside and outside. Located on the Main Street of downtown it was easy to find. Beautiful mural on the back wall with other interesting art on the side walls. The food was good and filling. Service was acceptable, water could have been refilled sooner. All the portions were filling and we left full.

Stopped for lunch here. The staff were friendly, I ordered pescado sudado, which was really good it had a little kick to it which complimented all the flavors. I would definitely be coming back to try their other dishes.

Our first visit to Empire of the Incas. We got Ceviche Matchu Pichu for 2 and a large fry (for two of us). The food was amazing. I chose spicy ceviche and there was a lot of food here; we have leftovers (we had a very large fry too). Friendly staff and good location on Main St. Will be back.

I must admit this is my favorite place for food and their famous Corona margaritas. The staff is super friendly and very professional.

It's a nice place, and if you're not familiar with Peruvian food, then I would say go check it out. However if you are familiar with Peruvian food then you may not be very impressed. My Peruvian wife only gave it a 5 out of 10. The flavor and quality is lacking.

There was a time a while back when this place wasnt as good as it used to be years ago ,but recently I gave it another try and to my surprise it was once again good ,the place was repainted and redecorated they added some tables outside and the food and drinks were good

This place has gotten a well deserved makeover because last time we were here it did not look this good. Menu has changed too. Atmosphere is great, friendly staff& delicious food. Will definitely be back. Their ceviche was to die for, super fresh and tasty. They only messed up one of the dishes, they gave us a lomo saltado when we order tallarín saltado, which my husband ended up taking cuz we were starving. Other than that everything was great.

Vengo desde weschester a Danbury CT por el ceviche . Y mostrarle a mis amigas lo rico que es . Pero me lleve una mala impresion . De parte del servicio. En la comida pedi una orden de choros a la chalaca. No debe llevar aguacate . Y el savor debe ser como ceviche . Eso savia a ensalada. El ceviche el savor era picante con agua . No senti el limon . Y la presentacion mala . La causa estuvo mas o menos y el chaufa de carne no tenia huevo . La chicha morada muy dulce y demasiada canela . Espero mejoren . Hasta otra oportunidad

Food was great nothing about the food, however the customer service was not what I expected. Asked a simply question and received attitude for no reason.The place was empty so a little more effort to greet and help customers would be appreciated.

My husband and I came to Empire of the Incas for the first time last night. It was a spontaneous choice, and we were not disappointed. The decor is colorful and fun. The food we were served was delicious and presented beautifully. We were treated very well by the staff who were all pleasant and eager to help.

I've been going to eat at this restaurant for at least 16 years. I truly like the food and staff is extremely nice and courteous. Place was recently renovated and menu was updated. Owner has decided to raise prices on dishes $4 -$5 each plate. Lomo saltado is $24, ceviche $25 .... that's crazy. If you are willing to pay such high prices for food, there are other very nice peruvian restaurants that are worth visiting. Prices in danbury are similar to NYC. I will not be recommending this place to friends and family like I used to. Visit Mochica restaurant in Norwalk, food is amazing and great prices.

My girlfriend and I were visiting the area and were recommended this restaurant by a friend. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was delicious. Cocktails were also great! We got the ceviche de Mariscos as an appetizer to share and Milanesa de pollo for myself and gf got the pescado a lo Macho. Fresh fish and fresh ingredients and a great Peruvian vibe. Will definitely visit again soon!

My colleagues and I are always ordering lunch from this place and it's absolutely worth the drive from Ridgefield to Danbury to get to enjoy their food! The staff is exceptionally friendly and the place is spotless clean! The food is awesome and you get a great value!

This place is one of the few that has done thing the right way!! They opened the entire front of restaurant to make it Covid safe if you want to sit inside, or tables set nicely outside , the food and drinks are fantastic, clean nice place, congrats thumbs up 👍👍

This place is awesome! Between everyone at our table we had empanadas, calamari, ceviche (plain and spicy), pollo saltado, arroz chaufa de camarónes. Everything was amazing and authentic. The drinks were also delicious! The restaurant has a great vibe and the staff was super friendly. Don’t miss out on this place!!!

I love coming here for lomo saltado and ceviche mixto! The only thing I dislike is they add gratuity in your check without having any signs and I will understand if it’s four people and more but it was only me and my husband. Tip is not a problem we owned three restaurants in the past. As well, we seem to always have a problem with a blonde girl with glasses , she is never friendly with us and last time we were there she was talking about about a customer.

Amazing place with amazing food!

So far good food every time I have a taste. Usually i order out. First time dining in since they renovated. I reccomend dining in. Food is better or should i say fresh. Restaurant is open and airy, they definitely made sense of the space. My favorite is ceviche de pescado. Tried the anticucho for the first time here. Very good.

This one is all about the Lomo and chaufa!! The Pollo A la brasa is good.

We are not from Danbury but decided to stop by based on reviews. Parking was an issue as we had to pay the meter. The restaurant did not assist in providing change for the meter, the food was so slow coming out, my husband had to get up in the middle of his meal and walk to a convenient store to get change. I found the food good enough but not worth the hassle.

The service and the food here is outstanding.

Fantastic spot with a fun, laid back vibe. It's authentic Peruvian cuisine and you can tell the owners are passionate about good food. I could eat the ceviche all day (which is lucky because the drinks are too delicious for an empty stomach.) Also incredible how quickly they put together an outdoor section. I went there last summer when outdoor dining was first re-opening and it was one of the only places that offered it. Recommend it!
