Nestled up right on the water this place was a delightful lunch spot. Wood fired pizza and views. The restaurant had a nice history and really chill vibes. The pizza was incredible. It turned a non pineapple on pizza person into a believer. They look like they can handle large groups or have nice two seater tables for a more romantic lunch. I'd try this place again next time I'm in town.

Great food with a view of the water from inside the restaurant. The Casco Bay Pizza is a must! The 16” was perfect for 2. Highly recommend!

Wonderful! We sat outside along the water and enjoyed drinks and the co-evolution pizza. We ate it all before we had a chance to take a picture. It was so fresh and delicious and Elijah was WONDERFUL as our server. He was friendly, helpful, made great recommendations! Thank you! They also had great mock tail options. We visited from out-of-state but would come back if we are ever back in Portland.

Fantastic pizza. Friendly waitstaff, shout out to Will. Had Freedom’s Edge cider on tap. Kids loved it so much that we went back a second time.

It was fine. We had the pesto pizza and a cheese pizza. It took about 40 minutes after ordering to get our food. the cheese pizza was obviously defunct as it came out like a log instead of a circle and slightly burnt on one side. Definitely not worth the wait

Love it. Always great. You have to ask for a booth near the ovens to be comfortable and view the pizza making process. It's a vacation destination for us.

Pretty!! We sat outside by the water. We came here recommended by a local. We ordered the chicken bacon ranch. I asked for no onions and it came with onions . Other than that It was regular nothing special. Ordered a mule & It wasnt in a mule cup :( . Ordered the brownie sundae which they advertise that its warmed in a wood oven ok.. Nothing special either…brownie wasnt even warm.

Amazing discovery, my girlfriend and I liked it so much that we actually went twice in 3 days. You can order a big pizza with 2 different sides. The view outside is great, but inside is cool too because you get to see the ovens.

If they read my review. I would like a menu with photos. I am a tourist. Who doesn't speak the language well. And it was very difficult for me to understand the menu. I spent a lot of time on this. Because of this, for me, a more acceptable type of menu is a photo 😁 to understand what the dish looks like. Overall the service is excellent. There weren't any problems. The staff is attentive. I don't remember the guy's name. But there was a tall guy, a waiter. He's great, thank him for his patience with us and the attention he paid to us. I definitely recommend visiting the pizzeria. The pizza there is delicious ❤️

Let’s start with some compliments. They have a lovely location and building with a super fun atmosphere. Their waitlist is easy to use and efficient, I appreciate that I can track my position. The pizzas were quite tasty, however not necessarily worth their price point. All that said, the service was honestly awful, the drinks were mid at best, and the food took over an hour to come out. Our dinner before plans turned into our full evening plan because it took 3 hours from seating to leaving, and we truthfully were only eating for about 30 minutes at most. Our server took several minutes to first come to our table, and once she did, she took our entire order. Due to that, she seemed to not feel the need to come back to check in ever, even when we ran out of drinks and had to go grab them ourselves from their patio bar for people waiting. She told us right after she put our order in that it was currently taking over an hour for pizzas, but never apologized for the inconvenience, asked if we wanted/needed anything in the meantime while we waited, or checked back in during the 75 minutes we waited for our pizza. On top of all that, we were sitting at a shared table, and had table mate strangers who couldn’t help but try to bond over our shared hangriness, which only made me realize in the moment how ridiculous and unprofessional this whole situation was.

I stopped by on a whim, and I am so glad I did! Excellent pizza selection, regardless of your dietary needs. The strawberry vinaigrette salad with goat cheese was amazing!

I recently visited the Flatbread Company Restaurant, and despite not being a pizza person, I was thoroughly impressed. The pizza was outstanding and truly won me over with its flavors and quality.Additionally, the seasonal salad was excellent. The freshness of the ingredients and the delightful dressing made it a standout dish. It complemented the pizza perfectly and added a nice balance to the meal.Overall, Flatbread Company Restaurant exceeded my expectations with its delicious offerings, especially for someone who doesn't typically go for pizza. Highly recommended!

Such a great place and atmosphere! Love sitting at the bar while waiting for the ferry. Good food, awesome staff and a great location! Sometimes the wait is a bit long during prime times.

