I love this place! I have eaten here several times and everything is fresh. Very clean inside and the girl running the front counter is so friendly and helpful.

$19 for a burrito and drink !!!

This place is right by where I work. Staff is awesome, the food is excellent, and the portions are over the top. Highly recommend for breakfast and lunch 🤤

We went here for breakfast burritos specifically, and it was ok. My brother and I both got the chorizo special, and I also got the horchata. My breakfast was mediocre, but I'd be willing to come back again to try a few other things of their menu. The hot sauce bar was all mislabeled. The straws are barely long enough to reach the bottom of the large cups.

LOVE this place. It's nothing fancy, but the food is amazing and there is always friendly, fast service. By far they have the best breakfast burrito, and we have tried them all over the country. Their tortillas are the bomb - so tasty. We go out of our way to eat here whenever we are in AZ. And, this Scottsdale location in particular is outstanding, better that the locations we have tried in other areas of Phoenix.

We went to this restaurant many years ago and the food wasn't great. However, we tried it again a month ago, and it was fantastic. Been back twice since. We have a Filibertos close to our house, but we will drive the extra mile to go here. Everything was wonderful, including the rice and beans.

I would give this place more stars because the food is actually reallllly good. However, their staff/customer service needs some serious fixing. I understand how smaller walk in Mexican food joints like these may feel out of place and not catering to “their own” up here in North Scottsdale, but the girl that works days at the cash register (usually weekends) has an attitude towards white people. My girlfriend is latina and I speak spanish so I know it’s not a ME thing. I respect all races and all walks of life. Every single time i’ve been into Federico’s with her working- I was treated by her like I didn’t belong and she would intentionally make things more difficult. If something was wrong, she would make excuses and argue over why that happened. she’s got a do-no-wrong complex and if i was manager i would fire her because she’s driving away myself and other neighbors that have had the same experience with her. Dear Federico’s Manager : Today is 5/11/24 and I picked up my burritos at 12:30pm at the 100th street and frank lloyd wright location- so you know which cashier i am talking about. anyway, todays experience was more of the same: she would call out what sounded like my order and rudely say- “no! that’s not yours”… i was sitting for 20 mins wondering what was going on while patrons that got there 10-15 mins after me where getting served first. i finally approached her and asked if it was done yet- and she just points to a paper bag she discreetly placed on the counter without saying anything at all. i asked her how long ago she called it out and she rudely said “i don’t know, im not your timekeeper.” the food had already gotten cold by the time i learned it was ready. so im over it! I love the fact that we have , in my opinion, authentic quality mexican food in our north scottsdale neighborhood because for far too long, all there was was Filiberto’s. I love the carne burrito there. my girlfriend loves the california.. it’s just a shame how an employee can ruin your business/drive it away

The Huge sign on the front glass said 4 mini tacos 13.99. They charged us 14.49 and would NOT give us the .50 cents back and the girl at the front desk said no way everybody knows that prices have gone up on everything, we said so, that has nothing to do with you doing the right thing. She said NO. SHE was very confused about everything we were saying and would not even give us a little extra sour cream to make up for their mistakes. Food is not too bad but they need to be schooled on how things should and should not work. The girl does not know how to smile at all. No one appreciates how things have gone to hell in terms of customer service and quality of food. Do not buy in to any of the 5 star crap, they are obviously made up because they just want to stay afloat. There customer service is in the toilet. if you need good food and customer service drive away from Federicos as quick as you can, do yourself a BIG favor and look elsewhere, The girl had her young daughter in there by the hot grill also.Trust me all they care about is making a few bucks, they know nothing about how the Customer always comes first with big smiles, Love and thoroughness to completion. Cook came outside where we were sitting and smiled and smirked because we didn't get our .50cents back and they ripped us off.

Really solid Mexican food, which is especially hard to find in North Snotsdale. Excellent variety of proteins that go beyond the usual fare (cabeza, legua, adobada). Super friendly and helpful staff.

