Great food, wonderful service from Jacqueline, we liked what we ordered, we got the ravioli and spaghetti with meatballs. I did not like that they serve margarine with the fresh bread you get, I Unfortunately can't eat margarine, and think they should have an option of real butter.

We visited are sick grandparents at the hospital. We needed to smoke a cigg.They guy cutting grass asked us if we were ok .we talked. He came back said he wanted to give her and us dinner.he brought us all salads. Plates of speggttie. Meatballs.and it was so good.great hearted people there and incredibly great food thank you so much FIGARETTI'S.YOUR AWSOME

Busy place that I always like to come back to when coming home. Was disappointing this visit as the food was not impressive. Not many Italian options in Wheeling and Figs hold on with their prior reputation....please don't slip

As most reviews I read, most mentioned their amazing server and our did not disappoint either. She was fantastic, helped with suggestions, modifications, and taming tired kids. The food was phenomenal, reasonably priced especially for the portions. We all enjoyed leftovers and brought home a jar of sauce! They don't have a set kids menu, but do offer smaller portions of most pasta dishes for kids.

This restaurant is a must try for anyone in the area. The atmosphere, service, and food can't be beat. You can even buy their sauce in local grocery stores. My ONLY complaint is they only sell one kind and their bolognese I would buy cases of!

Lobster ravioli with vodka sauce was delicious

My husband and I were traveling through when we found this spot. The food was amazing! My husband had prime rib and I had lobster tail which were both delicious. We topped our meal off with lemon cream cake. Also the owner checked on us several times as we noticed he walked through and checked on everyone. I loved that. Such a special touch. I highly recommend this spot!

Last night, our friends invited us to Figaretti’s for dinner, especially because you serve Veal Parmesan which is perhaps my favorite meal. The service was great and my wife and two others had great meals, but…. The Veal Parmigiana was DISSAPOINTING. The meat was too thick , AND VERY TOUGH. It was eve difficult to cut with a steak knife. IF I ever return, we drove there from Piedmont Lake, I will forgo the Veal Parm. BTW, I also think the crust should be crunchier …From a disappointed Sicilian, who knows how to cook..

Wow, the food was spectacular and portions plentiful. The pork Chop was perfectly cooked and tasty. Calamari was large, had tentacles, food was great. What made it better was the perfect server, which by the way did everything and more for us. Definitely will return!

With Bella Via gone, this has become our go to for good Italian. The staff are super friendly, the portions are decent, and we like supporting local places. The food is typically very good, but as a few other reviews have noted it can be uneven at times. My last salad looked like the lettuce was at least a month old and the crab ravioli had more peppers/onions than crab, but that was the first time we have had a disappointing experience; we will certainly be back.

Eggplant Parm, Veal Parm, linguine, sauce, salad, and bread (it was almost like an appetizer) were fantastic!! So glad we planned our vacation to include a stop here! Our server was wonderful…..attentive and even helped me out!!!!

We had been here a year ago while traveling. Still a great Italian restaurant. Food very good, presentation very good but the staff and service GREAT. anytime we are in the area we will stop by. They do sell their sauce locally and we buy it often. Great experience

We were able to get a reservation on a Friday night outside on the patio. They put us at a high top because they had a large party coming. Uncomfortable table and the large party cancelled. Sauce was good but the pasta was mushy. Waitress did not tell us about the specials. We ate and left full but would not go back.

A great little italian resturant. Food is great snd service just as good. If you have that Wheeling feeling stop in and give it a try.

We had a great experience. Our waitress, Alli, was terrific and instrumental in providing us such a wonderful experience. The marinara sauce is delicious as well as the sausage. We took 3 jars of sauce home as well as a couple of containers of the mushroom bisque

May 2024 Update. Food is still great. Tracy, our server was very gracious and "johnny on the spot" with her service! It is always a treat to stop in at WV's best Italian restaurant on our way through Wheeling.

Ok. This is my new favorite Italian restaurant. The people working there were fantastic. They even let me take a picture of their groovy chandelier. My server, Nikki was great, and checked in on me every time she went past. The food was amazing! I had the Chicken Parmesan w Fettuccine, and an extra meatball. The only downside was that I didn't have room for dessert. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. You could feel the history. I can't wait to go back. I think next time I will start with dessert.

Figaretti's Restaurant has been voted the best Italian restaurant in West Virginia. Tonight they got two votes from Pennsylvania.