The pizza was great. The service was not. The waiter was very friendly, but he forgot to submit our order to the kitchen. We waited while we watched everyone who sat after us get their food. Eventually, the waiter realized his mistake, came over to let us know, but never offered anything for us having to wait so long.

Amazing pizza. The ovens are extremely impressive. Great views of the ferries too.

Was excited to go I am Celiac Order gluten free pizza coevolution with out goat cheese cooked on pan. Asked a side of sauce to dip in I also had a gluten free brownie sunday. Asked waitress about glueten free beer after a 3 sec look on menu she said no. When I looked there was from brewary up th street. Pizza good Dessert was good My husband loved his regular stone cooked pizza However I was glutened have in in the bathroom non stop since last evening Will not be back

Great place for a beer and pizza!

The flatbreads are delicious! We had one with goats cheese, peppers and fennel sausage. We had cocktails while waiting for the pizza to cook and they were brilliant! We all got different ones and all equally impressed with them.

Takeout was horrible, usually pretty good dining in. Pizza was dry and cold. We picked it up exactly when they said it would be done

We were excited to find a highly rated wood fired pizza restaurant along the water…sadly, we found it to be incredibly bland, overpriced, and with poor service. Our waitress never came by to check on us or offer more water after we ordered. She only collected the check. After waiting over an hour for our bland food and poor service I have to say this was a big disappointment.

Best pizza and atmosphere ever! Staff is great.

Very expensive for ok Pizza. Terrible service. The waitress put all the beers on the end of the table and left us to guess which was which. Crazy for a pile of $8 beers in Maine. Atmosphere is too loud to talk or hear if inside, even midweek at least during the Summer. I have been to several of the surrounding restaurants focused on seafood and they were more fun and more friendly.

Friendly service. Delicious gourmet pizza. Thin crust. I tried their salad and it was fresh and tha tasty. Highly recommend.

What a fun place! Awesome atmosphere, great service, and superb food. Kid friendly with great waitstaff. Although the pizza was great I must say the salad was superior. The freshest, yummiest salad I have ever had a restaurant.

My group chose this spot for dinner to celebrate the first night of my bachelor party weekend in Portland. There were 6 of us so we had a table outside by the water. Ordered a round of beers and 4 flatbread pizzas. Can't quite remember the names but there was one with mushrooms, another with sausage, amongst some other delicious ingredients! Our waitress actually came over to our table before our order was ready and gave us a small pizza that was made by accident, we would never turn down free pizza!!!!

The Coevolution is my personal favorite, and the salads are great, too. I can't imagine how you can go wrong here!

This is one of my new favorite spots! The outdoor area is built over the water, the service is great, and most importantly the pizza is delicious. And, if you’re someone who can’t eat wheat, their gluten-free crust is THE BEST I’ve had and it’s not even close.

Pizza was ok but waiting an hour and a half to get it wasn't. The chairs are hard wood planks to boot. Not to mention we had to ask for plates after our food came

Our Portland Guide Service Captain Jack recommendation was spot on. After a memorable day on the harbor we were hangry. It was GREAT! Salads, pizzas, Margaritas and beers on top did not disappoint and were all top notch! Booths were comfortable, service, food and drinks were all exceptional! We will definitely be back to enjoy an awesome meal in front of the open fire pizza ovens every time we are in Portland!

Nice place on the water, not really a great view. Ordered pizza that took 45 min. to get to table. They did take it off the bill but the experience detracted from how good the pizza was.

The pizza was good. My husband’s pizza was super oily but flavor was good. Gfree pizza was good. However, the company still charged us full price without compensating for my husband’s meal that arrived AFTER 4 other tables were served. He received his meal 30 minutes after mine. There was very little hospitality for such a mistake and I was unimpressed with their “fixing” of the problem or getting his “pizza re made right away”. For this reason alone, I would debate whether I return.

Food was very good. Service was quick to get a table and attentive. Food takes a little while to get out but that's because everything is freshly made to order. Good selection of pizza along with make your own. Seasonal cocktail menu, and good beer.

