Food is the best Mediterranean food you can get around these parts. We often cater from here when we have guests over. For a sit down the place could use some updating

The food and service here is amazing!

This restaurant is worth trying once or twice, but I don't think I'd return again. The quality of the food is okay, but it's just not worth the unusually steep prices. I should also add that this is definitely not exclusive to any supply chain issues, since this restaurant was overpriced even before covid. I visited here once in 2019 and even then, I thought the prices were quite steep relative to the small serving size, and compared to other similar middle eastern restaurants. I returned again this year, and the prices are obviously even worse.

We found this gem while traveling to Saratoga Springs. The service was fantastic and the food is so delicious. As we ate, we discussed driving back just to eat there. I highly recommend the Chicken Kofta and the Falafel platter. The tea is yummy too. We will definitely return.

I recently visited Fasil and had a disappointing experience due to the server’s unreasonable demands. We were a party of 5 and ordered 5 appetizers for the table. We then asked for a mixed platter entree on top of that to share. The server demanded that each person in our party order an entree, which felt unnecessary and inflexible. We agreed to order a 2nd entree, and anything else would be way too much food. I thought the server would have relented, but nope, they kept insisting! What’s worse, this is the 2nd time this has happened to me at Fasil (which I thought MUST have been a total outlier experience at the time) The server’s attitude and insistence overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. If you like Mediterranean food, save yourself the hassle, and get the real deal from well-mannered hosts in Patterson.

I love coming here ! Their service is amazing and I can’t get enough of their food. It’s truly one of the best gems in NJ !!

8 of us were there for dinner last night! We thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. Ammar was helping us - he was fantastic! So many selection of vegetarian and meat dishes. Highly recommend this restaurant

The food was excellent. We didn't have apps although I wish we had. They started us out with hot, fresh pita that was so good, Im still thinking about it days later. For dinner, I had the chicken adana yogurt kebabs which were great. My wife really enjoyed the branzini. We were in the area and found Fasil by accident, but we will definitely be back.

Best place for lunch, dinner, family events, birthday party and etc. Food delicious 😋. Stuff friendly and respectful 🙏. Nice, quite and comfortable.

Update 7/26/23: Closed Tuesdays. Lunch special $19.99, +$2 up- charge for lamb protein option. Make sure you ask about the rewards program. Best lentil soup, quality cuts of lamb for kabobs which are cooked to perfection. We often try shish kabobs at other restaurants, but the meat here is vastly superior. The service is unhurried and thorough, so not a place for a quick meal. One unfortunate thing: We came on a Friday/Saturday (I can't recall) with a family of 5, without reservations for an early dinner, but were refused to be seated for a table. They were almost completely empty of patrons at the time, but held the tables for reservations for people not yet at the facility. So, I guess it's good for those who had reservations, but it was a disappointment for us as we scrambled to find another place to eat which wasn't nearly as good. We will keep coming back for the price fix weekday lunch: soup, appetizer, entré, and soda are a bargain, awesome food, and relaxing time out. I definitely recommend this place, but make sure you have reservations for dinner, especially for more than 4 people. For those who are interested, it is BYOB, and a liquor store is a couple of doors down at the same strip mall.

What a delight! I stopped on a whim and was so happy I did. The staff were polite, and the food delicious. I got a luncheon special which came with a salad, a cold appetizer, an entree, and a soda. I chose hummus as the cold app and it was so creamy and light! I gobbled it up on fluffy, warm pita bread. Then came the Gypsy salad, a lovely blend of cabbage and carrots with a tangy lemon dressing. Then my falafel entree arrived which was perfectly browned and on a bed of rice. I was pleasantly surprised to find the rice delicious and not too salty, and the sauce was again a delight for falafel dipping. I had leftovers from the lunch special! (And y'all, I'm a big woman and never have leftovers!) Great staff, delicious food, homemade sauces, and a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. I will be back!!

We order from here at least once every 2 weeks and I can't remember ever having a bad meal or incorrect order. During Covid they started doing a value meal takeout option which gives you a choice of a lunch size portion of an entree, cold appy, rice, shepherd salad, drink, pita. it is a great way to try different appetizers and entrees. I have tried many combos and now have my favorites I choose from. The staff is wonderful and my order is already ready on-time, always hot and delicious. Dining in is a great experience too. Lovely dining room and also outdoor seating.

Normally, I don’t go out of my way to write a review, but this place was EXCEPTIONAL. Food was FANTASTIC and the service was even better. It’s the small nuances that count! Thanks again!

