Charging you a lot and giving you a little food and the food is not like it used to be is horrible

Need more space pàrking,and service area.

The service was slow, but I guess that's to be expected. However, my jerk wings came out amazing. Nice and juicy, most importantly, not dry.

Check your receipts before leaving. The prices on the board aren’t the same prices that they are charging you. They will give you attitude even when they are in the wrong then refuse to give you your plate. The cashier lies and calls herself the manager and the person who packs the food seems to be her lap dog.

Some of the best Authentic Caribbean cuisine in New England!!! Must have the Curried Goat & Oxtail!!!

Why is the staff sooooooooo I mean extremely rude, if you never knew how to suck your teeth well you will learn by taking a trip to flames...Ive tried their food maybe 3 -4 times over the years and it never fails. Nasty attitudes rule here!!

They are serving tilapia as king fish they are scamming people I drive here every so often I'm a pescartian I know the difference of what kind of fish I eat ! And don't eat !! Sad they have lost my business behind this scam

The food is great but the price tags are not clear. You can't rely on the display to plan your budget. The guy that served was impatient and seemed too much in a hurry. But, a very nice lady took over and concluded the transaction. Nice ambience, clean restaurant. Only problem was the guy at the counter, otherwise a really great place.

Will serve you anything. Chicken soup is really carrot and potatoe soup no chicken. Go somewhere else it is not worth it

Compared to the other two places in the neighborhood . Food is cooked. The Huntington location the oxtails !! You need the jawbone of a lion to get the meat off the bone

We always go to flames for food ,usually would recommend flames to Friends and family , but went there last night the food was horrible would not recommend it again will not go back , spent $54 for three plates and had to throw it away.

Blood just shot up out of the $13 small jerk chicken plate. Never mind the rude staff. Be careful. Especiall In the last hour of them being open. Wish I could post a photo. I’m pissed.

Went in today for a Pattie with coco bread and cheese. Woman taking orders seemed unpleased to be serving a woman after flirting with the gentleman ahead of me. Asked for the Pattie and coco bread with cheese. She proceeded to grabbed one Pattie, then handed to it to the chef who was standing at the kitchen window. He took it. They had me standing there for 7 minutes waiting for them to heat it up and add the coco bread with cheese to the Pattie. The chef slapped the brown bag on the window counter like someone slapping a table after dominating a domino game. Then the woman at the cash register (whom was much more pleasant than the one serving the food) went to grab my food only to be told by the woman who was serving the food that the microwave doesn’t work. Ummm what? So you had me waiting there, knowing that my food was not being heated only to look me dead in the face and say “yeah the microwave doesn’t work”! No effort was made to somehow remedy the situation. I live in this community and boy am I tired of trying to support “our people” only to be treated like an outsider. Customer service should always be of high quality and standards but toi many times we don’t call “our people” out on their poor behaviors. Flames please level up and do better. We “your people, your customers, your patrons” deserve better service.

The food is traditional Jamaican style. The seasonings it's great and traditional.

Creole Jamaican food incredible tasting Island Food. I will definitely put my foot on it that this is the greatest flames in the Boston area,,From all others in the surrounding Boston area. Mattapan flames is number one the lines are sometimes long but they will get to you I Recommend.this restaurant to all family members in the Massachusetts area 100% clean.

This place is GREAT! Food is incredible a definite must try! I had the jerk chicken/fried chicken and peas and rice. Portions were healthy. Most definitely coming back

Beyond pissed, normally I give folks a chance to right wrongs, but this is the third time ive bought soup from there and have received 2 cups full of meat flavored water, NO MEAT, NO FOOD in the cup after spending $15. The time before this One big bone with food no meat!!!!! Do BETTER FLAMES

Baybeeee!! Leme tell you! I live in a food Mecca, but this spot right here SMASHES ALLLLLL the Jamaican spots I've been to outside of Jamaica itself! The food was amazing and actually tasted like my mother or Aunty cooked it! I had callaloo, fish cake, cornmeal dumpling, and FRESH Coco bread! Lawd! I wanted to try it all, but had a plane to catch! If I'm ever back in Boston, I gotta stop here again!

Best Jamaican restaurant in Massachusetts

Flames double charged me for my meal. I opted not to get a receipt and that was my mistake. My meal was $21 and when I looked at my bank account, I was charged $43. I learned my lesson and will NEVER go back to flames!

Excellent customer service, great food, island dishes made perfectly, natural juices, a lot to choose from something for everyone.

Great Jamaican cuisine must try, a staple to Boston. You must have the oxtail and rice and peas with the soup and Oreo pie highly suggested. Great food every time I walk in and I’ve lived in Boston all my life and this place here never disappoints. Gotta have when in town.

