I literally just finished eating and had to review. My husband and I have found a new place. The falafel and chicken shawerma sandwich is really delicious, along with the tabouleh salad. I ate all of the salad and falafel sandwich. I can't wait to reorder from here again.

How have I lived nearby for 20 years but never ate here?!? It’s SO good. $11 for the falafel plate is so worth it. I was able to make 2 meals out of it cus it came with 8 falafels & 2 pita breads to dip in the hummus

Delicious Better than most middle eastern food around. Bright clean looks like somewhere you might go in a beach. Usually there are Middle Easterners eating there. Ran out of vegetables for grilled veg platter today n it's delicious. Very simple decor and seating

I got the beef platter it came out to $17. The food was alright.. chicken and steak might be better. The plate would have been better priced at 12-13 not 17.

Food is amazing! I always get the combination platter and it’s so delicious. Best Baba Ghanoush I’ve had- it’s my favorite thing on the menu. Can’t forget the baklava- so good! We always pick up & it’s easy to order online & my order is always correct. This is our new favorite local spot!

I love eat a lot of Mediterranean food and this was so incredibly good. The hummus and the falafel was fresh and generous, the stuffed pita was legitimately the best I ever ever had, I can’t wait to go back.

I had the combination patter of chicken kabob and ground kabob. Perfect and a lot of food. I will be eating here mor often.

Hidden gem, this is a small restaurant. Take out always hits the spot! Great hummus and I recommend the chicken shawarma platter. Their garlic sauce is great, I love the chicken pita 🥙. I frequent this restaurant and their quality of food is great.

Falafelji is the most decent 'Mediterranean' style food on south Harlem. Be cautious on Fridays and Saturdays, this place sells out of their falafel which is my favorite, and at 5 bucks for a falafel pita sandwich, you can't beat! You'll be full and you'll feel smart for not eating any animal protein, lol.

Was craving for shawarma so i went around the neighborhood and i saw falafelji. Tried shawarma platter it was good but i wish theres more of that white sauce on my meal ( or i should have asked them) anyway still good!

This place is amazing. Every time I am in the suburbs I try to stop by. The chicken shawarma sandwich is my favorite and their hummus is the best hummus I have ever had.

Their chicken shawarma sandwich is the bomb! The herb Fries w the garlic Mayo - yum! Falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, lentil soup - all good. Fast & friendly service. It’s so close to my house. We should eat there more often. Food quality & price are great!

A Great Neighborhood spot for good Eastern Mediterranean Meals. A little pricey but we'll worth it! The Lentil Soup is healthy and quite tasty. Falafel is freshly made, every day. Meals are made fresh, so there might be a wait, but it's worthwhile. Diners may eat in or order to take out, under normal circumstances!!. Kebabs are quite tasty, Salads are large. A go to spot for Mediterranean food! Closed on New Year's Day, however for the last few days, they've had MANY customers, a sure sign that this is the IN Place to go for excellent Middle Eastern Meals in the near SW Suburbs! Meals & Pita Sandwiches are Sooo good, that, once in a while they might run out of a menu item before closing time. Do, go early in the evening & you won't be disappointed 😉 Due to the current Pandemic, only delivery & pick up orders are available.. the Menu has changed, slightly, but Falafelji is STILL the best spot around for Eastern Mediterranean Foods. Yum!

I’ve only ordered through Uber Eats. This is my favorite Mediterranean spot near me. The food is good, I enjoy the flavor and the portions for the price! I’m kind of addicted lol I’ll be ordering again today! I do wish it came with sauces vs paying only cause I like them all!

Great affordable Mediterranean food in a no frills atmosphere. They are set up for carry out with a couple of tables available for dine in. Pleasant staff. I had the falafel sandwich which was very good as were the grape leaves. My friend had tabbouleh - a little too lemony and I love lemon and no tomatoes. Can't wait to come back and try their shawarma.

So delicious with incredibly generous portions! We especially enjoyed the Kafta platter and the Baba Ghanoush.

We were visiting Illinois and wanted to stop by and get Halal food. we found Falafelji as it was the closest Halal restaurant to us. The owner was disrespectful towards us over a bottle lid that was dropped accidentally, owner was very aggressive and racist.

Muy rica comida mediterránea. Creo que la mayoría de los pedidos si no es que todos, son para llevar. Siempre tienen bastantes pedidos. Si no quieres esperar un rato te recomiendo pedir tu comida por adelantado. Me encanta el plato de Chicken Shawerma.

Food was disappointing. They give you a lot, but the taste isn't very good. All prices are different then what is listed on menu. Their Jerusalem salad was not bad. Would not return.

Whenever I'm in the area in the evening i grab some takeout from Falafelji for dinner. Hummus & baba are both bright & flavorful. Shwarma is great. Chicken kabob is a real superstar.

This place is truly amazing, everything is fresh, the falafel is moist yet crunchy. This is a tiny restaurant with a few tables to eat in. I have tried other larger places that were more expensive, they do not compare to Falafelji!

Great choice for vegetarians who want something different! It's cute here. You can dine in or take out. It can be very busy, but the staff is always nice. Remember to place your order online ahead of time if you're in a hurry. There's lots of parking which is great! The rice they have is amazing. Yum yum! We like Kafka kabob the most. I've never been disappointed here.

Never open with food ready at 11. Man arrives about 1010 or 1015 blasting music daily. Upon entering eatery no hand washing just put on gloves. Experienced very bad behavior.. I do not reccomend. .

This place is a gem—their green (jalapeño?) sauce is amazing, all the proteins are cooked well and flavorful, and the small side salad of diced vegetables brightens everything up. I miss Falafelji a lot, if I lived nearby I’d be there a couple times per week.

The food was tasty but pricey. $5 to add a small portion of chicken was a downside.

Food is alright, certainly not one of the best middle eastern places but I liked coming here when I’m around. Huge issue tho is they close at 9pm but they turn up the chairs and you can’t eat in from 7:30 lol what’s up with that… If you’re willing to lose business this way suit yourself.

I’m still relatively new to the Brookfield/Lyons area. I was in search of a good falafel joint. This place was a very pleasant surprise. The food is amazing. It’s flavorful and cooked to perfection. I get the shawarma combo and the grilled meat combo. The falafel is so so good too. I found this place because of the reviews so I wanted to make sure to leave one myself. I highly recommend this restaurant. Big portions for the price.

A more spacious dining area with restrooms would be awesome to dine-in BUT staff is friendly and food is just delicious with vegan friendly options

OMG! Yesterday was my first time visiting this restaurant. Boy was I pleased. Great customer service, Friendly staff ( with Beautiful smiles😊), amazing sandwich. I ordered the chicken shawarma. The meat was plentiful and flavorful beyond scrumptious. I usually take pictures of my food. But this time based on the raving reviews, I dived right in and did not stop eating until the sandwich was gone. #fingerlickinggood

I love the food its tasty and very juicy I recomend coming here. The staff is kind clever and fast. The Location inside is decorated with paintings and has also a with board in arabic, meaning welcome , in arabic is "ahlan w sahlaan".

Normally I don't write reviews but I feel I need to in this case. This was my first time here it was absolutely delicious! I got the Chicken Kabob Platter and the chicken was so tender and flavorful. They were extremely friendly too. I'm not that familiar with Mediterranean Cuisine but I will definitely be back to try some more. Great healthy choices!

The food was so fresh and flavorful! I had the chicken kebab plate and we ordered hummus. Love the slight char marks on the chicken. Hummus was perfect with olive oil. And the bread was so soft.