Value meal platters are outstanding

We went there this week for a friends birthday dinner & it was amazing. The appetizers were so fresh & tasted amazing. The dinners were equally as good. A few of us shared some deserts which were outstanding. I would highly recommend Fasil for authentic high quality food with top notch service.

I just want to start by saying they are AMAZING! They value customer service and make you feel special everytime. I love the food, you can tell they make sure they serve the best quality. Fasil is my favorite Turkish Restaurant and I recommend it to everyone I know.

Great lunch special. A little pricey but worth it. Plenty of food. Soup and salad were both good. I had the gyro meat and she had the lamb kufti. Brought home leftovers. Cool atmosphere and service was on point. Even has outside dining for when it's warm. Good stuff

We had been looking for a great Greek restaurant in the Sussex/Morris County area for some time and someone recommended Fasil. What a disappointment. We had the lamb gyro and Lamb Kiebab. All the meat was dried up and tough. We got the smallest slice of tomato & lemon they could possibly cut. The rice was a pilaf which appeared to come out of a rice-a-roni box. To boot the baklava was extremely soggy on the bottom. Worse greek food we've ever had. Will not return!!

I love turkish/mediterranean food and was excited to try this restaurant based on all the great reviews. The restaurant is located in a large shopping plaza so parking is not an issue. It wasn't busy when we visited but we were greeted right away and offered seating either indoors or outdoors. The menu was as I expected in terms of what they offered. They had a lunch special for $19.99 that included a soup or salad, 1 cold appetizer, and an entree. The whole meal experience built up to a high note but quickly tapered off. The soup of the day was chicken or lentil. The chicken soup looked interesting almost like Elmer's glue. It tasted like chicken but lacked seasoning. The lentil soup was the better of the two. The best part of the meal was the cold appetizer and pita. We chose hummus as our appetizer. It was creamy, garlicky, and paired so well with the pita. I could have had a whole bowl of hummus and pita. For entrees we chose chicken adana and chicken kebab. The kebab looked really delicious but sadly the adana was the better of the two. The kebab was made with white meat. Although tender, it lacked seasoning and had a weird bitter after taste. Perhaps its a seasoning they used? The portion size was just ok for lunch. Overall, the meal was just mediocre but service was good. Next time I'd skip entree and just order the hummus.

Their hummus and bread were delicious. The chicken soup, chicken adana and chicken kebob was a bit on the bland side (needs salt). The setting was beautiful and their customer service was awesome

This was some of the best Mediterranean food I have ever had. For appetizers I got the calamari and it was so fresh. I ordered the iskender as my entree and it beyond amazing. The staff was so attentive and made sure to give us recommendations on all their meals. Thank you so much for the service! Will definitely be coming back!

This restaurant had the most authentic mediterranean food I have experienced, aside from my experience from actually eating in Turkey. The hummus and yogurt dip were exquisite, especially paired with the pita bread and fresh cucumber and tomato salad. The waitress, Hilal, and the owner were so welcoming. I also got the lamb adana and lamb gyro over rice and it was a flavor explosion in my mouth.10/10 would recommend. Everyone should come!!!

Came during lunch, staff was attentive and facility was clean. No other patrons we're there. Had the mixed cold platter (eggplant salad, baba ganoush, hummus, and lebni - all very good. Pita was fresh and hot, wonderful. Had the falafel platter - wish there was more for the pricing but overall good. The side salad came with a balsamic dressing but I would have either liked a simple oil and vinegar or choice of dressing. A little pricey overall but still good for the area and wanting something in a pinch.

Came here for first time today. Nice little outdoor seating area (especially for a strip mall- you’d never know because they have it decorated very tastefully). Food was delicious with great portions all served with delicious warm pita. They have what looks like amazing weekday lunch specials so we want to come back for sure. Waiter was very nice and attentive always making sure our water glasses were full on a hot day. Going to come back to post food pics. Forgot to take them today 😬.

Delicious as always! Mixed cold app, the white bean salad and the chicken yogurt kebab (the hidden pieces of bread are great) made for a perfect meal for two with leftovers.

The food has always been good, but the prices have gone crazy. A local eatery has no business charging $4.00 for a can of soda. All of the prices incresed due to supply chain and Covid, but today when we went in to eat, the Iskender Kobab jumped another $5.00 over the $7.00 it had already gone up. Time to look for other Middle Eastern restaurants.

