This is a great find. Wonderful food that isn't just Irish stuff but made in authentically Irish fashion. Presented with great service, atmosphere, and price. Worth driving from Northern Berrien County to enjoy. Will be returning.

My favorite place of all time. It feels like home and Monday is open Irish night. SO wonderful!! The pub burger is excellent, and the Mollie Malone Stew is to die for.

Was in town for a few days, and was severely impressed with the quality of the food, drink options, and service. Shouts out to the bartender Jeremy, he had great suggestions for my girlfriend’s mother and was on point with our drinks as well. One of the best bars I’ve been to, will definitely be stopping again next time I’m in town

Horrible experience. Went for restaurant week, blatantly falsely advertised prices. We paid $4 more than advertised for drinks. Horrible service don’t come here

It looks like an Irish pub inside. The food is typically Irish but there are alternatives available for someone not interested in those choices. Good food and reasonable prices. There is live music on some nights.

This was my first time there. I had the pub burger. It was delicious. Perfect temperature. My nephew had the Shepard's pie. He said it was very good. Waitress was friendly and very helpful with the menu. The atmosphere was great!

I went with a group of friends and everyone's dish had me wanting to come to try each dish that each person ordered. The salmon was delicious and savory!!

This place lives up to the stellar reviews. We stopped there tonight on our road trip from Utah. The staff were SO awesome! The food was delicious, and everyone was so accommodating! My kids want to go back tomorrow! I would definitely go out of my way to come back if I’m ever in this area again!

Every time I've visited in the past I've had a great experience but this Wednesday was awful. Service was slow and we ended up getting a different server multiple times. To top it off, the other member of my party ended up sick after the fish, shrimp and chips and scotch egg.

A great experience for dinner if you are looking for something different.

Best restaurant in South Bend. Phenomenal.

We stopped in for a small bite to eat and something to drink on a warm Friday evening. The crowd was smallish but enjoying the band playing Irish folk music. We shared the Irish Poutine (excellent) with a pint of Guinness and a cider. The highlight was when the band broke into a spirited version of White Rabbit in the Irish folk style!

So nice it reminds me of the UK! 💫⭐ Really nice people and lovely wooden interior with loads of trinkets and photos on the wall of various historical things!

There’s no question about it if you want Irish and want to enjoy an Irish style pub & hospitality and you’re in the South Bend area or Northern Indiana and you don’t stop here you will without a doubt be missing out . This is a MUST Stop !! The food is to boot and the Live music in the evening is a perfect touch ! I’ve been to Ireland six times and the fiddler can match anything I’ve ever been to in Ireland . Great atmosphere; good food. The continuing problem here is Management. Mr Terry Meehan is often sighted in the bar/restaurant drinking his Champagne Velvet. He pays more attention to his pickle ball teams instead of his employees. Carol Meehan is the true face of Fiddlers Hearth (she truly wears the pants in the family). If you choose to go to this restaurant, please do not use the restrooms. There is definitely a health code issue here as the toilets continue to overflow and leak into the basement storage area. If you pay attention to staffing changes; please note that they are constantly changing/replacing/firing management staff. Their son runs another establishment which has most of the same issues. Sadly,, food is good; great music; Management is horrendous. Lots of other restaurants/bars in the area, please choose wisely and avoid the Fiddlers Hearth establishment,

Great Irish food classics and they have live music most days. If you're there on a Monday night it's one of the few places that open in downtown. Check them out!

Visited after a Cubs game. It was fairly busy and there was live music playing. My daughter ordered the sundae and enjoyed it. The food was very authentic but we struggled to get out of our comfort zone enough to enjoy it.

Great service with a lovely waiter. Great recommendation and knowledge of the menu. Would recommend to anyone! Never fails to satisfy.

Trevor was our server and he was awesome. He made great recommendations, was friendly with our two year old, and was just the right amount of attentive. One of his recommendations was the scotch egg and I'm sad we didn't get two. It was excellent and even the two year old enjoyed it! All the food our table ordered was fantastic: salmon, Ham/brie/pear sandwich, the kids' hot dog and fries, and a Cobb salad. Their ranch is also bomb. The live music was great and provided a fun atmosphere. We definitely would go back!

