My review is changing because of recent experience. We had a time for brunch at 2:30pm they said If we wanted to come in early say 11:30am so we did sat down to order and apparently because we got there 10 minutes after they called they had to put our food last which they didn't notify us until it was like 1pm when they were making it so we decided to get our food boxed and leave since it was taken forever just for two eggs and potatoes. I wouldn't recommend they are not fast when people are hungry.

Quaint little house turned into a restaurant that serves upscale food with locally sourced ingredients. They were able to get us in even though we did not have a reservation and showed up after there normal table seating times. I got their garden salad with blue cheese dressing - all ingredients were fresh crisp and tasted great. The micro greens and fresh flowers on the dishes were a nice touch. They used bread crumbs instead of croutons which complimented the delicate salad. Husband got the salmon chower which he said was really really good before he inhaled it. It smelled amazing but I did not try it myself. We ordered a bread starter which was a crispy foccacia bread served with herbed oil and vinegar. Honestly it was probably to much bread and we ate it all it.. practically stuffed ourselves. It was fluffy and soft while being crispy and flavorful. We both ordered the beef tenderloin which was served with mash potatoes broccolini and carrots. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly and topped with a brown gravy that was just the right consistency. Vegetables were not over or under cooked and again seasoned perfectly. The tenderloin it self was an excellent cut and was very tender but not mushy. It was also seasoned very well with what I am assuming was a peppercorn rub. The servers were working their buts off being prompt friendly and courteous. Kitchen staff was on it as well and dishes came out in quick order. Basically as we finished each dish the next wasn't far behind. Not pictured were two cocktails. Matanuska mist and wildflower margaritas. Both light and refreshing in their own way and honestly would have ordered more if we stayed longer. For being our first nice meal post partum I give it a 5/5 .

We had a reservation at 11:30 and we were there on time and seated promptly. When one of us asked for a hot drink after she finished her main course, she was asked if she wanted it in a to-go cup. She did not! It took ages to get it. By the time it arrived, I was ready for a coffee. I was not given a choice and it arrived in a to-go cup with the bill. As you can see we were only there for 48minutes. Brunch should be a leisurely meal. If we were loitering after an hour, I could understand maybe suggesting a second cup to-go but we did not appreciate the pressure we felt when we had spent more than $100 with tip.

I've been to F&F many times over the last couple of years and as always, it is a perfect experience. The familiar faces of the staff that always greet you like they're seeing a friend, the calm atmosphere, the food coming out looking like pure art- all contributing to the fact that this place is my #1 spot. You NEVER feel rushed, and 1.5 hours per reservation is the perfect amount of time to catch up with a friend or have some solo brunch time before adventuring around Palmer. Yesterday was a lovely rainy brunch date and I always look forward to my next time there❤️

Made reservations for Feather and Flour early in the week for 8/11 at 11:30. Got a call Sunday morning to make sure we were keeping our reservation. We were, we did and showed up about 5 minutes early. Waited a bit for our table <5 minutes and then were seated (table 7, server:Kate). When I go to brunch which is not often, I like to enjoy my food, conversation and dining at a leisurely pace but not asking for more than an hour or a bit more if service is slow, it was not. We received our food and began eating in about 20 minutes: good. Food: good but I’ve had the dish before and it was not the best preparation but still very tasty. I finished and my sister was still eating so I ordered a hot beverage. That took forever but when I ordered, Kate asked if I wanted a to go cup. No, I’m having brunch (not cheap but reasonable), at a table and wanted to enjoy my beverage. My sister finished her meal, ordered an Americano which was delivered, without being asked, in a to go cup. Bummer. Long story short: out of the restaurant in 40-45 minutes. Bum’s rush and don’t let the door hit you on the way out. :-/ Did we tip? Yes and quite well, we are not monsters but F&F needs to consider making the customer feel welcome not just another dollar in your pocket. It may be awhile before I eat brunch or dinner at your establishment.

A great place!! Very high quality and taste! There is a cafe with limited menu regularly and some days there are brunch or farm to table dinners. I recommend checking the schedule and menu out since it changes. We had a veggie bowl and a few sweet items. Everything was very very good! Blueberry cake was huuge.

First time visit. Delicious food. Great location. I loved the intimate nature and vibe. It wasn't a busy and packed restaurant. I liked the prix fixe style. It's awesome that the meals change weekly and local ingredients are used. Highly recommend. Stumbled upon a blog post on Alaska Explored that brought me to this gem of a restaurant. Pricey but worth it for the quality and deliciousness. It was filling. Definitely get a dessert and adult beverage to top it off. 10/10 recommend.