This was 4/21/24. Do not order food to go within the last hour before closing. The steak salad had 3 French fries that appeared to have come from the bottom of the fryer and there was ZERO steak in the salad. It was all fried steak (I'm assuming) fat. Literally it was all fat chunks each the size of a nickel. EXTREMELY disappointing. Almost looked as it it was scraps from someone's plate. The spaghetti dinner marinara was so watery and runny it was nothing like previously ordered spaghetti or like other reviews. It must have been as if they tossed leftovers into the bag as it was close to closing. We drove 30 minutes each way for takeout dinner. NEVER AGAIN.

We had an exceptional experience! We arrived around 730 on a Saturday night and it was packed. No matter, they sat the 2 of us right away, super accommodating. Service was so fast and friendly, we felt like family. Food was delicious, came out quick and hot...on a busy Saturday. Nice LARGE glass of wine! Chatted with one of the family friends who was helping out for the evening, and he threw in a jar of marinara sauce to take home before we left. WONDERFUL!

Allie (sp) was our waitress and she was so incredibly kind and professional. She is the epitome of what the service industry should be. The two at the front, a male and female, were also very accommodating. The food was delicious also! Overall a wonderful experience and when we return to Wheeling, we will return to Figaretti’s.

Never had them before since I’m not a local. Decided to give them a try. The worst experience. We ordered thru DoorDash (I 100% blame the restaurant and not the person who received and delivered my order). Items were either missing or wrong in my order. The food was barely warm (the dasher messaged me from the restaurant saying they were taking a long time, almost 10 minutes of waiting), and when you go to call the restaurant, nobody picks up the phone. I also feel like the food was very much mediocre and bland. The bread was so stale and dry it was pretty much inedible. I unfortunately had to go thru DoorDash to settle the dispute since they would not answer their phone. Would not recommend to anyone.

I'm a top Google reviewer to start... I must say, the service and food that we recieved tonight was beyond expectations! Ali was my server and I thought at times I seen smoke come off of her heels, she was so fast to accommodate everything we needed, the food was hands down 5 stars delicious, even other customers who sat next to us we're friendly and amazing. All around an incredible experience.... just an amazing environment! If your trying to get that true authentic Wheeling Feeling I recommend Figaretti's 100%! I personally thank these folks for the best date night that us tired parents have had in sooooooo long! We will certainly be coming back!

The service was fantastic! Alli C took great care of us. We ordered steak, ricotta stuffed shells, wedding soup and mushroom bisque. Everything was delicious. We ordered peanut butter pie and tiramisu to-go. We will definitely be back!

This place is top notch, from the food, to the service and the atmosphere! The chicken picatta was one of the most flavorful dishes I've ever had at a restaurant. The pasta and chicken were cooked perfectly and the abundance of lemon flavor was very refreshing. The homemade tortellini was the best tortellini we ever had. Love the table bread they bring out too. Highly recommend you try the fried Zucchini too, they're HUGE.

This is such a cute little restaurant. If you didn't know it was there, you might pass it. The service was great, our waitress was amazing. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was just as great. I couldn't recommend this enough!

We went for the first time because a friend recommend us this restaurant. I didn’t like it. Table was dirty, cutlery looks dirty, plates dirty. My pasta (Chicken Parmesan over Fettucine) was overcooked. It was sad, we went with high expectations but the experience was the opposite.

Have been here in the past and it’s been great! However my latest visit was for Valentine’s Day and I was very disappointed with the experience. Our food was alright, however our chicken appetizer was served to us still raw and had to be sent back. Our waitress was nice enough but constantly referred to us as kiddos, which I personally felt bothered by being that I’m an adult women in my mid 20’s and my boyfriend being 30. We also ended up waiting a half hour for our bill upon being done with our meal and we’re the last ones to leave the restaurant due to our waitress being on a smoke break. Overall felt the wait staff could’ve been more professional and more accommodating of the appetizer mishap. Will probably give them another try sometime because it has been great in the past but still pretty disappointed with our latest visit.