Federico's is not just some Filibertos knock off. They have extra large portions, super cool attitudes and the best damn cabeza tacos I've had in the Valley. Legitimately huge, delicious and not to be underestimated, Federico's on Frank Lloyd Wright has amazing food...

They got my order wrong, I ordered Carne asada taco combo and charged me for a country burrito recieved the receipt, things happen so I said nothing, she then realized I had the Carne asada combo and charged me the correct amount which is fine and I was happier getting the meal I really wanted. As she closed the window I heard "a-hole". I received my order, decided to return the food to get a refund.

Ordered cabeza burrito with salsa one day and a half order of super nachos. Burrito was very good. Nachos were good but need to put in description ingredients. Half order was really large. Should include salsa with every order without having to ask.

It’s so amazing def my favorite mexican place (and i’ve been to a lot), the food is always delicious and portions are big. Only complaint is that the prices are a little on the high side, but if you order on a delivery app w/ coupon and do it for pick up then u can get it for cheaper while the store makes the same anti of $$$! Guy working at the front is super nice + the chef that’s always there when he is. Also the girl with the nails is cool!

They have awesome enchiladas, the enchilada plate was great. These were loaded with cheese and the sauce was delicious. The rice had corn and peas in it. It was delicious. The refried beans are delicious. Well worth the price and wait. Enchiladas were made fresh. Definitely will be back!!

POISONED MY HUSBAND I asked for NO CHEESE at least 3 times. My husband's order had cheese in it. They wash themselves of responsibility because "the chef said they didnt put cheese in it" and "I put no cheese on the ticket". The cheese did not just magically appear. The only way to fix it is to go back. This is the worst service I've ever had.

Worst Cabeza burrito I’ve had. Flavorless and dry. I added salt and lemon and salsa and it still didn’t help. Would recommend trying something else, everyone else was ordering bean and cheese burritos, maybe that’s the way to go at this location.

One star, I looked and it said open until midnight 7 days per week now. I was excited I had a beer and told everyone it was open until midnight I got done at 10:25 and closed…change your hours or be open.

Drive thru wasn't responding after 6AM. Drove up to the window and nobody served me. Called and they answered. Server appeared to be in a bad mood. Food is very good here but service appears to have gone down recently. Would think twice about coming back.

I have eaten here many times over, there always friendly and fast with there service. The only negative I have is they could cook there french fries longer. I have ordered the carne asada fries a few times from here and the fries are always half cooked.

Food was honestly pretty good. It was very fresh. We got the Machaca and Carne Asada Tacos. Could have both used a tad more seasoning. The portions are a good size but the price is a little on the high side. Plus the waitress taking our order was a little rude. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

They were out of flan and the fries in the Carne asada fries were not the beautiful crinkle cut thick fries in their picture on the menu but the dish was delicious, I would imagine it's even better when it's with the other fries. We added the toppings when we were back home so it wouldn't get all soggy.

We are new to Scottsdale, since February, and we have been to Frederico‘s 3-4 times. We love love love their breakfast burrito. We get the chorizo special every time with the green sauce. One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. Always hot & fresh. Big enough that I can eat 1/2 today, 1/2 tomorrow. And, if you get there before 9:30a they are a couple dollars less. Im an early riser so that works for me.

Federico's hits the spot every time. True Arizona drive thru Mexican for the North Scottsdale crowd. If you don't need a $20 margarita, but are just craving solid carné asada, this is your place. Staff is always awesome. They carry a variety of Mexican sodas, ices, and candies, too.

This place is the bomb! All their food is really good. And the medium salsa, (like the other salsas, I'm sure) is made fresh.... AND.... If you happen to remember Chevy's Salsa..... It tastes just like their's did! But better!

I'm from San Diego so I know Mexican food and Frederico's made me feel at home with the menu. 4 stars for limited salsa selection and the pollo taco tortilla seemed uncooked. Never had cheese in a machaca burrito, I liked it. Overall if your in town and craving Mexican food stop by.

We ordered pork entrees both were tasty, but overcooked. The rice and beans were spot on. We ate in the restaurant, the help picked up a broom that tipped over, but never tidied up the wrappers or food on the floor and tables.