Great lunch / dinner spot in Portland for pizza (and amazing, fresh salad spot too). My go to pizza has their bbq pineapple sauce topped with cheese, corn, red onion, mushrooms and sausage. The salads are always fresh and their vinaigrette is so delicious. Tip - dip your pizza in the dressing! Great service, atmosphere and consistently good food.

When I walked in I was asked if my buzzer went off. I explained I did t have one, I was just hoping to get a table for 3 (two kids in tow). The exchange made me feel like I had breached etiquette; regardless we were seated without anything said to make me feel bad. Our server, Mike, was a total pro. Good with the kids, pleasant to speak with. Not realizing that a flatbread pizza is less filling, we ordered a small. When Mike noticed our order taking some time, he let us know he checked in with kitchen and it should be right out. This wasn’t lip service: it was on the table in 5 minutes. Food was delicious. My kids are pizza connoisseurs and they were like “this is amazing.” Our check arrived promptly, and so we were able to get a bite to eat before catching the 2:15 to Peak’s Island. Basically, we weren’t the best customers and we’re still treated kindly.

This is a nice casual spot by the water that serves delicious flatbread wood fired pizza. We shared a large pizza (Mopsy's Kalua Pork Pie with pork, mango bbq sauce, red onions, pineapple, goat cheese, mozarella) and all the ingredients tasted very fresh and went well together. One of the highlights was also the homemade ranch sauce, which was honestly one of the best ranch sauces I have ever had. Service was very friendly as well! We would definitely be back to this place! Excellent experience!

The food was great, fresh and organic veggies. We had a chicken and pineapple pizza and a Chicken Bacon Ranch salad with free range chicken, greens and fresh vegetables. The place is small, so it gets a little loud. The menus are great, the covers have been designed by little kids, quite entertaining.

We’ve been coming to Flatbread since it opened in town. It’s known and consistently excellent food. Our daughter is just home from college so we three were off! We had the beet/goat cheese salad, seaweed salad with goat cheese and seaweed salad with blue cheese. We also ordered a Jay’s Heart with sausage and half and lit with mushrooms. Our food didn’t disappoint!! Our waitress, Kylie P, was flat, frankly came off as uninterested in being at work (including waiting on us). It’s not good wait staff form to reach over anyone in a party and she did so to deliver our drinks and then our salads. We don’t need sunshine but genuinely checking in would have been nice.

All of my comments are based on a very very busy day because of high school graduations so should probably be taken with a grain of salt. It was very, very noisy and hard for me to hear the one person that I was having lunch with just across the table but it was celebratory noise and understandable. Our server made an attempt initially to be very cordial and personal with us which was perfect but after that he fell off the radar and I even had to seek him out for something he said he was going to bring. Again, this is probably more understandable on this day because he was being torn in many directions. The food, pizza and salad, were ordinary but what we expected at a pizza place.

We got the half and half for take out. The food was great ! Hot and ready when we got there.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice comfortable place. Great pizza and relaxing atmosphere. Next time in town we’ll be back.

I love this place. The ambiance, the staff, and of course the food. Love the Seaweed Salad with goat cheese!! And all the pizza is yummy homemade woodfire pizza. Consistent and soul fueling. They also give back to the local community and care for the world. Try it you won't be disappointed

A go to place for us, especially on a Saturday or Sunday for lunch. Great vibe, great location, food (pizzas and salads) are really good and prepared right in front of you (depending on where you sit), nice local beer list, lots of local sourcing, helpful and cheerful staff, artistic flourishes with the chalk board posted menus, and nice views of the harbor/ferry terminal.

Everything was delicious. Our toddler son has Celiacs. They were able to accommodate his dietary needs by keeping his pizza seperate from others and using clean kitchen tools in order to avoid cross contamination! We love it there and it’s always consistently delicious.

My brother claims their pizzas to be one of the best and he has eaten a lot of pizzas. I totally agree with him. Even though we only ordered takeout, we relished every bite that we plan to come back, dine and enjoy the view.

A Solid thin Crust! Great Pie! Freshly Grated Parmesan is a nice touch! Highly Recommend!

After the one bite pizza review we watched I wasn’t sure what to expect but after ordering the pizza and it coming out nearly perfect I was impressed. The big pizza ovens in the space are great and reading about how they were built on the wall inside was awesome! Great place to eat lunch and get pizza!