I love this place but today they fell hard. Dinner reservations at 3:30 so not in the mad rush of the day. I always get the chicken picatta and today being Valentine’s Day that is what I got. My chicken was burnt black on one side. Obviously the cook made sure to put that side down. After getting half way through it I flipped it over and found out why it didn’t taste like usual and why it was so hard to cut. An employee stopped by our table and asked if I would like a box and I said no it’s burnt and pointed at it. And she said oh. And took the plate and nothing was said about it. I then ordered tiramisu and coffee. After waiting for what seemed a long time I got my dessert but no utensils. It took the server three times stopping by my table before she remembered to get me one on her fourth trip. Excited for this wonderful dessert I took a bite and it was frozen. So I gave up on hoping for a good dining experience and asked for a box. To which we had to go back through the waiting for utensils to put the dessert into the container because she had scooped up the utensils again. The coffee tasted like wheeling water I guess. It had an unpleasant taste. Something that could be corrected by a water filter or bottled water. Until today. This was my favorite place to eat. Next time my husband wants to take me to Pittsburgh for dinner. I’m going to say yes. FYI. Check number 0355.

I came in with another couple on 2/10/24…Kim was a PHENOMENAL waitress. She greeted us as soon as we sat down, got our drinks and refills without wait! Our food was great and Kim made us feel right at home like it was our regular spot when it was only our first time! Make sure to ask for her!

I got delivery pasta and meat sauce and added meatballs. The meat was not even there I’ve had jarred sauces that were much better. Hope their higher end stuff is much better. Meatballs weren’t bad though.

While driving down to Wheeling, my friend and I were looking to try something different for lunch. Figaretti’s Restaurant was our choice. I ordered spaghetti with a meatball and a Caesar salad. I was very satisfied with my meal. The sauce was a little sweet but different and very delicious. The prices were reasonable as well. Our server was so kind and friendly! Overall my experience was great😊

YEESS!!! Planned a family Christmas trip to Oglebay and got a recommendation from a friend to try this place while we were in W Va. I'm SO GLAD we did. We had 22 of us in December, called to make reservations, and we were treated like VIP's. There was a large outdoor tent set up next to the building that had firepits, chandeliers and outdoor carpet. We never felt like we were outside. The service was great, the food was wonderful and the atmosphere was top notch! I HIGHLY recommend this place and will absolutely make the 1.5 hour drive to go there again. Thank you for being awesome!

Food is always good but it is cramped. If you have a large party they should find another way to seat you. But other than that it's great. We go every year while at Oglebay.

Don’t drink the water if you’re out of state Saying that the water taste taste OK I’ll buy up the stuff for breakfast. If you’re in the size of shack, the place is going to be small

Their sketti with Marinara is my favorite meal when not feeling well. It is perfection. Also, their Italian dressing is so darn good!

Super friendly service and great prices

It’s no wonder why this place has been in service since 1948. Great atmosphere, good food and exceptional service! Quaint and cozy, vodka sauce is awesome but no kidding…the best pork chop I’ve ever had in my life! If Darby is your waitress take a selfie and ask for her autograph…she is a true superstar! Save room for desert too, chefs kiss!

Figaretti's was recommended to me by the hotel staff I was staying at while in Wheeling, WV. First because I was flying solo I was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar to which I said no. I got seated in the back of the restaurant by the back door and kitchen. Lovely. My drink order and lunch order was taken fairly rapidly. My drink and Italian wedding soup along with bread arrived in good time. Then I waited and waited and waited and waited for my entrée of meat ravioli to arrive. I finally got the attention of one of the owners and then it was just a few minutes when I had my lunch. The ravioli themselves were okay and were just typical. The marinara sauce was very thin, very sweet and very bland. It tasted like sugar was added to the sauce and nothing in the way of Italian herbs. The food was average, the service went down hill big time and I will not be back whenever I am in Wheeling again.

One of the best Italian restaurants we have ever been to. The food and service was outstanding. The Ravioli was Amazing along with the sauce. I had the split with 1/2 meat ravioli with marinara and 1/2 cheese with vodka sauce. It was heaven with every bite! My husband had the lasagna and loved it. The portion was huge. The salad was very tasty with their homemade Italian dressing and the lemon cake was delish! Prices were very reasonable and the service was wonderful. Enjoyed our dinner very much. A must visit if in the area!

What a gem in Wheeling WV. My colleague brought me here for dinner and being frome Chicago I felt like I was in little Italy south side. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere at the bar is special. Meet new friends in a comfortable setting with great drinks and food. Colleen makes the best old fashioned I've ever had! She uses a secret bitters. Must try. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! The staff are incredible, our waitress was so attentive and the manager/owner came by multiple times to offer additional service. Felt like a king and family all at the same time! The food was unbelievable. Large portions and amazing quality! I had the best pork chop of my life, so tender and perfectly seasoned. Don't skip Figaretti's!! Perfect for a date, and can accommodate larger groups.