This place is a quintessential Jamaican spot, it does not pretend to be something it's not. The food is fresh and the service is worthy of 5 stars. Unbeleivably delicious food with hardy portions and fair prices. Truly a feast for the senses. 10/10 would reccomend

The dishes are always tasty and delicious. I ordered the breakfast which included okra and salt fish and yellow yam. It was very filling and the portions were large. Kept me filled for the whole day. Definitely trying again

True taste of Jamaican food... delicious and fresh cooked food prepared by amazing Jamaican culinary experts and enjoyed by all nationalities. They stay cool even when rude customers come back to return food they said don't taste good. Maybe next time the customer should just cook their food at home.

Unprofessional and Ignorant ! The staff is very rude and unprofessional. I’m starting to believe if you are a Black American you are not welcomed in their business. I was next in line and someone carribean was behind me. One of the staff said next in line, overlooked me purposely and went to assist the man that was behind me. I won’t be supporting their business anymore

Flames is definitely a good spot for carribean foods. Curries, steamed fish veggies, rice and peas,etc.I give them four stars because I asked for a Side of Chicken Soup with my order but when I was ready to eat my soup the next day, it wasn't chicken soup. Still don't know what meat it was. Another family member ate it and said it was good. 2/1/23 Update. Flames is still a good spot. Food was good as always just a little bit too Spicy for me today.

I love the food here but the parking lot has very limited spots and inside is very tight. The line starts in the back of the store and ends at the front door. The staff isn't very friendly but again the food is very tasteful.

Each time I've gone I've been satisfied with my food.

This shows how much they lack quality of food. On a slow day you get a patty cocoa bread that looked like it has been pinched away during preparation. Never again! If I could give a negative star I would!

I give the service 2 stars not because the staff is rude, but because the line to wait on your food never seem to change whether there is 2 people in the restaurant or there are a dozen. The wait time is the same. Logically that had never made sense to me. That is my one concern. Other than that, high marks on all other boxes checked, tasty food, good people, prices right, generous portions etc...

Food is good and good portions but sometimes the music/tv is so loud you have to yell your order which can sometimes be annoying

Food was awesome and very filling! My wife and I got the small and it was more than we could eat. Jerk chicken was pretty spicy and delicious. My wife got the curry chicken that was good as well. No seating inside so prepare to get it to go.

Don’t know where to begin went there last night to get stuff for my family, I got home check my stuff and I noticed both of my Coco bread and cheese was without cheese check the chicken completely burnt and not fresh I couldn’t go back last night So I called this morning And I explain to one of the employees what happened she said to come in an she will redo it so I got there this evening because I was working out of town the employee that was there tonight was completely rude no customer service at all just rude she decided to say she cannot help me because she she is not the person I spoke with this morning I ended up getting a fish cake and it’s completely oily and hard terrible terrible service terrible food last night and today never again please work on your customer service

Not how it used to be... Back in the days was 🔥. Extremely skimp larges. I might as well got a small and got the same portion. No love in the restaurant. It’s a shame used to be my favorite location now the one in Grove Hall is my numero uno

Authentic Jamaican Home cooking.

It was good at one time. The good vibes turned bad when one of the cooks was cursing big Jamaican curse words over my food, I don't appreciate that sort of energy around my food. The food taste different like they changed cooks. The shrimp dinner was nasty because they put too much curry powder on it. And they give you tiny forks with the food.

Great place for all Jamaican dishes

I've been going to the various Flames for some time, mostly the Randolph and Brockton locations. The food is consistent in each Restaurant, so I know what to expect even in different spots. The portions are a good value and you never feel like you are being shortchanged on your order. I eat Pork, but they don't have Pork items on the menu such as chops or jerk pork. But the have a great varried amount of dishes.

Always a great time. Quick friendly service, Big portions, and delicious food bursting with flavor.

God, why can't these people be nice to the customers. They act like they are doing the customers a favor. Remember without the customers you are nothing. The food is ok hit or miss sometime, but they act like they are serving gourmet food. The food is ok. Stop being rude and greet your customers. Remember all great empires fall.SMFH.

Great food personnel Service Excellence

As a Jamaican who is sometimes lazy and doesn't want to cook food I can tell you this every single Jamaican that opens a restaurant in the United States is most likely the worst cook where they come from. When they started they were great but now it's like they put no effort and they hire the rudest people possible like you are doing them a favor by giving them your money for subpar food because it's a quick pinch. I don't even know why the people who work in almost any flames location work there why are they in service why do they want this job there are other jobs customer service is definitely lacking in all flames locations

The food has always been great! Servers are friendly! Prices are reasonable! I just struggle with the door that sticks from the wind...🤭

To me this place great dinners and the have 4 sizes of plates to choose from fresh vegetables as nd beans as and rice cheese cake mac and cheese check it out for yourself

Best Cooked Food in the Street!

Had to wait twenty minutes for chicken wings to come out and they weren't hot or warm. Everything else was good.

New and fresh! Meals are flavorful and options are abundant. Great for cultural breakfast, lunch or dinner. I always enjoy my food from here. I've been a customer for years and will be for more years to come. As long as it continues to be consistent!
