This was my first time there and I have to say it was a lot of fun and a great place to spend some time with friends.The staff are awesome and very interactive which adds up to an amazingly fun and safe experience which I look forward to doing again.If you were thinking of trying these guys out I suggest you do as you will not be disappointed and glad you did.

Easy scheduling, friendly and attentive staff. Helped my fam who were 1st timers! Had a great visit!

Had John, Maddie, and Cinnamon Roll as coaches and they were great. They were a big help in teaching me the archery system and helping with a payment issue I ended up having. This is my 2nd time at Far Shot but I'm certainly it will not be my last!

Loved the place. Food was great. Chanti was awesome and made me want to do more of this stuff as a hobby minimum. The stars and batarangs were also fun. I wish there was beer on tap.

Great experience at Far Shot Albany. We did archery with Coach Shanti, who was knowledgeable and friendly. The person upstairs with the axe throwers was super friendly too. Would definitely go back.

Wonderful experience, our instructor (Tom) was very kind and helpful. With his guidance we were able to improve our throws and get the axes to stick. Great environment and experience overall!

We had a lot of fun for our first time here. Maddy was awesome. We will definitely be back. We tried the axe throwing and next time we're going to try knife throwing or archery.

Gabriel coached both my cousin and I @ axe throwing and made the our experience so much fun. He taught us different techniques and how to play the game.

Far shot is the go-to place for axe throwing, knife throwing and archery!! The staff is helpful, and chilled! John is the best!!!!!!

Please do not ignore this issue. This constant unfair treatment is not right and watching racism play out in 2024 is out of control.

Rush and Maddie make me want to visit again I was taking shelter from the hot sun and supporting my friend Maddie who works here, as a paying customer of course (by the way try the Chicken wings if Rush is the one making it, 9/10 I wish i had more.) I had only planned to stay for a few minutes to cool down, buy a meal and drink, and keep my bestie occupied. I ended up not wanting to leave because they made my time there so impressionable. Rush is a great cool and axe thrower, and Maddie is slowly learning the tricks of the trade, they make me proud. Keep those two close, pretty please. I want to visit again so I can learn how to throw as good as them- that and it reminded me of the first time I threw axes at the axe lounge with my mom on her birthday (which was super fun and something I found I was naturally good at.)

Had an awesome time tonight shooting the bows. Maddie was super helpful and made our experience so much more comfortable. She was very accommodating and proactive in her service. The location itself is clean and well maintained thus we had a great time tonight. Worth the visit would recommend:)

Great experience today for our group. Tom was fun, professional and a great coach! He gave great pointers so we could be successful at axe throwing and doing archery. Then he made us our food we ordered, too. This guy does it all! We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends as well!

John was amazing! So helpful with coaching us. The whole family had a great time. They also have socks ($1) and crocs in case you strolled in without open toed shoes.

We visited on 7/31/24. There were five of us and we did axe throwing. This was the first time for all of us. John was our coach and he was great. He was so pleasant and fun from the start. He explained things thoroughly and was really helpful in explaining technique; different games we could play and overall how to have the best time. He made our axe throwing the best experience. We will definitely let others know and will be back to try knife throwing next time. We had a great time.

First time I went with friends for axe throwing,5 stars! Today took my grandson for archery, 5+ stars. Shanti is the BEST. She explained everything to us, kept checking on us, gave us tips and pointers. Food was a welcome addition, we were going to go for dinner after but ate there. Definitely coming back. Thank you

Had a great time here with some visiting family. We had a 1 hour axe throwing session. Gabriel was an amazing coach. He gave clear, informative instructions that were easy to follow, and was extremely accommodating. I will definitely be coming back!

My son brought me here for a fun activity in the Albany area. We had an awesome coach- Gabriel - who gave us great instructions and we all had so much fun!! We did axe throwing but they also have knives and archery!!

We did archery and Shanti did an amazing job explaining all the steps on how to shoot the arrows. Highly recommend this place for archery. Lots of fun archer minigames to play with your friends and family!

Place is okay. Signage for rates wasn't very clear that the hourly cost was per person (later saw that it's the fine print). Our group of 4 was a bit surprised when we went to check out towards the end of our time and that it's $24/hour/person. Racks up quickly for a large group. Also doesn't make sense because if two people go in, they get the same number of lanes as 4 people. Pricing should really be per lane, not per person. Place was super slow for a Saturday night, and the price was, in my opinion, a major factor in that. Alcohol selection was mediocre, mostly fruity fizz drinks, with light beers and IPAs. A little more variety would be nice.

Lynn was an amazing teacher and host. She was down to earth, funny, and friendly. I would def recommend her as a teacher. We plan on coming back and requesting her!

Axe throwing was fun, but not for me. Archery was absolutely amazing and the instructor, lynn was clear and helpful during the event. I'll gladly go again.

Coach Shanti was great teaching us how to throw and she even drew a picture of our group. Definitely looking forward to going to more events here since our Veterans group Irrelevant Warriors Albany decided after the awesome service from our coach and the fun we had to meet up here the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Any military veterans is welcomed to join. Warning even the mild wings are spicy.

My friends and I stopped in last minute for a fun night and had a great time! Rush was a great axe throwing host, helping us with our aim, throws, and follow-throughs. Highly recommend a night of axe throwing, especially if you’ve never tried before!

Had a great time. Staff was friendly and super helpful. We came at a time that was not super busy but you can make reservations if you want to be sure to get a space.

Had 9 kids at Far Shot for a 14yr old's birthday party. Kids had a blast with the archery and the kids all mentioned going back and trying the other activities. Rush was awesome at keeping them safe and focused.

Archery was fun! They advertise it as "VR archery" but you're actually shooting real arrows into a giant projector screen. Tom was our coach and he did a great job getting us set up and checking up on us without being overbearing. We did not get food but I checked out the menu and it seemed really reasonably priced, and beers were as low as a few bucks per can. I went with a date and booked an hour which seemed like the perfect amount of time. They only have one archery setup and only one shooter can go at a time so if you have a larger group definitely book 1.5 hours or maybe even two sessions back to back.

A very professional environment. They have a nice German technology for Archery with moving targets, and good instructors to make it a fun experience. I would certainly recommend to the locals and visitors alike.

Stopped in for Archery. Rush got the player names entered, and gave us the starter tips for archery. Nice setup in the lower level, great if you are doing a group, as you have the space to yourself. Only archery in the lower level. The digital screen and interactive moving targets is very cool. You can increase challenge levels, and it is noticeable. Definitely recommend.

Excellent experience, we made reservations online, then filled an online waiver at arrival. They had beers and fried food. I would come back. I felt worked out afterwards, I liked that. Place can get loud but because of obvious reasons. They had amazing music. Our host was Rush, he made our experience even better. He explained safety, tips, and tricks of axe throwing. We appreciate you Rush, thanks.

Here to tell you Rush is amazing. I came late to the appointment and he still got my boyfriend and I in. He also taught us some cool tricks. Very patient and nice!!!! Enjoyed my time here as well!!

Booked a slot for after work on Thursday, got in instantly with no wait! Had the pleasure of meeting Rush who not only was great at walking us through safety and instructions, but also clearly has a deep appreciation for the art of throwing and archery! Looking very forward to coming back, definitely gotta work on my knife throwing game!

This place was great. We went for axe throwing and I ended up switching to stars. The employees were very nice and super knowledgeable and informative. The drink menu is pretty extensive also.