We ate outside, and the weather was perfect! Our server was courteous. The food was extremely tasty! I had the salmon, my husband had the seafood stew, and my brother -in-law had the Irish stew. Prices are high, but worth a visit. Before we left, there were musicians arriving, setting up, and beginning to play. A great part of the evening: live music!

Amazing! Shepherds Pie so delicious! (Do not add cheese on it!) So delicious. Definitely one of the best I have had. We had some delicious appetizer it was a peice of toast (crostini) with cheese and a tomato! And their bailey's with coffee and heavy cream on top, just perfect! They have a puppet shows there!!! So cute!

Try some place else! Drinks were bad unless you only want beer! Paid and Left without finishing drinks!

Nice pub with great food and drinks. The whole staff was extremely friendly and inviting. It was a great mid afternoon spot for a late lunch and couple of pints. Worth the stop if you’re in the area.

Wow! The food was amazing. The scotch eggs were outstanding. First time I ever had fish and chips wrapped in news paper is the US. Just like as a kid in England. The service was top notch. We were a big group and it was smooth and error free. Definately recommend.

We do love going down to Fiddler's. Food and service is good. Depending on whether you want to have a conversation though it might be too loud when some of the live music is going. The live music is a great part of the atmosphere though.

Went there for dinner and enjoyed the ambiance as well as the food. Had the fish and chips which comes wrapped in newspaper, and it was delicious. We were traveling for work and just happened to find this place and really liked it. Service was good and our server was friendly and helpful. Next trip through South Bend, will stop here again and recommend it.

It was crowded and we had to wait for a seat, however I was drawn in by the vibe. Everyone was happy, everyone was enjoying themselves, and I felt really welcomed. The food was good and this is the perfect place to end a long workweek!!!

As soon as you walk in... It's a whole new world. Absolutely loved this place. Drinks were awesome and had drinks of any kind. St. Pats was fantastic with live music, fast and delicious serve. Finding seats was difficult but worth every minute waiting. Staff was friendly and atmosphere really felt like what fiddles stands for.

We’ve been regular customers since e the doors opened and have experienced the growth and changes over the years. It’s still a one of kind experience and closely modeled to the real pubs in Celtic regions. Food is very good and the music when they have it is entertaining and enjoyable. My only request is that they bring back the Sunday brunch they had before COVID and put boxtys back on the menu!

Fiddler's hearth has a great shepherd's pie and Scotch eggs. They also carry Harp which is made by Guinness and is one of my favorite lager beer.🍺🍻

We took a hockey team and parents out to dinner here. The service was great! The atmosphere was fun and the food was good too. What more could you need.?!

Fiddlers Hearth is a wonderful local pub and do happy they are back open for lunch again. They are always busy, so be prepared for a wait and PLEASE if there is a wait, sign in on the clipboard provided. The waitstaff are kind and attentive bur seriously working very work to clear tables and get people seated. The entry way is a but snug. My favorite is the scotch eggs with mustard and soft boiled egg making the yolk slightly runny. You can never go wrong with the Sheperds Pie, though while the fish and chips was delicious the breading easily came right off. The only confusing thing was the flourless chocolate cake. Overall it was delicious with the different syrups and berries. However, it is served on a slate plate with no edges with the syrups dripping off the sides and the scrapping of the spoon on the slate was a bit rough audibly.

Exactly what one would think of when they want “vibes”. Scotch egg, out of this world. Ruben, with fresh, delish bread. And ingredients you know are quality. Ate here on a Monday and the live music was playing! A nice treat.

My first experience I tried to go put in an application they told me they will get back with me and never did so they've already started off the experience poorly I never got to taste the food

One of my all time favorite places on Earth. The atmosphere is perfect, the food is delicious and the drinks are decently priced. It looks and feels exactly like a hole-in-the-wall pub should.

