The food is delicious, and the service is exceptional. While I enjoyed the meal, the portion sizes didn't quite match the price, making it feel a bit on the expensive side. However, the complimentary bread with the dip was a delightful touch. Their veggie pizza is hands down the best I've ever had—highly recommended for pizza lovers. Our host was incredibly sweet and attentive, which made the experience even better.

Incredibly clean hotel. Staff treats you as a 5 star guest and the overall feel and atmosphere is welcoming and nice. Greeted with painting and CLEAN rooms. Formaggio offers a nice sleep. Bathroom was clean Rooms quite big And Tons of options for eating

Really good food and service but currently being remodeled. They have a very limited menu, so I wouldn't recommend until the main restaurant reopens. Very poor layout.

Did not want to drive so we walked to this restaurant. It was excellent. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was Damion, and he was great. Had the bruschetta, which is a different version. It comes out warm from the oven with a little bit of honey, to put on crostini. Had a great Ceasar salad with chicken. It was well dressed and delicious.

Eggplant Parm was one of the top disappointments in my dining history, id give another chance but whoa, tough and without other saving graces

Grossly over charged me for a bottle of wine was advertised for 100 but charged me 150. OMG. What a grand disappointment. I plan on filing a complaint. Minus 5 on my rating !!!!

They don’t answer the phone on a normal day at 730. This restaurant is dead. No one around to take orders. If you do get food the burger has so much sauce junk you take one bite and it comes out the back. No good. Just get Uber eats and save the trouble. If you’re lucky enough to get someone to help you they have terrible service and food that’s basically like Sbarro.

Instead, I was told that I could not bring in outside food and need to leave. I told the women, that i have done this many times and had permission from the bar staff. She they are wrong and it was not allowed. I don't understand how multiple bartenders could all be wrong. So not sure what happened today and way all of a sudden I had to leave. The same women who said It wasn't allowed, has been in the bar when I've done it the past. So I have eight more days at this hotel and will be eating my dinner and getting my drinks some place else. Looks like they just lost a ton of money I am a lifetime Marriott Titanium Marriott Member with over 1,700 stays around the world. This is the first time it has ever happened. Frustrating part is that I asked permission and the staff said it was ok and had no problem with it.

Superior service and food quality. More than pleasantly surprised with this hotel restaurant after dining here for the week during a govt business trip. The staff and management are focused on exceeding expectations and mine were high. Especially appreciative of ALI (breakfast), AUSTIN (dinner) and VIOLETA, the manager….. And the unsung hero who is Chef ROBB. I was also quite impressed with the price reasonableness especially while traveling on a business travel budget.

Unfortunately we recently had a terrible experience here (just yesterday ). We used to love it here and I even had my medical school graduation catered here a decade ago. Since the pandemic, this restaurant isn’t the same. Perhaps it’s a staff shortage. We arrived and asked to be seated outside. The hostess actually didn’t know if there was a table available and asked guests sitting around if their neighboring table was available 🤦🏻‍♀️my toddler was running around and my newborn was being rocked and after 15 minutes of zero service I went and asked her if anyone was going to come and actually take our order. Her response was “we didn’t know if you’re staying.” So if you have a guest hanging out 15-20 minutes around the table and you have to guess if they’re staying or not, you lack some serious common sense. She could have just approached us and asked if it was thst confusing. I got NO apology. The waiter said “it’s my first day back since the pandemic.” In fact, neither of them seemed to care that we were visibly upset. The hostess brought water and not a peep. Her ego was bigger than her head to not even be able to provide good customer moving on. We ordered and food took about an hour to come!! The restaurant didn’t even have that many people. No bread served nothing (if you’re gonna take forever to give us food at least bring a basket of bread). The waiter never once updated us on our order or apologized for taking forever. He also never checked in to see if everything tasted OK. My chicken dish was dry as a bone. The pasta was watery. The only good thing was the burger. We will never come back here again.

My wife had the Angle hair spaghetti and Shrimp, I had The Hamburger cooked absolutely to perfection (medium rare). Both meals were AWESOME!!! However, the appetizer was INCREDIBLE!! It was the meatball in a special sauce.

Good food, limited menu. But they do what they do well. Will visit again.

We were thrilled to get a table with-in 40 min on a Friday so I hate to give this restaurant a poor rating but now I know why it so easy to get a table. Unless one is a guest at Marriott there are better dinner restaurants in Rancho Cordova. Short on service staff and cooks and food was sub par. Prices are medium price range

We hesitate to give Fromaggio's any number for a rating. Without a doubt the worst experience we've had in a long time - except for the waitress who was doubling as a bartender. The food was MICROWAVED and had NO TASTE!!! They didn't even have salt & pepper on the table. We have been there in the passed and were pleased, not so now. Please, don't blame the COVID era!

Formaggio is Fantastico! If you live in Rancho and you want a place with a good wine list, this is a great place to come. They have a good list that often features local wines, from El Dorado, Amador, and Lodi. The staff is great, the menu is good, and you can sit outside with a great view of the pool. This is one of Rancho Cordova's best wine bars!