A family friend and I came to Feather + Flour this weekend for maybe the fourth time? It was my second time having Kyleigh as my server; absolutely incredible, and the sweetest human. Super helpful, and went out of her way for us. Now, as if the pictures and the previous reviews don’t do this place enough justice; I made the mistake of picking up a really cute item within their small display where some local artist share their goods. Unfortunately for me, the whole place is quaint, cute, and intentionally curated. I grabbed an item that wasn't even for sale, and once seeing the defeat in me and my friend’s faces, quipped: “You can just take it.” — Naturally, and respectfully we had to meet them with, “No, no! It’s okay!” They were so gracious and kind about it, that they literally insisted. I wasn’t giving them an opportunity to take it back, ha! I’m so appreciative of the kind people who work here, the fresh farm-to-table cuisine, along with their indulgent coffee menu. Thank you for another magical experience, Reno and Kyleigh, and everyone else. Xx

Went to Feather and Flour for a 3 course dinner. Had the arancini, spring citrus salad, and Alaska Rockfish (substitute with cod since the rockfish shipment didnt come in). I forgot to take a picture of the Alaska cod because I was too excited to dig in, but that's okay just means we have to come back! I've had rockfish before and I had a tough time telling what I was eating was cod because they prepared it so nicely. It was so good with the coconut-curry lime sauce! Came in with a large group so I got to taste all three of the starters specialty bread, oysters, and sharing special. Everything was delicious! I learned I love fresh oysters now, especially with that lemon-champagne mignonette. My husband had the same thing except for the 3rd course he had the beef tenderloin which I also had a taste of before he devoured the whole thing. I definitely will be back. Can't wait to taste the next seasonal menu.

Feather and Flour in Palmer, Alaska, is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The meal began with the arancini starter, perfectly crisp on the outside and wonderfully creamy on the inside. Each bite was a delightful burst of flavor, leaving us eager for more. Next, the carrot ginger soup arrived, and it was a revelation. The velvety texture and the harmonious blend of sweet carrots and spicy ginger created a symphony of flavors that danced on our taste buds. For the main course, we had the rockfish with curry sauce and rice, and it was simply sensational. The rockfish was cooked to perfection, flaky and moist, and the curry sauce was a delightful accompaniment, adding a depth of flavor that was both comforting and exotic. The rice served as the perfect canvas, soaking up the rich sauce and enhancing the overall dish. The dessert, a chocolate Basque cheesecake, was the perfect ending to the meal. Rich, creamy, and decadent, it was a chocolate lover's dream come true. Paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it was the ultimate indulgence. To top off the evening, we also enjoyed the homemade bread, which was exquisite. Freshly baked and served warm, it was the perfect complement to the meal. Feather and Flour is more than just a restaurant—it's an experience. The impeccable service, the exquisite food, and the charming ambiance make it a must-visit destination in Palmer. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and dine at Feather and Flour. You won't be disappointed!

We reserved a table for my birthday! We paid for a 3 course meal for $60. We added in a shareable meal and dessert so we technically had a 5 course meal haha. We added in the recommended wine pairings as well. But overall, our experience was amazing! This place is perfect to bring a special someone or to celebrate a special occasion. This place was a huge disappointment to us & we picked this place thinking it was gonna be fancy & classy & a great place for our special date. Right before we headed in we seen another couple head in & the guy was in his snow bibs & snow machining winter clothes & right then we should of known it wasn’t gonna be fancy at all & fit the reservation only $60 a person vibe. We sat so close to the guy in snow bibs my back was about touching him so we moved our table as far away & into the corner as we could so glad the table moved. Music was so loud & paired with a lady that got drunk & obnoxious by us & we had to hear about private stuff & nasty medical stuff from her our whole time it was so bad we couldn’t hear each other most of the time & it gave us headaches & was more like being in a bar. Our food & service was not great & did not fit a fancy expensive reservation only place at all. Food was so small & so little we left hungry after spending over $150. I was out of water half the time. Our table got dirty after eating our bread & it stayed dirty & it should get wiped off after each course & after my salad I was handed back a dirty fork & told I had to use it again for my next course which is a huge Nono if you consider yourself a fancy restaurant & you do at $60 a person. First courses we got were so small it was literally a couple bites. My second course was a little salad and it was lettuce completely soaked in ranch dressing so you couldn’t even see what it was it was like soggy wilted greens, tons of tomatoes & instead of croutons I got the end of the bag crumbs soaked in ranch dressing and I was so hungry by this point I ate it after sitting for an hour. Absolutely no customer service or kindness, no how are doing, no are you here for a special occasion or have you been here before or are you from Alaska just absolutely nothing from anybody. We went 30 minutes at a time with nobody at all checking on us or doing anything for us. Other tables had chef & 3 others at the table at once multiple times but of course they all were ordering alcoholic drinks & we were not. This place seemed more centered on drinking than anything. Our main course actually got taken to the drunk loud ladies table first then brought to our table. Steak & tomato soup was okay & probably the best of everything we had. It’s pretty bad to have to leave feeling like you never should have went & hungry & I felt sick after the salad I ate & our wallet was definitely lighter. We will never go again & we have already told all our friends how it was. We will just stick with the amazing customer service & fantastic food at noisy goose & much more affordable as well & no reservations needed.