0 STARS. I'm writing to express my deep disappointment and outrage at the incident that occurred on Saturday, January 20th, 2024 at Fiddler's Hearth. I, along with 3 associates, had chosen to celebrate a Notre Dame hockey victory at your establishment, only to be subjected to a deeply humiliating and unjust experience. Upon entering Fiddler's Hearth, everything appeared to be normal. We however did sit there for 20 minutes with no acknowledgment. Then, our evening took a distressing turn when a waiter, accompanied by two police officers, approached our table and requested me to leave the premises.I was utterly bewildered by this request and inquired about the reason for my expulsion. The waitress informed me that there was a supposed no trespassing order against me from Fiddler's Hearth. To my astonishment, this was the first time I had ever heard of such an order (it has since been confirmed by my attorney that there was no and has never been a protective order or trespassing order ever filed against me). I complied with the waiter, request to leave, not because I was in the wrong, but because I was deeply confused and embarrassed in front of my associates, who were my clients, given that I am a local business owner myself. As I was escorted out by the police officers, they explained that they happened to be present at Fiddler's and were unaware of the circumstances surrounding my removal. Important detail regarding my interaction with the police officers present during the incident. When the officers asked me if I had been served with any information regarding trespassing orders, I expressed to them that I had not received any such notice. They informed me that it is standard protocol to serve an individual with a trespassing order, which further highlights the confusion and surprise. To be unjustly accused and embarrassed without any legitimate documentation or prior notice of a no trespassing order is simply unacceptable. I will never visit this establishment again. Horrendous business practices and they will be hearing from the BBB, Attorney General and my attorney.

This joint has a ton of personality and history built into it! I was so happy to find something near my hotel that wasn’t just another chain. Service was quick and there was live music the night I went. Beers are plentiful and had a wide selection. Food was authentic and I thought it was fantastic. Try the brussel sprouts!

Worst poutine I've ever had. Idk if pissed someone off by coming in at 915 but wow, that was bad! The sausage was rock hard! Scotch egg was good, service was okay. Bad enough that I wouldn't give it a second try though. Bummer because the pictures of food on Google looked phenomenal.

Food was great had the steak and Guinness pie, but drinks were very expensive. I had a double teelings on the rocks and it was 20 dollars, pretty steep for a 40-45 dollar bottle

We are in town for a hockey tournament and stopped in last night for dinner. The place was packed! Our server was fantastic even though she was so busy. My husband had the Shepherds pie and it was delicious! The Rueben was also a s star dish! The waitress even got me my own to go of their homemade pickles, I’m pregnant and they were the best! My son wants to come back for the fries before we leave!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Perfect atmosphere for a weary traveler looking for some comfort food to relax on a cold evening. I was lucky enough to come in when a local group of string players was gathering to play folk music. They were lovely, service was friendly and welcoming, food was absolutely delicious, and the Guinness was proper. I’ll be back next time I’m in South Bend.

Stupidly went here the night before a Notre Dame football game so it was very busy. Once we sat down we ordered the poutine and scotch eggs and both were it phenomenal. Ambiance was great and we were seated right next to the fire. Our two servers were great and very attentive and we had various meals - fish and chips, Guinness steak pie, a chicken pot pie and all felt our meals were top notch. No complaints at all and would absolutely return.

Stopped in on Halloween for a bite and a beer. The smithwicks was smooth and the Molly Malone seafood stew was the best meal I've had in at least a year. I genuinely almost cried, it was exactly what my body needed. 12/10 highly recommend

okay, it's now 4:30 AM, and i've been vomiting since 3:00 AM. had the fish and chips lunch here yesterday, it tasted fine--a little basic, like fishsticks. had a stomach ache all day, figured it was just because it was a heavier meal. boy, was i wrong. violently ill and i'm pregnant. was so excited to try this place, will stay away forever. maybe the other stuff is good, but i wouldn't trust it. running to the bathroom again.

We always seek to visit this wonderful cafe when in town. Service is always attentive, with very good food, and a nice array of entertainment. Fiddlers is a fun place to visit.

Understaffed badly, were there for a Friday lunch on a football weekend, waited 20 min to get acknowledged and then another 15 for beers to come, wanted to have lunch but extremely slow we didn’t end up eating.