I wasn’t staying at the hotel but at one of the adjacent ones. I walked over for dinner. The service was great - friendly but not too familiar and very helpful. I had a salad (the server suggested a half of the house which was just right) and the fisherman’s stew. The entree was really different and flavourful. Salmon squid and shrimp in a rich broth. Very enjoyable.

While the salmon was tasty and nicely cooked, the bread was mediocre, and the cheesecake was not freshly made. Not only was the cheesecake pre-fab and frozen, it arrived to the table freezer burnt. YUCK. My co-worker and I were sharing it, and after my first bite, I mentioned it was not good, but she had taken about three bites before it registered with her that it was freezer burnt. Ok, stuff happens and all can be forgiven. The real problem was that when I told the server the problem, he said "Well, you consumed part of it, so it must not have been that bad." IT WAS THAT BAD. $9 for a piece of freezer burnt cheesecake??? He said he told the manager and that no refund could be given because we had consumed part of it. Trust, we did not go in there to try to score a free piece of cheesecake (give me a break). There should have been a sincere apology for serving such crap, and an immediate refund, no questions asked. We will not return. Very disappointing.

Website menu not up to date. Very disappointed when I had my mind made up before I meet my family for lunch only to find out I couldn't order what I wanted. Asked for NO ONIONS on my sandwich only to find out I had to take it apart to remove them. Other than that the service was good. Probably will not return.

We ordered food at the bar to go to eat by the pool and take to the room late Sunday evening. It took a very long time for someone to help us at the hostess stand, then even longer for someone at the bar to take our order. Not a lot of options on the menu, especially simple options for kids. The food was good, we ordered a variety of apps and an entree to split. The sausage appetizer was one sausage split down the middle.

I had dinner there on my first night and lunch the following day. The dinner was good, service was slow. Food was above average. Lunch the next day was not so good. We were the only ones eating lunch. My chicken Marsala was super watery and the chicken was cut up thighs. I will pas for lunch next Still time I stay there.

Love this place. I enjoyed sitting at the patio. I had steak that was cooked perfectly. The bread was really good. The service was great! Also had the best martini ever!

Good folks working there. Very accommodating. Food is not only good but nice choices can be made from there menu. We enjoyed ourselves there.

Only bought a drink from here poolside, the staff was very nice. Always asked if I needed anything. Nice place.

They have a new chef at the restaurant, and the food is better than last time I visited. The meal choices are more interesting and the food is prepared very nicely. They still have their pizza grill, so the pizza is still good. The grilled peach salad was very fresh and my scallops were good. They still have some room to improve, for instance if the menu says garlic rolls, don't serve garlic bread.

The breakfast was on point. Loved the made to order omlettes. The waitress was super friendly and the food was great.

Restricted breakfast menu on some days, buffet on other, Memorial day public holiday breakfast was not buffet. Management has structured this service very badly and and does not reflect a stay at 'The Marriott.' Management is being 'cheap' and reflects badly on the brand!

went in around 10pm and only the bar was open. the staff was still really nice and made a pretty strong bacon old fashioned; it's exactly as it sounds. most likely won't ever order it again, but it was a good experience got the fried calamari and shrimp to split and the calamari was good! not overcooked out chewy

After several exhausting and long days at a horse show, we did not want to venture out for our evening meal. The food was almost good and the wine list is way over priced at four times retail. They were doing a land office business with pizzas delivered pool side but we took a pass as it was too noisy for us but the families were having a blast.

This was a wonderful meal and I can’t believe it was in a hotel. Sunday night so I sat at a booth where I could watch the game. Had a great mixed drink that the bartender suggested. Chef pasta of the day, small side salad and ended with a dip of vanilla bean gelato topped with a shot of espresso. Perfect ending. The meal was timed perfectly. Felt like I was in a neighborhood cafe and not a large hotel.

Excellent food and service. They have a good selection of different foods ranging from salads to pizza and burgers. I had their greens salad with feta cheese, cherry tomatoes and added grilled chicken breast. It was good. We also had the roasted Brussel sprouts as an appetizers and it was yummy too. I love the upperscale ambiance of the hotel and restaurant.

Formaggio pleasantly surprised me for dinner and breakfast. Staying at the hotel, I was just too damned lazy to take an Uber to an "outside" eatery, so "settled" for what I thought would be another mediocre restaurant within a hotel. Such was not the case. The staff are friendly and attentive. The menu (especially for dinner) nicely varied. For dinner, I (daringly) sprang for the grilled salmon (rare) with veggies and rice pilaf. The salmon was perfectly crisped to a nice sear on the outside yet pink, fleshy, and juicy inside. It tasted very fresh. Excellent! The veggies were tender crisp and tasty. This meal paired very nicely with a glass of their higher-end Pinot Noir. Dessert was affogato (Italian coffee-based dessert: a shot of espresso poured over a scoop of locally-made vanilla gelato) and a great way to end the meal. Prices are reasonable, given the food quality. If ever in the area again, would not hesitate to eat dinner here. Breakfast the next morning was similarly delicious with equally good service.

Chris made my omelet to perfection. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants a great atmosphere and delicious food. You definitely pay for what you get.