Food was very tasty and it was a nice experience. Went with a large group. Had 4 appetizers (2 large Shepards salads & 2 hummus), entree, tea or coffee and 2 deserts to split. I had the chicken kabobs. Everything was fresh and tasty and it was a fun experience but I thought it was pretty pricey for what it was.

The food was good, I really enjoyed it. However the service wasn’t pleasant enough. Also, the server made an Angry Bird like face after I tipped him 18% of my bill and his behavior was like I caused him a terrible pain. The owner or the manager should take this review into the consideration and take appropriate action against him.

I can’t understand why this place has 4.5 stars. The picture attached is the falafel kebab that costs $21. The rice is over salted and the falafel is so dry that eating this, is pure punishment. Where do you get off charging $21 for this? The red lentil soup tastes like aspirin. Save yourself some money and go literally anywhere else. There are so many good Mediterranean restaurants in NJ this is not one of them.

Visited Fasil 1st time, ambiance is nice. food is good, service is very good, food accommodation for vegetarian was great, Food portion are good size. Price is too high. Only thing we did not like is separate entrée for each person… Separate entrée for adult is understandable but for Kids separate entrée that is too much in party of 16 people, otherwise they charge sharing fees.

The food is quite fresh, but bland and boring. Everything is overpriced and ordering is inflexible. For example, I wanted a salad with 2 falafels instead of meat, but they made me order a whole separate large order of falafel. The sharing fees are ridiculous; for those prices, you should be able to order what you want and eat it family style without being penalized. The service is very pushy and they try to upsell you constantly. Worth trying once but you don’t need to go back there.

Wish we had gotten a chance to try the food. The server brought our menu over and that was the last we saw of him at our table. We asked a question and got no answer. As I watched the servers walk by us with no acknowledgement. Finally we decided to leave. I did mention to the manager the reason we were leaving. He gave a very lackluster can we help...too late.

Without a doubt the best Mediterranean restaurant in Boonton Parsipanny montville area. Their Pita bread is soft fresh and tasty. Love their Baba Ganoush and Adana Kabab. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Update April24,2022: Was very disappointed they increased the prices significantly under the pretext of inflation. Ridiculous they are charging 30$ for Lamb Adana Kabab.I know prices have gone up but not this crazy that you have to do a 7-8$ increase on one item. My change in review is not based on the food taste but the steep price hike. I hope you reconsider the price hike or it won't bode well for your business.

Wonderful food with gluten free, dairy free and veggiterean options even for that picky eater. Tonight we were a party of 10 which included a gluten free person, a dairy free person, a pescaterian and 2 vegitereans. All enjoyed their meals because, well the place makes delicious food. Definitely recommend the appetizer platter where you pick 4 items only because who can choose between their smooth hummus, dreamy lebni, delicious babaganoush, the eggplant salad or the ezme. you have to get the ezme! The service is wonderful too. Attentive and helpful. My family rates this place Amazing!

Average food , rude people . Owner doesn’t know how to respect a person or a customer. Food is not bad but I am not sure if it worth to drive there to be treated badly. I have been picking up food from Fasil fairly regularly for a few years and most of the time the food is ok, not the wonderful and certainly not worth the latest round of price increase which have been going since I started going there. Because of the regularity of going, I was able to overlook these things until today. I went in as I have many dozens of times to pick up my phone order and realized I had forgotten my wallet at home. I offered to pay with Apple Pay which they don’t accept, it looked like they are on an older system. I was in the process of telling the cashier my credit card number and he was unable to enter it correctly, seemingly due to language barrier. The owner came out and got all upset and refused to take my credit card number, even though I have called and given it over the phone many many times. He was rude, angry, and, even after I told him I am a regular, he told me there is nothing he can do. Certainly it was my fault that I forgot the card, and maybe there is a reason for his not wanting to take my card number, but there is no excuse for disgusting behavior toward anyone, especially someone who has spent many thousands of dollars at your establishment over the years. If I had been spoken to reasonably perhaps it would not have so come to this. This is an example of terrible customer service and there are enough restaurants, many which are better, who value their customers and make attempts to be accommodating. That was the last time I went to Fasil.

This place is amazing! We had lunch here and the food was delicious. Everybody at our party loved trying new dishes they have never had before. We ordered Adana kebab, Iskender kebab and it was all delicious. Had kazandibi for dessert. Taste of home for me that I've been missing for a while now. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Nice environment inside and it feels cozy and welcoming. We'll definitely return.