4.5 stars... I've been a fan ever since one of the owners did delicious donuts out of a food truck. However, as per most things with food, it's all about preference. So I had been wanting to try the 3 course meal offered that changes with the seasons/months. The latest one happened to have something that I'd like to try for each course. So I promptly booked a table for myself and friend who's own experience has been hit and miss. Ambiance ✔️ Friendly Service ✔️ But then to my dismay, it turns out that what was posted as their options on the 3 course menu was a misprint. There was no tomato soup and rather than a filet mignon, it was beef tenderloin. Seeing as I'm not a fan of squash, that left me with getting two different salads for my first two courses. Not ideal. I think most can relate to the general disappointment when what you were looking forward to is not available. So if there were an option, I'd do 4.5 stars. The dinner wasn't what I booked the reservation for and if it was a misprint, then that's something that needs to be communicated prior to the reservation. Other than that, what I got was good, perhaps a bit over peppered. Steak was cooked perfectly for me and is was what saved it in the end. I'll still go back, but I'll call to double check the menu before booking a 3 course meal again.

Wow, the food was a revelation! I had the Chicken Focacco (yes, that is what they call it): I didn't know chicken could be so tender and full of flavor. It had a spruce pesto and an aioli (can't remember how that was made); both were out of this world. Not to mention the Focaccia bread...again, WOW! I also ordered a cup of tomato soup....it was thick and bursting with tomato flavor. Accompanying all of this I had a Lavender Mojito, which was light and refreshing. A perfect match for the food. Everything is made with fresh, Alaska sourced ingredients; which is why it was all so good (not to mention the obviously talented chef). I am a foody and was in the business for 30 years: this at least ties the best meal I have ever had, if not the best. First time visiting after hearing they had gluten free options. Walked in on a Tuesday mid morning and was immediately asked if I had a reservation. It wasn’t a very welcoming exchange, and not simply because he asked, but because of the explanation he provided about how they often turn people away. It felt quite pretentious. Know that if you want to visit, be sure to have a reservation regardless of the day of the week. I ordered an iced chai, which took quite some time to arrive, and the hatchers pass blueberry buckle. The buckle was delectable. I saw a plate on the table next to me that looked incredible and got excited for my next visit. That is, until I paid my bill. Upon collecting my ticket the man thanked me and told me to take my time. A moment later another man came to me telling me that I needed to leave because the next guests were there and waiting for my table. I was shocked because not even a moment prior I was told to take my time finishing my tea. Again, within a minute or two the first man came back to tell me I needed to wrap it up because the next party was waiting on the table. I quickly finished my tea and left a requested. It’s a small place where conversations can easily be heard from table to table. This very unpleasant experience left me feeling embarrassed and unwelcomed, similarly as I felt walking in. The pretentious and snooty nature of the greeter and exchange being rushed out at the end left me with a desire to never return.

I have often encountered similar restaurants and brunch places in the lower-48—farm to table places with minimalist scandi aesthetics. I often find myself disappointed by both high prices and style over substance and quality. This was not the case at Feather & Flour. I was blown away by the staff, interiors, menu, price, and most importantly the delicious food. The local ingredients were used in unique, unexpected, and delicious dishes. The food celebrated Alaska and the valley’s locally grown and harvested foods without pandering to tourists; every dish was unique and fresh. The staff was helpful and as lovely as the food and interiors. Finally, the price was excellent and on par if not more affordable than any brunch place in the states. Usually things are more expensive in Alaska but I found their prices to be comparable if not better (especially given the quality of the food) than most brunch places outside AK. I also appreciated that the restaurant proudly displayed a sign in support of lgbtq folks right as you walked into the restaurant—no small feat in such a conservative pocket of Alaska. I can’t wait to go again! I wish this place so much success.

Alaska isn’t known for its food but this establishment goes against that. The food was beyond great local fresh and delicious. Will be back multiple times have already had a few people go from talking with them. This place is a gem! Please support this place as often as you can.

This place is excellent and just what Palmer and the Mat-Su needed. I've never had a bad meal here, and any of the coffees and teas are so delightful. Best americano I've had in the Valley! You can never go wrong with the biscuits and gravy but don't be afraid to step out and try something different because the flavor combos will be perfect. Always a treat and fairly priced.

