Food was so salty. My first and last time going. I spend 62 dollars waste of money.

You gotta get the sausage, eggs, grits and toast. It was so good!!!

If I can give 5+ stars I will, this is a small restaurant with the best soul food in the area. I’ve tried everything on the menu and they’re all so good. Trust me you won’t go wrong, the staff are all so friendly.

So disappointed. Flava’s wasn’t flavoring this morning. Order smothered chicken and a smothered pork chop meal and the gravy taste like it came out of a pack, eggs taste like it was poured from a carton and half the pork chop was bone. They haven’t been the same since they left Perrine. They don’t use butter, the margarine didn’t even melt not even a little bit. Bread so stale it fell apart just from picking it up. Grits tasted like water, I had to re-season the grits and gravy. When Mr. Bell oversaw everything in Perrine this place was the best down south, hands down. Idk who they collabed with when they re-opened in Goulds but this was my second and very last time wasting my money on them. They don’t even have anywhere to sit and enjoy your food so microwaving it is inevitable. Quality is pure trash these days. 2/10

Food was disgusting! Don't believe the hype. One of my orders was chicken and waffles. My waffle was flat not fluffy and it wasn't cooked fully you can still taste the batter. My chicken looked like they were cooked in old oil that's how dark they was the chicken taste salty and still was bleeding pink in the inside which means they weren't done either. I also order the salmon cake with grits and eggs for my husband which the coquette looked burnt but we didnt even bother to try it. The food was all upsetting cause we were ready to eat. I will not be ordering from them ever again and thanks to Uber eats I got my money back. And if I could submit a picture so you can see what I'm talking about you be shocked. My food was clearly not made from a chef who love to cook, It gave the chef was Tired and ready to quit.

I had high hopes on trying a local place to order food for a 4 coworkers and myself. I wanted to treat them for breakfast ~ The service was great but the flavor and freshness of the snapper was disappointing. The fish was very dry and flavorless. The home style potatoes were like tiny chiclets and bland. The eggs and grits were ok. Def wouldn’t order again. I’m really big on fresh food esp fish ~ They were friendly but that does not make up for the food!

I order pork chop it was not a full pork chop 2 pieces. I has to return back to restaurant get another meal. Once I got the meal pork chop was freeze burn, grits was not fully cook taste like dish soap. YOU PEOPLES NEED TO DO BETTER..I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK

This was our first stop for food after stepping out of the airport. The customer service was welcoming and the food was delicious. My cousin raved about the shrimp & grits.

My son and I came to this place thinking it was a sit-down full service restaurant. It was a to go only store front. Why not change the website to show that. We decided to check out the food to support a black own business. We were handed our food in plastic containers, and when we got home to check it out the food wasn't good at all. I had the shrimp and grits, which is something I make myself. I'm from Chicago and was visiting. I wouldn't come back to this place due to the false advertising on the website. I was very disappointed 😞

Got Grits With Cheese On Top With Sausage and Bacon With 2 Sunny Side Up Eggs And I Can Honestly Say That This Place Is One Of The Best Breakfast Spots Down South The Only Bad Thing I Can Say Is They Have To Change The Way They Cook The Bacon Because Even Though It's Thick Cut It Lacks Flavor And Also The Flop Is The GoTo Drink

The service was like coming HOME...and I loved it. Literally felt like family and this was my first time here. Now for the food...I got the chicken and waffles, with grits and eggs and added sauteed onions. The chicken was NEXT LEVEL good...and the waffles came with powdered cinnamon I believe and was good without syrup. The sauteed onions were freaking EPIC a long with the grits. The eggs were about average...it wasn't bad...but it was world class...but eating the whole meal as a collective... simply AMAZING. My only gripe is that this food is so good, I wish they had an area to dine in but unfortunately it's takeout only. If you are in the area you HAVE to try them out... YOU'RE WELCOME 😁

I had breakfast here yesterday and it was awesome! I ordered shrimp and grits with scrambled eggs and toast. I really enjoyed it. The shrimp were cooked to perfection. The grits were creamy and the gravy on top was flavorful. On the way out, I decided to get a salmon croquette to go. It's a little pricey at $4.99 for one but after tasting it, I decided it was money well spent! I broke off a piece when I got in the car and it was so good I ended up eating the whole darn thing before I got home. This place serves up comfort food to the max and I left satisfied! I plan to return to try the chicken and waffles. They looked amazing.

Amazing! Wish I got pictures. Chicken and waffles really good. A little cinnamon sugar on the waffle. I didn't get the Belgian just one. Wings were really good seasoning and breading. Family business makes it even better

Breakfast is their speciality with a good variety to choose from. We had the shrimp, grits and egg (very flavorful) and (fresh) snapper fillet. Coffee ,Sweet tea and toast. Atmosphere is friendly and they have loyal repeat customers (based on their interaction) who dine in or take out. We have recently returned to the So Dade area and this place was recommended. Portion sizes were good. Spent $29 for 2 ppl plus $6 tip. I'm having them cater breakfast for me in 3 weeks for our Sunday School because I was extremely impressed with the service, friendliness and quality of food. Well done folks..

I never knew this place existed until my friend took me here. They have good corn beef hash. It was delicious. And I really enjoyed myself. This is a African American family owned restaurant. They were down to earth. I had no complaints at all!

The food is AWESOME! I have been looking for a new bfast place and found it here! The staff was as friendly and welcoming as the father and son owners who personally greeted me asking about the food and experience!! They have the best scrambled eggs and sausage pattie it's to die for. The food is on point and they serve nothing but breakfast. I had a pork chop with their lemonade and you get 1 free refill that's amazing I love it I will definitely drive all the way back down south just to eat there every Friday and Saturday and Sunday morning. Next time I'm going to try something else on their menu and I know it will have my mouth watering lol.

The takeout service was awesome...waited less than 20 mins. The cashier was super nice...but $4.99 for 1 salmon pattie was too expensive...if it was the size of a pancake, then that price would be good....but it fitted inside the palm of my hand...

This was the best meal I had while in Miami. The grouper and home fries blew me away. The service was outstanding. One of the owners made sure to check in on us and was genuinely interested in our thoughts on our order. I’ll be back for sure. True home cooking that can’t be beat.

Wish I lived in the area so I could go eat here all the time. I'm a sucker for some soul food and Flava's is serving up traditional comfort food menu items all at an affordable price. Went with friends in which we ordered the Shrimp and Grits $10.99 and the chicken waffles. I adored my shrimp and grits---portion size was phenomenal, the fresh flavors were all there, the cheesy grits cooked perfectly and my scrambled eggs much better than most breakfast spots. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles which he was not too fond of considering its price and how it came out. He felt that the waffle were very good, liking the cinnamon, but didn't care for the choice of wings on top. Most chicken and waffles come with chicken breast to make it easier to eat together which is the only reason he disliked it. He did love the fried chicken though and when I tried it the batter was delicious! I would probably go back and get the wings but not to eat with the waffle since I'm not a sweets in the morning type anyways.
