I cannot say enough good things about the food at Farrah Olivia. I've lived above the restaurant for years and mistakenly believed that it was a tasting menu only, but finally tried it during Restaurant Week and discovered they also have an a la carte option. From the plantain amuse to the weird-sounding but phenomenal cauliflower flan, everything was beyond delicious and innovative. The only dings were the atmosphere--you can hear ALL the noise from the bar so it's kind of like being in a gymnasium, and the decor is very corporate--as well as the service. While my server was extremely polite and gracious she was not very knowledgeable about the food and failed to explain any of the wine pairings with the courses. Not a deal breaker, but something I expect for that price bracket. BUT if you are a foodie and feel like you've tried all the big names in DC, I really urge you to try out Farrah Olivia--the menu is so unique, you won't find anything like it in the area.

I would go for the 3 or 5 course menu good price and great food. add the wine paring for the extra 10 bucks.

I loved Farrah Olivia's old location in Old Towne. The brunch was fantastic, I still think about it. The new location, location in Chef Morou's Kora, his Italian place, is very different, but the food is still good and different. Please be sure to review the meny before you go to see if you will like it, because there are a lot of different elements to it, and it is constantly changing. Some items are on both the Kora and Farrah Olivia menu, but most are not. Also allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy every course and make an evening out of it. If you are feeling adventerous, then this is definately the place to go.

One of our favorite restaurants in DC area. Expensive but worth every penny. The only improvement we'd like to see is adding 3 course Prix Fix choice to the menu. That could make it more affordable for the folks that can't pay such high prices too often.

We had Restaurant week menu and were VERY pleased with our experience. Amazing flavors, wonderful service and ambiance and a great value with RW prices. I wish they would have a choice of 3 course Prix fix menu on regular basis. It would make this restaurant much more affordable for many people who'd like to visit it more often but can't because of expensive and only choice of 5 course PF.

Have been there for my husband's Bday. Took their 5 course tasting menu. Every dish was a piece of art! If you want to surprise someone-go there! Chef is very creative and artistic. The food was very tasty too. The only complain-noise from the bar through the open door did not do any good to the ambiance. Service could be more professional for this level of food. Could give this chef a Micheline star.

My wife and I were extremely pleased that Chef Morou had reopened Farah Olivia. We celebrated a birthday tonight at the restaurant and were not disappointed. We ordered the five course meal and each course was terrific. Every dish was imaginative and unique. The quality of the food was such that we felt we were judges on The Iron Chef and Chef Morou was the winner. I cannot wait until we return.