This place is better than other locations because they have four fresh salsa options. Most Federicos only have two. They have a medium chunky that is friggin fantastic and they have a red extra extra hot salsa. Super hot. I love spicy food. So I appreciate the salsa options. Great service, great food.

I been here once for a breakfast burrito. The food was good the customer service was average. I came in tonight and had the best experience with a gentleman by the name of Gerry. This young man showed that he genuinely cared. He answered all my questions and helped me get the best dish with the best salsas. He knows his stuff especially his salsas. People like him make it a no brainer to comeback to this business. Give this kid a raise cause he is a great example of excellent customer service & hospitality.

For fast food this place is great. It is not gourmet but the food is definitely solid and the prices very reasonable for what you get. I went there because I had just moved and was at a store next to Federico's. I was hungry so I went to Federico's. I ordered the shrimp salad and the ceviche. They actually were pretty good and the ceviche at the price was terrific. I have returned several times.

Love this place ! The carne asada (grilled Beef) street tacos are awesome with the customary cilantro and onions. Green salsa is the bomb too and the Best thing about this place is THE STAFF. Super friendly and always sweet. They also have a huge assortment of mexican candies including Vero Mango suckers. Spicy ! Yum.

Best Mexican food in this neighborhood... Refried beans are good, spicy green chili, yummy carne asada and really good chips & salsa...to name a few. Waaaayyy better food/salsa than the other 2 Federicos (different recipes.. I asked!). They have a SECRET MENU!!! Also very clean and very friendly and helpful staff.

Their Corn and Flour tortillas are very good. Fresh and soft. Their shrimp, adobada and carnita tacos are all quite tasty. As is their bean burrito. Their salsa is also good! However, carne asada was not very flavorful though cooked well. The shredded beef was dried and leathery. And the guacamole was like thick green soup. (See pic) It looks nothing like what they show on their website. So overall, average. Go to Cafe Rio down the street -- it's fresh and amazing!

If you check my profile you will see that I have written many reviews, and that in general I keep things pretty positive. I have to say that in all my years on Trip Advisor this restaurant was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The staff were friendly and kind, but that was literally the only redeeming thing. We went to the TalkingStick location, after having driven by it the night before. I should say that we are very familiar with Mexican food and have visited Mexico several times, so our displeasure was not a lack of knowledge for the cuisine. On the contrary, we are huge fans. The food here is drastically underseasoned. My husband ordered a shrimp dish which came out exactly like fajitas, that is sautéed with onions and peppers. It looked as though it were in some kind of orange sauce or seasoning, but it literally had no flavour - as though they just use paprika or something! This came with refried beans that were, well, refried beans. Also a large tortilla which was wrapped up in tinfoil and obviously steamed, so it stuck to the tinfoil and was so rubbery it was basically inedible. I ordered the Carne Asada. They asked me if I wanted the steak in whole pieces or chopped. I said chopped. My steak came in small, dry, flavourless cubes. They had absolutely no seasoning, not even salt and pepper. My son ordered a beef taco, which had been deep fried. It was nice in that it stayed together as opposed to crumbling into million pieces, always a risk with a crispy taco. But it was so saturated in oil, when he offered me a bite my mouth literally filled up with cooking oil. It was disgusting. There are some excellent reviews on here, which makes me wonder if the restaurant is good at busy times, but saves previously cooked food to perhaps reheat or refry in slower times? We had to return to our hotel and be near a bathroom for the rest of the day! There is a small condiment bar at the front counter which features salsa verde and different types of sauces. We tried them, they were all underwhelming like everything else. I do not really understand people's claims that the prices are good. Our meal cost us more than $50 and my son is only 6! It's 100% a fast food style restaurant, with some cute if tired decor. My son liked the bright colours and pictures so that was cool. But we would never return. I feel bad when I look at his photo doing the thumbs up because he had anticipated his first AZ taco for a long time. :-(

looking for mexican food to go or eat in at any hour of the day federicos is the place. cant get past the carneasada burrito but everything else is made with the same quality