We got the Jay’s Heart traditional flatbread pizza and lemonade. Both were amazing! Highly recommend. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the pick up process was a bit disorganized.

Great food and service. They also have a nice beer selection. They have a dairy free cheese, but it's not clear if you can substitute it on any pizza choice. It does seem to attract a lot of people in their teens/20s. Tables are pretty close together, so keep that in mind if you bring children or do not want to feel like your in a high school.

Had very delicious vegan flatbread here! Finding a place good vegan flatbread can be hard and I’m glad I gave this place a go! The view is also stunning

Went for dinner around 6 and got right in…seems like there was a long line when we left around 7. Pizza and salad portions were great - enough that my friend and I split the salad and a large pizza and it was more than enough. Good beer selection, laid back vibes, there was live music which was a nice surprise. We had the Coevolution pizza and it was such a good mix of sweet and savory.

Great place, great food! We were visiting town for work, and this place was right across from the hotel. We were seated quickly. Adrian was super friendly! He gave us recommendations of what to do locally, and answered all our questions patiently. Would visit again if ever back in the area.

The food was okay and came quickly but they did get someone in my parties food wrong. Wasn’t a floppy pizza which was good but very oily.

Flatbread is the absolute go-to in our eyes if you're hungry in Portland and evening thinking about debating on what to eat. Take advantage of Yelp's webpage in which you can put yourself on the waitlist ahead of time and in real-time stay up-to-date on how long you'll be waiting for a table (sometimes there is an hour+ wait). Once you sit and start getting served -- practice some patience because the restaurant is typically quite busy and they cook pizzas out of one (large) wood-fired oven. Enjoy the ambiance (it's loud and often chaotic) but there's a certain rustic beauty to the entire production. Drink beer, celebrate, and bask in the warmth form the oven's fire because you're going to feast once served. Pro Tip: ask for additional sides/toppings... our favorites for pizza are their local-made hotsauce, their salad dress, parm cheese and garlic oil (but there are other hidden secrets that your server may recommend).

After being disappointed at another pizza place right down the street, I found this spot. So glad I did. I sat at the bar and was promptly greeted. The drafts were excellent and the pizza was delicious! Will definitely return.

First let me start with I love Flatbreads but was disappointed with the service this time. Our waitress honestly seemed stoned and it took a while for her to get to us and then she forgot half our meal, the salads. We still had our pizzas which are always great and you can't beat the atmosphere. Once we pointed out we didnt get our salads, she blamed it on a mix up in the system, but they made it right. They packed up our salads and removed them from the bill. I'm just tired of servers who are high and that's across the board for a lot of restaurants in Portland.

Friendly staff, good food, and if you can get a seat by the window facing the pier, it's a fantastic view too.

This isn’t my first meal with Flatbread Company but it was my first one in Portland! The food is very consistent with other locations, and the staff was even friendlier here! Food came out quickly despite how busy they were, and it was high quality. They also appeared to have great food allergy protocols because my flatbread came out on a special little tray 💞 It’s always nice to feel safe eating out but it can be hard to find a place that cares! Thank you!

Flatbread pizza was delicious. We had the pepperoni and mushrooms. They got mixed up and forgot ours . Or gave it to someone else .So they apologized and gave it to us for free. Great place on the water.

I've been to the flatbread company many times in i've never been disappointed. Make sure you get the house dressing AND parmesan cheese on the side for your pizza.

We are from out of town and this restaurant made my whole family happy. We enjoyed Mopsey's Kalua (their version of a Hawaiian pizza) but the gem was the entree bacon chicken salad - fresh, tasty, easily enough for two. The server (Mike, employee of the week!) was friendly and attentive. Drinks include fresh squeezed lemonade, sarsaparilla, and Mexican coke.

Every time we visit Portland, Flatbread is a must stop for beer and dining. It has an outdoor picnic table dining area that’s pet friendly with an efficient wait staff. This trip we got our favorite, the Community Flatbread, to go. It’s a delicious wood fired flatbread with organic caramelized onions and mushrooms, that’s always consistent, always tasty.