I had a party of 7 and no reservation. All of us from out of town and had never been here before. We were met with the most outstanding service. Was a busy night but we were seated within 25 minutes of arriving. The wait staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Food was AMAZING. 3 from our group got the pork chop and all of them said it was a strong contender for the best pork chop they had ever eaten. I got the salmon, salad and penne pasta with vodka sauce. Delicious. Not one complaint from the entire group. Thank you for a fabulous dinner and for seating our large group despite not having made a reservation. Highly recommend and would return if ever in town again.

Absolutely the best Italian food. The sauce is definitely award winning. The cheese sticks and banana poppers are so amazing. I wish I had purchased a few jars of the sauce.

Two of my friends and I went to Figaretti‘s the other night. We are from Cincinnati and stayed at a Oglebay resort last week. I used to go there with my grandparents and parents when I was young. Dino and the staff were amazing!! Dino was waiting for us when we drove up, and he parked our car. A Golf pro that we met at the golf course called in and said he was waiting for the three of us to eat dinner, so Dino was so sweet to park the car. Figarettis was packed on a Wednesday night!!! The food was the best Italian food I have ever eaten! , and Dino even gave each of us the best jar of spaghetti sauce I have ever had! Thank you so much Dino and staff for a great experience! Genuine Italian fare! Just like home cooked. The Osso Buco is the best I have ever had! The atmosphere is quaint and so very homey! All the recipes are old original family staples. Could not love this place more.

Figaretti's is a family owned Italian restaurant in Wheeling, WV. It has been in operation since 1948. The food and service are excellent. Most evenings there is a wait so if you have a group, definitely make reservations.

The food was Fantastic! So glad we left the resort and found this little gem 💎 I definitely suggest reservations tho.

I've always enjoyed dining here with friends but about a month ago, my 8 year old daughter asked me to take her to a new restaurant and she loves Italian cuisine so I took her to Figarettis, although my experience has always been enjoyable this trip was different!! My daughter wanted to sit in their outdoor space so I obliged! Whole dining outside she struck up a conversation with a gentleman at one table over who turned out to be the owner Dino, he was so accommodating to her and carried on a convo for a while. I explained to him that it was her first time there and that she loved Italian and th at I had been there previously with friends a few times but had never brought her there before and that she was loving her food and experience, he ended up discounting her meal due to a spider incident and asked her to stop back to see him again! Tonight we went again as per my daughter's request. "Mom can we go to my new favorite restaurant?" After enjoying our meal, she asked to speak to Dino since they're besties now, he came to our booth with a jar of sauce and sat and talked to her for at least 10 mins. She literally felt so special!!! We will be back for many years to come and I feel like these will be core memories for her thanks to her experience each time we've visited! Thank you for such an incredible and memorable dining experience!!!

The pasta was al dente!! I’m used to going to family-owned Italian-American restaurants and seeing the dance kinds of items this restaurant has on offer, and being served tasty sauce with overcooked pasta. But at Figaretti’s I was so pleased to take the first bite of my food and discover they didn’t overcook the pasta, nor leave it in a warm pot to continue cooking for long periods of time, because it was perfectly al dente. The service was prompt and friendly, the other patrons were lively, and the menu options were plentiful for most any taste. Very highly recommended.

We discovered this place by accident while passing through West Virginia. It's an out-of-the-way place passed down through generations with authentic Italian food. If you're expecting Olive Garden, don't f""""ing bother. The people were super nice and the food was spot 👌 on.

We were visiting from out of town and this place is now a must on our list when traveling through! The service was absolutely amazing from the owners and employees' families helping out and trying to get everyone a table, to the amazing food options and great outdoor seating area we got to enjoy. Prices are good too for a nice dinner date. Highly recommend!!

The wait staff were very friendly, prompt to take our drink orders and immediately returned to take our food orders. The service was great. The atmosphere on the outdoor patio was perfect. I will only comment on my entree. The sausage, peppers and onions over fettuccine, was quite tasty; however, i was disappointed that it included one very small piece of sausage, massive amounts of peppers and onions and very little fettuccine. I would not order again.