I was pleasantly surprised to find such an amazing cafe in Palmer AK. I have the Bubble and Squeak and I wish I had ordered two.

My favorite place in the valley, if not all of Alaska. Local ingredients and an amazing chef. Brunch is the best.

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The Salmon Lox bubble and squeak was on point. The plating was a work of art, so much I didn't even want to cut into it. Once I did, the flavor matched the plating! Everyone truly enjoyed their food and will make this a regular visit. The only issue I had is the wait for drinks was a little long. Other than that, amazing spot.

Very rarely do you find a gem of a restaurant on your trips which you make a conscious effort to come back to. Feather and Flour falls in that category. On our way to Glacier View, we stopped here by chance. The food was awesome. We stopped here for lunch again on our way back. We had avocado toast, french toast, nova lox bubble and parfait. Everything was great

Would give a 5 except for a couple of things. The food was really good, but registered a little sweeter than expected. There are no low carb options on the menu. Otherwise, it was very tasty. The caprese salad is wonderful. Best tomatoes I've tasted in a while. The Nova Loxs dish was craving some textual elements but was delicious. Something crunchy or chewy would make this amazing. Biscuits and gravy were good, but plating could be improved. Use of a bowl limits the way you can eat and made if feal stewish. Something in it was very sweet, and not in a good way, but the taste was good and on point with the best restaurant sausage gravy I've had. I still prefer my own, though. Staff and atmosphere were really nice. Had a few little issues with our order, but they were attentive and eager to help with questions or suggestions. It's definitely a place to try when around. We drove out from Anchorage for a nice afternoon getaway.

Returned once we realized we’d have better luck making a reservation and ordered the charcuterie board as a starter then the shrimp salad and brunch burger for our mains. The food tasted fresh and had good flavor. The burger was cooked great but the bun was a bit dry for our liking. Loved the sourdough and drink menu- I got a chai latte with chocolate milk which was Tazo tea but yummy. Overall good experience, loved the locally sourced menu and our service. Excited to try something new next time we visit!

Nice brunch place for sure. I had some very good biscuits and gravy. The back room has a great view towards the mountains, the interior is bright and looks neat, and the staff is polite and helpful with menu selections.

Such a treat! Her food is fresh and as local as you can get up her in Alaska. The ambiance is stellar. The drinks are creative and so delicious. Highly recommend brunch and her specialty dinners!

Dining in is the way to go for this place. Great interior decoration and very clean. Servers are polite and personable. Local ingredients make this place a step up from the Palmer norm. I would not recommend take out, as the one time I did this, my food was so over-seasoned and completely unpalatable. There was so much pepper my tongue was burning. Also ordered the bread and butter but got a totally different flavor than what was on the menu. Did not eat that either.. also was not offered any discount, credit or refund for my sub-par order. I did not ask but it was not offered either after I complained to the owner(s). Bottom line: I will go back for dine-in but sparingly since the prices are up there. PS~ we really miss the doughnut truck!!!

Food was delicious, cost was a little high, but that's because they purchase their food from local small businesses. The restaurant is small though, so keep that in mind if have a big party of people. Will go again the food was amazing.

Got up and left after 20 minutes of not being offered a drink or any service. They are usually fully booked and having to make a reservation for brunch a full day and a half in advance and be met with that service was disappointing. Hopefully it improves. May give another chance in the future. Does have a nice atmosphere. I do love small intimate restaurants. ————————— 3/23/23 Last time I went I arrived 10 minutes prior to my reservation and was seated. So we did wait for 20 minutes. But as for today, again I arrived a bit early and was seated right and away and the service was amazing! Super yummy mimosas :) After trying the food for the first time I was so happy with all of it. My mom and I got the omelette with all the vegetables and toast, my sister got the biscuits and gravy, and we all shared the Belgium waffle. Everything was so flavorful and obviously fresh ingredients. Will 100% go back and urge friends to go too. Couldn’t have been happier with my second trip there.

I brought my Fiancé to Feather and Flour looking for a decent meal that's local, and I was very impressed by the quality of the food and the service I received, our drinks were very tasty and paired very well with the food we got. The FOOD, Oh my goodness was it delicious. I have never had a burger that absolutely covered my tastebuds with a savory well seasoned but not overwhelming strong flavor. Ill definitely be back!!

Food was great but the service was a bit disappointing. We got our food and about 15-20 minutes later were given our bill, despite all four of our party still actively eating and having half of our dishes left. I wouldn’t have been bothered had we been checked on at least once before then. That being said, I still love this place for brunch!
