I couldn’t wait to come back to this beautiful stand in the farmers market! They are so consistent, So reliable, honest and operate with integrity. I have never had anything disappointing here. Always great food, amazing atmosphere and great service. We had 2 people with allergies and the owner/chef and his wife were so knowledgeable about every ingredient in every dish! Highly recommended. Thank me later 😁

My fiancé and I come here once a week. We’re an hour away. It’s worth the drive! Everything is made fresh from quality ingredients. The feta garlic and herb is fantastic along with any cold salads they have to offer. Jimmy the owner is so kind and welcoming, he always goes above and beyond not just for us but for everyone else in line. If you haven’t been here yet you’re missing out!

I cannot stress how amazing the food, environment and service are at this place. Everyone was so kind. The chef Jimmy is so kind and if I could, I would eat hear every day. No exaggeration. Also I highly recommend trying the lamb. It’s never my go-to protein, but here it definitly is. They marinate their proteins for 72 hours prior and you can taste it! I had so much food and left feeling full, satisfied and light. You can tell the ingredients are fresh. Definitly try this place 6/5 starts!

Lamb Gyro and tzatziki were incredible. Service was great! Jimmy (the owner) took the time to talk to us about the food and the history. Very warm and welcoming. Organic meats and locally sourced produce. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I love this place. They are always very friendly when we have gone there. Their hibiscus tea is great along with the gyros, salads, and the falafels. I appreciate that they value healthy food. I am health conscious and I know what I am eating isn’t full of bad stuff. They have a lot of gluten free options which really helps me. The chef is great and full of life.

Absolutely the best Mediterranean food for at least 100 miles. Wide and varied selection with so many options for any occasion. I won't go anywhere else for gyros and grape leaves.

Inside the Allentown Farmers Market is this amazing gem called Foods of the Mediterranean. They offer dine in, take out, and a deli style counter service. They have food for all types of diets including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Of course there is schwarma as well for those of you who are looking for a hearty meaty meal. Everything is clearly labeled as vegan, vegetarian, or gluten free so it's easy to get something without a substitute. I love their lunch menu and I like to get the pita platter with moussaka and a couple of sides from their deli counter (some of my favorites include the lentil soup, bulgar, and koushere). They have canned drinks and bottled water as well if you are eating in. When I am done with lunch I love to grab stuff to take home. I get a few containers of their different vegan options, because I'm vegan, and because they taste so good. They will let you sample the items too before buying them so you will know if you like it or not. There is also a hot section where they have spinach pies, and all kinds of other goodies that should be heated up before eating. If you have a restricted diets, are looking to eat healthier, or just want some fresh Mediterranean food then this is the place to go. They also offer catering and have coupons available if you go regularly. I highly recommend trying them out and becoming a regular like me!

The people who work there are very attentive, we ordered lamb gyros that come with 2 side dishes, we tried the grape leaves and feta cheese with olives, the mango juice is made from natural fruit, I recommend everything, super delicious!

I have been to this place two times, now, and I like it so much that I feel compelled to leave this review. Foods of the Mediterranean offers a large and varied selection of mediterranean cuisine at more than fair prices! My famiy and I have enjoyed everything that we have tried so far. But what makes this place extra special is the fast and very freindly service. There is a small counter to eat at, but we like to go there and order a big take out order so that we have enough food to last two days.

They make great authentic sweets, salads and sandwiches. Top notch, treat yourself to a Chicken Shawarma. 🔥

The food here is incredibly fresh, delicious, and served by incredibly warm and kind people. We stopped here on a whim and we're genuinely surprised by the quality of everything. Absolutely making it a regular when we stop by the farmers market, totally recommend it to anyone.

The food was good enough. Prices high on some items, better on others. The service is also spotty; depends on who you get I think. I would go there again but be careful about what I buy. I'm not that comfortable in a snack bar setting that is very busy so the atmosphere is not the best for me. Others may like it though.

I can’t begin to explain how delicious every item I’ve ever had from Foods of the Mediterranean is. Everyone who works there is very sweet and knowledgeable about all the items, their ingredients, and health benefits. I stop in once a week and my meal prep is done for me! I feel super fit and healthy and it’s all because I get to eat the most delicious for in the world..

Great food from what I tried. ( vegan falafel sandwich) & green wrap that has white rice in it. All was great. Only thing I would work on is, the gentleman that asked to leave a review. I got you, the 1st time. I Already was going to. Asking two more times while I’m still working on eating if I had done it. 😒. Be less pushy.

Me and my wife have been looking for a healthy way to eat. This is a goldmine for that. I have purchased everything to try and have not been disappointed with the taste of anything. I recommend you try this place if you are looking to transition from less meat and more healthy eating.

Ive coming here for years. The hummus is the best I've ever tasted. The ONLY dowsize is that there aren't more restaurants of yours around. 100% clean and fresh.

Everything about this place is top notch. Freshly made gyros, right infront of your own eyes. Salads and hummus are all fresh. Pastries and other baked goods are also excellent (dare I mention the baklava). Staff is always warm, quick, and friendly! Today, they were giving free samples of a new Turkish salad (similar to a fresh salsa) which was out of this world!

I first tried their food 15 years ago and since then it’s hard to truly enjoy Mediterranean food anywhere else! Their gyro meat is SO moist and tasty, the hummus is creamy and perfectly balanced with garlic and lemon, the cauliflower with tahini made me LOVE cauliflower, and any eggplant dip is a hit! Compared to Foods of the Mediterranean, other places are a disappointment! Honestly- you’ll never want to go anywhere else!

We've been coming here for many years and are always pleased with food, service, and staff. This is one of our all-time favorite places. The staff is more than friendly - they remember you, treat you like family, and are always glad to answer questions. Food is outstanding. The grape leaves here are the standard by which my kid judges all others and the herbed feta is absolutely dynamite!
